China Wall - Tourist attraction in Halls Creek, Australia
Very cool rocks and gorge, would be very nice with water run through.
Its unreally place, great wall by nature. Cant be missed when you stop over at Halls Creek.
Interesting natural feature
Interesting rock formation.Easy access, we towed a van in and turning circle at the end of road. Only 1.5km of gravel road after you turn off sealed road and go threw the gate. Please close the gate behind you not like the others that come in behind us, its not hard. Do the right thing so these places stay open to the public
Interesting to see and read about how it was formed.
Almost missed it and had to turn back to find it. Its through a closed gate right at the painted bonnet sign.Interesting geological feature and worth a look.
Another of natures miracles. Hundreds of years taking the sand stone away from a cartz vain leaving it looking like a wall. Impressive.
Just out of Halls Creek on Duncan Road - interesting rock formation - make sure to shut the gate mate 😉
awesome
A part of the kimberleys fascinating geological history. It changes the feel of the place with the different levels of sunlight through the day. Worth a look..
If you go to Halls Creek and miss this you are mad. Go through the gate and do it about 30 minutes before sunset. Phenomenal.
A short drive but after seeing the Wall in China it was uncanny
Definitely worth the stop
Beautiful scenery,dont expect any facilities
Such an interesting place to see. I just wish it was better signposted. Google maps took us way past the entrance.
Not much to see
Gorgeous at any time of day.
Cool spot, not far off the road. Looks amazing.
I thought it was really cool to see such a clearly defined seam of white quartz in the red dirt of the hills. Not a place for a long visit but definitely worth a vlook.
Worth seeing!
It’s alright, just 5 minutes away from Halls Creek. You can have a nice small walk there, but there is nothing much to see, except for the medium-sized “wall”.
Prehistoric, reminds me of a dinosaur spine
Pretty cool wall, you can get amazing photos from this place from the air. It actually is pretty long and can get high in some places which is cool being that it is natural and all. Not to far from halls creek also this an easy drive. (2 wheel drive is possible)
We drove the RV down the road not much room to turn around down the bottom.it can be done. when driving up to the sign on the left looks like the gate are shut but youve get out and unlock the gates if you missed the turn into the property, its a bit hard to turn around there but still make the effort to go in and see its well worth it
Worth a look at the amazing formations.
Very interesting geologic formation. Best viewed near sunset.
An interesting geological structure
Very interesting and an easy short walk.
My tour guide bring us here, expecting something majesty like the China wall but its just an OK spot. We spent less than an hour to explore the area. This is a great place for geologist student to learn about the rock.Theres no public transportation to go here so you need to bring your own vehicle or rent one. I recommend to go here in the evening around 3-4 pm as its too hot for me in the afternoon.
Nothing to exciting going on there unless your a geologist
Close the gate when you pass through it.6km from town. 100m from carpark at end of road. Well worth the effort to visit.
A good tourist attraction whose beauty & attraction could be enhanced if some care & attention is given to providing details & facts as to what the wall is, how or what caused it to come into being and clearly state it is mother natures art work and not man made. Access is via a gate which has to be opened & closed on entry & exit by the visitor. And 1.5km of the drive is on an unsealed badly corrugated road. The wall itself is beautiful and awe inspiring. Quartz in all its glory.
Pleasantly unexpected, worth the short drive
Beautiful
A stunning feature of natural rock formation.
China Wall is an outcrop of quartz protruding from a mountain, looks like a spinal cord. Looks man made but mother nature took care of that. Entry is from Halls Creek about 8klms on bitumen to gate, then gravel. 2 to 3 klms from gate, views great worth the effort.
It was hot there but a great natural outcrop of quartz. There was another close by.
Great tourist attraction
Great natural formations that have appeared after many years of erosion
Interesting geologically speaking. You can even swim in the wet season!
Very interesting. Just a pity there wasnt some information about it.
Fascinating..looks like someone was a good stone Mason however its natural quartz which has withstood the weathering of the soil around it
Interesting quarzt reef exposed like a wall, but dont expect the China Wall!
Eye catching and unusual rock formation.Road, parking & facilities very basic.Well worth a look.
Worth visiting in the late afternoon for the best lighting.
Visit late afternoon for the sunset. Just a short distance out of Halls creek. No facilities but nice spot for a BBQ.
Awesome place.
Loved this place and the magnificent views
I wouldnt go there just to see this but if you already are in this area then why not
Okay to visit if you are in the area and have some time. A bit off road but still okay, doesnt require a 4x4.
