Opened in 1978, this zoo includes rare & endangered animals, plus a lake with waterfowl & an aviary.
Good zoo
Nice zoo, very amazing animals to see!
Very nice graffiti, entrance and super clean. I just feel some of the animal cages are way toooo small for them, they look very restricted.
Good place to see different kind of birds and animals at one place
Nice place for kids leisure even on rainy day.
The animals and their enclosures are nice, they seem well-taken care of, but the toilets there were dreadful
Such a cute park, being very clean with interesting plans from cactus to palms and wallnuts. Animals have good conditions, lots of shade in a hot summer day and a good playground for your little once. And the price is ridiculous cheep, aprox 2$. Please make a visit while you are in Chisinau.
Beautiful place and extremely chip ! Please make a big animal cages ! Animal have a too small cages ! You can raise prices please !
It looks that they did a great job renovating and updating the zoo (but they forgot about the entrance, it’s difficult to spot it when you are on the street). It was not very clear how some animals got very large cages but others, like some bigger birds 🦅 hard extremely small ones, that was sad to see. There were a really large number of pheasants, to all our surprise!Plata era 30 lei doar in numerar, din păcate nu accepta card
Pretty ok. Some animals have limited space and not enough for them but it can be educative for small children.
Its a nice place to go with your family
Weve enjoyed the zoo after renovation. The cages look nicer and the animals have plenty of food and look happy
A very nice experience !!! Very educative for kids especially !! Everything nice an clean ! A lot of species there ! I highly recommend !!!!
The best zoo tbh, the most cutest animal is capybara!
So fun place ,a lot of animals , plants , cool gardening design and places to eat something taste .You need to go there!!!
A great place to go with kids. Management has done a great job renovating the premises and enclosures. Its a different experience co pared to 5 years ago. New animals are added each season, so theres always something new to discover.
A great place to visit with kids!
I loved the animals but the poor things didnt even have food or water. The workers dont take good care of them
Beautiful zoo in Chisinau and neatly maintained. The place has lot to offer apart from the caged animals. You can see different animals like wolf, lion ,leopard, zebra, horse, lama, camel ,parrot , vultures, emu, deer, buffalo and cows, squirrels, ducks, swan ,sheep and goats, snakes, peacocks, wild cats and many other wild animals which is interestingInside there is playarea for kids ,WC ,some food stores .There is also place for horse riding which you can do at a minimum fee.Entry fee for student is just 5 lei and its worth visiting.
I would say, Zoo is quite small, has not so many animals and maintained not so well. However, better, than nothing.
Very nice zoo! Small, but there are a lot of animals. Also for children there is nice playground!
A place worth visiting. Recommend going there and exploring all the different animals, birds, etc.
Zoo looks very nice after renovation
Gave it 5 stars because I havent visited the zoo since I was a kid. Great improvements and surprising to see the zoo in great condition. Recommended.
Great zoo as being the only official one in Moldova. The playground and animals keep kids entertained. There are ice cream shops inside which can cool you down on a hot summer day. The zoo even offers a riding school or just walks with the horses for kids. The conditions in which the animals are kept in are acceptable and the administration is constantly working on improving them.
Very good place that you can find a lot of wild animals. İ dont advice the place for people who has walking disablities.
Great place for a walkout with kids
The Zoo itself is amazing, well organized and clean, good that it has parking and the entry is accessible (about 1,5 euros). The only disappointment is the cafeteria inside the zoo. We ordered a salad with local sausage (porkand found pieces of chicken breasts. This gives me the impression that unfinished salad from the other customers is collected and then served again. We showed it to the waitress and she did not react anyhow. Very poor service. The conclusion is - order stuff that is not possible to be served again.
Place for the bears is much bigger now. Loved the cats, there was 3 new born lions, so sweet. Also, spray-water stands helps a lot to cope with hot weather. You can buy there water and sneaks, good resting rooms. Pretty good experience for that price, recomend
Chisinau Zoo is such a great place to take the kids to. Was apprehensive before going because of how things were before. Now the Zoo can actually compete with foreign ones based on their overall improvements.Pros:1. Stroller wise is very convenient. There is a ramp along the stairs.2. Few places that sell ice-cream and water. There is a cafe next to the pond. Also a picnic table along the pond for snacking.3. Friendly and helpful staff4. Animal diversity is great5. Playground6. ParkingCons:1. Restrooms need to be modernized2. With Covid going on, not to have liquid soap is a big NO.3. Ticket prices need to be higher.Thank you Chisinau Zoo!
Lovely place to rest and to look at different animals, been there a week ago, was impressed by its changes for the past 2 years. Being it the only zoo in Moldova, its definitely worth it while you can walk through all of it in 2 hours!
A nice place to give to your child a bunch of emotions and contact to nature. Highly recommended to visit it more!
The zoo was great, we spent good time other there, some animals have really small cages and this just break my heart.2 beautiful yang lions are very active and ready for show all the time you look at them, looks like they will really enjoy some extra space), we fed zebras with leaves from the threes and they were so nice with us. Donkeys were ready to get a scratch from everyone who approached them. There are many other animals waiting for your attention.I recomend to visit this nice Chisinau zoo.
Very interesting place to get kids. Clearly changes in several years after last visit.
Very good place to hangout
Amazingly well organized. Not very large, but most of the animals are now placed in new enclosures. A lot of trees, so it is comfortable even on hot summer days. Still some animals need better humane conditions. (Wolf, lions). The bears enclosure is very nice.
Another option of attraction for kids. There is a playground in the middle of the zoo where kids can play. They could have made the facilities nicer, the toilets were not very clean and some cages are a bit run downed.
Well built park with lots of animals. However you can clearly say that some big boys like bears are not enjoying their lives inside. Anyway it has good views and you can see some rare species inside. Its worth going and having a good time anyway.
Very nice place , where are you feeling great ,have fun and peace
Relaxing place to walk with the kids. (not many mammals to see thoughThe wolves were pretty. A variety of birds seem to be pretty happy. The zoo was clean and organized. It was a lovely experience.
If youre in chişinău and you have kids, it will be a great place for them, a lot of animals in theyre habitats, go there is so great
Small, but very friendly and nice place. Animals look great, except bears, they have very small enclosures (staff says that its because of the safety reasons, but nevertheless the cages are too small for such big animals). Great place to spend a day with friends/family.)
It is a small Zoo with few animals, but is a fun place for childrens, and quite place for adults. I always have fun time coming here!Doesnt work till late.
Obviously some people there try to make their best, but is not enough. Too many animals are kept in small cages, 2/2 m, the bears, the wolves, the foxex and other large carnivors move around the cages, stressed and cramped in coops with poor light and suffering from heat. At the entrance two young people invite people to take a photo using a parrot and a dressed capucin monkey, who do not want to participate at that ruthless charade. Please do something about it, It is not possible to treat animals like that!
Has many animals from.across the globe..a musi visit in chisinau
Nice animals, dirty and smelly.
They sell tickets till 8 PM but this is also the closing time. So you may pay but never get in. Or if you get in, youll be escorted out by the guard in 10 minutes. Also, some guards speak in russian (although this is a Romanian speaking country). Finally, most of the animals dont have any explanation badges so you dont know what you are looking at..
Lion, monkeys, zebra, parrot, kangaroo, birds, lamas....in one beautiful place😀
Its amazing to visit in September, not so hot, but not so cold too, you can see almost all animals. Kids are very exited to see how tigers run :Great place. Also good idea with free playground. Thumbs up for this.
They have some exotic animals, but the big ones (bears, lux, leopard, eagles, wolfesare just kept in a small cage. The bears look so sad and cant even walk around, no space! Please help them, bring them to a bigger place or give them to another zoo!Entrance is 30Lei (=1€ or 1$).
