New Orleans-based chain offering a lengthy menu of Cajun-Creole classics, plus signature drinks.
Food quality has definitely declined. Crab cake and shrimp Alfredo is what I had. I had to squeeze lemon juice from my drink onto the entree for flavor. The shrimp were like salad shrimps and they served a lunch portion for dinner. I would not return. Nothing fresh. I would do better with a frozen dinner.
Walked in at 9:20. They turned is away saying kitchen closes at 9:30 but yet open till 10:00. Bad management....
Visited Bluebonnet location on 10/20/2022 for my mothers birthday lunch. For starters, the waitress was not friendly. Placed an order for an appetizer which was disappointing. Proceeded to place the order for the entrees and waited an extended time despite the restaurant being sparsely occupied. Once the order was brought to the table 1 entree was wrong despite the waitress repeating it back to me. I told her I was missing my salad and she stated she didnt know I wanted it despite us having a discussion about which dressing I wanted. My mothers fish platter was also disappointing.
We went in (by mistakea hour before they closed for my friends birthday. They were so nice and even sung him Happy Birthday. The food was hot and delicious. Just a lovely experience.
We were here for dessert only...about 10 other tables...took wayyyy too long for 1 coffee and a chocolate martini and 2 desserts. Was a 2-star review, but for the great waitress we had and great tasting desserts. Bon Appétit!
9/4/22 at 3:20pmThe server Nidia was very unprofessional, rude , didnt touch her table. My food was horrible ! I gave her money she bring me back the wrong change out a hundred dollars. She preceeded to yell and make a seen the lazy unprofessional manager on today he supported the behavior.I will be calling the District manager. Please by pass this establishment wasnt clean dirty dirty silverware. My first and last time. I only tipped b/c they say African Americans dont tip.
Came for lunch while working nearby on a recommendation. It was a pretty nice little lunch spot, but Id be curious to try it for dinner. They had a nice lunch menu that comes with a small entree, salad, and a little brownie. Pretty tasty food and under 15$ with a drink. Would come again
This place has unfortunately taken a nose dive from what it was many years ago. It stays at 3 stars because of nostalgia and the fact that if you like their breaded pasta dishes and pasta dishes, you can still find a couple items that are just ok.
The food is delicious. I heard some great things about the Bistro but the mixed blackened pasta was beyond my expectations, I highly recommend it. The service was great, the team treats you like family. The atmosphere is great, well lit to set the mood but enjoyable for larger groups. I am definitely a fan.
Worst service everThe waitress Ashley C. was terrible. She came to the table telling us about someone who styled her hair and messed up…she didn’t take out orders correct, she didn’t know how to put more than one order on one ticket, and charged a 20% tip for each meal instead of the price, the food was terrible, I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo it taste like gumbo out of the can and it was cold. Then Ashley placed an order that I didn’t order and when I told her I didn’t order it she tried to get me to take it. We waited forever to get outlets food which was nasty and it still came back cold.
I’ve been here a few times now, and the food has been consistently good. Service is pretty good as well. Would I consider it a littler over-priced? Maybe, but what isn’t nowadays? Good for a date night, definitely splurge on a cheesecake. (The crab claw appetizer is pretty killer as well.)
Food was ok, dish could have had more sauce. Cheesecake not as good as it used to be. Size has shrunk. You got a large slice before covid now its small and not as good. Not enough staff.
Got three deserts to go, cheesecake is wet, the cooler the cheesecakes are in are not working properly and it looks like the Amazon rain forest with all the water on the glass. Ordered blueberry cheese cake crumble it was cheesecake soup with cookie crumbles on top and a blueberry. Service was awful, everyone working there was so far up there own behind they couldn’t care less what was going further then there own nose. Will not be back until a remodel or new management or owners. Very sad, this place use to be good.
This place was so nice. Our waiter was very professional. Good workers or definitely hard to fine these days. The food was on point.
Not a very good experience - words were being said between workers in the kitchen and in the bakery - very loudly; resulting a very unsettling atmosphere; only one of three of the ladies restrooms was working; the water pressure in the sink in the ladies restroom dribbling out. Won’t go back.
I finally stopped in today to place a quick order to go before heading back to my hotel. Miss Wilma was so sweet. She invited me to go back when i have more time and dine in the restaurant. Btw, the food was wonderful. Im in town every weekend for work, so Ill definitely be back❤️ The customer service was top notch. Thank you guys❤️❤️
Chicken was very brunt we told our waitress she got the manager and he said he couldn’t replace it cause it was have ate which it wasnt the chicken is literally cut in half bad service your supposed to please ur costumers and im not pleased at all !
What a great place to give a shot! The food was really really good. I stopped in on Sunday May 15th to have lunch with my daughter while we were visiting but they were short staffed and extremely busy so I just decided to try the White Chocolate raspberry bread pudding and boy oh boy was it amazing! I ended up getting it to go. The young lady and young man that was at the Togo area were extremely pleasant people I decided to give it a shot again the next day and I’m glad I did! Our food and service was amazing once again. Our waiter was the nicer gentleman ever and was also very very pleasant! The food was fresh, tasty and hot on arrival!!! If you’re visiting I would recommend coming here but be aware of busy hours as you may have a long wait time.
Disappointing. What has happened to the service industry? At least act like you are glad we chose your business. We waited 30 mins, got a table, left after 15 more minutes when no one came to even bring us so much as water. Biggest complaint: they don’t smile or seem to even care if you stay or go.
Dine in for drinks 🍸and appetizers🍛! Bartender was great! However, the apperizers were just okay. The kitchen chef and cooks should concentrate on the appearance of food during plating before presenting to customers. I ordered the fried crab fingers and found two fried shrimp 🍤 in my food.
We went to Copelands Cheesecake Bistro for my birthday, on Friday April 29th. We arrived and went to the host stand. There were 4 employees there talking. Three behind the stand, and one leaning on the stand from the front, back (or behindto us. We stood there for a moment thinking someone would acknowledge us. They did not. I made eye contact with the 3 facing us, they just as quickly looked away. While standing there for a very long time without a single word said to us, I looked around the restaurant. It was only half full at prime time on a Friday night. Yet there were 15+ people seated in the lobby waiting for a table. That would be forgivable with the issues I know restaurants are having finding help, if the folks that were there, actually tried. We stood for a longer time. Finally the female on the front side and the male on the back side walked off. The two females left, still did not acknowledge us. But my wife finally just asked how long to wait for two. They said 15-20 minutes. We said ok, we will go to the bar and get a few drinks while we wait. That was the beginning of horrible service number two. Seated at the bar were 6 women that did not appear to be all together, but in pairs. There was only 1 seat left, so my wife and I both, could not sit. So I just stood at the chair to order. The male bartender was talking to all of the female pairs like he was on a date night, not working. He also only made one drink, for a restaurant table, during this whole time. He also never once acknowledged us. He went to the far end of the bar for a while, I stood wondering whether to go to the other end to get his attention, or just wait where I was. My wife was tired, so she said she was going to go sit in the lobby, just bring the drinks when I get them. The bartender walked past me again, to talk to the ladies on the other side of me. I asked if we could get a drink. He said, quoting "there used to be two of us" and turned and went into the kitchen. I thought....OK, strange response, but.... maybe he had to pick up a food order for the group he was just talking to?? He did not return to the bar for quite a while. So I decided to go sit in the lobby myself. I kept an eye on the kitchen door, to head back over to the bar when he returned. When he finally came back out of the kitchen, he did not have any food. So I am not sure what that was all about. But that was enough. I told my wife this was not what I had in mind for my birthday. If we ever get a table its probably just going to be more ignoring. Lets go to Olive Garden. We got in the car. Navigated Friday rush hour traffic to get to the interstate. Drove to the next exit. Navigated more traffic on the other side and made it to Olive Garden. We were acknowledged immediately. They were on a wait. The much larger restaurant was nearly completely full. But in 5 minutes they called us for a table. We sat. Our server came immediately over. We ordered drinks. The server returned with the drinks a few minutes later. She took our food order. Then I got the text from Copelands that our table was ready. WOW!This is like deja vu all over again. The original Copelands on Essen was our all time favorite restaurant. We went often. It was a bustling place, with great service, and even better food. But then something happened, and all that started going down hill. Every visit was worse than the time before. The last time we went before it closed, there were only five tables with dinners, on a weekend night, in a restaurant that was previously always full. And it took us nearly 2 hours to get food that was not great. No wonder it closed. As the original Copelands was going downhill, I tried to voice my concerns in a review like this, in hopes someone would step in and return it to its glory. But I got no follow up. And the trajectory never changed. I fear the bistro location is on the same path. If changes are not made, my prediction is that this location will also not remain open much longer
Beware of handing your credit or debit card off to your server. I stay on top of watching my account and ended up with a “test run” purchase on my account the day of my visit with them. It was the only place where my card left my hand to be debited for my food. Anyway, fair warning to all who want to trust them with your debit info. Pretty agitating to see so many nice places going to garbage.
So, I gave up on the food at Cheesecake Bistro long ago, but their Cheesecake remains a favorite of mine and I’ll generally pick one up maybe 3-4 times a month. After today, I doubt I come back. I went in to order and the young lady at the dessert counter looked my way and turned away. She was clearly busy and a simple, “hi, be right with you” wouldve suffice. Never got that, so while waiting on her, I’m just looking around and witnessed one of the bartenders take a sip from a drink that she JUST MADE, which was picked up by a waitress and took to a table! Not to mention I finally get waited on by this nice lady. Prior to waiting she brought out a bunch of strawberries. The other girl behind the counter grabbed two strawberries and proceeded to cut them and place them on a plate for an order. Didn’t wash them or anything. Again, cheesecakes are banging but after today I’m done eating from them. Management is lacking here.
Unless you are about to go into a diabetic coma, do not eat here. Firstly, the tables were filled with dirty plates even though the restaurant was empty. I ordered a medium steak and you guessed it, it came back burnt and rubbery. I sent it back and it came back medium but now with tonnes of salt. The starter shrimp and avocado salad was average at best and the avocado used was not fresh. The manager didn’t really give two hoots about the issues. Now I have to go and flush my system with water to get rid of all the sodium.
This place is incredibly delicious. Our waitress was wonderful, enthusiastic & knowledgeable. Some of the best food Ive had in a long time.Even the kids pizza was incredibly fresh and handcrafted. Not a cheap place but it is worth every penny in comparison to other similarly priced restaurants. We will be making special trips back to this restaurant.
The food tastes okay, but over priced for the amount. 4 small pieces of steak.
Customer service was EXCELLENT! John was our server and he was very nice. I would have given 5 stars but my red beans and rice tasted like refried beans. I didnt see any of the beans in its original shape. I think they may have been over cooked. I also would like to have an option between fried bowtie pasta and chips to go with my spinach and artichoke dip. Other than that everything was good.
Spinach & artichoke dip with Blackened Chicken Alfredo. Food was good and service was excellent.
Don’t let the good looks of this meal fool you! I absolutely love to take my sons out on Friday night to enjoy dinner while reflecting over the past week. When I tell you we had the worst experience ever!!! Keep in mind it was Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty, so the food came right out. But to our surprise the food was ice cold. Not lukewarm, but ice cold!!! The waitress could tell by our expression that something was wrong, She merely took the food back and explained that the food would be fresh. To our surprise again, the plate What’s hot but the food was still cold. So right then and there you can tell they didn’t remake the food they just warmed it in the microwave. So for the second time, they had to warm our food again by this point it’s been over 30 minutes. So when we finally got the food at the right temperature, it wasn’t even worth eating. They must have made a mistake with this crawfish sauce because it has so much black pepper that It wasn’t even edible. To make matters worse once I got the check for $87, the waitress said I’m gonna go speak to my manager because you’ve had a horrible experience with our kitchen concerning your food Surely he will take something off this bill. Boy we were both wrong😳 she apologize and explain that is never happened before. Of course I asked to speak to him because we sent our food back twice, and then we could barely eat it. After waiting 15 minutes for him to come talk to us he comes with the worst attitude he explained since they FINALLY got it right, He didn’t feel he should take something off of the bill. His name is Brian. Because of his nasty attitude I do not see me and my family returning here. It wasn’t even the part that he didn’t take anything off the bill it was his horrible treatment towards me and my family. If it wasn’t for the waitress being so nice, I would’ve politely just walked out of there. In all of my years coming here, I never was treated so nasty.
Im not sure whats been going lately, but I went twice thinking well maybe it was a misunderstanding. The first time I went we were not seated and no one came to the front to greet us, nor did anyone let them know we were standing there so after a while another dinner party who said they had been seated for a long time and no one came to take their order left. So right after, we left also. The second time, I went for lunch. We were seated for about 45 minutes talking, but no one came to take our order or acknowledge we were there except for the young man who was cleaning the tables. He went to find our waitress and she told him she was in the bathroom. Disgusted by this, we decided that we should leave. As we were pulling off the young man came running out looking for us saying that he could get us drinks. We politely, Thanked him for his time and declined. I dont think Ill be returning, wish they really wouldnt have closed the Essen Lane Copelands, I liked patronizing with them and always felt welcomed. This Bluebonnet location has gotten to be awful.
Everything was delicious. The service was polite & courteous. We had the spinach & artichoke dip & it was the best Ive ever tasted. The king cake bread pudding was delicious as well!
Service was a little slow, but food was amazing. 8 people 2 tables in the bar. Crab cake & shrimp alfredi was very good.
Great experience. Took my family to dinner and didnt realize the restaurant would be closing within the hour. The service was great, our food was great, and with a family of five, no one made us feel rushed to leave so they can prepare to go hm.
This place is making a comeback! It was great… then went downhill for a few years. We haven’t been in a year or so… but tonight when we went the food was great again! The waitress was nice and attentive. Of course the cheesecake is always delicious.
The food is good but the service is NOT what is use to be. I truly believe it depends on the time of day you come. I came around 5pm. My party along with a party who entered a few seconds after waited a total of 5 mins before even being greeted BY ANYONE, nor seated. No exaggeration! There was no hostess in sight. The bartenders, cooks, and some waiters walked past us as though we werent even standing there. Finally when both parties complained about being ignored the whole time, they made it seem like we were interrupting them from their phones and sidebar conversations. Yes, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM were on their phones then snickering with each other. My advice, get your food to go...SMH
They have ok menu options and great cocktails. I recommend the spinach dip and salmon dish. The service could’ve been better but I will return for lunch or dinner.
This was a gem to find! Although I wasnt to happy with the service at the bar but I will come back for the quality of the food! Bartender just didnt seem to friendly or very tentative when I was there. Service from the bar gets a 6.5 food a 8.8.
This place is delicious. Ive only been twice but the first time I got the crawfish egg rolls and lobster ravioli. The crawfish egg rolls were the most amazing thing Ive ever eaten.. Both of those are off menu now. So we got the crawfish bread and the crawfish ravioli. 😋AMAZING. The bread is just a delicious pile of carbs, cheese, and crawfish. The ravioli is fried and then drizzled with sauce and crawfish. Its a little bit spicy too. Definitely would drive back from Texas just to eat here. I really wish the one in Shreveport hadnt closed. 😭
Everything was absolutely amazing!! Our waitress was kind and super attentive and the food was amazing!! We got the pasta/pizza bowl, fried shrimp, and the frozen crash and burn! Our waitress brewed us fresh coffee and a cafe latte and the deserts were phenomenal!! We got white chocolate bread pudding and king cake cheesecake! The bread pudding did have a red sauce mixed in on it that I wasnt too fond of but the white chocolate sauce and the actual bread pudding are good. I definitely recommend bringing extra money so you can truly enjoy the experience!
The food is absolutely great every time my husband and I go! We havent been on a dinner since the pandemic started. We finally had the courage to go on a lunch date. The staff was great. Everyone wore their mask and the customers were at a good distance from each other. I had the Firecracker shrimp wrap and my husband had the seafood platter.
DO NOT eat here! I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a salad and basically received dog food (wouldn’t even feed it to my dog). The meatloaf broke my fork, mashed potatoes were like dough, the gravy was slimy and my salad was wilted. Emailed the corporate office and have yet to get a response.
Food was good. Service a little slow because we ate in the bar. It was my Birthday and the bartender didnt do anything to make it a special ocassion. Not even a complimentary cheesecake. Just dry and no emotion. Not typical service I expect from Cheesecake Bistro
It’s BOGO Cheesecake day!!!!I absolutely love the white chocolate strawberry cheesecake it’s really two treats in one!Fresh chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry sauce on a rich generous slice of cheesecake! Also got the fresh strawberry cheesecake for later!I recommend the cheesecake whether it’s BOGO day or not!
Not the best experience here. We ordered a wrap and a burger...pretty simple dishes. Took forever to come out and when it did it was disappointing. I got the crescent city chicken wrap which was so bland. And the saddest, cold sweet potato fries. Not terrible, but not great either.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the wait. I dont know who fried the oysters today, but they were the best fried oysters I have ever had. They were seasoned well with a little spice to them. I wasnt worried about eating anything else after that first bite. Our server Nicholas M was awsome.
Homestyle comfort food. While in town this place was recommended to us from our hotel front desk. I was actually impressed with this place. The food was good and our server John was very good. John really new his stuff. I personally had the Ravioli and it was very good. My companions had Chicken and Waffles. I had a piece of their chicken and it was juicy delicious.
To be honest, I actually enjoyed the food &, mixed drinks here. I was actually surprised by that. The Seafood Platter was seasoned &, cooked perfectly. I LOVE Onion Soup so, I ordered that &, it was fantastic!! My waitress was pleasant &, attentive. My only con was the decor. A little on the trashy side if you ask me but, I didnt come here for the decor, I came for the experience but, it wouldve been nice to look @ some decor more pleasing to the eye.
Nice restaurant. Portions were great for a great price! My husband got 4 pieces of chicken and a side. And I was full before I could finish my wrap. The wrap was very fresh and one of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had! Cooked to perfection. We did not order appetizers but they have great happy hour prices (half off). We ordered cheesecake (for obvious reasons, we just had to!and it was not the best cheesecake we’ve had. Very average. We would go back to eat here just not for the cheesecake.
Every time I have visited, the food quality has been simply excellent and the waiters are always attentive. They checked on me several times to make sure I was enjoying my meal and did not need anything. They are also very quick to give you a refill when needed.Great staff, great food, and great drinks.I always finish my meal with a slice of red velvet & a drink. One of my go-to restaurants.
You are getting good food, but paying prices meant for delicious dishes. And service is just ok. We ordered the "Spinach & Artichoke Dip," which was good but it was overpriced at $10.29. The "Salmon Cobb Salad" was $16.29 and my "Shrimp, Crab & Avocado Salad" was $15.99. They were both good and had a lot of meat, but with the quantity & quality you get, its still overpriced. The only really good/delicious item was the "Ultimate Snickers" at $8.29, maybe was worth the price.
