Chinh's Vietnamese Restaurant - Vietnamese restaurant in Maitland, Australia
One of the BEST Vietnamese places I’ve been to! Favourite in the area. Lovely people and delicious food. They are very accommodating to allergies/substitutes where they can as well.
Full separate vegan menu and great food and staff
Busy, but low-key Vietnamese Restaurant in Maitland. This is a generous place with delicious food. The beef broth that is the heart of the pho is just balanced, aromatic and rich. The entree sized BBQ beef skewers and accompanying salad is a treat, good quantity too.Im glad I ate at Chinhs.
Very nice food, friendly service with a casual vibe. Just what we were looking for.
Pho is very fatty and small serving for price. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.
Great little Vietnamese restaurant. I had San choy bow and the garlic chicken, both meals came out really quick and were absolutely flavorful. Pricing was a little steep for the size of the meal but Ill definitely be back.
Chinh’s Vietnamese Restaurant is exceptionalcuisine, my family eats here regularly, always looked after by Chinh and staff. 😊
Ordered a combination omelette that arrived overcooked, burnt and swimming in soy sauce. Will never return.
Fantastic little place. Great menu with both old favourites and new surprises. Friendly service, good prices and veg friendly. We’ll be back for sure
Had takeaway, combination seafood laksa, sate combination seafood and sticky mango rice. Seafood was horrible, squid was like rubber prawns had a horrible texture, fish was ok. Laksa was bland, sate was disgusting.Mango tasted amazing but rice was like solid rubber, could not eat it.
Great food, nothing fancy, just a good meal, I will go back again.
Nice service and good quality foodBut too dark inside
Delicious food, very satisfying but also leaves me without guilt for having eaten poorly. Seems so light and yet is so hearty.
Friendly staff and yummy food. Iced Vietnamese coffee hit the spot on a hot day!
Disappointing and poor value-for-money. Maybe I should have kept my expectations in check before going to a Vietnamese place in Maitland but I havent felt this ripped off for a long time. Paid $45 for a starter, a curry and a Vietnamese ice-coffee ($6!!!). There is a vegan menu, but if you are strict vegan be careful, I could taste seafood in my heavily deep fried starters. The curry was mediocre, not much better than supermarket shelf standard. I feel let down by many of the reviews on here and cant help but think they are either a. not genuine, or b. written when this place was under different management. Presentation of the food was lazy and service lacked a little bit of professionalism.Anyway, the best thing I can say about the joint is that I didnt get food poisoning. Wont be back, but hopefully this place lifts its game and those who gave five stars start getting out more to some actual good restaurants.
Ordered garlic chicken and unfortunately i could not taste any garlic or any flavour. Was highly disappointed in the meal. The restaurant also took over an hour to bring out our parties meals. For the price paid I expected better. Will not be going back
Great food, friendly staff and good value.
Paid $37 for 6 small pieces of spring rolls and noodles (serving is good for 1 person only), taste like it didn’t have flavour at all, had to ask for fish sauce (the Vietnamese mix fish saucebut they gave me the plain fish sauce. And the service is too slow as well. We were very hungry so we still ended up eating our food despite the unsatisfying taste. Such a waste of money.
Great food some of the best Vietnamese Ive had for years. Vietnamese pancakes to die for. Super good duck
Had Prawn toast and Sate beef nice food good service busy night
I ordered phad Thai, spring rolls and plain rice.Phad Thai had no flavour, prawns werent peeled properly $20 for that!Spring rolls were awful. Overly priced. Underrated..Willing to give a new business a go. Very expensive. Disappointed.
Delicious, fresh and authentic Vietnamese food. This place has been a family favourite for a very long time.My go to dish is the Vietnamese pancake, however all the food on the menu is truly delectable. There is also a huge vegetarian and vegan menu which is an added bonus. A hidden gem in Maitland with plenty of parking close by.
Its too slow, it takes more than an hr after order for a noodle and its not so yum, it is not VIetnamese food, they used the supermarket soup sauce for noodle, which.everyone can do it at home. Very disappointed, will never coming back again.
Phenomenal Vietnamese food, reasonably priced.I can recommend the satay beef ($22.50), prawn and mushrooms ($24.50), Vietnamese pancake ($21.50).Have a chat to Chinh if you get a chance, shes always welcoming. This is Chins third location in Maitland, I think this ones a winner.Heaps of free parking across the road.
Decor from 1985. Food is most often really good. Huge selection of menu choices.
So tonight was lets go out night! Where do you go for that? Anywhere tasty right?! We decided on a little family owned and run Vietnamese restaurant in Maitland called Chinhs! Mekong Delta style, decent priced, tasty and good sized meals! One of my all time favourites is always a good Vietnamese pancake! Also for a change in food scenery we decided to take a stab at the sticky prawn and black fungus rice balls. They were definitely sticky but also tasty! And cant go past the garlic rice! We also had some delicious lemongrass beef with plenty of fresh chilli! Love a good spice hit!
Bloody delicious food! Huge portions, super tasty, fresh and a whole veggie/vegan menu on top of regular 😍 will be back.
Lovely food. Great service. Defiantly go again
Fresh food, nice waitress, and a Vegan menu. The owner Chinh used to be a chef for the King in Thailand and now her for makes us all feel like Kings. We tried the yam toast, hoisin veggies and sticky black rice balls and have returned many times since.
I was looking for a good vegetarian restaurant to treat my sister for her birthday and Chinhs didnt disappoint. There is a full menu just for vegetarian and vegan is also an option here. Absolutely fantastic! Service was polite and timely and the chef was very warm. The water spinach is even grown in her garden.
I are from the vegan menu and the options are amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
Best Vegan in Maitland. Chin makes all her own meals, and even has a seperate menu for Vegan only. Dont worry meat eaters, there is plenty of food for you too! Dont judge a book by its cover - taste doesnt lie! 10/10
Like people have been saying no bells and whistles but it was comfortable, the aircon was lovely and the Food was outstanding. Cant wait to go back.
They have both a Vegan and a regular menu and cater to a range of dietary requirements such as gluten free and diabetic. The food is very fresh, the flavors are amazing and its nice to see so many vegan options. The prices are very reasonable, great serving sizes and they do $12 lunch deals! 👌
In my experience, weve ordered take away meals and they werent fresh at all! We didnt eat the main meals! It was a waste of money. No fresh praws, no fresh vegetables! I dont recommend this place.
We love this restaurant. The dishes are always soooo very fresh!Authentic street cuisine, the vietnamese pancake is such a savoury flavourfest with the crispest crepe ever, and lemongrass and chilli chicken....mmmm... I could rave on and on!! We took our guest from Sydney tonight and he sent photos back to his own resort in north Africa; Australeone. We will be back...again. b.y.o. and first class service..even the chef/ owner visits your table to ensure your meal is just right. Many thanks
Unassuming, Great little restaurant for a good meal whilst visiting Maitland. We ordered 2 entrees, and 3 mains with rice. The entree arrived in 15 min and the mains 10 minutes later..The meals where fresh and tasty of average size and the staff were helpful.Seemed a popular restaurant with the locals as it filled up quick around 6pm on a Saturday.
Food was very ordinary, took ages to arrive at table and meals did not arrive at the same time. Wont be back.
Best authentic Vietnamese I have had. My favourite is the vietnamese pancakes, however all the food is amazing.I drive up from sydney just to eat here.Beautiful people, beautiful food.
Great taste ;)
Food was great. However, they did forget to place our order, so we had a fair wait.Otherwise, great good, good prices.
Great vegan food. Most dishes can be altered to cater for Vegans. I really love the mock duck with salt and pepper ground into lime juice.
Friendly helpful service, no trouble to assist my friend with gluten free. The Banh xeo was the best Ive had in Australia, Prices are not the cheapest but the food is worth it. Ill be back often.
Great service, food was awful the worst in Maitland dont bother waste of time and it was pricey wont be back.
Great food.Weve been coming here for years.
Excellent and kind service. Food was great! We had the Beef Pho and Fried Spring Rolls! Definitely coming back. Highly recommend! ☺️☺️☺️
Service was excellent, food even better. Quite a few options for vegetarians and no msg.
Chihn makes amazing Vietnamese food. Try the Vietnamese cofffee. Pho and Vietnamese pancake are amazing.
Great Pho here. Lunch time specials also with the river view. Lunch time is very busy and probably wont get a seat.
Friendly service, great food. You should try the Vietnamese pancake.
