Chia eatery in Dumaguete

I have not had any meals featuring Tex Mex type ingredients since I moved to Dumaguete over a month ago. I tried Chia Eatery after reading a review recommending to try the breakfast burrito and was intrigued because of the name and because coming from the USA believe it or not I love breakfast burritos. Now I am not sure what I had was truly a breakfast burrito but it doesnt change the fact that the food I was served was delicious. Everything they served on the plate was well prepared and very tasty. When I asked my brother in law who is born and raised in Dumaguete if he could bring me to Chia Eatery his immediate response was it was a health food restaurant and I think that is an apt description. I noticed the entire menu is plant based for the most part with only eggs as an exception and is carefully designed to appeal to health conscious diners. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu in the future.

All the staff where together in the kitchen gossiping about me during my whole lunch. I was sitting outside, I was the only customer and could hear everything. And also understand, because I am fluently enough in Bisaya. This is despicable and the most brutal thing you can do in social life.

Good, budget-friendly vegetarian food and friendly staff! :Definitely one of my go-to places to eat in the city, whether it be their breakfast burrito (upgrade for hash brownor any of their turmeric rice meals. :Great place for meeting up with friends or even solo dining / co-working (thanks to their high speed internet)!

You can get a tasty and filling vegetarian lunch (or dinner, theyre open till 8pm now!for between 100-200 pesos. Very worth the price!

This is a simple value eatery. I enjoyed the many little surprises that comes with eating at an eatery for the first time. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.I was eating outside and was somewhat distracted by the flies. The lazy dogs were well behaved.Portions were a reasonable size for the charge. Now being this was my first time here these were my first impressions.Will I be back? A defiant yes. My stomach seems to be fine with the food.

Ordered the Tex Mex and their Burrito which basically looked like the same thing but they were both delicious. We also ordered their veggie lumpia, mango and avocado shake which were pretty good also. Well definitely come back to try the different items in their menu. Staff was nice and friendly.

This was my second time trying their food. The first was dine-in and the second is delivery. It is really good to have a place around that serves healthy food and tastes good, too! My previous dine in the place was memorable but not totally in a good way. The place was the owners residence as well, I think. So, you dont get that eating out vibe much. Also, there were ants on the ground so we needed to transfer to another table. Regardless the place and the ants, their food is amazing!

I checked their IG account the foods look amazing.So I ordered their Vegan Burger and tried it for the first time. The taste is bland and the patty is too mushy that you cannot even enjoy eating your burger cos it breaks into pieces. I highly doubt the burger bun to consider vegan too. I also ordered their cream cheese, walnut and honey toast not even worth it for the price. The nuts on top of the toast looks like ordinary peanut. Im so disappointed! 👎Its cheap but sad to say the quality is poor!!!I guess you get what you pay for..

Good place with interesting healthy food. You can make your own combo with different ingredients. Chia mango blend is perfect!One bad thing that they open just until 2 pm.

Great place to get some healthy food! I went there with my friends and family. The service was good and the owner and the staff were very friendly. The food is something that you do not definitely yet as much in Dumaguete. I tried their veggie burger and it was good. I definitely recommend the place for a simple healthy meal and cozy place.

This place is located in a quiet subdivision, you get to dine under the trees as you enjoy the sounds of nature. Their food is amazing-always freshly made and served with a smile. To add to that, their prices are very affordable with meals as low as 45₱. The overall dining experience is just so lovely.
