Best museum for admirers of paintings from the Post-Byzantine Cretan School of art. Truly a fascinating exhibition of religious works especially from famous Cretan painters.

It was interesting, a lot of exhibitions-if you want to know more about icons and Christian painting this place is for you.but price is a bit too high for it (4 euro in comparison with e.g. Archeological museum 5 eur)

Fairly small museum with christian art housed in a church. Impressive artworks and old books. Well worth a visit.

Definitely worth visiting if you are interested in religious art. Also had some basic history of Crete with Venetian and Byzantine rule. We spent an hour there at a cost of 4,0 euro.

This is a must see in Heraklion. It’s a small museum in an old church that has beautiful icons, paintings, and other items used in churches throughout the history of Cretan Christianity. The items in the museum are remarkably well preserved, and the museum provides lots of helpful information about the exhibits.
