Chosabi Portage in Winnipeg

Had the tuna and salmon poke bowl - big portions and tasty. It had a bit more sauce than I would have liked, but overall it was descent.

Until recently this place was 4 stars for me. We are here every couple months. Unfortunately things have gone downhill. I dont know what happened - but we will not be coming back.Prices spiked, portions shrank, and food quality has gotten worse.Our house spent $100 (4 people), then had to get food from somewhere else because portions were too small.This is Winnipeg, you can fill up on good food for $15-20. Theres no reason to spend $25 to eat mediocre food and not be full.

Best Poke Bowls

I used to eat here all the time I loved the family that worked here. Not very happy how things were handled and they flat out lied to me on the phone saying they washed their vegetables but feel free to look at the picture below. There is still the sticker on the red pepper which has just been cut into slices and served into my bowl. Not only does that mean they didnt take the plastic sticker off but they probably didnt wash their vegetables. Sadly I cant find the remainder of the sticker which means I probably ate it....

Awesome Poke Bowl, going back again

Bad customer service. Ordered a poké bowl but was given a sushi burrito. I had informed the guy who took my order that they got my order wrong but instead of apologizing and correcting my order, he made it seem like it was my fault and that he apparently had asked me twice if I wanted a burrito which I do not recall since i have been saying I wanted a poké bowl over and over. Super disappointed won’t be returning.

Love this place. I love getting the sushi burrito in that cute box. Its a pleasure to open it up and dig in. Delish!

They got my order wrong but I called and they were willing to make it right. Super lovely staff and the food is always great. Best poke in Winnipeg.

A great place for a quick bit to eat. The employees are so incredibly nice and polite. Always have a smile on their faces. I come here often during the week. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is cute and contemporary. I would highly recommend to people.

Nice place with delicious food!

I have been to the King Chosabi location before but decided to give the Portage one a try. Was not disapointed, service was fast and good, food delicious, restaurant was very clean, and turns out they have a 10% off student discount with valid student ID.

The shrimp sushi burrito was amazing. Lots of avocado and mango went very nicely with the shrimp. Large potrions too!

Yes, its true, the vegetables are frozen and there is hardly any (processedchicken.It was a mound of rice with curry sauce with a spice level was 6/5. Not enjoyable...especially for $14!!!

Good experience - fresh!!! Had the poke bowl. Nice options to personalize your meal. Would give it 5 stars, but I found it on the pricey side. Would eat there again.

Oh I love it here so much and didnt even know Sushi burritos were a thing. So good and yummie. Staff are always friendly evertime i go in. A must have for sushi lovers.

Went a few months ago and ordered ramen and poke bowls. Unfortunately both dishes were missing ingredients listed on the menu. Food was more than edible, but I wouldnt return. Very small seating area.

The in store menu is great. The menu on skip the dishes is more limited (no option to build your own). Also there were red onions in my bowl, which were not on the list of ingredients on Skip

Sushi Burritos!

The staff is super friendly, prompt ,and welcoming. The food is always delicious ,and always fresh.

Very delicious, but a little pricey

The simple layout and large windows make for a bright and welcoming place. The big burritos are satisfying, however just be careful handling them as they can come apart quickly due to how much is stuffed into them. The Thai iced tea is perfect on a hot day. Overall a great place to have a casual meal and relax.

Amazing food, very fast

Sushi wraps are what this place is good for. Its a ginormous piece of sushi that you eat like a wrap and its a so delicious. The staff are also very nice. This is the perfect stop for lunch if you are a university student. I highly recommend. The only con is that it is pretty pricey, although it was very filling.

Always fantastic. We usually order off skip great, fresh food. Love that this location lets you create your own poke bowls.

Food is fresh and tasty, friendly staff and clean place BUT I found it a bit pricey. Example chosabi burrito 14 + café late or Vietnamese style 4.25 = 18.25 + tax + tip per person for grab food at the counter self order style restaurant

Ive never written a review before, but I feel like I have to, because the service was that good... fantastic, actually. The crew just had this positive vibe about them that are infectious.I ordered the Chosabi Burritos + Iced Green Tea Latte. Burritos tasted good, fresh and very filling. My only critique would be the seaweed wrap, it wasnt crunchy as I would like it to be.Iced Green Tea Latte was a pleasant, refreshing surprise. Ive tasted Starbucks and Second Cups, but I prefer this version, by far. Its not as creamy and pleasantly sweet. Authentic. I highly recommend this drink to complement your chow.All in all I enjoyed my experience here very much. From the awesome customer service, hearty meal, and chill background music... I left a happy customer. Maybe the next time I shall give the Poke Bowl a try.. with the Iced Green Tea Latte, of course!p.s. it is a little bit pricey

If you love sushi you will love it here in a big fat burrito format. They also have some interesting bottled drinks as well a tea and coffee in hot or iced style.

Yesterday was the first time Ive been inside a Chosabi and it was so beautiful. The build your own Poke and Sushi Burritos are perfect for a quick bite and the environment is bright and lovely.
