Chocolate Company Café in Haarlem

Their desserts used to be good, but now literally all desserts are terrible. Their cheesecake is dried out, glazing of desserts are dried as well. I do not understand why they do not pay attention to the quality of their desserts anymore.Thank God their coffee is still top notch. Best coffee in the Haarlem historical center are.

Closing hours are incorrect. I arrived Friday at 16:30 and they were closed. Please adjust times on Google. Haarlem branch.

I definitely enjoy to spend hours here to work remotely refilling my soja-melk cappuccino cup very often ☕ 😁 they also have great lunch dishes and, of course, an endless catalogue of chocolate. Their staff is also very kind and friendly 🍫😊

Nice place but the best feature is you scan a qr code and order at your table! Then they bring it to you! Perfect for introverts

Nice lunch place and chocolate company in the heart of Rotterdam. Good lunch menu with plenty of special things on it. And an amazing selection of chocolate for your very special chocolate milk.Sadly the service we all found poorly. Our drinks came straight away (lovely coffee!and our lunch orders (ordered separatelycame very much apart, which meant we ate in stages, all with our drinks well finished. One of us had to wait for more than 20 mins for (very nice gluten freelunch, without any communication from the staff.

This is a very nice place to stop and have a snack and a drink. The staff was great. They were all very friendly and helpful in our selection.

We were asking ourselfs why the food took a little bit longer, but wow it was worth the wait! Delicous sandwiches, also big portions for a fair price so nobody was left hungry. Perfect spot for a long breakfast.PS: They only had one-layer toilet paper. why man, why....

Sadly, they don’t seem to like foreigners. I spoke in Dutch but I could tell from the beginning that the woman attending didn’t like me. I only ordered a coffee and water for my boyfriend and son, and needed a quick piece of banana bread to go because I had to take a bus. She took 10 min and still couldn’t cut the banana bread and give it to me. She behaved indifferent and arrogant. The other girl inside had to come to do it, though she cut the thinnest slice for €4.95. Of course, I missed the bus.The place in Delft is delightful, wonderful owner. This one, I would say: avoid.

Great brunch place, quick service, awesome for chocolate lovers. You can order from your table using the qr code. They bring it to you. Or you can order inside. The coffee is good too. I tried the dark chocolate spoon which is a big block of chocolate of your liking on a spoon dunked in a cup of your choice of milk. Nice twist to delicious hot chocolate. We also had the avocado hummus sandwich and caprese sandwich. Both were made from fresh ingredients and really yummy! Enjoyed sitting outside and people watching on a pleasant summer day!

Good quality coffee! Not so personal service, also very much in need of new plates! These old wooden plates were worn out and was worried I’d eat wooden chips together with my sandwich.

After visiting a few times, here is my impression: popular meeting place for young people, great atmosphere, friendly personnel and of course amazing selection of chocolates. You can order salads or sandwiches as lunch and spoil yourself with a cake and chocolate. Watch out your weight, though.

Me and my partner had a lovely coffee. The plain bread I had, however, was from the day before. The manager claimed the bread was freshly baked, though the outer side of the bread was crude and not crispy what so ever. I felt disappointed to see such little conciliation and friendliness from the manager as I was (as I clearly managed to utterunquestionably dissatisfied with the product. I have had my fair share of freshly baked bread, and this was definitely not so. I am very disappointed to see such lousy customer care and will make sure to not return to the chocolate company cafe in the future. I reckon the chocolate department would be more satisfactory, but dont come here to expect a wholesome lunch.

Had the High Choc with my partner. Was super tasty and the staff were quite attentive! Also a decent spot if you want one of many many flavors of Hot chocolate stir in spoon things. If you fancy something a little different on your way into town its well worth a look in!

This has almost become our second home. Apart from the vast amount of chocolate choices you have to mix with your hot milk, there is also a very good selection of food and cakes (try the chocolate fudge, its mouth watering). The staff are amazing and really friendly, which makes the place even better.

Cappuccino is mostly constantly good and my wife loves thier big variety of hot chocolates.Tip: try dolce de leche it is not even chocolate.

This one of the best chocolate places Ive been. The chocolate fondue was great, so was the apple pie, cheesecake, hot chocolate and the tea. Lovely place, warm, just perfect to treat yourself with a variety of chocolate products. I dont usually give 5✨ Impressed!

Perfect place to warm up with a hot chocolate, with a large variety of chocolate spoons to enjoy with it. Great selection of chocolates as well if you need a present for someone with a sweet tooth.

Nice place to warm up in colder weather. The price are fine and the drinks hot. They frequently switch around their menu, so you can be sure to always find something new. If you really liked a certain taste or want to give an original gift to someone, this place has what you want. You can take just one type with you or a gift box of 3 types. Very nice.

This shop offers dine in, to go, and gifts. I had 3 different hot chocolates: Tried the 72 (72% dark), Mocha, and Toffee temptation. The whipped cream comes on the side with your choice of truffle or cookie. They were all delicious. The mocha hot chocolate was quite nice in the morning when I was craving coffee. The staff were nice and the hot chocolate exceptional. The same is true of the individual chocolates. I had a few flavors and enjoyed them. Gifts include the hot chocolate with a mug and various pre boxed chocolate or you can mix and match your own as at most chocolatiers.

One of the best hot chocolates Ive ever had. I visited during the week and it was calm. very pleasant environment that invites guests to enjoy the view while sipping a hot drink and took the opportunity to take a break. Must visit in Haarlem!

Nice coffee and good selection of hot chocolate. Some of the cakes are a bit dry, though, or just too sweet. Some variety would be nice, as well, as they keep having the same sweets since forever.

Five stars on previous visits, however the removal of self service for chocolate blocks sold by weight, and substitution with pretty packaging of little product weight has made it very expensive indeed. Chocolate is superb, but cannot justify buying at these prices.
