An excellent memorial to a humble, accomplished veteran. Very powerful and worth paying respect.

The memorial itself is pretty small. Only 5 parking spaces. Just off the road by the V.A. I gave it 5 stars is because of what it stands for to me; our veterans need help and they may NOT be okay. As much combat as Chris Kyle saw, he was killed state-side by another veteran that was having trouble adjusting to civilian life or that had suffered some type of trauma while deployed. Being ex-military (never deployed), Ive seen how some return "changed". Our veterans need our help, not our pity, judgement or ridicule.

Awesome tribute to a Warrior.

An absolute breathtaking memorial. Beautifully lit at night, easy location and makes me proud to be an American. A must stop along 191. Don’t cheat yourself by just passing by, it’s an honor to be able to pay respects to a true American Hero.

My wife worked with Chris, so we had to come check the place out. I was amazed by the attention to detail, and the inscriptions on the boots were a trip straight to the waterworks.

A very inspirational memorial to visit. A great down to earth patriot! Rock solid man who we all should look up to!

Nice open access, will visit again in the daylight hours to really get to see it.

A little hard to find at night. It is right by the frontage road in front of the VA. There are lights near the driveway, but not on the memorial itself.

"Heart Warming message beneath his boots." A must see. Beautiful Memorial in a very nice area right off Chris Kyle freeway. There are quotes along the memorial. Rightfully fitting it sits adjacent to West Texas VA Clinic.

Nice monument, easy to visit and worth stopping by if youre passing town

Pretty hard to put this place to words. It has its own Aura when you get near it. My only recommendation is to go and see it in person.

Poignant and humbling site. Easy access to the memorial from the road. The quotes written around the statue are truly inspiring and capturing.

It was getting dark when I got there but it was a great memorial for a great American hero.

Very emotional moment but was so happy to take the parents to see this amazing heros memorial. Its the fist thing they wanted to see when they got here.

Great memorial, the only issue is that there is a memorial and that he is not still with us.

This was such an inspiring and emotional experience. It humbles you. Makes you remember those that have given their lives for our country. Even more so the men and women who have served and are still living amongst us. And how they deserve all the respect in the world.

Very awesome! Paid my respects while there, and gained a lot of knowledge as well. The statue work was done exquisitely.

Amazing site to see. They did a beautiful job on this memorial. Chris Kyle is an all American hero and deserves every bit of this memorial and more. If you look close at the feet of the statue you can see where his family carved in messages, hard not to get teary eyed. Would highly recommend stopping by to honor this hero. Also pretty cool to drive down the chis Kyle memorial highway

I’m amazed how close I live to this monument for one of America’s greatest heroes, and never knew about it until today, it’s amazing to look at how much detail was put into his appearance.

Took friends from out of town. They had no idea this was here or that it had anything to do with Midland. Why dont the cities promote this more? Nice morning drive and stop as it was one of the few things open that early. No admission, just out there on highway 191 beside the clinic. Stark but lovely memorial. Works in the wide open space. Beautiful at sunrise/sunset.

Beautiful and fitting memorial...

Its a memorial statue. An interesting note everything there means something. The trees are from the Bushs ranch, the way it points. It was a nice visit for a honourable man. Also in an open area will most likely be windy.

The Chris Kyle Memorial is located adjacent to the West Texas VA Clinic and is a fitting tribute to the great man the memorial is named after.

Beautiful Monument to a true American Hero

On my trip to Texas, I made this the top priority to stop here and pay my respects to a man that gave so much and acted as the eyes and guardian to so many men and women.The memorial itself is very well maintained and when you get to it, the gravity and intense nature of it starts to descend on you. It isnt an uneasy feeling at all but one of honor and respect. His morals and thoughts are spread around the site leaving no area that isnt in some way under his influence.At its center is the statue of this great man holding the flag high and pushing forward as he always did with one of his signature instruments of his protection. If you visit Odessa, please take the time to stop by this memorial and read his messages. It is a fantastic memorial."The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday"
