Its complicated for tourist to get there not being scammed. Probably the best option is the train from Cosme Velho. Do not get deluded by the trip sellers at the station - you will pay at least twice as much. Also be aware for weather, when cloudy not worth going there. We were unlucky that when getting to the top it was ok but after 5 mins it got so cloudy that you couldnt see anything and it stayed like that for whole day. Personally I recommend getting helicopter trip from Sugar Loaf to there. Best view ever.

Such an unique place! One of the top views of Rio de Janeiro.Unfortunately too crowded even after the pandemic. Don’t want to know how full it was before Covid-19 🙈 So no place to have a quiet minute to pause for a moment or to pray.Definitely a must-see on a perfect weather day ☀️

Its a wonder of the world so its a must in this sense. But you will observe the silence there that is tranquil and full of respect. Everyone is not at all rowdy and Id their own awe of being of here. You get incredible 360 views of the city, take the cable car back and forth and avoid the ubers for potential traffic jams. Feel redeemed! Will ne fun as you see the redeemer in different parts of the city again through the clouds or between trees!

Very nice view. Bedore you go check the weather. It is worth to go only when the sky is clear. Price for adult is 87.5 Real by train. I recommend to come before 0900 to buy ticket . Then you do not wait long time in line.

Booked as a trip, they take you up in vans. Vans was clean and fairly well organised, although commutation was great about where to go.Views from top are great, was a bit cloudy but could still see a fair bit when the clouds broke. The top was pretty clean and well maintained.

Was it a cool experience, yes? Did we have bad weather... Also yes. Very cool experience. If it is even slightly cloudy, youll probably get very poor visibility. But, youll also get to stand inside of a cloud. So... Thats that. There are monkeys all the way at the top, though. So thats cool.

Getting to the top is easy with the elevator or escalator but I used the staircase while getting down to grab a view of the other part of the mountain. The Christ the redeemer statue is a big tourist attraction that has a small cathedral behind but pictures are not allowed inside the Cathedral. Getting to take pictures takes patience with the redeemer’s background because of crowd. It’s always rowdy but you get to view the whole city from a mountain top. There are special kind of buses and drivers to take you there from where you drop your car or your tour buses drop you. Make sure you visit whenever you go to Rio de Janeiro. It’s a must. You can get your tickets online to avoid queuing.

A must see in Rio. Sugarloaf has the best views, but Christ the Redeemer is higher with its own spectacular views. The space is basic (not many amenitiesand its crowded.Take the tram up and back. Ignore the touts selling a van ride ("Two hour wait for the train! Go now in my van!" - took 10 minutes from arriving to buy the ticket and get on the tram). The tram goes through the forest and has good views).

Beautiful location. Right inside a protected reserve. Very clean and nicely maintained too. However the day I went, it was over-crowded. No place to stand and take a decent photo of anything. Considering that Covid-19 still lurks around, it was a bit scary.Besides, the souvenir shops are not selling quality stuff out there. Ive been here before and seen better days. All said, this should still be in the bucket list. Must see at least once.

This is a great place with amaxing views when the weather is good.Remember that it is quite high up and even if you dont have many clouds on the beach, there might be clouds up here. So check the weather condition.I was unlucky and ended up in the rain with hardly any view. It was magical though because there werent many tourists and the silhouette of the statue was like an apparation in the mist.

It does have a historical significance. There is absolutely no doubt about it. Your presence around the tower will definitely bring you back in time and will make you appreciate the depth of history it contains. But in terms of structure, its just another old building. I might be wrong but theres not a lot of recreation around this place. Just a park, like any other. No offence intended though.

Once again Rio did not fail to amaze me on this experience. What breathtaking views of all of Rio from the top! Also Christ the Redeemer is so big and pictures do it absolutely no justice. I am glad we went at 0900 am because it was not very crowded and we got up to the top extremely quick. Also the weather was in the 60’s so it was perfect. Enjoy the views, take as many photos as you can.

Iconic and a must do if you are visiting Rio. Gives you an amazing view of Rio from such a height and is easily accessible by the tram. We had planned to do the hike to the top but had heard about recent crimes on the walking route, so would look into this route beforehand.

One of my best experience today on date 02-feb-2019 finally 3 down from 7 wonder, 4 more to goFrom top you can see hole of the Rio the generioBest view, no need to buy tickets in advanceIf you want best, must choose cable train to reachThe statue weighs 635 metric tons (625 long, 700 short tons), and is located at the peak of the 700-metre (2,300 ftCorcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio. A symbol of Christianity across the world, the statue has also become a cultural icon of both Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, and is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone, and was constructed between 1922 and 1931.

For some a tourist trap, for others a must see while in Rio. Was told is an attraction that gets full all year round but it might have been the stars that during my visit there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Astonishing views of Rio from up the Corcovado. Be respectful, regardless of your beliefs there’s a chapel that actually offers mass (catholicso use discretion if taking pictures of it. Ride the train, it’s worth the trip and the adventure if it’s your first time there. Please DO NOT feee the monkeys. Watch them but DO NOT try touching them. Don’t be that tourist

One of the most iconic places to visit. The newly refurbished train offers a lot of comfort on the way to the statue. The view is unique and I recommend going early as it is not very full, and the view only gets better as you are on top.

Take a train up, best experience, nice and steady. It stops few times, because of gorgeous landscape for passengers to enjoy a view ( apparently stops is important, because you will not see it from final destination), but be quick to make a pictures 🤪😄😜. Landmark breath taking!!! Rio is absolutely amazing, stunning, gorgeous city. Go on every mountain in Rio which are reachable and allowed to go. From Niteron city hill you will see all Rio and most beautiful sunset. Rio wait for me!!! Will come again for sure!!!:))))

Christ the Redeemer (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor, standard Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈkɾistu ʁedẽˈtoʁ], local pronunciation: [ˈkɾiɕtŭ̥ xe̞dẽˈtoɦ]is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida fashioned the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 fthigh, excluding its 8-metre (26 ftpedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ftwide.[1][2] It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.[3][4][5] The Christ the Redeemer differs considerably from its original design. The initial plan was a large Christ with a globe in one hand and a cross in the other. Although the project organisers originally accepted the design, it later changed to the statue of today, with the arms spread out wide.

A must... breathtaking. I recommend going as part of a tour, if youre not from Rio. Theres definitely a process, a series of queues to get up there. There are several gift shops and views above the clouds. There are lots of people up there, and monkeys 😊

How best to summarize this overly sensationalized landmark? It’s a wildly overcrowded tourist trap littered with selfie sticks and souvenir kiosks every 20 feet. Whatever enjoyment there is to be had of the statue or surrounding views is completely disrupted by the swaths of people clamoring for photos at every overlook. Imagine a theme park with no rides and only lines: this is it. There are better views to be had of Rio with less hassle. By all means go and judge yourself, but I’m confident you’ll be in agreement afterward.

Great place to visit, you cannot skip it when visiting Río de Janeiro. Tickets for its transport to the Top of the morro can be bought in the Internet. We visited before noon during winter and it was very hot, I would recommend visiting it early in the morning. You can also have a drink, Walter, Coffee or suco at a bar clase to the Christ, Souvenirs can also be bought there. An interesting detail is the accessibiliy, you have a train for going up the the Top, then an elevator and ramps everywhere. We loved the place!

I am from México 🇲🇽 and this experience was the best!First, is very simple - easy to obtain tickets by internet; the website is very user friendly. Second, they were punctual for the departure scheduled.Second, the view is amazing, people is so warm and even that I do not speak Portuguese people help you totaled photos. My recommendation: arrive early, first tickets of the day if possible, or arrive walking but for sure it will be a hard walk. If you can, hire a package with photos included. I didnt know but I think it worth it!The bad stuff: plenty of people, is impossible to have a picture without people around you.

Awesome experience to be there. Can be detailed as man made God (marvel). Not to be missed, marvellous place in Rio. View of Rio and sugar loaf mountain from the mountain top is wonderful and awesome.Statue is also visible from the coastline of Niteroi, from where you can see Sugar loaf mountain too. View after sunset is also wonderful, when the statue can be seen graced with white light. Amazing!!

I went by uber, and was dropped in the middle of the way since only train can go up to the statue of Christ the Redeemer. I recommend that you buy the corcovado train ticket infront of the Praça Sao Judas Tadeu. From the station there it will go up to the first stop of estação paineres, and finally the christ redeemer. There is church at the bottom of the statue. There are restaurants and elevator. Tickets on May 2022 was 77.50 BRL per adult person for round trip.

It was great experience visiting such a soothing place.Never take any help from local 🕵 agents. They will take undue advantage of you. Buy your train ticket directly for the round trip and get on the train with no hestitation.Once you reach on top take the stairs and pray in church behind the statue. Always wait for clouds to clear and you will get the view. All the wait was worth the view.

So I couldnt rate it 5 as the facilities, especially at the bottom, were poor and quite dated - and at the top limited. Compared to other sights (I.e. Sugar Loaf Mountthe standards fell short and it felt lazy. The weather was super unpredictable and for most of our stay was shrouded in cloud (I have no idea how common this is). Im sure it is spectacular but we had no view, could barely see the statue and winds so strong it was hard to stand straight in places - hope you have a better weather! (We still had a great time - the weather was so poor it was funny!)

The experience itself is quite nice. Theres a spectacular view of the city and good pictures with the Christ. The only part that made this experience a bit more stressful was the lack of covid restrictions. There were huge lines to get everywhere. Tickets should be sold online to avoid a huge group of people lining up inside or AT LEAST only allow one person per group inside so there isnt that many people.

One of the major landmarks in Brazil, though quite overly touristic as expected. The easiest way to get to the top is to get the train. The other method of getting two transfers up is a massive hassle and in my opinion not worth the marginal saving. The views are fantastic and breathtaking. There are lots of touristic concessions but these can easily be ignored to enjoy the experience.
