Chinkali namai - Georgian restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania
This was first Georgian food experience for me - I ate salmon soup and Khachapuri with cheese - it was veeery tasty! My son also liked it very much. The place is simple and nice, the staff is friendly. We keep coming back and ordering again. Thank you!
After us sitting at the table for good 20 mins, owner rudely declared (in russianthat our party’s kids are not welcome as this is ‘not a kindergarden’. Didn’t even get to taste the food and will never do.
Charcho is quite good, yet chachapuri is miles away from real thing, cheese is different and pastry is poor quality
Delicious Georgian food and very friendly and hospitable host
Great food, authentic atmosphere! Gets a bit crowded.
The Best Georgian food!
Big portions, good prices.
Incredibly delicious chinkali 😌
Small place with good food.
Our first Georgian food experience and wow! Amazing food and really friendly people, easier to pay with cash and you will not be disappointed (the dolma..👌this is another of the magic places In Vilnius.
Wow. The food here is out of this world! Our favourite was the dolma - not to be missed, it’s amazing!
Good chinkali, very big, 5 pcs is more than enough.
Delicious meal for good price! Yammi!
Very tasty and low prices
Food is simple, but good. Prices are very affordable. Not a fancy place.
Good Georgian food. Authentic and really simple interior. The charcio was really good and the xinkali as well really tasty and huge. It’s one of these nice suburbs restaurant, nothing too fancy where you could have a good time
Wonderful food, with good prices. Menu is short and simple, but has best pick of Georgian (Sakarvellofood. Music is Georgian as well and every few days you can see the owner working at the bar. Dont be fooled by simple inside decor. You are there to experience food. As a person who has visited Georgia quite a few times I would recommend visiting this place at least once. Only real drawback is that not all products are imported and some local spices or herbs are used, this does not have a big impact on taste, but if you have tried Georgian food with herbs that have been grown in the mountains you may notice a difference. 5/5 Will come back there again.
Awesome food prepared by Georgian lady at the kitchen. Portions are huge. Chinkali and chachapuri is my favorite. Make sure you have cash before going there. Strongly recommend this place for real - authentic Georgian cuisine.
authentic meal however my expectations were a little bit higher.A bit pricey as a lunch place
Great food and not expensive, also can feel authentic Georgian vibe.
very good prices, very tasty food, big portions.Does not accept card
Dont go here if youre a group of people and have a reservation because you will be booked over. Manager cant handle his emotions and blames us customers for coming on the time that we booked first. Really bad service and very non sanitary.
Soup was cold do not recommend getting it unless you ask if it was made recently... A bit expensive overall if you want to eat fullfillingly and its a minus for some people because one cannot pay by card.
This authentic georgian bistro is the only place i know which accepts CASH ONLY. It is located in middle of nowhere between soviet era blockhouses. this small bistro is run by georgian family and serves trully authentic Chinkali and some meat dishes. Worth turning out of the main road to stop here. Difficult to find as you cannot spot it from the street.
Food was just not for me. Speaks russian, no lithuanian language menu. Just bad place to stay. Cold. Environment is bad. It looks like soviet union dinner
Khinkali is very good and authentic - 1 EUR per piece is good price. Would agree that service is not super quick, but very friendly and food worth to wait.
The place has a strange vibe to it and most likely you will have to place your order in Russian, because the owner does not speak Lithuanian. Sometimes it takes a while until they make a dish. But the food is very tasty, perfect quality and definitely worth the wait. Place is usually crowded. Takeout available. Have it in mind, that they have "face control" for non-sober citizens, so no drunk people sipping beer all night :)
Reasonable prices, good food, although it looks like a place from russian criminal drama of 1990s and personnel cant speak Lithuanian. But food is really worth a try.
Highly recommend this place. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Because of a tiny place inside, I recommend you to book the table in advance.
Well, before going there, prepare that fast service doesnt exist, location is strange. Food is good. If you want different experience, just different (not good or bad), visit this place(but it is not a "must go" place).
Not too many places in Vilnius to get Georgian food and this is one of them. Premises itself are a bit tired and hard to get to, but owners do their best and kitchen is good for a low price so place is usually crowded. Worth to mention owners are georgians so they knows best about what they are doing ;)
Excitement mixed with embarassment - very unique experience. If it was a part of a chain I would never return, but its not the case. Definitely one of the most charismatic places in town, much recommended.
Huge tasty hinkali is the only advantage I found here. The lamb soup was disappointing - basically a broth with two small pieces of meat. Lamb shashlik was on the menu but they dont serve it. Ordered pork one instead, which was okay. Also, the place does not accept credit cards, only cash.Entrance to the toilet is limited to the clients, which is not a nice move.
The place is not easy to find, is is quite far from center, but surely worth the search. There main stars (as the place name suggestsare Chinkali, giant Georgian dumplings which are so good, I always want to come back for them. Chačapuri are also very good. They also offer traditional Georgian soups, salads and grilled meats. Service is also authentic. The outside seating is available during the warm period. A must try!
Small place, food tastes soap-like because of extreme amounts of green spices and herbs, the charchio soup was unedible, as meat in the soup was served in huge bits, that do one would not be able to put into mouth, the herbs in the soup were the worst part though, as I mentioned before, they made the meal taste like there was straight up dish soap in it. Prices are too high, for such a poor quality.
Great place to taste real chachapuri, chinkali and other national dishes. Service isnt the best, but food quality overshadows all other similar places. Try it!
Delicious Georgian food. The look and location of the place doesnt promise you anything good, but its worth to visit if youre looking for place of great meal. I would recommend to try chashushuli as it was very good. Phali was also great for starter.
You wont be impressed with lowend bar-like interior. It is not always easy to communicate with the waiter. Food is not bad, though it is not for everyone. Prices are ok.
Great georgian cuisine with an authentic atmosphere.
Great homemade food. Super tasty and nourishing. Chinkali and chachapuri (both with lambwere delicious. Soup was a bit greasy but still tasty. Couple of problems: place is pretty far from the centre of the city and in despair need of upgrade. It feels a bit delipidated. Besides this, food and prices are great and highly recommended.
I was not aware that there is Georgian cuisine in Lazdynai. Place is not fancy, but personnel is friendly and food is nice. Most likely I will come back anytime soon.
This is an amazing place! Whether you are an adventurous tourist or a curious local, this place is a must on your list. Expect to time travel some 20+ years and about 2500km to Georgia. Food is amazing and real Georgian as you would be in Georgia, prices are like Euro never arrived to Lithuania and atmosphere is out if this space (soviet, oldschool). 100% recommended!
If you are here for the food and drinks, it’s the best place you can be in. If you are looking for the nice interior, turn around an walk the other way. A+++++
It was my first time by trying traditional food of Georgia. I had nice experience. But guys, its really traditional.
The food is amazing there! Interior and exterior don’t look like magazines covers, but this place is all about georgian food! And the food is why you’d like to come there again and again. Highly recommended!
Surrounded by old "communistic" living houses and office buildings "Chinkali namai" is a journey in the past with tasty georgian meal in a small an cozy atmosphere. The staff is original as well and it´s easier to communicate in russian and english than lithuanian. And in case of need the can show you how to eat "chinkali".
Great Georgian food and chinkali outside Georgia! Run by native Georgians within the best traditions! Simple interior good food!
Authentic chinkali and chachapuri. Cheap and very tasty. Interior is simple. Not a fancy place. Waiters dont speak lithuanian.
Probably the best Georgian khinkali in town. Located in a soviet built sleeping district, the atmosphere is not very nice or cozy. Cash only.
Wonderful hidden gem in Vilna. Treat yourself to a staggeringly good Georgian meal made by lovely gregarious people in a strange classic Soviet housing complex. Believe me: better than a tourist trap in downtown--this place is a gem.
