Chilliwack Tulip Festival (Tulips of the Valley) - Festival in Chilliwack, Canada
Chilliwack Tulip Festival (Tulips of the Valley) in Chilliwack
Description
We went during Sunflower festival. Sunflowers are gigantic. They have great areas/spots for taking beautiful pictures. We enjoy the games in the play area. There are also other kinds of beautiful flowers to see
MoreI love that they marking as LGBTQ friendly. They’re very friendly and really beautiful. The only issue I have people who are not following the rule walking in the field when sign said that do not walk in. Please if you see someone walking in the flowers tell them to stop.
MoreA great place will go every year 🌷
Loved this amazing view of countless tulips and other flowers. It brings the joy and freshness for upcoming summer days.
MoreThe Tulip Festival is an annual event around April/May.o ely to walk amo get the Tulips and daffodils. There are food trucks and airtke store that sells tulip bulbs. A good day out for sure.
MoreAlways a treat. Affected by last years floods. Good to see visitors supportive. Food trucks and gift shop add to the experience. Looking forward to the sunflower festival in the fall.
MoreIt was great here, the kids loved it.There was a lot of people trying to get their Instagram shots though.
MoreGreat place, very very busy. The place is fantastic with a great scenery all around with mountains in the distance. Lots of flower varieties and cool fixtures for photos. They also have a souvenir shop and mobile bathrooms.I would arrive at least 30 minutes before for the lineup to get in on time. Have fun!
MoreWent there on Monday of the last week and on their last day. Definitely recommend to not go on their last day or during weekends.I got a chances to go on cloudy/raining day on Monday and a sunny/cloudy i personally like the rainy Monday as you got the fogs and the tulips look more fresh.4* as theres nothing else that interesting aside from the flower fields, the small shop for the souvenir also not really appealing.
MoreGreat place to visit to walk around and check some pretty blooms. Though I went expecting to be wowed by Tulips, the daffodils were the pretty ones. Maybe because I visited in the last week of April. The paths were muddy and slippery after fresh rain, and the flowers at the edges were downright droopy.
MoreExtremely crowded, tulips were mostly dead. Definitely not worth $25 entrance fees to walk in between them.
MoreIts a vast field with lots of tulips from different colours. The tulips and daffodils are nice and worth seeing definitely, but the field maintenance and how it is managed is far less interesting!! When you enter the field you will notice that there are some temporary portable washrooms to the left, instead of a permanent building that had to be there for a place with this high number of visitors in Spring and Summer! When you enter the pathways between the tulip 🌷 fields you will easily set back by foul-smelling stink of mud and mire in uneven and unpaved pathways that cause hurdle for the visitors to pass at some points!! The owners could easily pave the pathways with gravel to get rid of this uneven path and mud for the visitors convenience at least, if not their owns.
MoreAmbrosial ... Pleasing ... Appealing 🌷A great visit on a sunny day. Tickets were booked online prior to our visit. If not booked already, you can buy tickets onsite as well. You will get some discounted tickets if you book online.Gets crowded over the weekend.Huge parking space available with guiders guiding available with signs and directions.Great photo spots like old bikes, rusty car, windmill, big shoe, different style of swings to get some picturesque pics.Dont wear fancy shoes, it gets muddy.
MoreYou literally pay for dead tulips. So disappointed to drive one hour to see these! The manager knew about all these, yet they still charge people for the full price.
MoreVery friendly staff and stunning scenery, great place to take pictures for lifetime memories
MoreWent here on a rainy day. But it was still enjoyable. Worth every penny.
The place is incredibly beautiful, super organized!!My advice is buy your ticket before so you dont need to get a big line there, and go with a shoes that can get dirty.
MoreGreat place to be for a family outing, and lots of photo ops! Make sure to book your tickets online for a discount, being a pair of shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy, and charge up your camera for taking lots of photos. There are lots of visitors, but the field is large enough for everyone to find a few perfect spots to take photos.
MoreA nature photographers dream - a flower enthusiasts home... and social media enthusiasts to influences to wannabes can all spend the day clicking fantastic pictures and videos for their reels, posts, and stories 😉There are also a few food trucks that offer semi decent food. On a sunny day, picnic lunch is definitely on the books. A few rides for kids. Worth a springtime visit.
MoreNice to walk around and take some pictures. Approximately spend an hour is enough.
MorePretty, amazing, very nice place for taking pictures!
Fabulous… Adorable… Amazing…BeautifulMy family planned to visit this place on this Sunday.Ticket was booked online before one day, all slots are full till 3:00 pm but we got 04:00 pm slot. Discount of around $5 will be grabbed on advance online booking. Adult cost is $20 & child is $12 for online.Location is on the main highway 1 on Chilliwack.Huge parking with guiders are available with sign 🪧 & direction for vehicles.Lot of rush but nicely managing by authorities.Small line up in queue & entered in amazing world of flowers. No words for expression of feelings, photos will be awesome memories with props at regular distances.1-2 hrs are easily spent inside area.Washrooms & refreshments with food trucks are also available inside premises.Highly highly recommended to everybody. 👍
MoreAmazing tulip fields. Get the tickets in advance and you will avoid a line. I went on Sunday and it was crowded. If you want better pictures with less people go in a weekday. There is parking at the venue which makes a great difference.
MoreBeautiful place well kept and had props that takes you down the memory lane. Nice gift shop and also has food trucks.
MoreThis was the most beautiful experience. The place was super beautiful, even the tickets there was not at all expensive, clicked soo many pictures that I cant stop looking at. Its a must visit event🌷😍
MoreSo beautifulSpecial event from April to MayPurchase online in advance is highly recommendedIts very busy during weekend
MoreThe tulip festival is was definitely something worth to visit Or when you have visitors coming to Vancouver it’s something worth the drive all the way to chilliwack . They also have food trucks parked so you can buy some food while you are there . I suggest to definitely buy tickets online otherwise you will be standing in a very long lineup once you get there to buy them at the entrance .
MoreVery beautiful but I personally think a bit pricey for the size of the field, a bit overcrowded on a weekend (hard to find a place to take photos without other visitors)
MoreBeautiful Garden. Must visit place in chilliwack to enjoy the flowers and nice pictures.
MoreGreat place for pictures, I will recommend to avoid weekends because it gets pretty crowded. They have a few spots for nice pictures.
MorePretty place. Beautiful tulips. Well managed parking lot. Felt that tulips pot which was for sale was very cheap. Variety of properties to take awesome pics.
MoreMy first time visiting the tulip farm. It’s absolutely stunning to see it in person! 🌸😍
MoreLovely place~~~ 😍 I want to return every year :)
Beautiful selection of flowers, amazing intensity. They were affected by the recent floods but still a beautiful scene with lots of photo opportunities and props to work with.
MoreA great visit on a cloudy day. The day we visited had perfect weather as the ground was dry, not too cold, not too hot and not windy. We arrived before 11am and got our ticket booked in advanced already. The line of entrance was not too bad and all staffs were friendly. I would suggest to wear water boots as there are muddy places as you walk around. They have put up decorations for photo opportunities in various places. The benches were especially helpful for short rest. Two food trucks were there if you need a coffee or a quick meal. The shop was nice with various tulip buds and souvenirs too.Dogs on leash are welcomed 😊👍🏻🐶
MoreI wont recommend this tour if youre not live close or a web celebrity. 13CAD ticket is ok but take a long trip to have a quick peek is another story. It is a bad idea to drive from Vancouver to this garden, 200 KM now costs 40CAD on gas, and Im pretty sure you can have a wonderful 4 hrs and find more fun by spending 50CAD in a downtown coffee shop.Yes they have a lots of tulip and looks great, but thats all, nothing else. Nothing to play with except these flowers, even the gift shop is small & dark ~ with some cheap souvenirs. You wont feel chilling wind & muds & strange smells from those beautiful pictures, so the best choice is sitting in your couch at home, having a cup of hot chocolate, download those pictures from Instagram celebrities, and pretending you have been there.
MoreIt was our first time visiting and it was so beautiful 😍
This event is one of the most awaited one but somehow in the past few years the volume of the flowers has gone down. However this year the swing for photoshoot, food trucks, kids play area and some junk tractors were few good points for families with kids.Flowers like daffodils were equally beautiful.Me as a family person with kids could say the outdoor games at the small playground like- Jenga game ,Bean toss etc were really life saviour. We went on long weekend so the ticket price was reeeaaaalllyyyy high-$25/ adult$18/kid and 65+yoBased on the ticket the washrooms were pathetic.Definitely spending few hours there mostly everyone uses it but the maintenance/cleaning part was really bad.Overall the trip was good.Being a flower lover somehow the beautiful Tulips attracts me every year and enjoyed taking lot of pictures for my instagram account.
MoreFirst of all get a ticket online to save your time and money cause when you buy in-site you have to wait long line up and pay for regular admission. The parking is free and lots of space. We went there in a nice sunny weather and it was busy! But no complain as they have big area to take a photo and also we notice some parts of the tulips is still new so better to take a photo in the back side. They also have a washroom to use,And food to buy if you get hungry.Over all it was worth what you pay to take a lots of good photo with tulips, daffodils, and hyacintus. Also they have lots of bench and swing and farm truck to use to take a photo but you have to line up to get a chance to take a photo.
MoreBeautiful Tulip flowers and Daffodils all over. Perfect place for professional pictures.
MoreI like this place. Home of spring. Very peaceful place.Made me happy and calm. I took very fantastic pics there.before going there check the weather forecast. It would not be joyful when its raining.
MoreWe were here in spring 2022 and we enjoyed it a lot! The online purchase was hassle-free and saved us some time avoiding the line. We were mesmerized by the colours and beauty of tulips. There were some rows of daffodils too. Should I even mention the fragrant smell of flowers in this place?!Great location to take colourful photos and make amazing memories. There was only a negative side, a moldy smell when passing the large barn. I am not sure what was it but I think it should be taken care of soon.
MoreWell organized place. We went today on Easter weekend and though it’s considered packed, everything was such a wonderful experience.Do go all the way inside (far right of the entire fieldto avoid the crowd right after the entrance. Well, just because people tend to make the very first crowded stop!Bathrooms are portable so expect some yuck and ewww.
MoreIt was beautiful. Recommended to go there early morning before 10am. Discounted price if you buy online a day ahead your trip.
MoreThis is a great place if you dont wish to drive far or across the border. The best way to know whats happening is to keep checking their instagram and facebook page for updates. We went on a long weekend and it was time well spent. The parking is well managed so thats not an issue.Get your tickets online to avoid the line up or rush also that an economical option.
MoreVisited the fields the other day when it was sunny! Fields were not fully planted with Tulips yet. It was nice for photo ops but some are not yet in bloom.
MoreGood first time visit. Felt little repetitive the next time. Overall a good place the experience spring
MoreFeatures of Chilliwack Tulips for future visits-1. Beautiful vast beds of tulips.2. Lots of swings.3. Choices of props for pictures- Benches, rustic car, bikes, tractor, high posts and many more!4. Washrooms with “hand washing” stations,5. Tulip shop6. Food van, fast & tasty treats!7. Social distancing.8. Constant supervision on visitors to maintain the guidelines of the valley.9. Disinfectant sprays on swings & commonly touched spaces.10. Lots of scope to get pictures without people popping at the back!
MoreUpdate:A little bit disappointed. 3 years ago we’ve visited the tulips and it’s amazingly big. The stems are taller and more dense. 2 years ago we’ve visited the sun flower and it’s also fascinating. I don’t know if it’s because of the Covid but it didn’t feel that it’s the same beautiful tulip fields from last time.Huge flower farm with beautiful scenery. A long sunflower walkthrough. The pathways and arrangements is highly organized. Take your time taking photos, theres a lot of free spots you can take good shots. Buy your tickets online you will save $5 and no line up. Theres a big free parking with guides.
MoreFlowers are in full bloom. We had so much fun taking photos. There are different spots like old bike, rusty car, mini church and windmill to add drama to photos. Don’t forget dropping at the farm shop to get souvenir, flowers, or seeds. I got a magnet metal bicycle as a souvenir.I gave only 4 stars because my complain is the stems of the flowers are short unlike the Abbotsford tulip festival I visited before, otherwise it was a fun experience for me and my kids.
