Christos Greek Restaurant Minnetonka in Minnetonka Mills

We ordered gyros for takeout and... it was just OK. The best part was the tzatziki sauce, loved how fresh the cucumber tasted! The gyro itself was bland and the French fries werent even seasoned. I think we probably just came on an off day? We really had high expectations from the positive reviews!

I ordered Falafel sandwich few times from here for lunch. Tasted very good. Lunch combo comes with Soup and Fries. Huge portions, tasty food.

Very good food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The owner seated us, and he went around to the tables to check up on the guests. All food is available for takeout, which is important during the pandemic, too. Looking forward to grabbing some next time were out. Only regret is that we hadnt eaten here sooner.

Covid-19 postponed our several week trip to Greece so we have been having a bit of a vicarious greek-like experience in the twin cities and Christos is one example of this experience. We ordered take out and had crab cakes for an appetizer. They were very good. For dinner, we ordered Mousaka with potatoes and a bottle of dry greek wine. It was excellent. Our salad was the greek salad. It was very good. We concluded with delicious chocolate Mousse. The staff are excellent and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I both ordered The vegetarian Moussaka. It was delicious and tasted like what we had when we were in Greece. We also ordered the Spanakopita to take home and eat the next day. It was delicious also. I would definitely go there again!!

The food is pretty good, BUT their customer service stinks!We did takeout last week, and had a bad experience with an inexcusably undersized portion...I emphasize, it was not a normal portion!!!We emailed a friendly note to Christos in order to express our dissatisfaction, and to alert them to a problem...We have not received an apology, expression of concern, or even a response from Christos...

So lucky to have this great place as a neighborhood go to place. Food is always delicious. Mojitos are the best in town. Floyd and Gus are are like family.

5 of our family members ate there tonight and it was fantastic! Floyd was an amazing waiter. He could explain the menu and prounciation of the meals. Knew about the beers, wines and desserts.The food was exceptional and very well prepared. I couldnt believe all the flavors!The food service was great. Everything came out perfect and well timed.Even though we were full from the drinks, appetizers and dinner, we still had to try dessert, and that was awesome too.I highly recommend this place!

What a fantastic place to eat! Authentic Greek food! My Husband and I ordered the Hummus and Greek salad for an appetizer, which was served super quick! Hummus tastes like it’s from Greece itself! My husband’s has been craving a Greek salad and Christos was the perfect place to order one. We had the gyros for dinner with a tomato basil and feta cheese soup. The soup was perfect and so was the whole experience! We would recommend and definitely come back!

The only thing better than the excellent food was Ashleys amazing knowledge of the menu and outstanding service. Dip sampler and steamed mussels with perfect Nemea wine to start. The tabouli salad, pastitsio and lamb chops as main courses were so good, we almost kept the staff there all night on the peaceful patio, enjoying our coffee, baklava and galatopoureko for dessert. Thanks so much!

Did pick up, food was amazing, service was great, gloves were used and the experience felt very clean and comfortable. The gyro was legit as usual. Highly recommend, we need to support our local company’s!

This place is very nice and seems like a family restaurant. The food was great and the amount you pay for the food you get is pretty fair. I got Mezes and I got full way earlier than expected. Great place for families. :)

Nice old school Greek restaurant. Our favorite is the gyro meat on a Greek salad with a bowl of soup. If you happen to be seated by an older gentleman, check to make sure your table is assigned to a server.

Very reasonable price for quality and portion of food you get. Good service. Chicken hash is delicious and a decent portion with a good amount of Chicken seasoned light. Gyros come with thick home style fries and thick cuts of meat. The restaurant is located off of HWY 7 a couple miles west of 494.

1st time visiting and it was great!Fantastic service by Kyle and the other staff.We like Greek food and it was everything we hoped for. Tremendous flavors with everything we chose.The Saganaki (flaming cheese is a must order).We will be testing our willpower on our next visit by not ordering just a full table of the amazing Milopita dessert.

My daughter and I stopped in here for a late lunch/early dinner, so we were almost the only ones there. But the service was great and the food was very authentic and tasty! We will definetely go here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Greek Food! Make sure to save room for Baklava!

Quiet for the pleasant setting excellent staff service and the lamb shank was excellent.First place I stopped for a meal upon my return from Wisconsin.

Good food for sure. Our waiter was slow and inattentive but the food was great. We Had the sampler platter for two and couldnt finish it all. Flavors were good, food was hot and fresh, presentation was good. Bring your own water bottle or youll die of thirst waiting for a server to get you a drink. Ill go back...

It is a good and quiet place. Reasonably priced and tasty food. Soup and salad option is what we got. Soup is small but the salad is pretty big, we couldnt finish it and asked for a box. Gyros are great and salads are not extremely sour, which is what I like coming from Europe originally. The total check amount for two lunches, a glass of wine and a beer was about $36 before tips. Recommend this place.

Authentic Greek menu with good flavors and variety. Next time I will kick it up a notch and try something spicier. Wish they had a hot/spicy tzatziki sauce. Prices were reasonable with good service.

We absolutely love the food at this location. Everything is made fresh and it tastes delicious! The prices are right on point. Weve gone with our entire family, children of 8 months to two and a half years old. They have treated us so well and made it really easy to have a family night out. Additionally I stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful time. The service can be a little slow however if youre in a hurry just let them know and Im sure they will accommodate you.

Worst place ever! Placed a catering order for 15 people for delivery for $240. Called day of party to confirm. When food was to arrive no one showed. Called restaurant and they assured me their delivery service "On Time Delivery" would be there. Still no food and I had 15 people coming soon. I called several times and the owner GUS refused to speak to me. The person answering the phone either would just put me on hold or hang up on me. No apologies, no solutions. I needed to know if I needed to find an alternative arrangement for food forms guests. Food finally arrived 30 min late, cold, and rancid tasting. Will never use them again, go to their restaurant, and will be sure to tell everyone about the horrific customer experience.

Came for lunch while visiting a customer near by.Food was actually pretty good - I had the yellow peas soup - yummy, and gyros wrap, which comes with a little salad on the side.It was quite taste and good price too.

A favorite! Both Nicollet Ave and Highway 7 are wonderful, welcoming places. Caroline and Gus are each at one of the facilities making sure everything is good. Egg lemon, tomato basil and other soups or salad for starter. Then lamb, beef and pork or fish or vegetarian dishes wonderfully made and served with a very good range of wine and beer. Marvelous desserts. Excellent price point. Accessible. Parking is best on Highway 7 but enough either place.

This is a cozy, casual restaurant with a large menu. Items were very flavorful, well presented and delicious. Service was very good, wait staff and support were always very attentive, despite a full dining room. Beautiful fire place going on a snowy night added to the ambiance.

I was impressed with how authentic and delicious the food was! The owner was very friendly, the restaurant was very clean, and the food tasted fresh and amazing!I docked off one star because our waitress wasnt that great - I dont think she was having a good day and it was pretty clear that she wasnt happy.

Such a great family restaurant. Always excellent food, service, and presentation. The quality of ingredients is exceptional and is a blend of authentic and American. I love the home made quality and the desserts... Oh the desserts. Chocolate mousse is a must. Thanks for your great place!

My first time here. It was an amazing experience. Authentic Greek food, great prices and a fabulous ambiance. The customer service was out of the world. Will certainly be back and would recommend this to anyone looking for authentic ethnic Greek food

Been here twice now with my husband and it has now made our "date night" list - a new favorite, for sure! Both of our visits were excellent. The food was delicious; fresh and so hot that I could barely eat it right away (which I prefer)! We tried the hummus this past time and I can definitely say its the best weve ever had.. wow! They should sell it by the pint! 😁I got the falafel and spanakopita combo, both items being two of the reasons we went back! (They are both SO good). My husband got the Mediterranean sea bass and was amazed with each bite he took. Our waiters both times were great and quick with service - both differing in terms of personality (one was younger and chatty, the other older and very attentive), but we liked them equally and our experiences were pleasant. Cant wait to go back!

Completely confused at how this place has so many good reviews. I live in the neighborhood, have given Christos a few chances because I love most Greek food. The service is terrible, prices a bit high and they cant even make a decent gyro. The gyro meat I was given tasted microwaved, came with a pita and a tomato wedge. Everyone who works here just seems to be wandering aimlessly. Not going back soon.

Lunch specials here are a great deal! I got a delicious bowl of tomato basil soup with feta, spanakopita, and oven roasted potatoes for under $10. The portions were just right, and everything was hot and fresh!My only complaint was that it took quite a while for the server to come to my table initially. However, after that, things moved along at a good pace.I was definitely happy with the food and will be back again!

Enjoyed excellent food in a relaxing environment! Generous portions served by friendly and fast servers! Light and crispy calamari which was seasoned just right and the leg of lamb was cooked to melt in your mouth perfection!

As always, yummy food! My water tasted "off" this time, so I stopped drinking it. It was really, really weird tasting and not palatable. Not sure if I got a glass that had soap residue or what, but it was very unpleasant. I didnt complain - my choice. I did, however, order a pop and some wine so it was no big deal and I had other options. Our food was super delicious, as always, and I wasnt disappointed this time, too. Love Christos - its my fave restaurant, and nothing will ever deter me from stopping - not even the water. I did get very, very sick later that night, but I have no idea if that was a coincidence or related.

Got the Gyro with fries as a takeout order. The food was ready when I got there and was still hot when I got back to my office. The gyro meat was tender and had great flavor, the Tzatziki was delicious, and the Greek salad had about 10 different components to it working in concert to blow my mind. Overall, the whole meal was out of this world!

I had such a great experience at Christos! The staff was very friendly. My waiter had pink hair and was very hospitable. Atmosphere was jovial and decor tasteful. A local favorite and a real treat. The food is delicious and authentic in flavor. The dip sampler and the moussaka is to die for. Hope this helps!

Tasty, healthy, well-crafted food. Good portions for a good price. Regular specials. Great atmosphere with a fireplace and a sun room. Staff has been attentive and friendly every time Ive gone. Ive gone for lunch a few times and I will be going back.

Great little spot. Can get busy and line out the door at peak times. Falafel is good too.

This is a fantastic dinner spot! The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired amazing with the olive puree. My wife had the shish kabob over a bed of rice and again cooked to perfection, but by far my favorite part was the Baklava! It was so soft and crunchy on the inside and flakey on the outside. Go here for anything from a pizza dinner to a beautiful rack of lamb. Excellent!

Excellent Greek food. The restaurant ambience was really good. I was amazed how every single dish that we ordered was good. Make sure you eat hummus here. That was probably the best. We were served will by the waiter. If you need real authentic tasting Greek food then give this piece a try

Ive only dined in once, I usually do take out, and all experiences are good. When we dined in our waitress was very knowledgeable and was able to explain what everything was and give suggestions. Its a quaint little place. Pretty quick. Food is always delightful.

Weve been here a few times before but this was our best visit yet. Great service, excellent atmosphere and the Greek Hash is TDF. One of the tastiest dishes Ive ever had! Also, any place that has Fulton 300 on tap is doing it right. Ill be back soon!

What a magnificent surprise! I havent been here in years. And I can tell you Ive had probably one of the best meals tonight than I have ever had in 10 years! Floyd was our bartender/server/hospitality expert. He encouraged me to try the mussels which I was doubtful about in a Greek restaurant. They beat any other dish Ive ever had.

Food is always very good. Had a few times where our takeout order was forgotten and had to wait longer to pick it up. Bar is a bit of an afterthought.Years ago we had a run-in where we slipped on their sidewalk and fell, and the the management refused to apologize or pay for some damage that was done to personal property. Even though we like this places food and will continue to return, they permanently lose a star for that.

Is there an option for 6 stars? This was my first time for real Greek food, let alone to Christos. Needless to say, it will not be the last time. Yes, it took some time to get the main course, but wow was it worth the wait!Ive had gyros before, but usually the food truck ones. This was - by far and hands down - the best gyro I have ever had. The meat was hot (not warm or room tempand juicy; perfectly blended. The tomatoes were very well selected; very fresh and tasty. Even the tsatziki was cold and delicious; it wasnt over salted or seasoned, just right.The tuna steak was awesome! Very well seasoned, cooked, and presented. The chicken pita was, like the others: delicious! Each piece was perfectly grilled, well seasoned, and streaming hot. The pita had to have been made in house.I highly recommend Christos. Perhaps its just because its my first real Greek food, but they really set the bar high.

On 1/12/2017 my wife and I joined by 8 other people dined at Christos in Minnetonka. We were celebrating a birthday. It was a few minutes before 6, happy hour ends, and we asked for happy hour drink prices. No! not in the dining room? Our server was over bearing and made us feel uncomfortable asking for every-ones first names. We ordered food and it took a long time to arrive. One order for a simple pizza arrived at least 20 minutes after all the other food was served. The food was mediocre at best. I had asked to have lamb chops, which was on the menu , but was sharply told they didnt have it. The checks arrived and seemed OK. When brought back again their was a 18% service charge for very poor service. Quite a surprise. Never again.

From Duluth, found it on a google restaurant review, and it was AMAZING! The prices were very fair, and the food was incredibly satisfying and delicious. I LOVE gyros, and this place probably has the best gyro Ive ever had, plus you get fries (good, and hot toowith either a soup or salad, all for about $8. They have a whole page on their menu with specials that change daily. Amazing place, with excellent food and courteous staff. Will be returning back every time we make the trip from Duluth. WOW.
