Chicken Express in Kingsville

Food is good but the service, not so much. I ordered 8pc with family okra and fries. We waited about 10 minutes. We got our food and no okra. So we asked "wheres the okra?" She said I didnt charge you for it. Well, we ordered it. She said theres a line of cars. So go around and go through again to order it. So in order for us to get what we ordered, we would need to go through the whole process again. SMH So it was a toss up, cold chicken or hot okra. So needless to say, that will be our last (this was our firstvisit to Chicken Express. Thanks, but Ill pass.-1 star for time-1 star for prices-1 star for serviceWe paid $34 for our partial order.

I have never had a bad experience until today. I went during lunch and when I got back to work to get ready to eat. My chicken looked old and was cold and my roll was too. My tea had no ice and was warm. If I had more time during lunch I would have taken my food back and got a refund.

The worst chicken I have ever had. Burnt grease just nasty.

Don’t want to go back! First of all we waited a very long time at the window for our food as well when we got our food we were NOT impressed. I order a biscuit and received a pathetic piece of a roll . In the box I didn’t even get a liner for my food and looks very unappetizing. The staff was sloppy and lazy with our food. Next time , we will stop somewhere else for our chicken .

The gizards are cooked perfectly and have a very good flavor, wings are super delicious and crispy. Bread is super soft and delicious plus tea is also very good. Staff is always helpful and service is fast

Bought a gallon of sweet tea today 7/14/22 about 1400 hours, and got back to work opened it and it tastes bad, like the taste when tea has sat to long and is going bad, usually its pretty good but not this time, buyer beware.

This is more of a suggestion. I love me some Chicken Express while I was living in Dallas / Fort Worth. We moved to Combes, Tx which is just and exit or two from Harlingen, Tx in the Rio Grande Valley. My suggestion is can someone build a Chicken Express in my location? You wont have much competition at all. The usual places like KFC and Churchs, (I never go to them because its bad). Owners or Corporation please come on down. Theres enough people here and to also to expand. Anyway I hope someone reads this.

I love coming to this location when I want a randomized order. 4/5 times this place will give you a quarter of your order completely at their discretion. Yet still be unable to understand what exactly is on the menu. Well done.

Absolutely horrible customer service and the hours on line do not match the store hours. So disappointed thru should really get some training from the chicken express up in Fort Worth area. Y’all need to do better

This place has the best chicken tenders that I have ever tasted. They are flavorful, tender and delicious. The atmosphere is also welcoming.

First time at chicken express wasn’t sure what to get, The night manager Britney was a lot of help she recommended gizzards and I love gizzards and these were very fresh and hot!! Very clean establishment and employees were very polite! I will definitely be going back😍 this establishment gets my five stars !

I was in drivethru ne for a very long time behind a vehicle.they could have moved him up instead of making me and alot of cars behind me waiting .I was very disappointed with the extremely long wait .this was the night shift on October 6 2021.i saw drinks on a counter while I was waiting and when it was my turn they were Watered down from being there on counter while I had waited behind the other vehicle in front of me .fries were cold .so my guess our orders were ready for a while but we didnt get them till the car in front of us got their order .isnt the night manager doing their job to be on top of this ?????

The staff is very friendly and the establishment is really clean. I love that they have fried okra and fried pickles and fried corn. The fish there is really good the chicken is good too.

Wrost chicken express I ever been too! Hows fast food restaurant when i waiting 20 minutes at drive-through no one took my orders wasted my 30 minutes lunch break

Was quite disappointed and perhaps not likely to return again. Drivethru speaker was broken so drove up to the window. Greeting? "What do you want?" and that was literally all. No please, no thank you, no youre welcome, no come again, just an annoyed look on her face. Jug of sweet tea was sticky. Food was a disappointment as well.

I went 3 days ago and not only did i get charged incorrectly by the cashier, I also didnt receive any food or a refund after emailing the owner. I still havent received any response so I guess this is the only way to get their attention. UPDATE: its been almost a week with no email response and after calling (to no response, no one picking upits clear to me that they intend to just scam me and never refund me for food i never received. Ill never revisit them at this point, not worth the trouble, which is a shame cause the foods not bad.

Always get their tea, 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet. Tried the fish snack box and the fish was Delicious😋.

Service is definitely a plus here & food is delicious. Dining n is recommended. Its quiet & clean & definitely friendly. I njoy the giblets, fried fish & of course the fried chicken. Drinks r a fair price & above all, the taste, temperature of food r a plus. I highly recommend.

Food is good. Sometimes they throw in a fee extra strips. Which is good because some places consider a nugget a strip.

Chicken Express was great as usual. I tried the chicken wing special it was great the service was great and my favorite sweet tea was great.

This is the second instance of bad service and rudeness at this location. Today while my wife was ordering for us the lady taking our order was not paying attention. My wife had to keep repeating herself. The lady asked if we needed anything else. My wife said, "Uhm..." and before she could finish her thought we were told our total and to go to the window. We left immediately. This place was great when it opened and now has gone downhill fast.

Very good chicken, tastes very good, as an african guy I dont really like american food, but chicken Express is just so good, and their customer service in kingsville Texas is wonderful.

Chicken Express in my eyes isnt bad. The size of their pieces of chicken reminds me of Flintstones. The prices are better than Popeyes. My only issue with Chicken Express is the sweet tea. Its ultra sweet. It actually made my teeth hurt. Thats the only reason I didnt give you guys 5 stars. Other than that, Id recommend Chicken Express to anyone.

I went inside order tenders to go food was cold the only thing that was hot was the extra I order the corn nuggets oh and gravy Im glad that was hot because I dip my tenders in it and also then need to check the size of the tenders a little to small a size of a credit card then could have given me a extra for them being that small

One of the better fast food chicken places. Very crispy batter, great fried chicken livers, good cream gravy. Beats out Churchs and Zaxbys. Also a better veggie selection - killer black-eyed peas.

Stopped here a few months after opening, used to the location in Portland. Not my favorite but I wanted something aside from Popeyes. found a roll with a baby roach baked in on the bottom. come on Kingsville...

Getting really annoyed lately with getting a $2 side of mashed potatoes that’s barely half full when you order it with no gravy. Tonight someone very obviously scrapped the gravy off the top leaving literally 2 mouthfuls of potatoes. Wish I could attach a picture. Seriously quitting eating here for awhile. Service has gone downhill since opening.

I work for Chicken Express in Baytown Texas. My husband went to Kingsville to work on a job. He went to the one in Kingsville and called me and told me to tell my boss about the service he received at this location. I explained to him it was a different owners. So, with that said he said the employees were rude and acted like they didnt care, his order was wrong and the food was cold.

If you want a nice change in food and fried chicken or fish is "in order"...then give Chicken Express a try. Its a new very nice change in fried chicken...and the corn meal fried fish is great too!!! The restraunt is clean and service is prompt...try them!!!

First time visiting food was good...I had the gizzards and my kids had the chicken stripes... the only down side is the floor is very slippery... I slipped and fell the manager didnt come out to see if I was ok or not

This is the first time I visited your store. I have always told my children and grandchildren to say 3 positives before a negative: (1the store was clean, (2did not have a long wait, (3polite employees... OKAY the negative... I order the express fish plate.. I told the cashier I wanted OKRA, she even turned around and said OKRA, but I didnt check my order till I got back to work.. NO OKRA... but french fries. If I had wanted french fries, I would have not asked for OKRA!

Finally made it to this place! Ordered fish fillet dinner plate.....portion was good but fish extremelt dry so ordered a chicken wing which turned out to be "old" ... The biscuit was very cold....I did enjoy the sweet tea and the cole slaw! My husband who os not at all a pucky eater also did not like the fish...he enjoyed the corn and okra!So for $22 we ate okra...corn...cole slaw and drinks!

My husband & I decided to check out our brand new Chicken Express today for lunch here in Kingsville, Texas. He went inside to pick up our take out because the drive thru line was long with so many coming to try the new restaurant in town. We were very pleased. We had dark meat chicken, cooked just right. The french fries & okra were crispy and the macaroni & cheese was creamy. We received rolls & biscuits. The rolls were very good & the biscuits look great. Too full to try. Think Ill save mine for breakfast. The food was all very good, cooked just right. Everything was crisp that should have been, not over battered or over seasoned. We were very pleased & look forward to enjoying this experience over & over for years to come. Happy for Kingsville, the owners & those who will manage & work the store.
