Always good food here.

As a Ball State Student, I just love coming to China Express! I’m a picky eater actually, but whenever I come here I’m always happy with what I get, and I’ve had tons of their dishes! My favorite part is that you can customize your dish however you want it. For example, I like to ask for extra garlic in my dishes because I love garlic! The people in China Express are always so kind and helpful! They’ll certainly help you if you are unsure what to get. I always get the combo dishes now though. Adding tax, you can get one for about $11, and you get your entree, rice, and a choice of a side. For my side I get the egg roll. Thank you China Express for the great meals!

China Express blows Panda Express out of the water..food is always great with lots of flavor! Customer service is amazing and friendly! I recommend the garlic chicken with Lo mein noodles!

This place is pretty good for a take out Chinese joint. I’m not from the area, but I would definitely recommend this if you want some good take out. Customer service was great as well.

Just ordered and did not get any sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken. Ridiculous to pay the prices and not even get the main item!

A good place for lunch or a quick dinner! Its mid level Chinese food for decent prices, and I have never had a negative experience. Easy parking and convenient location as well.

Im just reviewing the food. I ordered a vegetable fried rice. It was disgusting! Ive never had such terrible tasting fried rice. It was like it was cooked in pot leaves and a small toss of soy sauce to brown the rice and a bit of vegetable tossed in. The only way I ate some of it was due to the sweet and sour sauce which is how this got a one star rating. I have to chuck the rest of the rice out since I bought a large fried rice and a small sweet and sour sauce. I normally LOVE fried rice from aanywhere. Definitely not buying this places rice again. Yuck!

Seriously the best rice noodles iv ever had!!! They made them just the way I like them,there not drenched in a weird sauce like the other places Ive been definitely will be coming back to this place more this week!

Nasty! I ordered chicken chow mein and I ended up getting mushy vegetables and no noodles. Pretty sure chow mein means noodles and chicken... Not ordering from here. Ever! Yuck! 🤢

I had ask for mild and it was very spicy, and ask for no rice. And they gave me a lot of rice. Ask for extra vegetables for my orange chicken, and was told it would cost extra that was not a problem. Well all in all Im not happy. I WILL CONTINUE TO GO TO CHINA KITCHEN . Sorry but this is the 3rd time.

Food taste great but they are always in a rush and won’t listen to what you order. I got tofu and they made me a large chicken and wanted me to pay for a second order to get tofu.

Dining area is closed due to COVID-19. Plastic Is hanging from ceiling to floor, with a window to pass cash/change, but the Garlic chicken and fried rice is STILL a WINNER ❣️

This was the absolute worse fried rice I’ve ever had in my life. It was Stale, hard and BLAND! I had to drown it in 6-8 packets of soy sauce because it taste Like CARDBOARD

The lo mein was extremely slimy from how old it was. I wont order from here again. You should not be serving noodles that are so old theyve almost turned to mush. Love wasting my money on disgusting food.

The best Chinese food I have ever had!

My daughter and I ordered some food today.She got bourbon chicken and white rice, and it had pea pods in it. 🥺 I got chicken and sweet peas with veggies, and fried rice. It was 90% pea pods. And my fried rice tasted old, very old and dry. 😝 We wont order from here again.

Found a clump of hair in my food. Pretty grossed out and turned me off from eating here again

The adage of “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” applies here. Truly amazing and tasty chinese food. One note - their Sesame Chicken is spicy so you will have to ask for non spicy. Also their fried rice does not have onions which is a must in our household that is hard to find. Truly a “diamond in the rough”!!

Ordered from here tonight. Delivery was fast and delicious, a treat on Christmas eve. The only problem is my roommate answered the door, so I did not get to tip the driver. I wish he had let me know but he was being nice as I was bust. Ill make up for that the next time I order. Thank you!

I like the food, but they are very inconsistent. They will deliver to my house then when I plan on delivery for supper is about when they will randomly decided they don’t deliver to my house. Last time they did this I pointed out they have been delivering here up to less than a week ago. Then they said they don’t deliver very late. I called about 2 hours earlier than my last delivery. I asked when delivery times stop and he didn’t know. So it’s nice if you can get it but don’t plan for it because it’s a total toss up if they will even deliver to you, or if they will what time they will. It seems to be whatever the whim is that night.

Fair chinese food. Prices are okay. Service guy is usually over it, but they dont mess up orders usually.

DONT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWS. This place is horrible. I never write bad reviews but this place was that bad. The food didn’t taste like the dish I asked for, it was very sketchy inside, the cashiers/owner were rude. The place also didn’t look that clean. Don’t eat here. It’s cheap and fast but horrible.

They made my food exactly to how I wanted it! Plus for mixed vegetables, broccoli was included, & I love broccoli! They offer more food varieties. They are great people working at China Express.

Had their beef and vegetables tonight. Its now 2am and Im throwing up. Omg never eating here again.

Quick delivery but very bland food. We asked for the spiciest beef dish and they sent Mongolian . Their version had almost no spice or real flavor. The egg rolls were an ok texture, a little less than crispy, but again no real flavor. Its sort of what Id expect from a buffet where you have to spice everything yourself. We ate it, we were hungry.

Best Chinese takeout in Muncie. But you will definitely want to get takeout or delivery. Dining area is not very nice.

Its not gourmet to say the least, but the place is very nice to go to with a couple of friends and get some food. The food itself is very good, too.

The best Chinese food at Ball states campus! Friendly people. A lot of food for a good price and the staff is very friendly. 10/10 recommend. I love it here.

I dont joke about my chinese food, and this is a place Im never going to again. The white rice was pretty good! But the chicken made my mouth itch, and it tasted like panda express. If I wanted nasty chinese food I would go to panda express.

The food isnt any better than any of the Chinese restaurants that are around. It is pretty quick and close to campus, which is nice for me. There is a Chinese restaurant thats closer, though.

Great food, not too expensive, and normally very fast. The restaurant itself isnt much to look at, but Ill take awesome food over awesome decor any day.

Really good food, Im a student at Burris and me and my friends go here at least once a week. Good food with prices that students can afford.

Ive never eaten in, which is probably for the best considering the small dining area, but the take out is fast and the food is always good.

I know its not much to look at but Im a super picky Chinese eater and this place hasnt given me anything I dont like. Ive eaten there at least twice a semester since coming here and am going on my second time this month since moving off campus. The price is much better than going on campus. Its a bit dark inside, and doesnt look the nicest but I usually get delivery or to go so I dont worry about that. Ive only ever had nice service too, but usually I go in with a smile which Im sure helps.

The food is mehhh. I would not recommend it unless you are in a pinch for a Chinese fix. The service is super CRAPPY. Im not sure whether they hire stoners or just apathetic "workers" in general but you can tell that they do not give two sh*ts about their job or any customer service.

A group of friends and I went here during our lunch break at orientation. We were honestly a little scared when we walked in -- the place is dimly lit, not decorated, and the guy at the desk in front was fairly unfriendly-looking. I have a place similar at home, but there are paper decorations everywhere and its lit all day and the people who work there are always smiling. This place, not so. So we all ordered sesame chicken, two with fried rice and two with white rice, one in a to-go container, and two crab rangoon. It didnt take them very long to bring it to us (maybe 7-10 minutes to get it all out). However, they messed up and gave one of us fried rice instead of white. Whatever, that was okay. The food was really good! The sesame chicken is sort of spicy, but I didnt mind it. My friend said he did and had to go buy an extra soda (SIDE NOTE: the refrigerator is poorly stocked and not lit so we thought it was out of order). The crab rangoon was also really good. The sweet and sour sauce has more orange flavor than normal but I liked it.Summation: food is really good, so maybe order to go and never go near the restaurant because its scary, workers are scary, bring your own soda.

Food was terrible took them about 2 hours to deliver it. When it did arrive it was cold, so I called to complain and they did not want to fix the problem and where just totally rude. You have to be crazy to eat here.

The food isnt half bad, I eat there twice a month. The staff is the most annoyingly rude people i have ever met. If there was a way to order their food without talking to these people that would be amazing!

I cant give a 3 simply because I enjoy restaurant quality (PF Changs). This is your typical nice chinese fastfood location. Theyre service is wonderful. They remember your address and are quite prompt on delivery. They usually deliver minimum on time or moments before what they tell you. I always order the Small Orange Chicken and fried rice! Never fails. Theres not much you can bash on. Definitely worth your time.
