Chefs' Academy Restaurant - Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
Weve been a few times now this student year & the service has improved each time. This week was a Taste of Tuscany, which was an aperol spritz on arrival followed by five courses, all for £25. The pork main, pictured, was very tasty.
Fantastic food and house wine. Efficient and friendly service
Simply excellent!!It never disappoints. Professionally presented and delivered by the friendly, helpful well trained students. First class.
Amazing food , excellent staff ,Great prices. All in all a fantastic experience from start to finish
I cant believe I havent been here before! Amazing food & great service. A special treat for my Mums 90th birthday & so glad we did it.2nd year students providing this level of service & food should be so proud of themselves.A lovely atmosphere in a comfortable setting with freindly staff. Youd probably pay at least twice the price in a normal restaurant for this quality of food.I cant recommend it enough & will definitely be back in the near future.
Fabulous food and great service.
Great food at great value - just a bit chilly under the aircon!
Good quality food & decent service from the trainees serving my only disappointment was the blood orange tart ..the tart itself was not good as no filling but steak & cheese board Amazing !
Always a great dining experience a true gem of a restaurant, incredibly good value & I love the fact eating here is helping students learn their skills to take them through to their chosen career.
Big thank you to all the service team and the chefs for a really lovely, relaxing and unbelievable value for money dining experience. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal and all said they wanted to come back.
If you have been to the Chefs Academy before you will know how tasty the food is. If you have never been before you must try it. We have just had a superb 3 course lunch for £10.50.The food is first class. I highly recommend a visit.
Very tasty meals here; and reasonably priced.
Great value and excellent menu, perfectly prepared and presented. Service was"relaxed", but we werent in a hurry.
A lovely meal well cooked, presented and served. It was my husbands first visit and he was very impressed.
Excellent
Always great food, good views and fab service from the students
Outstanding food and great staff
Fantastic place with lovely trainee waiters. Excellent food at excellent prices. Only open at certain days and times though.
Good very good, service excellent. Couldnt fault a thing. Would definitely recommend and definitely go again xx
Overall very good value. The bread was late coming out to go with the starters & I found the fish cakes a little salty but the pudding was delicious. We will definitely go again.
Excellent evening as always. Such beautiful food and great service.
Always good food, very reasonably priced!
Gorgeous food for a fair price.
Absolutely beautiful Food, all prepared and served by the hospitality students, a real credit to the College.
Food prepared and served by a team of supervised Newcastle College catering/hospitality students. Reliably restaurant quality, but at very reasonable prices.
Went for Christmas dinner. Excellent food, great staff. All for a superb price. Would recommend to anyone 👍
Great food, good service and inexpensive.
Lovely well cooked and presented food. Service excellent too.
Was here for an after work event - the students did an amazing job with the food and service.
Great food. Good service good prices
Amazing. Lovely food. Great service
Great food that you wouldn’t get better at a fine dining restaurant! The price is amazing! The staff are amazing!!!! Had a great experience today, and booked for next week! Newcastle college you are doing a great job introducing students to the hospitality industry!
Excellent quality food, delicious flavours and great servings. Three courses for £9.50 is unbelievably good. Service is excellent and the views from this third floor restaurant are lovely. You could consider having some treatments at the retreat prior to your meal too. Really well thought out place by the college and once youre on the third floor it doesnt feel like youre in a college at all.Highly recommended
The Academy Restaurant is one of Newcastles hidden treasures. The food and service by the students is superb, complemented by an astonishing view across the valley. Love it, the students are good, the food is good and the room is spectacular
This is Newcastles greatest hidden food thing. The restaurant is the practice kitchen/hospitality space for their students to learn by experience. Sure, there will be mistakes but thats the point, students need to practice their craft. I was there tonight and enjoyed a fantastic three course seasonal meal for only £12.50. When booking it is important to understand the function of the place and realise that the menu will be limited and not always decided/published when you book, but sometimes you have to take a punt. We have never been disappointed. Oh, I forgot to say, as a southern incomer I love the view over the Tyne valley - a posh hotel or restaurant would charge you £12 for a drink just to see that!
Very tasty food in a beautiful environment and nice prices too.
Quality food here, and our service was very good!
Excellent food lovely venue super customer service
Inspired menus, brilliantly executed by top class students. Well worth a visit, would thoroughly recommend.
Took my parents for afternoon tea . Although it was a gloomy day parents loved the view which triggered memories of living in Benwell .Beautifully served afternoon tea , classic fresh sandwiches , gorgeous light scones. The cakes were to die for , every one of them heavenly ,couldnt pick a favourite but the blackberry macaroons were perfect with a zingy filling . Guests leaving gave us a heads up that the cakes were something special. Couldnt eat everything and took a box full home .Parents are going back and we will also be trying the fish and chip Friday .
Wow! Had the afternoon tea and it was great! I will definitely be back. Make sure you book in time
First visit, and quite impressed. Decent 3 courses for 13 quid with a view over the Tyne Valley.
Went today and took two of my friends for the first time. Once again superb food and excellent service. They were very impressed at the standard of the food and hospitality of the staff and students. They will definitely return.
Lovely food made by year 3 students and waited on and served by year 2 students. Only £12,50 for three courses.
