China Palace Restaurant in Los Alamos
Description
Privilege
Great flavor food. Definitely stop by if you want some good chinese
Is good, you mostly get what you pay for,
Amazing food and incredibly clean building, the lunch buffet is smaller than most but has really good food on it thats hot
MoreAbsolutely disgusting, I wouldnt even call it food. The duck was horrible, the chicken tasted funny as well. The crab Rangoon aka crab and cream cheese fried wonton was nothing but wontons. Not only that but the prices online are wrong as well. Got charged way too much money for food that didnt get eaten. I will never eat here again!! Save your money! Id give it a ZERO star if I could.
MoreDelicious as always. Buffet all the way
Quick, friendly, consistent. I love their Kung Pao chicken. Their chicken fried rice is good, but could be better (mostly, their chicken needs to be half the size).
MoreWe had the lunch buffet. Ridiculously overpriced for the size of the buffet (price not posted). Food did not have any authentic taste. It was bland, or sickenly sweet. Store bought cookies and unripe fruit for dessert. My 1st visit and I wont go back.
MoreRestaurant was clean, food came out quickly and servers were attentive. Had the vegetable plate which was bland and tasteless and terribly overpriced. Will not be revisiting or recommending this restaurant.
MoreNot much of a selection. Was not pleased at all.
Boring food. I had the buffet 2 times my 1st and last.
Perfect date spot. Never gets old. The service is top notch and the food is delicious. Perhaps the best dining experience in Los Alamos.
MoreReally good little buffet and quick and kind service.
A family favorite for sure. Golden thin noodles cant be beat.
I’ve been to a dozen different Chinese restaurants in California, Indiana, Washington, and this has by far been the most authentic and tasty Chinese food I’ve ever had. I lived in Heibei for a bit and the meal I just had made me think back to my time as a student there. If you’re at a loss as to what you should order, gice the duck a try, thats what I just had.
MoreReally good small town Chinese. Try the black pepper chicken or teriyaki chicken
It was very nice to come back here. The new menu looks amazing. The egg rolls were delicious. The house lomein and general TSOs chicken were delightful. I hope to get to go back one day.
MoreThe almond chicken was very good, the Vegetable Festival less so. You dont get unlimited white rice. The vegetable egg roll was very good. In general I felt it was a bit overpriced--almost $40 for two people, not including tip.
MoreGood hot fresh buffet. Good service.
Traveling through town and our group decided to try this place. It was very good. Our group of 6 was seated quickly and ordered within a few minutes and our food was out relatively quick as well. We ordered the shrimp lo mein, chicken lo mein, beef broccoli, sesame chicken, and dumplings. Plenty of food. Came out hot. Service was very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend. We would eat here more often if we lived closer.
MoreI like the food. Very large sitting fecility inside.
Food was good but the gal who was on the phone and register needs some skills...No condiments or utincles (requestedwere there.Ordered pork eggrolls and got veggie.Youll enjoy the food...just check your order before leaving.
MoreThe food is overpriced for the quality and taste you receive. Very disappointing. The sweet and sour chicken was bland and the sauce was watery and dull. No sweet no sour. Maybe cough syrup would have made the chicken better. General Tso’s was bland as well and no spice at all. More sugar syrup. The white rice was good. I mean if you mess that up it’s time to close down. I hate to leave a bad review but man this was bad. Our dog was happy tho. He had lots for dinner.
MoreAs fine as anything in Chicago (and fair prices)! Friendly, safe and sanitary pick up. Great varied and reliable menu. Worth a try!
MoreI ordered chow mein and received chop suey with crispy dry noodles in a bag. I ordered steamed dumplings with hot sauce and received sweet red syrup. I ordered mongolian beef and it had no spice or flavor. This place is also super expensive. $60 for two entrees and a couple of appetizers.
MoreRight off the bat the two lady’s where unfriendly said something about Mexicans. I am a Mexican. They didn’t wanna serve me and my co worker. Shame on them and there small business we happily left ! Don’t go to this place !!!
MoreGood food for Los Alamos. I would return, but it is not as high of quality as some Chinese I have had other locations.
MoreLocals and eat there often. Good food friendly staff!
Certainly not the best lunch buffet in Los Alamos County but they sure do try. Maybe I just got there too late? I dont know. (three stars)EDIT: I have to update my review. The previous review I gave it three stars. If you go to the China Palace then order something off the menu. The food is so much better!
MoreIm visiting Los Alamos and I stopped in China Palace for take out. Restaraunt appeared clean, service was quick and responsive. Amount of food was good but was very expensive]: $17 for entree, fried rice and egg roll (maybe thats not expensive for Los Alamos). The entree was tasteless, the fried rice wasnt fried enough, and the egg roll was more spring roll or lumpia size but was good. Not sure how restaraunt earned 4 star rating...3 stars is a stretch but the cookie given as a dessert was delicious.
MoreOne of our favorite takeout places! The food is always hot and fresh, and the order is always correct (which is a big deal). Tasty food and excellent service!
MoreService was fast and courteous. We ordered veg fried rice - one if the most flavorful that we’v ever had. Bean curd vegetable festival was cooked perfectly. Veggies were bright and the garlic sauce was divine. All of our children asked to come back soon. We all highly recommend. :-)
MoreGreat Chinese Buffet, at a fair price. We enjoy the buffet from time, always start Hot and Sour Soup.
MoreI enjoyed this restaurant. There is a very good selection, the food is reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Its not a 5 star restaurant, to be sure, but it is Definitely a very solid 4.
MoreOh my. Bad Bad Bad. Lo main with spaghetti noodles? Vulcanized shrimp and dried fried rice. Come on China palace! 50 bucks and you skimp that hard on Chinese food? You have went from a 4 to a .5 star. AVOID THIS PLACE!
MoreVeggies were prepared well. Nice wait staff. Good service.
A co-worker and I went in for lunch and it was a buffet, which is fine, but the options were hit and miss. The sauteed mushrooms and look mein were great but the beef and broccoli and hot sour soup were very bland. Id go back, but I would be selective about what I eat.
MoreIll start with the good: the ladies were very friendly and the food came out quickly. I ordered takeout so the fast service was nice. However, the food was nearly inedible. I got beef lo mein; the noodles were squishy and overcooked, lacked flavor and the beef was tough and sinewy. My husband got general Tsaos chicken that also lacked flavor and was soggy. He said it had no heat to it either. We shared an order of the thickest wonton wrapped crab and cream cheese rangoons Ive ever had. For the cost, wed have been better off getting takeout from Smiths and reheating it
MoreLiterally the best Chinese food in town hands down! Buffet at lunch and pick up all the time
MoreI love this restaurant best Chinese food i rate it 5 stars and #1 in new mexico 😋
MoreGood food, great service, decent prices. If youre in Los Alamos this place is better than the buffet for sure. The food tastes more home style cooked instead of fast cooked like other Chinese restaurants. There is also a wide selection to choose from.
MoreTheir chicken fried rice is the best! Everything weve tried is delicious.
Great food. We took it to go and it was piping hot when we got home. Lots of great veggies and lovely service.
MoreSo much better than the other place. I feel like one is more geared toward what they think authentic is ... and the other is this one which is so dang good
MoreOutstanding service, food and price. Already one of my all time favorites.
Very good service, food good except a little greasy, but I was so hungry for Chinese food it tasted GREAT to me. Plenty of food.
MoreI was not at China Palace. I was at Pyramid Cafe next door. Get it right next time Google. 5 stars, Jeffy approved.
MoreGood food. Only suggestion I would have is to label food better for people with food allergies. IE shellfish.
MoreSad....visited here at 6pm dinner hour, there were 2 other customers. I should have left then :( food was cold an not very good. Hope we dont get food poisoning:( save your money an eat elsewhere.
MoreI think their food is very tasty however I would like to see a larger buffet and much more desserts and maybe an ice cream machine like China moon
