Good portion size has drastically decreased. Recently If you dont order in Spanish they mess up your order. Ive Recently stayed away due to those issues.

We Was very disappointed with the customer service 😒. I order a take out and where I got home .The food had spoil Avocado 🥑 in top off the food. Black all over the food . I know it was not the owners fault. But the help has got to go . She offer me to change the avocado not the Whole plate. So the whole plate where to the garbage. No credit

Food is good. WARNING! DO NOT ORDER THE CAKE. They charge you $6 for a candle and $6 for the cake. The candle turned off right when they put it on the table. Go to the 99cent store and buy a packet of the candles they give you for $2 and you have candles for many birthdays.

Ive ordered from this restaurant about 5 or 6 times and have always taken the food for take out and Ive been satisfied with the food and the flavor. Today I ordered for take out again and was excited to eat. When I got home I was utterly disappointed, the food was bland and tasteless. I ordered the Bandeja, Jalea, and Empanadas. The only food that had taste was the empanadas. No salt or flavor added to any of the dishes. Even the rice and the beans were tasteless. Very disappointed with our take out order today.

Went in for a quick lunch and it was delicious . My mom and I shared the bandeja coop which was a mix of everything and a side of tostones. Everything was super tasty.

The food has a great taste but the ambiance was not that great the music was to loud and was not that great there were other clients the were really loud also and the staff lady she was like tired or so not sure she treat us fine but i think she needs to get better

Excellent service. The owner went above and beyond to deliver my food when my Uber driver couldn’t pick it up. I thought I was going to starve but thanks to him I got to eat the best Colombian food. Excellent and nice communicative staff as well. I’m a regular and they have not disappointed

Having lived in Bogotá for over a year, I wasn’t expecting too much from a restaurant abroad. Who told me to be so silly? I was simply blown away by how good the food is— even better than what I’ve eaten in some places IN COLOMBIA. Unbelievable. And we only got a few appetisers/sides! The service was great, and the prices aren’t too bad, either.I personally *highly* recommend the beef empanadas, as well as their ‘picante’ and chimichurri sauces. I’m soooo looking forward to my next visit! 🤩

Amazing!!!! Their chicken soup is amazing!! Excellent!!! Served with white rice, salad and side of plantains. Its my favorite. Im not even a soup person but this soup here.....out of this world. Service is also good and strong drinks.

Ordered for lunch min $20 for delivery no problem. The chicken was burned to chrisp. LITERALLY SO DRY. The fries were okay.

Great place, my kids love the food here, the weekends are awesome with Karaoke, the margaritas the make are amazing, you most try them if you stop by. The food its always great, very colombian flavor. The amount of food the serve its great I love it. If you want to have a good time come on Fridays, the have a singer. He is amazing. Thank you guys.

My boyfriend and I went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Upon entering, the waitstaff just points to a table and you seat yourself. Not very professional. We ordered drinks which was very good, however the margaritas are too sweet. The passion fruit mojito so good though! We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was terrible; no seasoning or flavor and it was extremely oily. It was like they just put it on the plate straight from the fryer without letting the oil drain first. Besides that, I absolutely loved the garlic prawns, the sauce is so flavorful. They have pretty good sized portions. I would visit again but maybe try other appetizers.

Ive been tired of eating the same old dinners for a while. Last night we decided to try something new. Chicken Coop is just what I was looking for. I couldnt be happier with this place. The food was excellent and the portions were large. I have heard people rave about this place and now I know why. Chicken Coop will definitely be a regular spot for us.

Nice place and really good food, customer service was fantastic, the greatest of this place is the people who works there. It was not to busy when I went there but still my food was delicious and quick. I am definitely coming back in july when i will be back in NYC.

Yummmyyy!!! I went in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, it was empty which was great for me. I ordered a mango margarita (not picturedon the rocks with salt and it was absolutely delicious!! I started with tostones (not picturedwhich was 4 nice size plantain slice, very light and delicious. Main course I ordered the fried seafood platter (picturedit has shrimp, calamari, yuca, and snapper (I didn’t get snapper, which was fine because the platter is enough to share for 2 or 3 people). I added a coconut margarita (picturedand it was just as amazing. The sauces (picturedwere really good; green spicy sauce, dressing, spicy pickle, and chimichurri they all went good with my tostones. Service was a bit slow but the waitress was attentive. Would go back and would recommend!

Went here on Sunday for some lunch and the wait and service left nothing much to be desired. Granted the establishment was full, and that contributed to the long wait for food. However while finishing up, the owner or manager, started clearing up the table, asking if she could take the empty plates. I said sure, but then but she kept coming back hastily and signaling to the servers to hurry to clean up the table because as it turned out she wanted to seat some other customers at the corner booth area. This is usually the spot she would sit with individuals she is familiar with but it was so obvious and rude. I get it, you want to sit the next customer or your friends rather, but when its becoming borderline rude and disrespectful, with the server hanging around as youre signing check, its not a reflection of valuing all customers. Im actually surprised the table wasnt sprayed with us siting there, because that was next.. Where was all this fast and hurrily service when I was waiting for a while to be served and get my food. On top of that, when I asked for a bag for my take away, she tried to say she didnt have any. So I said uhmm, 😏 you mean those bags that youre giving take out in. Then she says they are not suppose to, if I want a paper bag for 50 cents...😒😒. Then maraciuosly, she provided a bag. We know plastic is banned , but not in the case of prepared food. Maybe today she was under pressure, but I wont be back to find out.

This place was recommended to me by at least 3 other people in passing conversations. My first time there, I was so delighted by the food and the environment, I think I left speaking fluent Spanish, lolz. The staff was very friendly too. My husband and I like that they deliver, we are happily fat now.

Went for lunch here and didn’t have a problem the waitress was very nice and made the experience better...fish was very good with the plantains and the liquor drinks are pretty good also i had no complaints

This is a really good spot if your in valley stream area for drinks, especially the caprinhas and they have happy hour. If your ordering dinner, entree portions are pretty big. Food is tasty. I recommend stopping by.

This place use to be one of my favorite Latin cuisine spots in Valley Stream. Although the dining-in experience may hold up to its reviews, the pick up and delivery aspect of the business does not. The pick up/ delivery portions aren’t the amount you would get dining-in. Neither is the quality of food or service. I just ordered a couple of platos for pick up and once I got home, I realized they forgot the chicken for one of my dishes. Upon calling and making them aware of THEIR MISTAKE, I was told they would “try” to deliver it to me. It’s been 1 hour since my phone call and still no chicken. I just called back and spoke to the supervisor. Told her about my ordeal and she said, and I quote “ well the delivery SHOULD be on its way. I don’t see the chicken here so I’m GUESSING the delivery guy took it” lol SHOULD? GUESSING? Being a business that serves food, shouldn’t you KNOW where your product and employees are? So, if you are thinking about picking up or calling for delivery, please be aware that the customer service is the opposite of good. Get it together Chicken Coop

This is an excellent restaurant! The staff are awesome. The food is really great and you get generous portions. The meal pictured only cost $15 and I had more than enough. It is a great place to go with family and friends. You can get a $100 platter that can feed up to 10 people.

Been there a few times it is getting worst last time we went was for Father’s Day a party of 12. Service was bad The food was horrible it was dry and stale. Potato’s were reheated and totally dry. The arepas con queso dry and hard. it felt like chewing on a rover shoe. Very bad experience.

One more time the food, service, atmosphere at Chicken Coop was excellent! As usual, love their churrasco!! But above all...the service, they really know how to make you enjoy your experience there!! Thank you to all the staff

Excellent authentic Colombian cuisine! We went there for dinner and it was fabulous! The food was freshly prepared and the service was fast! Very big portions, too! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu!

Nice and clean restaurant follow Covid19 regulations waitters attentives food good taste only the advertising they put on there window are not in effect maybe in the future I was told the wine is not updated rhey dont have them only brought what ever they got well that was my experience this Sunday.

The best food I had in a while period. The music and the atmosphere created at the restaurant really brought me into a great mood. Not to mention the food was tasty and sweet, the bartender got my drinks out fast and I couldn’t resist going for more. I will definitely be returning this time with my whole family. ☺️

If I could give it 6 stars I would. Best authentic Colombian food in the county. I have been to many restaurants but none with this friendly, fast, and great service. Talking to my waitress was like talking to one of my friends, super friendly. Now the food hit it out of the park. Everything perfect from the sauces to the atmosphere. Dined outdoors tonight with live music. Drinks and appetizer took a long time to come. The server was friendly and apologized for the wait. The drinks and food were fabulous. The garlic shrimp was phenomenal. Cant wait to take my family back here to eat. I was glad to support our local restaurant and cant to go again. They thanked us for our patronage.

The service isnt good! You walk in and no one acknowledges you. They just extra for hot sauce- $5... Like what?! The food quality is definitely lacking flavor! The portions are not equal to other Colombian restaurants - small portions for extra bucks. First and last time!

First time here. The foods and services here are incredible. Love love love the chicken and steak! The salad were super fresh. We had a bottle of Petite Vedot. The temperature were on point, which is important for us. Highly recommended!

I went to watch El Classico, its nice that they have a projector to view the games. Usually the food is great but this time everything was extremely oily, I ordered fried food but it was definitely too oily. Otherwise this is a nice place if your looking for Colombian food and atmosphere. The service is always great, they are friendly and put the customers first.

I was out of town and really craving some Authentic Colombian food and decided to visit this restaurant. the server Adriana☆☆☆☆☆ was the Best she offered some of the best drink and explained the whole menu.... in other words The entire experience was fantastic! The service was amazing and the food and drinks were out of this world. I definitely would recommend anyone in the area to check them out and if I ever make it back to NY I will definitely eat there again! Five stars!

Its a good spot for a quick meal. The waiters are quite courteous and easy going it seems. He convinced me to have the fried fish. I ate half not because it was not good but because I had yuca fries, tostones, and salad and I filled up nicely. I have been here before and the restaurant looks like they have many take out orders. Being a Colombian place in Valley Stream is not easy but with word of mouth they should do ok. I recommend people do come here. The Modelo Negra beer was $4 and was nice and cold and they serve it with a frosted ice glass. It hit the spot perfectly. They keep the place clean and the food fresh. I think thats the recipe for return visits to this place. The other drinks were also $4. The skirt steak was plenty for 1 or 2 people and they served it with sweet plantains and arepa.
