Chez Stef's in Versailles

Probable one of the best meals Ive had in my trip. I ordered the chicken dish plus creme brulee. The waiter was nice and the food was amazing. Its walking distance to Versailles. I recommend going here instead of the overcrowded restaurants inside Versailles Palace.

Un nouveau restaurant qui a tout pour plaire. Hormis un peu dattente car submergé par son ouverture récente et son succès, les plats se suivent et se dégustent. Du raffinement, du goût, de laudace même et avec classe. Incontournable. A refaire au plus vite.

Nous avons déjeuné ici lors dune visite au château de Versailles et la nourriture était incroyablement savoureuse. La cuisine a gentiment envoyé quelques articles de dégustation, qui étaient délicieux. Encore plus délicieux étaient notre entrée, cocktail et nos plats. Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous ceux qui recherchent une cuisine française délicieuse et créative.

Un dîner et un service irréprochable, une cuisine de grande qualité. Cette petite équipe familiale mérite toute votre attention ! Merci pour ce bon moment.

A great place for dinner! Run by a young and friendly team. The food was delicious. I had the fish with yuzu caviar and risotto. The taste was uniquely well-balanced and delicate. The dessert was good as well. Highly recommended

Réouverture du restaurant la semaine précédente. La carte nétait pas à jour. Lentrée était excellente le cadre et laccueil aussi. Le service également. Mais la cuisine ne vaut pas le prix affiché. Le poisson était trop cuit. Le risotto navait pas une texture Savoureuse et on ne sentait pas les champignons. Pour le dessert panna cotta : il manquait de finesse. Le rapport qualité prix ny ai pas du tout.

Nous avons cru comprendre que le restaurant venait dacceuillir de nouveaux propriétaires. Le cadre est très agréable, le service chaleureux et les plats sont divins.Nous recommandons!

Excellent, un délice les plats ! Vraiment je garde cette adresse. Jai apprécié le fait davoir un choix soit viande soit poisson, choix restreint et ça se sent sur la cuisine car elle est soignée. Les sauces sont divines, le saumon était bien cuit et savoureux, léchine basse température à tomber par terre. Et nous avons terminé par le brookie, rien à dire. Je reviendrai en ayant un peu plus faim car je compte bien goûter des entrées la prochaine fois. En plus la déco est sympa, et le service chalereux.

Je suis certaine que la cuisine est délicieuse......cependant nous navons pas pu la goûter, en effet, hier nous étions là en balade touristique, nous avions réservé pour 19h....Arrivés à 18h25, sous la chaleur caniculaire, suffoquants à lextérieur,Une dame a ouvert la porte à 18h30 nous expliquant gentillement quils nouvrent pas avant 19h ......... sur la porte est écrit 18h30....Nous pensions, que, en attendant, on nous aurait installé sur les gros canapés sur le côté, pour patienter en fait, on était 5, on aurait payés double voir triples apéros, cétait pas un problème, .......ben non, on nous a laissé dehors sous la cagnard...... à mon sens, cest un manque humain pas sympathique, ni très commerçant du coup....Cest pas grave on été 100m plus loin dans un autre restaurant, chez Lazare ou cetait super bon et immédiatement accueillant super sympa, laisser deux gros billets....

Great service and food. We had salmon steak and veal. The salmon steak was one of the best we had. Veal was also great. Highly recommended.

Reading the reviews was enough to convince my boyfriend and I to check this place out. So glad we did. Simply amazing! We both ordered the sea bream… never tasted such a flavourful fish. I think this was my favourite restaurant while visiting Paris and Versailles. Lovely owners too :)

Highly recommend ! I found this gem thanks to the review of another traveler.. After Versailles, my friends and I took the brief walk to Chez Stef’s. Upon entering, it’s cozy, calming, and the smells were intoxicating! I had the sea bream and it was absolutely divine! The flavors complimented each other so well, I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or kiss the chef! Had an amazing pistachio & fruit dessert. The owners are so kind and humble -I hope you go as soon as you finish reading this. My friends and I were so impressed and our bellies were SO happy!

Impeccable service, good ambiance and the monkfish with risotto was the best Ive ever tasted!

If youre looking for authentic fabulous french food & wine come here! We stumbled upon this spot after a very long stressful travel day (its behind our Air BnB.it was the perfect end to our day today. We got to meet the chef & his wife (how cool!they were so kind, spoke great English and made an awesome team. Did I mention, some of the BEST french cuisine since our start in France a week ago? Come here! You wont regret it.

What a wonderful restaurant! Every mouthful is a delight with friendly and prompt service. As previous reviewers have said, the main course menu may be limited but when food tastes this good, that is not a problem. It was one of the most enjoyable meals we have ever had. I would highly recommend Chez Stef’s if you are in Versailles.

Fantastic place! Everything was great, the food, service and romantic atmosphere! Another great thing is s short menu. You wont need the long one, believe me :-)

Great food, informal environment and very welcoming hosts

We asked Steff(the girlif we can sit at the front of the resto then she answered us it’s already taken. Instead, she gave us a table all the way at the back of the restaurant event though the tables at the front are still available. We even heard her offering the front table to other customers. The food was okay bit the service was not.

Достойный ресторанчик. Маленькие, меньше десятка столов: один на 8-10чел, и по четыре стола на два и на 4 человека. Меню краткое: 4 стартера, 2 основных блюда 4 десерта. Есть хороший кофе, чай, винная карта. За время нашего ужина (мы были первыми в 19.00 и Стефани любезно усадила нас до ближайшего резерваресторан заполнился к 21.00 до отказа. Лучше бронировать заранее. Все что попробовали и стартеры и горячее и десерты - все было делишес. Ценник 140евро на двоих.

Just a few entry choices, but great. Plenty of good wine choices by glass.

Excellent food

Last night in France and this restaurant didnt disappoint. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Dessert was the house specialty cookie/brownie pie...amazing. The wait staff was extremely nice and very helpful. Spoke good English and went out of their way to make sure we understood the menu. Will definitely go there again if Im back in the area.

the cuisine was nice but expensive

Klein knus restaurant dat wordt gerund door een jong stel. Op de kaart staan een klein aantal simpele, maar smaakvolle gerechten. Helaas is de kaart niet in Engels beschikbaar wat het voor internationale gasten wat lastig maakt te kiezen. De gastvrouw werkt hard om iedereeen te bedienen, maar redt het niet op de piekmomenten. Een extra medewerker op drukke dagen zou geen overbodige luxe zijn.

LOVED this place! Very small menu that is always changing. The food was incredible. Would go back in a heartbeat! If you’re visiting Versailles, I think it’d be very difficult to find somewhere better for dinner.

Small cozy restaurant run by a team of two. Very small menu (4 starters and 2 mainsbut each dish we had was superb. Wine list similarly small but all very good. The service was excellent and very friendly, each dish was fully explained in French and English and you could tell there was a real passion for what they do. More suited to couples or adult groups, our daughter found the complexity of flavours a bit of a challenge but enjoyed it none the less. Personally, I loved it.

A lovely traditional French meal. True non touristic food. Not a huge selection, it that’s because the food is fresh. If you’re spending a day in Versailles this is a great place to stop and enjoy your repas.

Very lovely upscale, rustic interior (no al fresco). Charming waitress. The menu is limited but carefully selected to accommodate anyone. Similarly, the wine list is short but diverse and very accommodating. Perhaps a little more expensive than competitors but the price/quality ratio justifies the expense. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

On the positive side the food, wine choices and service were excellent. The grumbles would be just two choices of main course and no vegetarian starters or main course.

You need to book in advance. The best lamb Ive ever tasted!

Our waitress spoke perfect English and was generous enough to translate the menu for us. The basil foie gras was incredible. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Versailles.

Love the food and friendly staff whom spoke English really well. Food was amazing !! Kids friendly as well. Best pork terrine and veal I had ever. Great wine selection to go with dishes. Will definitely be back for more next in Versailles.

This is a nicely designed, simple French restaurant with a great wine selection and terrific food. Clearly a favourite with locals (always a good signwith a vibrant atmosphere. May be a bit pricy for the traveling student, but the quality of the meal is worth every penny.

Lovely little place not far from the Chateau. We are frequent guests. Keep going back.
