China Lantern - Chinese restaurant in Pueblo, United States
Love this place and food!! My favorite.
Good food! Always has been since I could remember but front counter girl is very rude. She is very annoyed by anyone who walks in the door and she seems to get very annoyed with staff. She definitely shouldn’t be the face as people walk in because she looks as if she hates it. I have had three different encounters where I have experienced seeing her be rude to others so I try not inconvenience her by not coming in often.
First time eating here and its the best Ive eaten in a long time! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. So worth every penny!
This Chinese place is Lowkey the best in Pueblo. Any other Chinese restaurant is mid af so I suggest just stop hesitating and just come eat at this restaurant
I love this place. The people are always so friendly. The food is really good.
This just hast to be my favorite favorite Chinese restaurant ever soups chicken beef pork noodles everything is made fresh and with 0 opps how can restaurants this good egsiset
Wonderful Chinese restaurant! Truly a local favorite. There are gorgeous, big real green plants by the big bright front windows, and the seating is booths and tables. The waitresses are very nice, and there is big lighted art scenes on the walls. The service is perfect, and the food is so good. I like the lemon chicken and mushroom egg fu Yung. Everything comes with a nice crispy tiny side salad. So tasty! Their fried chicken and hamburgers are really good too.
Really good portions for a great price. I would recommend
Sesame chicken was probably the best I have had in Pueblo it was like candied the egg drop soup best I have ever had, service was great and honestly wish I knew about this place years ago everything was really good
Its always been amazing, all genres. American, Chinese, deserts, always friendly.
This place is a top tier Chinese restaurant in pueblo. The fried rice was ridiculously delicious and everything else in the menu is a work of art. This place is poetry in motion.
its a nice comfortable place the waitresses do a really good job the food is always Hot g try the fried chicken or chicken fried steak the best in town
Just like everywhere else they raised their prices, however extremely good food no matter what you order. They will be closed for two weeks starting July 3, 2022. They need a vacation, thank you for having excellent customer service and really great food. 😋 😋 😋
Excellent food, prepared nicely. Hot and fresh the exact minute they said to pickup.
First here in a few years. I enjoyed it. The egg drop soup was delicious and I have their stuffed peppers which honestly were just meatloaf imo, but still pretty good. They have a pretty big menu with both Chinese and American dishes. Place was pretty clean and the service was good. Very friendly staff.
China Lantern ranks in the top tier of Chinese restaurants in Pueblo. Best thing is they are open on Sunday so if you crave egg rolls, beef broccoli and Kung Pao chicken you know where to go. The staff is friendly and attentive and the large dining room never feels too crowded. A great value! GH
Always good! Been eating there my whole life.
Food is still amazing.. been years since I was here..
Waitress was down right rude, nasty and unconcerned as to whether she got you what you asked for or not. Food was ice cold clearly the result of waitress too busy walking around talking rather than serving customers. She literally slung bowl of soup across table to person who ordered it. refilled one coke and one diet only to bring them back and saying "I dont know which is which so you will have to taste them and figure out which is which." White lady slight bend walks with a limp.
Service was great! I had the triple delight, my wife had the 5 piece chicken dinner. All of the meals were excellent and tasty. Will eat there again and will recommend to others.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I have never had a bad meal there. The servers are warm and inviting. Best Asian food in Pueblo!
So many items to choose from and not just Chinese. The portions are huge big enough for everyone to share and it tastes great. The inside is a little outdated but its comfortable once you get seated and the staff are very welcoming. We had a great young lady as our waitress and she was super helpful and attentive. This was 2nd time being here and one of these times Ill come back and try the fried chicken or something new.
Our first time here ... Great menu selection, super friendly staff & larger than expected portions.
Awesome food and very clean. The waitresses were polite and not pushy. The meal was hot when served, and was provided takeout boxes when we left.
First time eating at this restaurant, food was good and hot portions are good, will definitely go back again.
I have been coming here for 40 years. The food is wonderful. The employees are hard working people. Definitely eat here if you havent before.
Hands down the best Chinese food in town!! I Will not eat chinese food elsewhwre. Love the staff its definitely a place who has its usual people. Absolutely the best.
I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and let me tell you. This food is the BEST homemade Chinese around! Never once have I been disappointed with anything I ordered. The fried chicken is AMAZING!! I have family from California that comes to Pueblo and specifically asks to eat this place.
Good food, nice staff. The inside is a little out dated but it makes the place cozy and comfortable...just by watching the customers you can tell this place is well liked by Puebloans and been a local favorite for many many years. We had Chinese, and it was really good and great taste but the majority of others we noticed had American food...so it must be super good. A few people ordered chicken fried steak. We will for sure come back and try.
Quaint little Chinese place, friendly service easy-going great food.. beef chow mein was always been my favorite.. always have daily specials going..
Sometimes the services lags if your unfortunate to have one of the new young ladies they are attemping to train; who dont get you drink refills & rarely check back with you on how your food is. My opinion on the food can be inconsistant too, it is either very good to average.
Ive never gotten food poisoning from here (yet! The food is generally pretty tasty. Its not excellent, its not even great, its just good. Its one of those places that will fill the void where its needed
This place is okay. The gravy on the Chinese dishes is delicious. Take out takes forever and they never seem to take DoorDash orders online so we thought we would dine in. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Lost my appetite when one of the waitresses (owner maybewas changing out the toilet brushes from the bathrooms behind the counter. Yep they were dripping all over the counter. They didn’t seem to think anything of it unfortunately and it made me wonder what else they do. We will find another Chinese restaurant probably.
Delightful place for our family to gather before going our separate ways home. Our first time here (we are from Missouri), favorite stop for Cousin Judy. 10 in our group tonight. Place was very clean, adequate seating. Staff friendly and helpful wanted to make our meal enjoyable.
This place was recommended so many times I finally had to try it and I wasnt disappointed. The food is so good and the online ordering makes it so easy for introverts like me. Had the chicken fried rice and sesame chicken - Delish. 👍
Probably the best Chinese food Ive had since moving to Colorado. The portions are huge. The sesame chicken was so good. Will definitely be ordering again.
Great fried chicken. Wish the fries was better. They were very hard with a breaded unseasoned flavor.
As always the food is fantastically amazing and the waitress are always friendly. Clean and fresh place with great tasting food. The egg drop soup awesome, the orange chicken was a little sweet. Cantonese fried chicken awesome lunch specials worth every penny! Great Pueblo staple.
In my opinion this is the best Chinese restaurant in Pueblo. They also have great American food too. The fried chicken is so good. The same wait staff have been there for years, they know the customers and are very friendly.
Food was freshly made to order. Egg rolls were big compared to other places. Lo mein was great. Service was prompt and courteous. We both had plenty left over for dinner later. Even their hot mustard was made on site. Best Chinese food in Pueblo.
Best sweet and sour sauce ive ever had .. Great service great price. Great fried shrimp great everything!👍
Everything is perfect except the salad. The salad had a lot of water.
Okay so our preferred Chinese restaurant in pueblo was closed (wonderful bistroand saw this with mixed reviews but lemme say the food is fire the orange chicken is like candied and so yummy (my husbands lunch, he made me try)The moogoo mushroom lunch with shrimp also had like the best tasting sauce. Idk why stars are low, server was also fantastic and attentive. We really liked the middle of the crab puffsUnsweetened tea was so good strong not gross like some machines
Great deal for your buck! Good tasting Chinese food- more authentic than other places Ive been. The service was lacking, but they were busy and our waitress was very people oriented and made us laugh. Id go back. The portions were generous.
The egg rolls are AMAZING!! The beef and broccoli was some of the best Ive ever had. I would definitely recommend this food.Portions were large. Food was ready at quoted time. Customer service was exceptional
We couldnt believe the size of the portions. They were so huge and delicious! We will definitely be back next time were in town! Friendly staff is always a plus, they had it all. They also had a great background music.
Me and my significant other have gone here many times, and have gotten different dishes. ALWAYS tastes good, and recently they have gotten new staff that is very pleasant. There meat is always good product, not stringy weird chicken/or meat you get from other Chinese restaurants. 10/10 always recommend when getting Chinese food
The portions are really well sized for the price. It’s a meal for two unless you’re super hungry!!
A unique spin on the traditional chinese foods. Portions were large and full flavored. +++AAA+++
Wow this place is good and they have big lunch portions. The egg roll was huge and the best one I have had in a very long time. We got Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both were excellent.
