Wauw! Small museum with a lot of museum shops inside. The status itself is magnificent and you can enjoy the view from the horses head.

Wow... Only wow... an amazing place on the world...see Chinggis Khan and learn more about this beautiful country.The Chinggis Khan monument is huge, you can see it from far, made of stainless steel the monument is shining in the sun. The area round the Chinggis Khan is very nice, many tourist living quarters are placed. The restaurant was closed, when we have been there in june 2019. There are some offers for tourits, riding camels and so on. Also a small souvenier shop which offers cheap things.Its even worth to visit that place, if you are in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of mongolia.Next visit right now 2022, my friend Djingghis is still here and as ever 😜. Around the area are some new tourist resort. The street from Ulaanbaatar is already finished, so you can reach this area very quick.We have had lunch in the new Bayangol resort, nothing to complain, all best, good food for normal prices. The Restaurant is very nice and staff really friendly... be back another year..😜😜😜

Its a great place for foreigner tourists to experience the culture and traditions, and learn history of Mongolia and Mongol Empire. Its clean, spacious and has models of giant whip and giant shoe.In the basement, there are many gift shops to buy souvenirs and other Mongolian cultural items. In another stall, we can try Mongolian traditional clothes and pose for photos.There are 1-2 restaurants, and coffee shops. But it takes good time to get our orders. I like the museum. Its huge and spectacular.We can take an escalator and get on the nape of the horse. Though the views from there are better, going up through dark narrow staircases was like squeezing myself through the crevices of cliffs.If there are many people lined up there, I dont recommend yourself joining. Youll thank me on this. Instead go below complexs parking area for distant views of the shiny stainless equestrian statue.You can try archery and be like a Mongol warrior horde or take few photos holding vultures with the statue in the background.

There is suddenly a very huge statue of Genghis Khan in the empty prairie.The inside is a museum, with giant boots and swords on display.Must visit & see.

We enjoyed the visit, apart from the massive statue, the place had some interesting artifacts and also they had a place to try on traditional Mongolian clothes.

Have you ever been to a Guinness World Record holder? Well, come here and you will. This statue is huge and you can even walk inside of it to the top. The price is reasonable and there are many opportunities to take photos. Its best to come either during the week or on national holidays for three lack of crowds. Youll get exercise going to the top even with the elevator access. The spaces are small and can be a little claustrophobic. The view at the top is spectacular but it gets crowded. This is a must see stop when you visit Mongolia. Outside you can ride a horse or camel and the kids can ride battery operated cars. Give this one a try!!!

Its a great statue of Ghinkiskahn.Very artistic and huge statue.I think Mongolian people may be very proud of this. Recommend to tour this place when you visit Mongolia.

Outstanding , simply amazing a must do trip. The views are simply incredible from the horses head. Camel and horse riding , archery golden eagles and a tourist shop.

Guide can speak English. Restaurant was closed, gift shop offers small variety of items.For Mongolians it is important to visit. If ever to visit Ulaanbaatar, you should go to this place.

This is amazing! Must do, not far from UB. Also inside there is a great little museum, souvenir shop, along with coffee shop and toilets.

The destination is relatively close to Ulaanbaatar and is easy to get to after around an hours drive (depending on the exact starting location in UB of course).The Statue itself is huge, and you may climb the platform for a spectacular perspective. If you visit Mongolia, I would say it is a must-see.

Beautiful statue, clean interior and lots of information. The staff is friendly, but the entry cost has an EXPAT/tourist cost and a Mongolian cost, the coffee shop doesnt do hot chocolate, and all gift shops were closed both times I visited the site.

Statue is a great place to visit, very near UB. The souvenir shop was closed this time, but usually there are nice things to buy there. Also there is coffee and restaurant, but it was too cold inside and they were out of tea, milk and other drinks.

Incredible place, hard to comprehend really. Largest equestrian statue in the world at 40m. It is an easy day tour from UB! Locals in traditional outfits were having a horse race on the day I visited, you really dont want to miss that!

What a spot! Its technically still under construction though, so only the central complex is there. Apparently, once its complete, its going to have gers around the entire thing in segments of the circular landscaping. It wasnt very busy when we were there and it did take a while to get to because of traffic. Its definitely a must see if youre visiting Ulaanbaatar. Its massive. The museum underneath wasnt anything spectacular and the restaurants and gift shop were closed due to COVID, but Im glad I got to see the statue and go up to the head. The view from the top, like much of Mongolia outside the center of the city of Ulaanbaatar, was spectacular. It gives credence to the legends of Mongolia being the "Land of the Blue Sky".

Very awesome trip outside of UB!! Unfortunately I went during a surprise snow/ice storm, but was still glad I went. The gift shops were still closed due to COVID. Interesting experience at the top of the statue. The entire thing is not grounded very well and you *WILL* get shocked from the static electricity in the air. My phone even shocked me when I held it up for a photo.The worlds largest Mongolian boot was inside as well.

Surprisingly cool place. Interesting countryside on the drive out and an impressive statue when you get there. Great place to learn about Chinggis, see the evolution of gers, and buy some souvineers. There are a lot of places for tourists to stay out here too. And of course the opportunists in the parking lot offering horse and camel rides, hold an eagle, the full experience in one place!

A must location for visitors to Mongolia. The monument is indeed gigantic with spectacular view, but the quality of construction is quite poor, partly perhaps because of the severe weather conditions.

The place was under some remodeling construction when I visited but I cant fault them for that. Definitely worth the trip.

Tourist attraction. About an hour outside of UB. FYI for Foreigner it costs 30,000 mnt ($12 USDa person to go inside and climb. At the complex you can take a photo with eagle, ride a camel, shoot a bow and arrow. Its a one stop shop. Ok if you need to kill a day.

Wondrous place. The fearless leader coated in silver. Also offers the opportunity to dress up like Mongolian warriors - well sort of. Loved it, even if I did look like a bit of a walloper.

This was very nicely done, lots of interesting facts about the Khan dynasty if youre prepared to spend a little time going round the various pictures of all the Khans. Dont let the guide rush you if you like this stuff.

It is still in the development stage but whats there is amazing~the view from the statue of Chinggis Khan is breathtaking. Also theres a person who will write whatever you want in Mongolian script. You can rent traditional costumes for Photos. I wish I had had more time to really look around the grounds. And there are gift shops for Mongolian made gifts.

Chinggis khan statue in mongolia is a definite place to visit. It is in the middle of nowhere and best visited with a tour or private guide. Would recommend a tour as private guides are not necessarily English speakers (funny right?)The climb up the horse is a must. The place can be visited in an hour easily (not including the travel time). Make sure u have plenty of water and snacks as there is nothing around. There is a restaurant at the complex but is closed most days according to a guide.

entry fee is 8500mnt with credit card accepted. an informative museum in the basement is worth a visit. do take a moment to stroll around the outside grounds as well. the isolation of the structure gives you a sense of being a nomad. an enjoyable visit! an interesting note, theres a gift store in a yurt outside located by the smaller sculptures of mongolian soldiers on horses. the statue is about 1.5 hours outside from ulaanbaatar so its best to combine this site with a trip to terelj national park.

Magnificent statue worth visiting. Easy to find and an easy drive from Ulaanbaatar. Inside are three well equipped souvenir shops and a place that will take a costume staged photo for 10.000 (worth it)

Biggest steel statue in the world. This got mentioned in the gunnies book of world record. The surrounding is very nice and also there is a very nice place to have your lunch inside the statue complex. I suggest it is better to wait for the lift as the stairs inside the statue to go up are very narrow.

The place is very cool, in fact it is the worlds largest horse statue. You can enter the place which costs about 3000 mongolian money. There you can find an large shoe, a mongolian traditional shoe which almost touches the ceiling. There is a souviner shop and shop with mongolian traditional clothes along side with warrior armor. From there you can find a elevator and stair, this leads to the horse. So while your climbing the stairs you will find a little room with mongolian paintings and scripture. And there a person sitting down on a chair. You can pay her money to get her to write your name on a piece of paper in mongolian. Then you will go more up and you will find and exit. Hi there and your on the horse. You are quite high up and you can get amazing views. There is also a museum in the basement.

Worth the travel to see. The metalwork is exceptional, and the sheer size is breath taking. The section from the elevator to the stairs is tight, so expect to get some high quality cuddling if there is two way traffic in there.

Its a little bit a drive outside the city but certainly well worth the visit. Do make the effort to go to the top of the statue yo see the views.

We visited very early in the season and were the only ones there! The statue was impressive and the guides spoke English and were knowledgeable. Features included exhibits of historical artifacts and replicas, the worlds largest Mongolian boot, and the chance to get your picture taken in costume. Outside was a Kazakh with an eagle and a vulture which were very impressive up close. We were told that it gets quite crowded and hot in the summer but cant speak from personal experience.

My school organized a day tour there by Genco tour company and it was great despite of rushing us and didnt serve tea. Actually, we enjoyed the trip.

The Chinggis Khaan Statue was brilliant, and massive structure to come our of the hills. represented on the hillside. Whilst we were there another rally was having a look around. A famous statue, offering something wlse not seen. Unfortunatly didnt go up and look out on the top of the horses mane.

Just out of town, the massive statue of Ghengis khan stands tall. My understanding is that the current president commissioned the project a number of years ago. With ambitions to become a mighty complex, the surrounding grounds are unfinished and the pavements starting to deteriorate. Locals have stalls near the car park where you can get photos with eagles and condors. Small museum and BIG gift shop inside

The statue itself is amazingly stunning. Its sheer size is enough to take your breath away. Definitely worth visiting. Having said that this is certainly a tourist attraction if your looking for an authentic Mongolian experience you wont find it here. Get out of the city and stay with nomadic families in the Gobi for that.The complex is also not yet finished, there are grander plans in store to turn the whole area into a big tourist park similar to the Lantau Buddha in Hong Kong or other such cultural icons.

Stainless steel huge statue in the middle of vast area of land. About an hour drive from Ulaanbaatar. Only if you are a fan of this past personality or into history of Mongolia. You may climb up the statue until to the head of the horse and see a lovely view from the top. Museum beneath the statue worth visiting.

The good: the statue of Chinggis Khan is imposing and really stands out from the hill it is on. When you climb to the top, youll see the surrounding countryside and the nearby mountains.The museum also offers a brief tour of Mongolian history. Plus the horsemen statues outside the statue complex also shows how the Khans cavalry would have been arranged.The bad: its very far from UlaanBaatar.But we got to see sheep, horses, cattle, and camels on the way there.

Nice statue complex and interesting museum. The view from the head of the horse is quite impressive.Please dont support the animal cruelty that is done in front of the statue (tied eagles, ...though!
