I am the most pickiest eater. I dont like cabbage( not great for a polish girlveges out too.Wont try anything. But, this place is amazing!!! I eat the salad, which is cabbage and a light dressing, chef bright out a special plate for us,This is Bosnian food!!!!!! I will go back and back.Small family restaurant tucked in a small retail area. He has even had Guy Fierra ( speat there.Be different try something new.

ive tried a lot of european food in tucson and elsewhere, and this is the only place in tucson that gets it right. fantastic food up and down the menu. i had never had bosnian before here, to be fair. but its influences are obvious, id say 3 parts central european, 2 parts greek, and 2 parts its own spin on those. the chicken and mushroom dish is superb--that sauce is perfect. the gyro is proper. the sausage is its own thing that i love. yea, some people on here have commented on the atmosphere being drab or what not, and i dont really get that? the staff is lovely. vastly underappreciated place.

As a visitor in town for the Oregon/Arizona football game, this food was absolutely delicious! Not only were the two plates of food we ordered phenomenal, but the extra plate that was delivered by the chef as a taste of what he prepared his family was ‘smack your momma’ good! This beef/egg noodle plate was divine. Only wish more people were in the restaurant supporting this local business.

This hidden gem is delightful. We had the chicken in paprika sauce and my cousin had the stuffed cabbage. Both were delicious. I always try to come here when Im in town after moving away 10 years ago.

First time eating here after never even knowing about this place! Definitely think it needs more recognition. The dish was fantastic! I just wish they added some background music or something! The family that owned the restaurant were also very attentive and friendly!

Weve had the sausages, the cabbage rolls, the goulash and the beef with mushrooms. All were excellent. The baklava and the stuffed apple desserts are like wise great. Service is fast.

Absolutely delicious authentic slowly cooked real European food with love and tender care:-I was there for a family birthday party and the only thing that probably could have been better with a shish kabobs because the quality of the meat was more of a pressed meet with too much fat and salt:-( we will be returning though top quality goulash and an awesome salad and everything else on the menu just wouldnt recommend this kebabs if youre on a health kick. Awesome staff and great location:-)

Fresh ingredients, you can tell everything is made from scratch. Kind service, large servings. Would come again and recommend to anyone :)

A lovely, family operated restaurant. Wide selection of meals. I especially loved the wiener schnitzel. You cant find such delicious fried chicken anywhere else.

The food is amazing! The food is home cooked by the Chef and his family. Reminds me of my travels in Europe. Try the Sarma or goulash, and have the baklava for desert.

Ordered the "MJEŠANO MESO - MIXED GRILL - 4 MEAT DISHES" for two and it was great - quality, taste and quantity wise. Comes with the meats, rice, salad, bread, etc. and I think it is great value. Highly recommended!

I grew up with a Bosnian friend and this place reminds me so much of her parents’ delicious food. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and the food is so lovely! Whenever I’m in the area, I always stop by.

Came in close to 9 with 9:30 as closing time. Customer service was amazing! Food was delicious. And the chef/owner Alisah is a very friendly, respectful and a great chef. We are a muslim family and we happened to come in on one of our special Eid days, Mr. Alisah gave us warm wishes for the holiday and served a not on the menu special dish. In the end great place to eat at whether you’re local or just travelling through town.

I ordered a Gyros Plate and got the microwave warmed up gyros that tasted like robber. I went there to eat homemade meal not giros from the bag.

Enjoyed our dinner. goulash with couscous was delicious! Baklava was really great. Staff was friendly

My wife and I love hitting places that have been on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, so when visiting Tucson we stopped here and it surpassed our high expectations! The food was great (best meatballs Ive ever hadand we were given a complimentary dish that was excellent. Great experience!

I have been going to this place for years and LOVE the food! Chef Alisha makes an authentic Croatian food. That’s my first stop every time I’m in Tucson! Highly recommend

Visited out of town and found this place, ordered the chef combo surprise plate for 4 people and it was delicious! High quality meat,and great variety of different kind of meat. Highly recommended!!

The service was great and the food was even better! We had the mixed grill 4 meat dish for 2 but could really feed 4. Also their beef in mushroom sauce is my favorite ! 🤩

This place has gone from a drive in dive to a drive by dump!!!!If you complain because your chicken is cooked to jerky, you get the entire family telling you that you are the problem and nobody else has ever complained.Then the SO CALLED chef tells you he is the best chef there is and brings out another dish that has been cooked properly and tells you that you are wrong and he is wonderful, see how perfect this is?? If my chicken looked liked that I would have been happy and satisfied.I recommend finding some place else to have a nice meal, because this drive by dump isnt it.Oh and they charged us full price, even though it was inedible.I would give it zero stars but it wont post zero.

Today we, my wife and I, went there for the first time. Glad that we did. Small place with a very good vibe, very homey. It is a Bosnian cuisine with good service, but the food is just FANTASTIC. We ordered the - mixed grill for two- which Ill post a photo of it and not only it was tasting great it also was so much food on the table.Over all great restaurant experience which Ill recommend to all my friend and family.Great job Chef Alisah

Wow…we were so lucky to stumble upon this family-owned European restaurant! First time ever trying Bosnian food, and it got my tastes buds craving for more! The owner/chef/father greeted us and asked us how the food tasted, something you don’t see at most restaurants anymore, he made us feel very welcomed and appreciated! The food was delicious, we’re already planning on our next visit!

Since i came in Tucson, i’ve searched for Serbian - Bosnian restaurant because i’m from the Serbia. It is the most delicious food that i’ve tried in Arizona from the Balkan. I’m sincerely inviting all of you guys that haven’t tried it yet! My favourites are goulash and sausages!!!

It was an absolute delight!! The food was exceedingly amazing and delicious. And the owners are fun and kind and really go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience! They were so kind to the kiddos too. But the food... My family all ordered different dishes and each one was incredible. The leftovers the next day were still amazing. Dont let the menu intimidate you, its all good so dont worry if you have no clue what it is. Please go and support this amazing place, you wont be sorry.

Chef Alisahs food is fantastic. We had the surprise mix plate for 3 plus the cabbage salad and appetizer. DELICIOUS!!! Plenty left over for another full meal for 4. Chef came to the table to check on our experience and to make sure we were happy with the meal. We highly recommend his establishment for a great time and food.

I had the beef goulash and it was AMAZING! I would recommend this place to anyone that is ever hungry again! I will be back.

Great home cooking at a family owned European restaurant.We really enjoyed our dinner at Chef Alisah and meeting the chef and his family. I had the beef goulash and Deb the stuffed cabbage leaves. Both were well presented and delicious. We love Baklava but didnt have room after our main course, so we took them home.The Baklava was delicious, well prepared and not overly sweet.All in all a very enjoyable meal.

Everything here is delicious! We had the sausages and the chicken paprika and both were amazing, but my favorite was the tzatziki and ajvar appetizer.

I picked this place to celebrate my birthday and i was NOT disappointed!!Very delicious food, good service, Id totally recommend! Lots of leftovers

Wow. Incredible food, super service, the waiter was extremely friendly. The cook/owner, Mr Alisha prepared a delicious meal for the four of us that could have easily fed 8 lumberjacks. The atmosphere is spot on as well.We will come back for sure. Oh and its bring your own beer with no bottle charge!

My friends and I wanted to try some European food while we were in the Tucson area and boy we were pleasantly surprised! Chef Alisahs serves delicious Bosnian food! We have never had Bosnian food before and chose several different items to share.We first got the Bosnian soda, Cockta (1.5 Lit tastes like a delectable herbal Coke. Then we got one of the appetizers: Bosnian Style Tzatziki and Ajvar (Vegetable Spread). The Tzatziki sauce was super good and tasted very fresh and light. It was smooth and we loved the taste and texture. It was also our first time trying Ajvar, which was a sweet and flavorful spread. After trying it, we really wanted to learn to make it ourselves because it was that good! These two sauces tasted perfect with the bread that was served alongside it!We ordered the 2 person Surprise Platter (we were a group of three and wanted to order another dish to try too and also ordered the Cabbage dish.And wow. We can see why this dish was called the surprise platter. At first the cabbage salad (perfectly dressed with the right amount of sourcame out. Right after that the Surprise Platter came out. We couldnt help but exclaim with surprise by the gigantic size of that thing! WOW! It came with broccoli/carrots with cheese, kebab, chicken, gyro with Tzatziki sauce, beef sausages, and chicken sausages. It was one of the best things I have had in a while. Everything on that platter was delicious. The beef sausages were delicious and tasted great with the bread served. The chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. Best of all was the kebab! We thought we could soldier through and finish the entire thing but there was so much food we had to take more than half of it home! (Yum! Leftovers!)The Cabbage dish was also super delicious! When it came out, the delightful smell of the dish captivated us! The rice was really good but a bit salty. The cabbage tasted buttery soft and melted in the mouth. Combined, the dish was perfect. It left us wanting more!We loved the food here so much that we ordered the baklava to-go to eat later at home since we were too stuffed to eat anything else at the moment. We went home and tried the baklava and it was just the perfect amount of sweet and syrupy. One of the better baklavas that Ive had.The server was awesome and very sweet and the owner even came out to see how we were doing. The service was amazing and we would come back to this place just for that!If Im ever near Tucson, I will definitely be returning here to try more of their dishes!!!

The food here was delicious. I felt like I was in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The owners are super kind and welcoming. The food came out fast and it was cooked to perfection. Will come back again.

I had wonderful experience at Chef Alisha restaurant . Very Humble host and Environment. The food was amazing. Every bite was filled with amazing taste. This is the best food I have ever tasted. Goulash and mushroom dishes were my favorite.

We searched for this restaurant based on Triple D but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The food lacked flavor. Our sausages were undercooked. The staff was friendly and the chef visited our table. We gave feedback but nothing was said nor did they probe to see how it could be improved. Hopefully it was just a bad day and the food is better normally.

This place is absolutely delicious! We drove down from Phoenix just to come try this place. The owner Is so nice! he personally came out to serve our dishes. This man does it all. Preps food, host, waiter, cook, everything! We ordered the Mjesano Meso mixed Grill 4 meat dish. This is intended for 2 people but it’s so much food left over. The bread is baked fresh daily and he strives for perfection. The beef steak was delicious! Tender and juicy. The tzatziki sauce is homemade and it too was fabulous. Highly recommend this place. We also ordered coffee but it wasn’t as strong as I expected. Cute set up for the coffee but if you’re into strong coffee you might want to skip it.

I am astounded by this place. The food was excellent. The chef and his wife are lovely people who made us feel right at home. I will be eating the leftovers from the chefs special for a few days and I am looking forward to it immensely. Two big thumbs up. I cant wait to return.

This place is a gem! Highly recommend getting the stuffed cabbage - super flavorful and not too heavy. My family also got few vegetarian dishes and they were delicious as well.

Travel to Tucson often. Love the mexican and sonoran food here but wanted something different. Two colleagues and I ate at Chef Alishas and had an amazing experience. We all almost said at the same same "this is amazing home cooking" even though none of us ever had Bosnian fare before. The food is amazing and the owners make you feel at home. They are the real deal. Love to cook for you and love to see you enjoy thier craft. This is a must if in Tucson and you want something different.

Cevapi (beef sausageswas awesome, fresh and delicious. Coffee was served with individual tiny pots and was a great finish for a great dinner.

The food is amazing, the service is great, the owners and employees are friendly.If you dont know what to order, go with 2-4 people and order the surprise. Itll be more food than you can eat and youll come come with delicious leftovers!

We came here in the early evening and we were the only ones in the restaurant the entire time. The waitress and the cook both came out to our table and talked to use a little bit. We ordered and appetizer and two entrees, which turned out to be way, way too much food. The owner also gave us two different salads, and some soups for free. The food was pretty good quality and the price was reasonable. Overall it was a pretty good visit.

What a great find! Who would expect Bosnian food in Tucson. They are known for their meat plates (especially lambbut had several really tasty veggie plates. Note - they are BYOB but do not have a corkage fee.
