Leatherhead Rd, Chessington KT9 2NE, Bletchley
Relaxed rooms, some with safari views, in a pair of theme park hotels offering informal dining.
We visited on a Friday during half term, so the ques were very very long. We only managed 2 big rides with were well over an hour wait for each. The park was really well decorated for Halloween and had really good entertainment through out the day.The photo system is very long winded, with the digital pass only avaliable to purchase from one stand in the whole park and feel this could be made so much easier. We thankfully visited with our passes so can go and visit again but if this was a one off treat then I would of been felt very let down.
Fantastic site, kids love it. All 5 stars. most ride are waiting list for 30 minutes. superb Experience. sadly, toilets are very poor in hygiene.
Great park! Easily an underrated park. The theming of the whole park is incredible and the rides are not too spread apart so the access is easy. We did get fast track in the day so I could be biased but overall we had a cracking day. Vampire was closed on our trip but we still had a blast. All the rides were good, clean and comfortable and staff friendly. Keep it up chessington
An excellent experience, spoilt a little by ride closures, although understandable. Staff were helpful and cheerful, queues were relatively short, nothing longer than 55min but it was shorter.A well balanced mix of activities from rides to animals, sea life and shows, something for everyone, and with a Halloween theme.October is not such a bad month to visit with temperatures of 13 degrees, fine and fair!
Had a great family day out at this theme park / zoo. We particularly enjoyed how the animal enclosures where spread out amongst the rides always giving something to do / look at. Would recommend buying tickets in advance as queues grow at the entrance, would also recommend downloaded app for map ride and queue information we found this quite handy.it is a busy day out especially on weekends so I would recommend getting there before opening time to make the most of your day. Plenty of restaurants restrooms and souvenir shops located throughout the park. Highlight our 6 year loved the gruffalo ride. Plenty of onsite parking for a fee.
Stayed here for gfs birthday and loved it, stayed in Safari Hotel where we got views of Safari animals, also did VIP giraffe experience which was amazing. Park is great too for all ages, only reason Im giving 4 star is a lot of the restaurants in the park were closed with no reason given on the establishments, apart from that was great
Chessington is one of our favourite theme parks to visit because we love the tigers here. But overall the park is really good mainly for younger ones but really fun family day out.
Mostly reviewing the zoo as we had a 1 year old so couldnt go on too much ride wise but the whole experience was amazing! The resort is huge and it is a full days worth. So you defo get your moneys worth. The themed areas are beautiful and you really get the different vibes as you move from area to area. The app is super cool and helps you navigate easily and make sure you dont miss the shows. So defo get that downloaded!I only wish we could have gone on the safari experience as it looks incredible and they still had a height restriction so our 1 year old wasnt allowed on. But it brings you right up to the animals in the enclosures which is just so cool! I also see they are building a new part of the park and it already looks wicked so looking forward to visiting again to see it 🤩Lots of family fun!!
2yr old, wife and I had a great day with lots to do for all ages and levels of bravery! Staff very friendly and the park was clean and tidy too. Loved Room on the Broom in particular, a really great attraction no matter your age or if you like the book. Well worth a day or two to visit.
Very clean park with a good mix of rides aimed at younger children from toddlers up to early teens. The selection of animals in the zoo is also good with them spread around the park.Went in the week and queue times were very short.
Amazing day, we went last day of school holidays.busy but entertainment kept the between rides experience too notch.plenty for little kids to do, nephew had a brilliant time.definitely recommend
The kids loved it, that’s why there are 3 stars. But it’s very much 1990 and it urgently needs some refurbishments. If you don’t pay another huge amount for the VIP tickets, you’ll wait over an hour at the main attractions.Food is horrible and expensive – some of the worst food I ever had was served.Nice for the kids, but too expensive to do it often.
Its so amazing! Theres a lot of adventures inside this park. We do water shot firing, elephant ride, pirate riding and many more. They have also roller coaster ride but we have not tried,.were having a lot of fun in this part, we have a great day. Its worth what you have paid for.
I liked it. The zoo and the sealife was very nice. The only animal what we missed the tigers. We tried 2 restaurant but the food wasnt nice. And for any ride u need to wait minimum 40minutes..so we did not tried any. Maybe next time but in summer in the weekend.. No chance.
First time visiting Chessington World of Adventures Resort. Would highly recommend. Friendly staff. Plenty of places to eat and drink as well. Good selection of rides for all ages and some animals to see as well
Amazing time here . Kids loved it. Stayed at the hotel so got the perks of gaining entry early . Otherwise you dont get enough time. Quing up is a major issue here as you could be waiting up to a hour for popular rides which takes up your fun time. Drinks are extremely expensive. And download the app its a hub of information and a great map.
Recommended to all. One of the place to visit with children. Activities for all ages. There are lots to see and experience. It was an wonderful visit. Opens at 10am every day. But please check their website for latest opening times. We spent full day but wasnt enough due to lot of waiting in the queue. Please make sure if you have little children in your party then they are at least 1.2 meter tall which is a minimum requirement for all most all rides. Ticket price is nearly £33 for children but if they are under 1.2 meter tall then not worth to visit due to they wont get in to any of the rides.I must say that the park is huge. Parking is £4 per day per car. All disabled facilities and separate entry for almost all rides. If you are visiting this place then start your day from opening time. Plenty of hot foods and beverages also available.
Rides are pretty good but can have long wait times on high thrill rides. Zoo is feeling a little neglected to me but they do mix some animal enclosures throughout the park. Great for families with younger and older kids. There are enough non ride activities to keep people busy too.
Great clean park, staff friendly and helpful. Lots of shows at certain times, mainly duly rides or rides for over 1.2m.Not many children rides so no good for younger ones really. There is a kids zoo which when we walked in they took all the animals in so that was a waste, zafari which there wasnt many animals on and wasnt worth the wait. Sealife area with plenty of fish it took us around 20 minutes to walk around 😊.
Chessington was amazing, so much to do and see. Theres a variation of rides from the wet rides to the head spinning and stomach turning. They have cool themes as well like wild Asia, Mexicana, Africa, rainforest. The architecture is incredible. It was lovely being able to see the animals close up too and you could even do a safari ride. For the little ones, cocomelon was there which my kids loved and some other story tellers too. They even had motorbikes for the kids to ride. Some of the queues for the rides were 45 minutes to an hour long which was annoying, but there was a lot of people there and we got there early. The only disappointing thing for me was I didnt see 1 tiger even though there was supposed to be 4 and my daughter didnt see a shark in the aquarium which was surprising. Despite that, it was brilliant. Hopefully Ill see the tigers next time we go. Overall I highly recommend it and download the app too, it really helps.
Very nice resort to visit. Has everything for everyone and for all ages. Zoo element is an added advantage. Car parking is conveniently located and not too far from the resort. Will visit again.
They have updated the entry gates to some more spacious gates. They are refurbishing all around. When we been there was no shows only meet and greet. The rides were a bit busy and ques quite big. The animals are great!!! Definetly worth going and spend a day!
We enjoyed zufari, all rides got 45 minutes queue but enjoyed in zoo, feed the birds. Nice family day out. Spend all the time in the zoo. Had fun though.
Great family day out and lots of variety in rides so great for the bravest of brave and for those more cautious. Some queues were long but well organised and moved along quite well. Recommended purchasing tickets and parking online prior to visit as we walked in with no waiting at all.
Great family day out, boys loved it especially the Scorpion Express.Very busy but it is school holidays so what do you expect.Room On The Broom was by far the most disappointing part of the park for us.Plenty of rides for all ages and lots of animal experiences to be had as well as going around to see them yourself.
Went to the theme park with no great expectations, but I was greatly surprised. While certain rides were out of action, most were running and the atmosphere within the park was fantastic and full of fun. My wife couldnt stop smiling all day. The park was clean and staff were very friendly. The zoo section is also fantastic and I would highly recommend a visit.
Great day out. Perfect for all ages. Great food choices. Definitely worth buying a fast track ticket as generally you are waiting 1 hour plus to get on any ride.
A fun and entertaining theme park which includes a zoo. We took two kids, both under 5 and it was a full day spent with activities for all of us to enjoy. The waiting times for quite a few rides can extend to over 30 minutes so it might be worthwhile to consider the fast track options. Parking is plenty but it does cost around £4. There are good options for food and they are spread around the park.
To start with the negatives. The animals in the zoo generally looked like they were in a terrible state. The whole park seemed very shabby. Lots of areas which desperately needed a lick of paint or a good scrub. And the toilets were not at all clean. It just felt like a business that was down on its luck and very tired. So now the positives. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The app was very good. And we enjoyed the rides and even without paying for Reserve and Ride the queues were doable.Overall Im not sure I would recommend this place. Cleanliness and maintenance have to be the number one priority for a family oriented venue and I just feel Chessington is seriously missing the mark on both.
Stayed here from Monday and Tuesday, staying over the Monday night at the Safari Hotel. We really enjoyed the park, youngest was 1.1m oldest 1.2m so a few rides we had to separate for a few. Easier 1:1 child to adult ratio for under 7s Id say. Hotel room was perfect and it was amazing staying next to the safari park. Buffet dinner and breakfast at the Azeteca Hotel was mayhem but really good quality. Perfect for the kids. Loved the 9am entry to the park although Id flag not that many rides were open. Overall a great 2 days with a 4 and 6 year old.
Great visit, rides were fun and plenty to do. Had to queue for rides but no longer than 10 minutes and seemed to move quickly. Imagine it could get rammed at peak times but plenty of staff were around to get people in and through rides. Car parks (grassy fieldcould be better and signposted clearer but otherwise a fun day out.
Chessington World of Adventures is a truly remarkable place. Lots of exciting activities and events. The animal reserve is especially impressive - the Giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes, Ostrich, monkeys, etc give the Zufari ride a real African vibe.Lovely lovely place for a family fun day.
Had a lovely day at chessington world of adventure! The staff were very friendly and the place was quite clean ( there wasn’t junk on the floor etc.the only downside was that the queues for the rides were super long, we only managed to go on 5 rides. My favourite ride was the zufari! It was super fun as we got to see the animals up close. I like that the queues for the rides are decorated to match the theme of the ride, that makes it’s more interesting to wait in line. The zoo area was very cool and there were many animals! There was quite a variety of food compared to other theme parks I have visited which was refreshing to see, there were also vegan options. Overall had a great day!
Best place for day out with kids. It has everything- a zoo with a wide variety of animals, safari, a small aquarium, live events, good food and countless exciting rides. Difficult to cover all in a single day and the biggest challenge is to find the right day to visit as it does get super busy in holiday season and the ride waiting times could be over an hour. But if you could go on a not such busy day, expect to have loads of fun.
Wonderful mix of zoo and theme park. Lovely place for children to enjoy the rides and see the animals. Though it was very crowded and long waiting time for the rides due to public holiday. One bad experience was our photo that we bought from “Tiger Rock” after the slide. The picture was very clear when we saw and bought it but when it was downloaded picture was very blurry and even one family members face was not appearing in photo. Even after complains no action was taken by the management of park nor by the company who is running the shop. But still our trip was wonderful as children really enjoyed the rides. Hope that management should consider and address such complaints as the current era belongs to better customer satisfaction and service.👍🏻
It was a good family day out. The kids loved it. A bit disappointed that we didnt see so many animals as they said... Overall it was a great day. Lots of rides, you can have your packed lunch from home while you see the show or you can have pizza, coffee, ice cream from the shops & restaurants there... Make sure you bring your rain coats or spare clothing for the water rides.
I went with the kids and wife for the first time. I have been here before but that was years ago. The rides were super fun and the kids loved them. Ofcourse as the day progressed the wait times on the rides quickly went above 70 to 90 minutes, which is one of the things I hate about theme parks, but didnt want to spend double or triple the amount of fast track options, and it teaches kids about patience. Overall a fun day out and loved it.P.S: you have to pay for parking, which I think is appalling as they already charge you so much, but thats something you should keep in mind.
Stayed at Safari Hotel, would have given it a 5-star but customer service was not great. Every request took long to be seen to, after making several requests. Went during school half-term, a busy period, which could explain it, but still not good enough. Hotel was really good at offering that Safari feel. Loved that it was still local to town and could still pop out for meals etc. The theme park was huge to explore. Lots and lots of animals to see which was well integrated and exciting. Go early to get on rides as you will spend a lot of time queuing.
Great fun day out. We pre-booked with our merlin passes which are Great for the kids. Most ride times were roughly around 30 minutes.I think the site map could do with some work as wasn’t very clear in my opinion.Everyone had a good time. They also have go ape on site
We visited as a family with a small child and had a nice day.I think this park is more suited to younger guest as not really many thrill/extreme ride. What I do like about this park is the theaming, it reminds me a little of animal kingdom in Orlando. What we loved was the gorillas, we spent ages watching them.
Overall we had a lovely visit. Id highly recommend the app to use as a map plus to view the ride height restrictions and queue times. We used this the whole time!Lots of places to eat and enough attractions to fill your day.Parts of the park could do with some sprucing up. We noticed some ride props not working and some areas quite grubby or overgrown with weeds. Were regular visitors to another theme park which we found much better kept than Chessington. We stayed on site in the hotel (highly recommendedand it came with early access to the park. Early access only grants you access to a few rides and none of the photobooths or shops are actually open which was disappointing.I wouldnt rush back to Chessington but Im glad we ticked it off the list. We had a fun two days with our 5yr old.
Absolutely superb visit.Staff on site were very lovely, very helpful and informative - had a great laugh too.Queues were very short, barely any wait time to access rides.Averagely priced for a theme park, fabulously Julia Donaldson themed!Loved the safari, and the aquarium! Plus, a new gorilla baby on the scene?! Super cute 😭
Great time in the park . Hotel was brilliant as the room was a long distance from entrance , we have an assistance dog and the gave us a free upgrade to the nearest room to entrance in case he needed to go out in the night and we got the gruffly room . Which was amazing . The hotel staff were brilliant and they couldnt do enough to assist us . 5 stars very well deserved
Chessington World of Adventures is a wonderful place and a lovely time to spend with the family. We have been 3 weekends in a row and have loved it everytime.I would recommend an annual pass if your budget allows, that way you can come multiple times without the stress of standing in hour long queues. There is something for everyone - rides for big and small, animals to see, a safari, food stalls, theme park games, arcades, live kids show and much much more.Make sure to pay for parking ahead of time as this will save you some hassle when you leave.I highly recommend.
Words cant describe it!!!!It was , to put it simply, an amazing weekend. So beautiful indeed.Lots of crazy rides. Some regular ones.Enough fun to go round the whole family!!!!It was worth every single penny. The hotel was simply amazing!Breakfast was great and yummy! We all had our fill. The staff were extremely polite. My son had a birthday cake and balloons waiting for us in our room as we visited on his birthday. The pool was absolutely warm and beautiful to swim in, the sauna and the steam room were an added plus!It was an amazing weekend I say. Worth it!The only downside was that on Saturday of Easter there were long queues. We had to queue for up to an hour to get on the rides!!!!!!Overall? It was an amazing experience. I simply cant wait to go back. And if you do, make sure you get on the Vampire and Cobra rides. The kids absolutely loved the grufalo boat ride!
We had such a fantastic day here, we were 6 adults and 2 children (3+5). There is so much to see and do, we were there from open 10am till 6pm.Some of the rides for the younger kids had quite long wait times and we found they were just letting the fast track guests on, I really think they shouldnt have fast track options on the kiddy rides, I get it on the adult ones but even then it could be managed better, alternate the fast track with regular for example. Not all the food stands were open when we went, we had lunch at the chicken place and it was delicious. We were all surprised how tasty it was.The park was clean and well maintained and toilets were all looked after well. Thanks for a great day out.
Epic park for young/pre teen children. Great mix of rides, themes and animals that cater for everything that kids want. Would get five stars but I feel the signage/navigation on site and the number of food outlets are not right. The food wait times are just stupid. Overall a great day out....just dont forget a picnic
A perfect day for a visit to CWOA! My Child is 0.8m in height. And they had more than enough rides for him to go on. Added bonus there is a mini Sea-life Aquarium on site. Half the resort was shut, but I was aware and did my research as it is Winter season after all, plus it didnt effect my little ones day. What a day for it with such wonderful weather.
Loved our stay at the hotel. Atmosphere was great with lots of activities for children. Facilities and standards of the room was top notch. They even left Freddo bars in the kids beds which was a nice touch! We had a great time at the zoo, staff were very informative and friendly. The breakfast was of a high standard and staff were fantastic, couldnt be any more helpful and accommodating. A special shout out to Christina for really looking after us and my 9-month old daughter at the restaurant. We were disappointed with the Sea Life section but I guess we were comparing it to the full-sized one in Blackpool/Birmingham.Overall a great weekend for the family at a very reasonable price. Being off-season we got to spend a lot of time at the parts of the zoo we really enjoyed. We got to experience some great moments with the tigers, lions and the giraffes.Keep up the great work guys!
We went on the last day of the season, it was a little rundown and only a third of the rides were working. This could be due to COVID or just being the end of the season. You can see that all the staff just wanted to get to the end of the day...The family had been many times and I would not recommend going at the end of the season.I really enjoyed it every other time and the kids normally are running between each ride. This time they were just walking... most of the fun rides were closed so the kids were not as exited this time as they normally were.We were able to see most of the animals and also stayed around for most of the talks on the sea lions and the lions. The lion talk the speaker was broken so we were not able to hear any of the lectures. Very disappointed.
