Was expecting more when I found my hotel had a bar. Unfortunately, I heard changes had been made, including the hours, food not being available, no karaoke, etc. that have turned this into a typical small bar place. Probably good for the guests in general, but disappointed me because I had to get rides downtown instead and walked back 50 minutes both Thursday and Friday night because of no rides being available (whether at 2 am or 11:30 pm). For what its worth, the drink were good and staff was good. Won almost $9 at my first gambling machine.

Very poor service. Bartending was not very attentive to all of his customers.

Stop going there few years ago when they raised prices for Sturgis week

Its a nice bar. Has some Casinos, and karaoke!

Weekday bartender was obnoxious to say the least. Weekend bartender was friendly, conversive and a fun character.

Bar/Casino that is attached to the Grand Gateway Hotel. Low light classic looking bar. Slots on one wall. We stayed in the hotel, and in every elevator there was a placard stating the nightly food offerings in Cheers. We were tired on Friday night and was going to just eat the pulled pork there. We get to the bar, and the barman told us that they did not serve food. And that the signs were wrong. But there is a Perkins next door.He was very nice, and offered to fix us drinks .. but we were looking for food.

In light of the continued discriminatory & prejudicial treatment of indigenous people by the Grand Gateway Hotel owner who also owns the Cheers Sports Bar & Casino, I wish I could give it no stars!! These business should all be shut down!!

However, in light of the continued discriminatory & prejudicial treatment of my fellow tribal members by Grand Gateway Hotel owner, my opinion has completely changed. If I had the option to give them 0 ⭐s, I would have.I absolutely will NOT give them a single penny, a single compliment, or a single second to attempt to lie their way out of this entire illegal and shameful situation. And I dont care if you are a Native American, a non-Native, a Good NDN, or a Bad NDN, you should NOT give them your support/money either because, by staying at the hotel and/or spending money at this bar, you are condoning the owners actions (and therefore, YOU are also a violent, racist, disgraceful individual). So, which side of this dispute are you on.........???

Same "feel" as the original TV series "Cheers". Nice place! Next to the Grand Hotel which is also a very nice place to stay with food next door at Perkins restaurant.. 2 thumbs up!

They change there audience and is working to gain customer service and support and bring a great fun bar on Lacrosse st.

Went tonight. Toilets were disgusting and karaoke guy was rude and lazy. Female Bartender was good pop was flat counters dirty. It literally was not same place it was few months ago

The experience some people and I had at Cheers Lounge was the worst we have had. One bartender ignored us when we flagged him down as he passed our table and there we only a few tables that had people at them. Another told me that there is no military discount, even though every table had a placard said that Mondays (the day we wentwas military discount night and refused to give me a discount. I went and ordered drinks for us at the bar and one was supposed to be a cranberry and [Absolut] vodka. Instead he used Smirnoff.The DJ they had for karaoke that night was another matter. He kept adjusting the volume of the music as it was playing. His lyrics display system kept getting the lyrics wrong or would display them in an unreadable format. The singers voice would come out of only some speakers. When singing, the person could hear themselves clear as day. Though, if you were in the back, all you could hear was the music. It was as if he was using the speakers in the back for the music and the speakers in the front for the singer. Instead, he should have been using all of them for both the singer and the music.This is one place we will never go again.

Great attitudes, awesome atmosphere. Definitely a great place to visit, or borrow a lighter.

Almost a 5. A bar in a hotel that is a dive bar, a pirate hideout, casino, chill, very clean, windowless wonderland to disappear into. So tired of the cookie cutter fake franchise bars. This place is old school but welll kept classic. 16 beers on tap, liquor bottles all over, chilled Jager. $2.50 HAPPY HOUR Dom bottles. Because its a hotel it has good class customers. 4 tvs plus one big screen. C bar, tables, casino slots. Bathroom attached. Free music playing. Nice dark low lighting. Pretzels and snacks free on bar.

My family and I were in town on vacation for the 4th and this little bar was so much fun. There was live music and the bartender, TOBY, was excellent! He deserves a raise! Made some great drinks and had good vibes all around.

Very nice local bar. This bar is connected to a hotel but it really had a feel of a local favorite. Karaoke was the theme for the night and there was quite a good turn out. Drinks were very reasonable with the long island ice tea being on special for only $5! The bartenders were very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I would definently make a 2nd round if I ever stood back in the area

Very great staff and karaoke often. My friends and I had a great time here and our waiter was spot on. He could remember what all ten of us drank and came to our table often to check on us. We left him a generous tip for his awesome service.

The first bartender we had an interaction with, was great. The second guy that clocked in, thought it was a good idea to insult me and ask me if I had covid bc I couldnt taste his weak seasoning in a supposed bloody mary. At that point, I lost interest in being there. He completely ruined my mood and time there. Ill walk out if hes ever Bartending again.

Worst place Ive ever been to I used my card there and for 3 days after that my card got charged the same amount everyday 166 dollars and I wasnt even there at all except the first day I used my card. Do not repeat do not use your card here cash only establishment. Ill be back on here to let you guys know if they gave me my money back.

Great place for a fun night karaoke drinks and a meal right after with Perkins connected. Love this place and this is not my usual idea for fun and drinks. Not to mention a hotel next door.

The hotel makes this out to be some hip club but it just a dive bar. Which is fine, I love a good dive bar, but when you make your space out to have a dance floor, casino, and bar I was expecting much more than a bunch of drunk grandparents milling about a small space with a couple state gambling machines.When you set high expectations you will only leave people feeling disappointed after they arrive.If they just would have advertised as a dive bar I would have given them 4 stars.

Love the atmasfer the DJ is awesome but just wish she would keep rotation the same Everytime you sing

The staff are very professional and polite. Drinks arent too bad, and every Sunday there is an open mic at 9pm. All acts are welcome!

Bartender was super nice and didnt treat us like we were from out of town. He also delt with my stubbornness towards drinks. Finally got a white Russian and it was fantastic.

Great atmosphere! Love Ashley and Ty. They know how to take care of their guests. Welcome you with a smile and mix the perfect drinks. Always a good time. Love that they have karaoke 6 nights a week!

Awesome bar, awesome service..Ty is the best bartender in town and makes you feel like your the best customer and he makes sure you are happy and hes very attentive, he greets you with a smile.

Ty and Peter are such great and personable bartenders! I loved being a patron there while on a 8 month project in Rapid City. They made us feel at home. Ill miss them!

The bartenders are FABULOUS (favs are Ty and Peterand they have karaoke every night at 9 (Jaime is FABULOUS too!!)! Fun place overall with good drinks.

Good karaoke barAtmosphere was good. Small but not too crowded. Enjoyed listening to the great Karaoke singers around Rapid City 😀
