The dinner box was really good and the Tuesday special offers.I was very happy and the food was great you have to try it if you are in Limerick city

Tried this place on a whim after looking up places to eat in Limerick. The chicken was probably some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had (yes, better than Publix, if any Florida friends are reading this). Im so glad this place doesnt exist in the US, because I would mainline that gravy three times a day until it put me into an early grave.Anyway, check it out if youre in Limerick.

Superb food. Quick and good value.Maybe bigger chicken pieces maybe but you cant have everything

I give this four stars as my wife would literally eat "the hut" off the floor. She loves it. Im not that gone on it to be honest

Stopped off there after driving home late on Saturday Service was horrible . Ordered a dinner box with wings. She put a can of coke on counter. I asked what that it was for because I don’t drink coke she said I get a free drink so I asked for water .when I got my food I asked was it wings and they said yes. We drove home it was thighs and the smallest amount of overcooked chips. Nothing tasted good

Passing through limerick and stopped in after hearing the Blindboy episode about it. Tasty chicken and the gravy is really nice. I wouldn’t go on a pilgrimage for it, but if I was in limerick again, would definitely stop by.

Absolutely ridiculous that a paying customer is refused access to the toilet facilities after a certain time being told to use the facilities of restaurants across the road

Wonderful gravy! Chips were tasty. I enjoyed the chicken, but the gravy is what I’ll remember most. Thank you Blindboy for making an episode about this place and telling its origin story. They have the original Colonel Sanders chicken recipe as it was intended! Takeaway only due to COVID, so I found a public bench and ate it with the wind blowing in my face. Shoved forkfuls of chips into my mouth in pure delight, even got a few honks from passerby’s. Very memorable culinary experience!

Drove up from cork after hearing blindboy’s podcast. I wasn’t disappointed!!! Fillet burger was nice, chips and gravy was savage (and I’m not a fan of chips & gravy!!!and the fork wasn’t in the bag you gowl….One thing blindboy got wrong was the comparison to hillbillies in cork. Hillbillies breast in a bun is far superior, but still I wasn’t disappointed at all and was worth the trip.

Passing through Limerick and remembered this place from the blindboy podcast. Apparently the recipe has some connection to the original Colonel recipe. My experience: The gravy with the super chip is definitely way better than KFC. The chicken was better too. No question. The crows must be addicted to the superchip from nights out. Never have I ever got so close to a crow. The proof of taste is in the crows of limerick city.

Just collected my food, came across two people sitting inside the chicken hut on the window ledge talking with no masks on and also smoking inside!!! what a joke!!

A favourite to the people of limerick and to me. The food here is quite addictive and very competitive with the price. If you hit the town for a night out with your friends or family and venture up here at the right time youll see the queue flooding out the door and the staff working hard as always to accommodate everyone. The one thing Im not too fond of here is the portions could be a bit bigger other than that its all aces.

Visited Chicken Hut with my partners family while visiting other family in Limerick. For weeks, months and years I had heard them talk of Chicken Hut and the fabled gravy that they serve.I wont deny that the food was delicious, but I will admit that I was still slightly underwhelmed by it. The gravy was a very thick, almost chunky texture but without the expected burst of flavour to balance that.That is not to say that Chicken Hut isnt completely worth a visit, it just isnt somewhere I would immediately jump at the chance to go to

you CANNOT visit limerick or call yourself a limerick without going to chicken hut. not only is it a staple but it never disappoints. i would 100% fly home from the netherlands just for a super chip and fillet burger (maybe some cheeky tenders toothe gravy is a godsend and i would very happily consume it through IVyurt.

I dont know what people see there. Curry SOS didnt even stand next to curry. For me portions were small . My girlfriend said been there but never come back . 3 🌟 because of the stuff working there

Thank you to the taxi driver who showed me to Chicken hut at 2am Thursday morning after my son was discharged from A&E, I have never seen my son eat so much chicken so fast, the chips were beautiful & I have heard that the gravy is a must although we didnt try it, security on the door made us feel safe. We will definitely be eating here again & will recommend to any one else wanting to eat in Limerick City 5stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Proper Limerick fast food joint. Quick service. Eat in or take out. Seats and toilets on site. Recommend a super snack box, 2pieces of chicken and chips with their very own special gravy over the chips. Nice little kick of flavour

What can I say? The gravy is daycent! (Decent!One of the most popular chicken fast-food outlets in Limerick.

The place isnt the biggest hence it gets a bit crowded at times but the food is real value for money and the chicken here is delicious. Also, theyre usually open until late at night.

Chicken really needed to be cooked a bit longer. The coating wasnt crispy, and the chicken wasnt piping hot. Chips were nice though, and so was the service. FYI - They only accept cash. Little inconvenient; a sign on the door/window would be very helpful.

The super chips, OMG, most delicious gravy on the planet. The chicken is tasty too. Often lots of interesting characters in here and youd want to be a bit pissed but its a great spot for the end of a night out. No where else Id go after a good couple of pints for food.

Even tho this place turns into a cattle mart or as I calk it.. The backstage of the Jeremy Kyle show! The chicken hut is an institution in Limerick city. Youll never taste better! Writing this makes me want to call in now! Make sure you get a large gravy

I love the chicken here and dont get me started on the gravy, its amazing. This is my go to place after a few pints when on a night out in Limerick.

Where is the rest of the meal I ordered. Stole money from me for bland eftpos and I only got half what I ordered. Even if drunk,.. Avoid. Best thing was the amazingly personable security, probably because he knew I would be back to complain. 3rd world bullshit 4.5/10
