Lively, informal Mexican chain with a colorful, family-friendly setting plus tequilas & margaritas.
I looooove chevys! I’ve been coming here with family quite literally my whole entire life. Their queso is always so good and the corn cakes OH MY 🤤 last time I got the mixed fajitas with steak and pork! Would highly recommend the steak for sure. Definitely some solid Mexican food!!
An absolute favorite!! Food always fresh and very tasty.
Good food and service still. Generous portions. No more Happy Hour though 😕 Thats one of the main reasons we used to visit. Prices have gone up considerably.
Folks hate on chains but chevys always delivers. Food is fresh and very good service is friendly parking is convenient
Had a really great time with my wife tonight! The food was very good and the portions were massive. The waitress was really nice and since we ate at 6pm it was not crowded. We will definitely be back.
My waitress (Server/bartenderwas inattentive to me and the restaurant hardly had customers. The times I went to this specific Chevys before was during dinner 🍽 time and the service was phenomenal. I was there today, 10/19 between approximately 1:10 pm to 1:50 pm.I originally requested diced habaneros with my food and hot sauce. When the waitress brought my meal out, she forgot it. Okay, thats fine. People make mistakes. Then it took her 6 to 7 minutes to bring my diced habaneros and she forgot my hot sauce. She was so inattentive and displayed nonchalant behavior when interacting with ME. I was so dissatisfied with the customer service, I may not come to this Chevys restaurant- Annapolis, MD again.
They were out of lettuce so I couldnt get any salad (which was my first meal choice). Chips came less than 30 seconds before our food. Tortilla soup was so spicy I couldnt eat it and the tortillas had been in it so long they were soggy mush. Nachos were barely warm despite the tops of some of the chips being burnt. Husbands whole meal was cold and cold refried beans are gross. We didnt bother complaining to our waitress because she hadnt been very knowledgeable about menu items (like whats the difference between grilled chicken and salsa chickenand seemed teally new. We drove up from southern Virginia to spend the day at the Renaissance Faire and had made it a tradition to stop here before heading home, but after the high menu prices, disappointing service, and frankly terrible food it is unlikely we will come back here in the future.
This place still delivers great food. The chips and salsa are maybe the best in the Mexican food business. Light and crispy and the salsa has that subtle smoky hint to it. You really can’t go wrong at Chevy’s.
Good food and service just wish they would bring back the dough ball for the kids
Terrific Food and Service! We will definitely be back soon!
The food wasnt that great. The service wasnt good at all because we barely saw our server. It took us 10 minutes to get someone to take our drink order and the server took forever to get stuff. It was even busy. Very disappointed.
I LOVE the flan. The fish tacos are scrumptious. However, cant order for delivery!!!
Great place, we live 50 miles south and when in that area we always eat there.
The food was ok. I will say the restaurant really needs to dust cobwebs from decor that is hanging above seating in the restaurant.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience while dining in at Chevys Fresh Mex! Our server (Yeslywas amazing! Very attentive and friendly. So sorry if I misspelled your name. We both had the chicken & shrimp fajita! Very tasty and fulfilling. And the chips and salsa are so good! I highly recommend the frozen (strawberrymargaritas. Very good. Will definitely be returning!
Service was good but the food is mediocre. There are better options for some authentic Mexican in the area
In this picture I ordered chicken fajitas. Flavor was good but the portions were small. Presentation made the meat and veggies seem way more than it was. It taste pretty typical. Only thing that made this different was the corn paste. Ive only had this here and it taste like if you left the middle of cornbread undone. Overall not bad but it could have been more.
Waitress was great. Not much of a talker but was a hustler for sure. Food was okay. A little too bland & compared to other mexican restaurants in the area it was pretty expensive.
Great spot. Laid back. Friendly bartenders. Good portions at a fair price. I will be back soon.
Service is always good at this location. Outside seating is nice at this location. The margaritas are always good here.
Never understood all my childhood the many visits we attended around approximately 300 times but anywho everyone of those times I encountered my stubborn eating brother gets quesadilla I didn’t understand exactly why as my favorite was the a taste of every regain combo appetizer. But these day that farmers quesadilla Every-time I’ve come has been in my order for the last year and made to perfection!
Not as fresh or tasty in the past few months. We are long time Chevy’s customers and have greatly enjoyed their food in the past. But the last few times we. I sited Chevy’s the food is not as fresh or tasty as we are used to receiving. The chips taste like they were made in a factory somewhere and tasted bland. The salsa wasn’t as tasty. And the fish tacos tasted like they came out of the freezer and really didn’t taste good. We understand that food prices have gone up recently due to inflation. But until the food quality goes up, we don’t plan to visit Chevy’s and will visit nearby Mexican restaurants.
Fernando is a competent server. Food prepared quickly and served hot. Nice atmosphere for dining.
We went at 8PM Sunday night with a baseball team. 20+ people! The team were on point. Service was fast and thorough, the food was great.
Chevys is the Mexican restaurant that satisfies all the Tex-Mex cravings in Maryland. Each plate is generously portioned and the flavor combinations are complex and delicious. My favorite dish is the Laredo as it comes with a variety of options on one plate. The Mesquite-Grilled Tacos and the Fish Tacos are also tasty.
Good food, good service, good ambience. Great chips and dip. Wish there would be more vegetarian / vegan options, but I had the veggie fajita and it had a good mix of vegetables.
Got the pick 3 with Chile relleno, Chimichanga and flautas, so much food, enough for a leftover meal!! Delicious! Fried ice cream was amazing and plenty for 2 to split.
I had to give them this review because every single time they do not disappoint me. The Salmon Fajita is Great, customer Service they are quick and check up on you. I have gone to Mexican places but none beat Chevys with their chips and salsa. It is a must Go!
Visited this lovely restaurant after some Google search on way to home from Washington DC. We were 18 people and the manager and staff were very efficient to accommodate us despite being busy on a Saturday. As far as food and drinks, The Spicy Mango Margarita is most recommended and the Top Shelf Margarita as well. For non alcoholic Peach and Mango margarita is a way to go.Food was really good. Especially the Crab n Shrimp Enchiladas along with Vegetarian Enchiladas with Verde sauce is best. I had Grande Chimichanga which was a 3.5 star.Staff was very friendly and knew who ordered what for all 18 of us.Overall, will definitely recommend this place.
Went to meet up with old friends and Im glad we went here. The server was amazing, the manager was involved with the customers making sure the floor was good.Food was great and reasonably priced.Couldnt have asked for a better evening.
This time we got take out. My son has been making Chevys his birthday dinner location for the past 6 years. The food is great as well as the staff. This time I got the chicken fajitas and they were amazing.
Chevys is a great place to take our son and his family. Our granddaughters love the kids meals. We have been delighted by all of the menu items, especially the salsa chicken tostadas. And can resist the chips and salsa? The staff are always friendly and helpful.
What a great place. Colorful, inviting, staff is welcoming. I had the flautas appetizer and they were by far the best I’ve had anywhere. The chipotle sauce was excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re tired of the “same old” Mexican food and want something that is both authentic and yet distinctive.
I really like this place. Chevys is one of my FAVORITE restaurants. The service is super fast, and the food is immaculate. The chips and salsa are free, and incredibly delicious. You get an infinite number of them and if you want them for home you can order a pound and a pint. The guacamole is made in front of you so you can see how they make it so amazing. I usually get the steak tacos and it is the best tacos I have ever had. They give you a good amount of tacos and some other toppings. When it is your birthday they give you ice cream for your whole party and a sombrero. Overall this is an amazing restaurant.
Whoever the bartender was on Thursday night. 2/17/22 was very good and on point for having taking car of the bar are by herself. I’ve dined at plenty of restaurants that the bartender couldn’t even take care of 4 patrons at once at the bar top but she was able to handle the tables and bar top with no issues. Kudos to her. Come to this Chevys, not arundel mills
Wow! Haven’t been here in over a year but was pleasantly surprised to see they completely reinvented the carne asada plate. It was good before, but wow! Great service, great food, friendly atmosphere, what else can you ask for. Definitely recommend Chevy’s Annapolis over Uncle Julio’s.
Suzannes (bar tenderfeet never stopped. She took care of food and drink for all the patrons at the bar. She made sure the restaurant was fully hydrated as well. I give her five stars. Management?!?! Please adjust the soda guns, light on the syrup. Food was hot and tasty 😋.
This may be the best Chevys Ive ever dined at. The ladies who hand out the chips are ON IT. As soon as you sit down they are bringing chips and they clean up well too. General wait staff service is the only area where Id drop a star, it seems to fluctuate from getting everything quickly and correctly to not seeing the waiter for 20 minutes. Still though, Id highly recommend this location.
Very disappointed with our dinner tonight. This was our second time here and will be the last. Our server was attentive and that’s the only reason for the two star. My order was absolutely disgusting. The fact the word “fresh “ is on their sign should result in a citation from local law enforcement. The food was cold to the touch and I struggled to cut my Tamale…. My tamale had sat out long enough, I couldn’t cut it… my wife had the fajitas and also complained of cold food and the inability to cut her steak served with her meal. My toddlers frozen hamburger pattie was the best thing on the table…We literally took two bites of each thing and just called it quits and requested our check.
Excellent food great atmosphere and even better service. A great value
This is one my favorite restaurants. I have been coming to Chevys with my family for years! It is a clean, friendly, happy place to eat. There food is always on point, they never disappoint. I also love their rewards system. I tried there brunch for the first time and really loved it!
Food wasnt what I remembered from 10 years ago. Still enjoyed the experience. Chevys closed throughout the country with a few exceptions.
Customer service was friendly and on point with our server/bartender Stacy. And food was good!
The food was fantastic! Great prices! Fresh, hot, great!
Really good food, prices and service .
Legit Tex mex. the steak burrito is a MEAL ... chips and guacamole are fresh and delicious. Love chevy’s
Maybe its COVID19, but the staff & prices will keep me from returning to once very favorite place. The staff was slow, nonchalant, & generally disinterested in being there. Id be surprised to learn they were regulars. What really marred our first venture out to a restaurant in three months was the difficulty in getting help in an emergency!😭When food & drink were spilled on the floor making it exceptionally dangerous for people walking in our area, it took 8 minutes to finally get help. We clapped, we yelled, and banged glasses for help. But nearby Wait Staff chose to ignore 😜 us. It was only when we caught the eye of one nice female Wait Person that we got help from another SOMEONE who mopped the wet area up with a mop pushing napkins around the floor. WOW! And the whole experience left a particular bad taste in our mouths because if jacked up prices that included paying $3.00 for a 12oz glass of coke. Really, Chevys?👎🏼👅✍️🤡i
This place is the bomb! Everything tastes so good. Everything was fresh. The food came to the table faster than you can finish the wonderful chips and salsa, which was free.
It was planned by friends to stop by and have lunch . Its good place . Nice staff and good food. Its authentic Mexican food. And they make tortilla fresh. Try 🌮 tacos . No waiting mostly . Its big places and nice crowd.
The food was good but nothing amazing. Nice large portions. People were friendly. Huge place with nice decor and a good atmosphere. Had their brunch menu which was nice. Decent prices.
