Exclusive VIP nightclub for members only, popular with celebrities.
Had a great night with the boys. The staff was very friendly and always on top of everything. Jero even charged my phone
RUBBIsh so bad. Shocking service bouncers don’t even let you in if you paid even. Halloween night ruined
Went to their event at Henley - absolutely dire! £160 a head to get in which included one arrival drink which wasn’t even seen, fights every where, we had to take cover behind the DJ booth at one point due to a large fight. My brother in law was charged £330 for three drinks rather than £33! Emailed china white the following morning asking them to cancel the transaction and luckily from his statement you could see all of his rounds where around £30 but three weeks late neither of us has even had an acknowledgment or a response. I’ve got to say it’s the worst customer service experience I have had in many years, especially when they brand themselves as a high end service. All four of us have said we would never go back to china white again, even despite the £300 over charge. If your looking for an over priced aggy chav fest this will be up your street- if not avoid!
More than year ago I sent a review for the Club Libertine, and I was informed by their admin to send an email to Chinawhite and they will resolve it “first thing Monday morning”. It has been over a year now and I still didn’t get a reply. I remembered because my original review had a lot of views and I was just emailed by Google. I lost hundreds of pounds because of these people and my New Years night but they absolutely don’t care about people. No wonder reviews across both their business’ are so terrible. For a people’s business you would’ve thought they would have dedicated staff for customer service and problem resolution. Please please don’t spoil your night out or possibly a special New Years night with this place, like I did.
Unpleasant staff and security. Completely diluted bottles that came with booth! For some reason we had a person in our booth pouring all of our drinks, when I couldnt taste any alcohol I asked for more and made him pour loads of what should have been pure vodka into my oj but still nothing. I told him that the vodka was water and to give me a shot of it which he wouldnt. The next bottle they brought out tasted much more like vodka. Cheap skates. Not to mention the laws they would be breaking by opening a bottle of branded drink and changing the contents of it before serving to customers. And dont let me forget.... when my friend got in contact with the organiser to book the booth, he asked for all the girls instagram pages who were attending to check that they were all good looking enough! Not only that, he now has all the girls in that clubs instagram. Disgraceful.
Had a good nightout at Libertine. The promoters and staff was easy to deal with and very straight to the point. The club played all the top tracks to keep the party going. I would most definitely recommend Libertine to anyone.
Good misuc and decor but far too many people. Not possible to dance as everyone is just squeezed in.
Libertine is the worst club to go to in central london they are racist have poor ethics and no morals. I made a complaint about a promoter and nothing was done at all they don’t care your not safe at all. A French promoter who calls himself magician is so full on he makes you feel like you owe him and have to sleep with him he tells you he lives close. I am so upset that so many girls have given in, because they felt they had no choice its shocking and the club did nothing at all about this. I heard he still works there and nothings changed. Disgusting management and staff.
Incredibly rude door staff (and yes I was not drinkingdemanding and snatching ID from my hand. I have no interest in your pathetic club/bar when you treat me like this. Enjoying my refund from the ticket I bought somewhere else. Stay happy, stay clear of here.
What can I say other than RACIST! I had a promoter, said I’m on his guest list then the doorman said he doesn’t know who I’m talking about. How can you not know when you all work together. then he let the white girls in behind me without no problems but couldn’t let me and my friend in because we are black. I looked the best out of all the girls in the que so It couldn’t be how I dressed. This club will end up like DSTRK, can’t get away with this racism for too long.
The security staff outside the club are a big joke. My 2 friends and I didnt even manage to get in because I tripped in my heels, my ankle rolled outwards - I cant walk in heels, I never wear them, but a friend said that Libertine had a strict heels policy. However, as I tripped on the pavement approaching the club, even though I stood up, they refused all of us entry because they claimed I was too drunk to enter.
What can I say about this place, we went out for my best friends birthday last weekend and the way they treat people is nothing short of disgusting!! We’ve been here before but not with such a big crowd (8 females). My friend contacted the promoter so see whether we could go on the g-list which he said was fine and he could go on his g-list but he said to arrive before 11 which we did. When we arrived there was barely a queue and we told the bouncers that we were on this promoters G-list and the bouncer told us to wait on the right side of the crappy little rope they have there. Another group of females I would say roughly 10 (white females - yes the ethnicity is importanttold the bouncer they were on the same promoter’s g list and they were told to wait on the left of the rope because that was for people on g-list (first red flagall of those females were let in and then when the bouncers start letting people in on the right - the side we were on. The bouncers checked our id and then began to let us in and then the lady at the door stopped us (second red flagand said sorry ladies we can’t let such a large group in tonight blah blah blah (please bare in mind that this was 11, clubs don’t really start getting packed yet and like I said previously the queue to get in was practically emptythe lady then asked us to come out of the queue and wait on the other side of the road, then she proceeded to let in the rest of that queue in. Unlike the previous group that was let it we were of group of mixed ethnicities - black, mixed race and white females. We spoke to the promoter and asked him what’s going on and he said there’s nothing he can do. I don’t know whether someone saw us on the cctv and decided not to let us in, but quite frankly I feel like we were discriminated against because of the colour of our skin because I can’t fathom why she couldn’t let us in at all, even if it wasn’t on a g list, because the club definitely wasn’t full. I have heard from various people saying that this club is racist but as I haven’t experienced it previously, (I have witnessed females being sent away because the lady at the door didn’t like how they were dressedI was ignorant to it all but please believe it is. Not just racist can I add if you don’t fit their perception of beauty you ain’t getting in..whether it be that your fat, black, Asian or just not wearing something to the lady on the doors liking, you will be turned away!!
Being an Ex Playboy Bunny girl, I have first handed experience in working in a 5-star establishment and working with HNWIs in a "nightclub environment" . However I am appalled & disgusted by the inhuman and volatile staff working on the door at this nightclub.I have never in my life been faced with such discriminative racism. In all of my 25 years being a woman, living in a multi cultural cosmopolitan society I have never had to question myself, based on the colour of my skin.I am a privately educated scholar, that has obtained degrees and professional international training both in the UK & Europe. I proudly now working for a Property developers in West London. I have been accepted in every business, every school, every restaurant, every nightclub I have ever visited all around the world. However at LIBERTINE I was denied access because i did not "fit the look".On arrival there were two ques, i was told to que in the "right hand lane" along with my other two girlfriends , who happen to be both mixed race. However my white girlfriend was told to que in the "left hand lane".None the wiser, we did this - carried on chatting and on arrival to the front door me and my two girlfriends were denied access, but my girlfriend who was in the other que, was granted access. At first we were dismissively told " sorry we are full " .Now strange and as shocked as we were, we all decided to leave together. When we questioned the workers on the door why three of us were denied access and my other friend wasnt we were told "sorry some of you dont fit the look".When we looked back at the ques I was sickened and shocked to realise that there was an obvious reason why we were told to que in different lanes & an obvious visible difference in the ques. And as i write this I cant even believe I am saying this, however here we go... one que was full of asain, black and "brown" coloured men and women and the other prominently white females and males. On having this harsh reality slapped in my face, the shocking scene hit my stomach like a tonne of bricks. I felt sick. I still feel sick.I wasnt going to write a review but my mother pushed me to do this.My mother being a white woman who had a child with a mixed race man had faced racial discrimination for many of years and was disgusted to hear of my experience, all these years later in 2018.- I was advised by a promoter outside, working for the club (who happened to be a black man himself), that if we had walked in separately and not all three mixed race girls together, we most likely would have got in.- I have NEVER and will certainly NEVER be a "token" black person for anyone or any establishment. And try to hide my identity just to "sneak-in" to a nightclub.I will never in my life re-visit this establishment. Anyone who works for this establishment and is associated with this place, should be ashamed to represent a company with such a "backward / Neanderthal " ethos.I hope other people who are reading this review & have experienced similar discrimination, whether as a customer or a member of staff - pick up the courage to speak out about their experiences. YOU ARE NOT ALONE & if enough people collectively speak up about their experiences then this place can be investigated and its ugly hidden engender, for racial segregation, will be revealed!Let us follow in the footsteps of the other brave movements for injustice that have happened this year#METOO#TIMESUP#LIBERTINEISRASICTLIBERTINE should not be allowed to co-insist with todays society.
Absolutely DISGUSTING place full of uneducated racist staff who wouldn’t allow me in because of the colour of my skin!! My white friend got in just fine. Never will I ever go to this club or any around the area. They simply told me it was “too full” but what a complete lie. My white friends was let in 10 minutes later. Absolutely disgusting !!! I had to tell them about themselves and if your from an ethnic background and still continue to visit this club or work for these people you should be ASHAMED of yourself. Please don’t bother wasting your time if your black, Asian, mixed race or just not skinny and white.
Definitely worth the extra few days to experience a nightclub along with the trendsetters of the UK! Especially for a cowboy from Tucson, AZ. USA. I can assure you there is nothing in Arizona, possibly Las Vegas to match Clubing, in London more then likely due to fashionable young lady made meg visit some of her favorite shops and gave me her expertise in fine tayloring by gentlemen who certainly dress well. In the States your lucky to get a kid just out of High School, I guess you dont have to be knowledgeable to sell jeans and boots, i must say for a guy who got 60 or more hand made western style boots too a guy that didnt look or feel out of place in Chinawhite, Im sorry i didnt see an old school chum, Rory K.while visiting your hestoric wonderful special place in our World. If youve got a friend to get you in, you wont go wrong to stop by if youre in the neighborhood. Life is good there, Im going to return soon to do a little shopping, Im feeling very comfortable in these finery, and enjoy being dressed the same way my parents would have loved seeing me in. So long, but not very Im sure.W.E.Mitchell, If you get to Our beautiful Southwest and Tucson will give you a taste of our Desert and Fire Nightly In The Sky. In our part of the USA feel free to get in touch, you all treated me so well, Id like to do the same.
I heard they can be racist but I didnt experience any of that. They also play different genres of music which is always good. However they turn people away if you arent dressed on point. And by on point I mean like the girls on love island 😂. Great night out nonetheless and easy to get to from the station!
Good music good crown impeccable service at the VIP table. Cant fault them, I had a great time with the office crew.
Rude bouncers and unprofessional staff . Drinks and entry are pricey and music is bad .I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone . Service is slow . Its one of them clubs that they judge u based on ur appearance and how much money you got .
Always love it here. Never had a problem getting in with friends. Just dress up very smart and always have your IDs. Crowd is always great.
Went for a high school reunion with a few guys and girls. Great overall experience from the moment that we booked the table to when we got pizza at our table at the end of the night (yes, you really can get pizza at 3AM at Libertine!!)
OK where do I start? The fact that Im awarding one star is beyond generous. This club is full of skanks and wannabes- if you wanna go to a place where the guys think theyre in some rap video and the girls are jumping from table to table scrounging drinks then this is the place for you otherwise avoid at all costs. Security at the door were nice but the ones inside were bloody animals! This place is bad vibes- music only started to pick up towards the end of the night which was a shame because by then I had enough and left.
It was amazing: great music, really good tunes, great vibe, friendly promoters and club-goers, really nice crowd and not racist at all unlike the words of other reviewers.I am black and I went in with one Asian friend and one white friend and once we were in there were different ethnicities inside. Dress well, make sure you are on guestlist and go in a small group and you will deffo get in -same thing for all central London clubs.
Worst experience EVER!!!!It was my 24th birthday arrived soon as the doors opened! I was dressed very well especially as I was celebrating, I am a black girl and I was with 2 of my white friends. We told the door man we are on the guest list, however a lady came over and said "sorry we cant accept any more people on that list" how can that be wen we were practicals the first there! They refused for us to pay on the door and my birthday was initially ruined! Never coming here again worst club ever. Unless u got a table costing £500-£1000 then no point! Oh yh especially if youre black!!!!
Great on Friday night. Cant believe how good the crowd was and great music all night. Happy to recommend my Capital A List membership as it got us in without issue. Will be back soon for sure.
The security were absolutely horrible, and thought they owned the place and could be rude to you. I was never given a stamp by the woman behind the desk and the security guard had a go at me, when it was the womans job to give me a stamp! However, the actual club was really fun and the music was good but the experience of the security made me think I dont really want to come back.
Money is not the issue. Got. Table, that was supplied with water downed vodka. I took a sample and it tested reduced strength. They took a half full bottle off table before it closed clearly demonstrating that they received use bottle. When asked for bottle back they refused. Aweful music! Bad crowd that are not engaging. Dont waste your money on this place. Scam, poor fit out Bs bad crowd!
Usually have a very good time here when going out with a promotor called Mia. A really fun place. Huge and beautiful bathrooms. The club can get very crowded though and the door lady is just straight out mean to people. Though I guess its here job.
Wonderful, have been there a few times. It is difficult to get in but I hope they keep it that way. Keeps all the useless waste people out. Full of beautiful girls. Good music friendly people inside who actually want to talk to you. Only downside is the main dance floor could be a bit bigger.
Would not even give this place 1 star! Me and 2 friends messaged the club before hand who confirmed guest list entry for us. We arrived only to be rudely dismissed by the bouncers who told us to wait across the road where legless girls had been carted off to. My friends and I were smartly dressed, partywear and heels, for whatever reason we were refused entry, being told they were letting no more people in. At that moment, two males arrived and were immediately let in. Having read the reviews I can truly believe this club is racist and base who they let in on skin colour, most of the girls they had carted across the road were women of african or Jamaican heritage. A disgusting way to treat people. This club should be ashamed to call themselves "high end" . Do not waste your time going, there are plenty of other places to visit in London!
Definitely judgemental at the door due to skin colour and other issues. Dont bother entering this club its a waste of time.Dont bother joining a guestlist because they will tell you that your guestlist is full and tell you to step to the side after you have waited in a line for 40 mins. When you get there there are two lines one for people who want to get in one for people who get rejected and other people who are trying to get in the club. This club is overrated and the other reviews posted represent a good overall experience of the club. Unless you spend £1000 on a table your chances of entering the club will be very very low.
Do not recommend. Booked 5 of us on the guest list, turned up.. Did que for 15 minutes on this freezing evening... on the end the lady on the entrance looked at us and said that she doesnt have us on the list..!!??. And we will not get in! As the club is full!how Phoned them and been told that there is no guarantee to be let in even if we are on guest list... Why no one told us? Whats the point of booking? If we knew we would never go there. Terrible customer service. Spoiled evening!
Oh dear, i think the other reviews are from people that couldnt get in for whatever reason. Im a Capital A List member so entry is never an issue. Anyway, when you are actually inside the club is amazing as ever - the music has been consistently good since I first came here and staff are usually super friendly. Sundays are probably the best night here at the moment.
Wish I didnt have to even leave a star! This is the most vile, horrible club I think I have ever been to in my life! After 50 minutes of waiting to get into the club as soon as we where let in we were looked up and down at by bouncers who were up their own asses. But we were let in. The club was dirty. Never again will I go!!!
Terrible, staff are so rude. People jump the line and get away with it completely, Ive never met anyone more incompetent than one of the female bartenders, I had to teach her how to pour me out a drink, ridiculous service. At least put a smile on!
Please guys do not support this club if they have been racist towards you, the best thing you can do is boycott by not going there! Judging by the reviews this club should be closed for the disgusting behaviour towards black people, they love our music but dont love us! Be wise!
Racist door policy. They slowly filter out coloured people and say you are in big groups. Absolute nonsense of a club, not worth a penny, dont go here or your night will be ruined, had a guest list for a 21st birthday but got turned away at the door as we had 8 girls and 3 guys all ASIAN. Do not spend money here you are wasting a good night elsewhere. There are plenty of other clubs and this aint one of them
Tragic club. We went for my friends birthday and weve never felt so uncomfortable in a club. If I could give 0 stars then I really would. Its just a club for posers spending extortionate amounts of money on alcohol and pretending theyre having a good night. Unpleasant staff too. I would not recommend any one to go to this place.
DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB EVER. Bartenders are rude, bouncers are even more rude. Managers are unprofessional and drink on the job. Bouncers definitely discriminate by looks. My friends and I were there for an event, and were situated to hang upstairs. We had asked if we could go downstairs to the dance floor because thats all that we really wanted to do. The employees were saying wait 30 minutes, and then it lead to wait an hour, and then wait another 30 minutes. They just kept feeding us lies until we eventually just tried to get in and the bouncer blocked us from getting in. (Needless to say people who were with our group for the event were able to get in throughout the night). We then tried to speak to someone in charge to get to the bottom of this, and see if we could pay any additional money to get us into the dance floor. They led all of us in circles, and one girl who is probably a promoter for the club was very nasty and rude to my friend who was just trying to get information so she could email the manager for a refund. All the employees/promoters that we were dealing with would talk in Spanish thinking that we didnt know what they were saying, but my friend and I happen to speak Spanish. It was just an incredibly awful experience, and the workers are very unprofessional.
Literally go to any other club in London but this one. The staff is rude and unhelpful. We stood in line for over an hour, even though we had already paid for entry, and we were still not let in. My friends, who stayed in line for several hours, were not let in either. Again, we had all already paid for entry. Avoid libertine at all costs.
Great club, I went there last week for my birthday party and I ended up really drunk, however a lady looked after me really well, she was so nice and she gave me a bottle of water. She took me outside the club because I was sick and they were closing while my friends were taking my stuff from the cloakroom. This club has given me the bests nights of my life, great club, great music, great crowd. The door girl is so sweet and the people who scan the IDs and give the stamps are lovely. Some security guys are kinda rude and some others are fun. They even dance in the club! 😂😂😂This will always be my favourite club ever!!!And by the way, this club is not racist at all, Im Latina and Ive got black friends and weve never had any problem. You cant blame the club if you dont know how to behave or to be well dressed. Just be sure that your outfit follows the dress code.
Crap music. Crap club. Crap crowd. Full of freeloaders and tarts. Door people with no class whatsoever. Im pretty sure the door girl works at Pret making skinny lattes in the day. But seems to think, as she holds a clipboard she can behave like she holds the power of some mystical secret world. Calm down sweet heart, youre only another European girl over from the continent used as cheap labour. By the way, we did get in, just stop ruining peoples night before they get in. Just because youre standing outside, watching other people trying to have a good night. Get an education, some level of respect for others then maybe, just maybe you may get somewhere in life and not have to stand outside holding a clipboard.
Wouldnt recommend this club to ANYONE!!! Turned up at the club for August Alsina hosting. What a disappointment. Queued for two and a half hours only to be told the club is over capacity and doors are being closed, right in our faces mind you, as we were the next group to enter. The security guards admitted knowing the club was too full for the last 45 minutes, but failed to relay this to the large amount of clubbers queuing outside in the cold of which 80% was young ladies.... Being on the guest list, serves no purpose at all, believe me..... Not nice experience at all......
We queued for about an hour in the cold and finally got to the front of the queue. We were asked for ID which we showed. The most obnoxious, patronizing door lady looked us up and down and asked what guest list we were on. We told her, to which she replied ‘Not tonight, ladies. Please step aside’. I’m standing there shocked and confused because I’ve heard about this sort of behavior at clubs but never experienced it before. We were properly dressed. I asked why we were not able to get in and was told that they owe us no explanation and we should go home. WHAT?! I demanded a sensible explanation and some elderly white man, maybe the manager tells me ‘maybe because you’re black but there are some black people inside, probably because you’re not good looking enough’. At that point, I was speechless. We left and the next day I sent an email to the owner, the manager and the club. In this email, I demanded an explanation and apology for such appalling abusive treatment. It has been over six weeks and these people did not even think that I deserved a reply.
We went to Libertine last Sunday to see Miguel. He was crazy good and the place was jumping! We booked our table with the help from London Night Guide and we were surprised because they gave us a really good deal. Because we had table bookings, we were entitled to queue jump and other VIP services. The night went smooth all thanks to them.
Great club and vibes! Central London is the place to be on a weekend night or even in the mid of the week, when you feel like partying or just want some pure fun. The club may get too overcrowded and the prices too high, but if you want to be part of a sophisticated and very classy crowd, this is the right club!
I guess, whatever review I leave on here, regarding this high end club of Central London will be nothing new, especially regarding the ultra high prices however, but that is part of the entire night life experience after all. I had some sort of high expectations about Chinawhite and the décor did not disappoint me, nor the glamorous crowd and good tracks, so if an expensive and top-notch type of club is what you look for your night out, you will definitely love it!
We were a big and mixed group of friends and one of them, who is a member had our names on the guest list, so the entering was quite easy and for free, but if that was not the case, I would certainly not go to such a place, where prices are exorbitant and posey is the right word to describe them! Nothing against that, but I am just not from the people, who have money to blow and such clubs are all about that!
My first time going to Chinawhite was when a friend of mine introduced me to it, as he was celebrating his birthday in here and I felt so much in love with it!! I absolutely love it and the blasts I had here are second to none! I love the fact that you have to be dressed very posh and stylish when go there, but that is part of the clubbing experience, so what is better than be part of a posh crowd and dance on great music?!!! A Must go if you want to have a memorable night out!
Very nice club !I went with 6 of my friends and we really enjoyed the party. The music is good, great vibes but the club could be a bit bigger ...The service is very good and the staff polite. We went with LuxGuestList and they take care of us all night long it was perfect for my birthday !I think ill return soon.
China white club is one of the best clubs in London, very nice security systems. But the drinks are very expensive. Also there are no enough parking space. I wish they will display all drinks prices clearly, before people embarrassed themselves.
