Fast-food chain offering Mexican fare, including design-your-own burritos, tacos & bowls.
Great convient downtown location for a quick meal. Very well managed location.
Have encountered a few snooty team members, they get pretty stingy about portions when making either burrito or bowl. Few of the team members have been polite and shown phenomenal diplomacy! We spending $12.60 dollars for a burrito, no reason to be greedy and show stingy mess when adding the meat.Highly recommend spending you’re money at Killer burger just down the street!Killer burger!510 SW 3rd Ave, Portland, OR 97204
Staff wanted me gone asap even though the place wasnt crowded.
Every time I go here there is an issue, this is not an exaggeration. I have a PO box 2 doors down so I go to Chipotle once a month. Once it was that they didnt have anything that needed to be cooked. So basically no meat just the tofu / sofritas. Another time it was cash only, the next time it was debit cards and credit cards only. Then, the soda machines werent working, etc. etc.Today, a man in front of me ordered 5 burritos; as he went along he was told, "were out of lettuce, pico de gallo, chips, sour cream." By the end he decided he didnt want the burritos because they were out of so many items. The staff should have told him before he ordered or made a sign. When my turn came I asked what they were out of, I decided to order anyway. At the end I asked for sour cream and was told they were, "out of that too, oops." I went to pay and handed the cashier a 20 and she said she didnt have change for any cash. I didnt have a debit card, luckily the manager came up with some. This is another thing they shouldve said they were out of before letting people get to the end of their order.Im not sure if corporate sees this location as the lowest priority or what. Id honestly be surprised if I went there one day and they had everything and could accept cash and debit cards. It would be the first time out of at least 30 times that this would happen.
One star for not being open during the day when they say they are, and nobody answering the phone to verify if they are open.
I like this place. Good service and food.
With a meeting nearby, I thought it prudent to check out my lunch options. I don’t always look for places like chipotle but it sounded good to me so I went to all the trouble to park nearby in a parking garage and walk in. Apparently I didn’t know that chipotle is one of those organizations still propagating the fear of the pandemic and refusing to open their seating for their patrons. This was pretty easy for me; no seating, no business. There was a time and a place for these extreme measures, but we are well past that point and chipotle is probably reeling in higher margins because they aren’t paying people to clean tables or mop floors, taking selfish advantage of the situation. I know I am one small voice, but I will scratch chipotle off of my options list going forward. I’m done with the politics of this ridiculous mountain made from a mole hill. I walked around the corner and found an apparently popular delicatessen shop with excellent food, very happy to give them my money. I shall write them a review now as well.
I work at the other end of the building that Chipotle is located at in Downtown Portland on Yamhill. Usually always very good, but kind of annoying that every other day, they close down online ordering (which for me as i work 10 hour days on the weekend with a limited window open to pick up my lunch and eat before things get crazy busyis usually what turns me to go elsewhere and spend my money. Fair warning: Today, online ordering is closed, just in case you felt like doing so.
Long wait, served meat cold, randomly closed dining area early so I had to take it to go. I recommend going somewhere else.
I’ve been to hundreds of chipotles all over the country and this is one of the best tasting ones I’ve came across. I think it’s one of the original handful of locations that chipotle opened. Absolutely phenomenal.
I do like the salad bowl, with a protein of your choice. The dressing is also very good.
One person in front of us, no one behind us, No one on the line with everyone else talking about the schedule on the wall. By the time we were helped, the staff was crying for help because a line of 20 formed. There was also a spill on the floor that was still there once i left after dining i, which i mentioned.
Corporate needs to pay their retail employees more. This location has delayed their opening till 3pm everyday for the past 2-3 weeks due to staffing shortages. Very disappointed in your leadership.
I rated this place 3 stars a year ago, but Im raising it to 4 stars. Last year the staff was disinterested and one person was always rude. I went for lunch often. I stopped. Now I tried going again and had a more pleasant experience. I love the chips and guacamole too.
Seriously the nicest staff I have encountered not only at a chipotle but in a restaurant and I’m at a chipotle a couple times a week and go to many locations ! They were smiling the whole time and were very personable! Can’t wait to come back to location because of the sweet staff❤️ #piscesgang
Was in there Dec 16, and this was my first visit to Chipotle. I ordered the bowl with cilantro-lime rice, pinto beans, chicken, hot sauce, sour cream, and my wife ordered the tacos with chicken, salsa, hot sauce. The food was very tasty, and the chilli sauce had a nice bite to it! Left me wanting more! Ill be back!
Nesa was excellent ive been going to Chipotle for 10+ years not only was she super hospitable but she took her time on the ingredients and making sure what I wanted and she gave me one of the best bowls ive ever had. Never take the time to do a review but this one deserves it. Would highly recommend.
Thank you thank you thank you, to the closing team at this location on 5/5/20. I have been considered an "essential employee" and am working by myself during this pandemic. It was lunch for me when I ordered from here, and since I am generally not allowed to leave my work, I had it ordered for delivery. Unfortunately doordash was unable to secure a driver until well past closing time for them. I called and spoke with someone and asked if I could come pick it up myself if I could get someone to watch my post. They were so kind and understanding that I might be late picking it up, and even remade my order because it had been sitting a while waiting for the doordasher. I get back to work and have a cute smiley on my lid. I appreciate all of their hard work and generosity in these times. Thank you!
Among the chains this is one place I will go. The food is fresh and you "build" your meal to your specification as you walk down the line. Prices are reasonable and with a group it is easy for each person to get what they want. The line at lunch was fairly long, but moved very quickly. It helps if you grab a menu and decide what you want BEFORE you get to the counter. I wish everyone would do that. There are outside tables when the weather is nice.
Theres a gentleman who is not interested in performing in the customer service category, he is not patient enough with the customers in order to let them decide and look at the portions of the food they are being served, he does things rather quickly without offering much of a smile. This individual works the line as soon as you come in you see him standing there ( a tall caucasian, medium built, no facial hair he needs to work at being a fair employee and carrying his work all the way through.
I rarely write negative reviews, but today Chipotle earned a one-star review today. I work close by and have avoided Chipotle for some time and recently began giving them another try. I went in today (10/4/2019and they kept switching the guy behind me on ahead of me and back and forth. They completely botched my order and I asked the staff to correct it. Instead, they lied to my face saying that there was no mistake. I asked again and they again lied and refused to correct it. I paid and walked out. The order was botched. Not fixing it and lying about it is terrible.
I was a regular customer at this place for some time; and have decided to take my business elsewhere due to excessive up1charging that doesn’t take place at every other Chipotle I have been to! If you go in there now; the owner has decided to charge customers for additional sides if they want extra, or more than one type of item added to your burrito, or bowl.Want both black, and pinto beans; or a blend of salsas? They will charge you for a side item for each of those! When I brought my grievance to the manager; he basically said they were loosing money too much money; but I find it hard to believe that one extra scoop of beans, or salsa will cause them to suffer a loss!
Fresh and delicious mouth watering food. staff are friendly and the cleanliness of the restaurant is highly maintained. the display of food allows someone to pick their choice without having a list of food you dont know what they are-to me thats a huge advantage over many others.Host Sophie was amazing as well other staff. they treated me well and served the best dinner meal. Thank you Chipotle, and all the staff
If you want a lot of rice and small amounts of protein 1oz of meat..employees are extremely rude. well this place is just for you if you just got excited for this. Also they don’t believe in hair nets here.. have fun..
I felt as though I was being served in at a soup kitchen. Staff was unfriendly and slopped the food in the bowl. The food made me sick later that evening as well. Last time I will be eating at this location.
This outlet has fast service. And the staff are super friendly.
If you like your burrito coldish in the middle and all the same color, give it 5 stars. I do not liked it. Employees were knowledgeable and friendly. Not my kind of food I guess.
Great spot to grab lunch! Location is usually busy during the lunch rush but the staff is quick and always friendly. If your crunched on time you can also order online and just skip the line. Also try and grab a seat by the windows, great view of the busy city.
Generally my experience at Chipotle has been decent and consistent. However, at this location in downtown Portland, I found a lot of the items/toppings were nearly finished and there were no attempts to fill them! Not just that, the vegetable fajita that I had with my bowl were quite charred. Would recommend the store manager to pay a bit more attention to the food quality.
Beef Cartina Bowl is good! With pica de gal lo!
Soy free chips- they have gluite free items Mexican food. Great prices if you are on a budget! Great staff. Mexican music. Free soda refills on soda pop if you can drink it. Quality food. Taste good also! No need to rush and relax.
Terrible. The people that have helped me the last 2x have been extremely skimpy with everything. They were completely out of corn with none in the store. They charged extra for gauc on a vrggie burrito(every other store does notand they were rude. I wont be going to this location again.
It was my boyfriend and I’s first time to eat at Chipotle and this amazing employee gave us spectacular service by explaining how things work there and even gave us one meal free of charge! Thanks so much Chipotle!! You guys are awesome!
Food is really good and fresh. I really enjoy Chipotle because you can grab a quick bite. The food is always consistent and the portions generous. This location as most Chipotles is surprisingly clean.
The way they slop the bowl together is seriously unappetizing. Its like a middle school lunch counter. I get the whole Mexican Subway premise, where you customize your selection, but maybe pay your employees enough to not seem like they want to kill themselves.
Some cross contamination of foods, specifically I cant stand red onion and chose options that didnt have any in it, but I still found them in my burrito. Otherwise, the flavor and service was good. Very busy lunch spot.
Buncha kiddos working here. Friendly enough, but as a result seems like not enough quality-control. Communication between employees seems to be for their benefit, rather than serving customers. No excuse for stale chips.Im just one semi-regular customer, but if you lose enough of those its gonna cost you. Get a vet in there!Edit: had a few more, and these are the stalest chips Ive ever had. Paid for these!
Really hate to do this, because I like the food when its prepared correctly, but Ive gone there for the last time. I work downtown and love the order online feature, because it allows me to skip the line and get on with my day. Unfortunately, about 85% of the time the burritos are weak. Sure theres plenty of beans and rice, but maybe 1 or 2 bites with the actual meat that I ordered. Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering a carnitas burrito when theres barely any carnitas. Seriously, this happens more often than not. I guess you have to be standing there watching them in order for them to make a fair burrito. Ive said it before, but this time I mean it. Im NEVER going there again!
Sloppy football shaped pucks that theyre passing off as burritos. Filling spilling out so its impossible to eat without having to wash up after. Hope you didnt put the receipt with the bathroom lock code in your pocket. Eating counters are always dirty. Want a margarita at lunch? Youll need to wait an extra 5 minutes, and thats after they call a special person to OK your transaction, and multiple people tell you that you cant leave with it. At least the food tasted OK.
A very solid Chipotle; not dissimilar to the other locations weve all been to. This Chipotle does boast long lines during lunch & dinner windows, but like most others, the wait is far from excessive. The food quality is acceptable. Id say this Chipotle attracts more of a to-go crowd.
I really like Chipotle for their options. This one only gets this three star rating because it seems understaffed at lunch times. Youll stand in like for probably 15 minutes waiting to order, so go early or late, but avoid between 11am and 1pm.
My go to chipotle location in downtown. Good preparation and a friendly staff who arent afraid to make you a mega sized burrito. Right next to the Yamhill Max station for easy access too.
A solid Chipotle with the usual menu. This one gets a downgrade since it gets far too busy at lunch. The staff is always good though and the place is always clean. Just go during off hours on business days.
For a company whose stock is in a tailspin you think they would be able to open on time! If you eat out for lunch at work dont bother here. Qdoba is two blocks away, faster, open earlier than 11, and better service. Its not Chipotle but I favor consistency and hey free guac!
Its a chain "Mexican" fast casual place thats within walking distance of food carts. Theres no question or doubt in what youre going to get, but there are plenty of other more flavorful options that are a hop, skip, and jump away. If youre in a rush and dont want to think about what youre ordering, stop by.
Chipotle is very basic food, but the service here is awesome. They should really work on getting their online orders done on time because I have yet to receive one that was prepared by the time. Also, I ordered carnitas, and they were cold.
Disappointing food at an outrageous price. I dont care how ecological this company is their food is disgusting. This was my first and last time going here. Ive had better at nearly every other Mexican place downtown.edit:This place gave me food poisoning. This is by far the worse place to eat ever. I only wish I was able to give you zero stars.
Not to much to say here. Its Chipotle, its fast casual food. Their new tofu sofritas are awesome. The line moves pretty quickly at lunch, so its not that long of wait, even with a line.
I am quite possibly Chipotles number 1 fan. It may because I grew up in Southern California, so the burrito is comfort food, but I think it also has to do with their consistent excellent customer service. They never sweat the small stuff and almost always have a great attitude. Oh and the food is super-tasty too.
Even though this is a chain, they act more like a small operation trying to server everybody the freshest, local food they can. Everything is always fresh and tastes good. They line works well and the menu system they have is easy to read. The place always looks spotless.
