Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Wichita Falls

Ooh, how is Cheddars? Cheddars is a pretty good restaurant. Its a great restaurant even I used to eat here with my friends at the time. I did have one friend who said that they mistreated their fish. I may agree that they might mistreat their fish, but the food is at least good. The little honey thing is great. The little honey croissant is amazing and Im glad they are free. They have great artichoke dip. I recommend artichoke dip spinach dip. Rather its really good and you should definitely eat here because it does a great place and I have good chicken strips. Good chicken tenders indeed. Yes, go eat here and rival and the greatness of of the food. I recommend it.

The food was great. The service was great. My complaint is regarding cleanliness. The table was dirty with dried on food. We were the first at the table since they had just opened. Salt and pepper shakers were greasy and cruddy dirty. Then worse thing of all, the bathroom was infested with roaches. Lots of baby roaches. Won’t be going back.

Visited for lunch, today. Service was BEYOND slow. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for the one refill we received on our drinks. Asked for lemon and it never came. Food was an exceptionally long wait. The steamed broccoli was tragic. It was obvious that it was WELL passed the time it should have been thrown out. There were black spots all over the stems and several pieces, there was actual slime on top of the florets. I had a double order of it on my vegetable plate, so half my food was inedible. Made the choice not to get a replacement because of how long the food took in the first place. Two people ordered dessert and that took another 20-25 minutes. We were just passing through, so we wont be back and thats a good thing

My husband ordered the chicken strip and shrimp entree. I order the blackened salmon entree with the bourbon glaze on the side. My hands had gotten sticky from the glaze. I went to the women’s restroom to wash my hands. I decided I’d better take a pee because we are traveling. Low and behold I go into one one the stalls and there were at least 24 roaches that I counted. I’m truly disgusted. I did tell the manger. He apologized and said he would take care of the problem tonight. However, that doesn’t fix my upset stomach, I can never un-see what I saw. By the way the manger was already aware of the roach issue. I would have taken pictures but my phone was left in the car on the charger.

My server was Daisy and she was phenomenal! She is the greatest person ever, she has saved my family from a fire, my cat from a tree, and even my own life. She is like a superhero! Not only that but she attended my table with great customer service skills! She is one of a kind, I def recommend her as a server. She needs a raise for all her hard work! Way to go Daisy!

I have always said that their catfish (whitefishwas the best as well as their home made tartar sauce. This definitely was not the case today. The fries were stale and cold, the fish was not good, even the tartar sauce was not the same and I didnt get the Cole slaw. My friend had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. The only thing good was the potatoes. Neither of us finished our meals. The manager, Scott, did comp my meal but not my friends. He is also going to send me a gift certificate, although Im not sure Ill use it. Very disappointed

The restaurant is always very clean. The employees are polite and friendly, and the food is consistently good. I am especially fond of the chicken fried steak.

So came all the way from Kansas City Missouri and checked into our hotel. We looked up places to eat and my family wanted to go to Cheddars and they didnt close till 10pm. So we went up there and all the doors where locked at 9pm so we call and they told us that we closed early because of a "special" occasion.

Disappointed in our last visit. Food was not hot. Ordered soup for lunch, it wasnt even lukewarm...the cheese wouldnt even melt on top. The waitress was so sweet about bringing another bowel out and apologized for it several times when it wasnt her fault. My chicken wasnt hot either and the broccoli rice casserole was like a jello mold from the late 70s. It still tastes okay, just disappointing that food wasnt the temperature it should have been. Croissants, as always, were on point.

Are server was not good she was like here up and order. My husband had stake and mash potato ask for brown gravy and mendem wall but he got know brown gravy she told them after she bought it out and the stake was more rare but she never came back to see if it was ok and no military discount at this one not good at all

The menu was changed drastically. Less than half if what was in the menu gone. The New Orleans Past was terrible. The waitress totally skipped asking me for more iced tea. I never got my garlic bread. This is the second time I two years that he service and food was terrible

We absolutely love going to Cheddars we love their chicken pot pie and their ribs in particular and their money Crystal sandwiches however weve never had a disappointment there in regard to whats on the menu and they only disappointments was when it was so busy there was no way they could keep up the staff is always helpful and friendly and they give you yummy croissants with honey butter when you sit down who could ask for more

This restaurant has great food and great service. We had the chicken tenders with house fries and the food was excellent. The appetizer croissants were out of this world!

Was seated quickly, had an amazing hostess. Super friendly and my wife and I talk to her about pokemon go for a good minute. Will return for the wonderful service. Hostess name was CM <gamertag

We walked in on Saturday night around 630 p.m. July 23rd with a party of 13!!! We were seated in approximately 20-30 minutes just as the hostess said we would be. Little did we know how excellent the service would be and how EVERY order came out EXACTLY as it was ordered. Carolina was the waitress who waited on all of us, she did an OUTSTANDING job!! Kept our drinks topped off, kept us informed on our food, she even had a sense of humor and seemed to really like her job!! We were all overly impressed as some of us have worked in the Service Industry. She stayed on top of things from the time we walked in til the moment we left. Just excellent!!Her customer service skills and communication skills were top knotch!!

This was my first time there. Im visiting from out of town. The server, Anthony ( TonyJ., was tops!! He was very attentive. Friendly. The food was great. I had the crispy chicken salad and a bowl of potato soup. And a glass of half and half tea.. It was spot on.. Not too sweet.Both very very tasty.Oh, the Croissants were Delicious.I applaud Anthony on his service. He is an asset to the company.

Very meh experience. The restaurant is very cold, with many seats being directly in the air flow of vents. The place looks clean at first glance but any closer looks exposed dust and dirt, the underside of the booths are never cleaned (I grazed it by accident it was horrible). The picture posted is the bacon cheeseburger, it was very bland. Along with the unseasoned fries this meal was disappointing. The waiter for my table was inattentive and didnt refill my drink until I asked her. This place is not a good choice in dining.

My absolute favorite place to dine in at! Excellent bar,service and food the menu is loaded with appetizers,meals,single serv items, dessert,drinks,and adult beverages. Staff is kind quick and helpful. Food is seasoned just right cooked to a 10 and the portions match the prices. So I definitely recommend eating here!!!!

We arrived close to closing time. Server was extremely nice. I know they were all tired and wanted to go home. Food was fantastic and service was even better.

Love this place excellent customer service and food. There chocolate cake is the bomb.!!!I brought three slices to take home wish I had a hole cake it was delicious!!!

Tonight we decided to order a family salmon meal. We were not disappointed the bourbon sauce was the bomb!!! The Salmon was cooked just right we were so happy we chose to order out from here. We definitely will be ordering again soon.

My wife and I took our granddaughter out to eat at Cheddars on 6/18/22 . We had to give our name at door and wait , Which on a Saturday night is to be expected so we finally got seated gave our drink order and our food order to waitress then waited . About 1 1/2 I was ready to just pay for drinks and walk away but my wife wanted to wait until food came. 1hr and 45 mins with seeing other come and go we finally got our food . Waitress brought out some more rolls and said she wouldnt charge us since we had been waiting so long . Finished eating and waited to get bill another 20mins . Worst time Ive ever had there. So dont think Ill go back . Save time and eat somewhere else. Not even an apology for the wait. Had one glass of tea cause never saw waitress. Service has gone down hill .

Flies everywhere spent most of my time using menu to kil them. Food cold and chips are cooking. In rancid oil. They smell like it.

Only part of the meal that was good was the spinach dip. My burger looked like it came from a box from Walmart. The shrimp did not taste well for being grilled. Green beans that aren’t supposed to be crunchy were. And found drugs on the floor in the women’s bathroom. Atmosphere was kind of ruined by the excessive amount of screaming children and when specifically asked to be placed in a booth, away from children, we were placed next to a crying child. Quality has dropped a lot and prices have been raised to high for the quality. Wouldn’t recommend.

What can I say. We went there on our way back from Albuquerque because it has always been one of our favorite places in Wichita Falls and they provided top notch food and service again. I seldom rate chain restaurants 5 star but our food and experience there clearly earned a 5 star rating. We will return.

Again me and friends went back the waiter isnt friendly, first time lady was Rude! I call spoke to Manager. We went back and we wanted appetizer, wasnt ready to order, I told waiter make sure our crosuiant are hot, they came out Cold! We just got up and left.

I got the New Orleans pasta. This was the saltiest mess I have had. I really dont like to leave bad reviews from places I have been... So I will say their spinach dip was eatable... But again I have had better.

This is the best Cheddar’s I’ve ever been too. Our waitress was perfect. Food was as it should be. I had chicken tenders and sides, wife had the vegetable plate. We had an app of chips and queso. They served croissants as soon as we set down. Old school Cheddars is the best.

Havent been in awhile decided to try it out yesterday with family from out of town.We were seated and noticed tables were dirty including the one we were set at. Floor was filthy food and trash on it. Looked like someone had a food fight. LolWaitress never came over for a long time when she finally did we ordered food and queso appetizer. When she finally brought us the chips they were floating in grease and smelled of rancid grease. It was so strong smelling we place them off our table on a dirty table by us. When the waitress came by we told her and she took them back to the kitchen. She returned and guess what with the same chips she took back. We could tell cause the chips were exactly on the plate and they still had broken ones and even salsa dumped on them. Floating in grease and stinking.Food was horrible potpie was pretty much empty of filling... The only thing good was a salad.This place is horrible and management is nowhere to be found. I have a call into corporate regarding this so Im sure they will contact me!

First time at a Cheddar’s. It’s a chain place, so don’t expect the exceptional. Only one complaint; the fries that came with the chicken tenders (those were goodwere tepid, soggy, and bitter. Anything but “scratch!” Monte Christi sandwich was mostly bread but otherwise good.Service was fine, & we appreciated the complimentary croissants, which were very tasty! I’d compare Cheddar’s to Applebee’s in many ways, if that helps anyone. Reasonable prices, decent food.

We went to Cheddars today, everything was perfect, just the way we ordered it. Service was good. We ordered our usual, so to be fair. His chicken tenders and fries were hot and tasty. There was a new spice on my grilled chicken, very tasty.We will go back. .

Came into this place a few months ago with my family absolutely loved it , how ever it was tonight that has changed my opinion now, came again same amout of people , noticed it was kinda busy, also seen tons of waiter staffed , was told it was a 45 minute wait, I said thats fine we will hang tight and wait, about 17 mins into lt seen multiple family seater as well as left before we were even talked to, at that time walked us around and there were 4 full booths not being used at all but over staffed waiters ???? Never would I complain but tonight has showed me I will pay for service over getting none! Will not be back again or recommend it

The food wasnt great except for the cheesecake, there was no bartender, but the server was very nice and helpful and she is the reason for the 4 star rating vs a 2 star.

We had a fantastic family lunch today! Mekayla was our server and deserves a huge shoutout!!!! She made my strawberry tea perfect, not too sweet, and had a kind presence.I ordered the vegetable plate with soup, broccoli, sweet carrots, green beans and fries. Everything was seasoned just right, the carrots added a hint of sweetness to my plate and the green beans tasted homemade. My husband ordered Buffalo chicken wrapper which isn’t spicy and it came with grilled chicken. The ranch that came with his plate was amazing.I recommend paying this location a visit!

Somehow, they made their low prices still seem like we overpaid. Service was polite and terrible. When the plate of coconut shrimp with sauce, cole slaw, and fries was ordered with a substitute of the slaw for a side salad, it came out eventually but was just a plate of fried shrimp, no sides, so sauce, just lonely shrimp. The server was very sweet as she explained that it wasnt "mandatory" to get sides with the plate that was ordered.

Family friendly atmosphere with awesome table side service. Good time had by all.

We took a family trip down south so we stopped here for a bit to eat. The staff was very nice the restaurant was also nice. For my wife and myself the food isnt as good as we were remembered.

Morgan was amazing! Everyone in our party was impressed. The rolls are amazing. Steak cooked perfectly. Ribs were tender. All the food and service were awesome! We even showed up with a group of 8, and hostess arranged a table within 5 minutes during a dinner rush on a Saturday!

The whole experience was great!!! I was seated quickly. Audrey was my waitress, she was awesome and sweet as can be. Never had to ask for a refill, she checked on me right after I received my plate to make sure everything was good. My dinner was hot, fresh, and delicious (cooked to perfection).The establishment was clean inside and out. Everyone was being safe. I will definitely be back and soon at that.

Went there on a Monday evening, was greeted and sat at our table quickly. The waiter was nice and our food came out in a timely manner. That was the best part of our experience. Ordered cheese bites as an appetizer. Just didnt taste right, dont know why maybe the grease was old. We both ordered steaks medium rare, wifes was rare and mine was close. Both of us got the broccoli cheese casserole, this was not that fresh tasting. I was unable to finish my food which is unusual. While we were sitting there I looked down at the crack between the cushions, not very clean. This might be picky to some but I feel it isnt.

Very tasty and efficient and very eye pleasing presentations. Friendly wait staff. And very tasty desserts. And the nachos were awesome. Free crossiants!

Been to this Cheddars a few times and really enjoy it. The servers and staff are very kind and I havent experienced anyone mess up an order. Drink glasses stay filled and maintains a presence without being too pushy. Whether lunch or dinner Cheddars is always a good choice. The only issue I had on this visit was my apple crisp lacked the crisp. It was very soggy albeit hot quite tasty.

Overall the wife and I enjoyed this restaurant. It was very tasty, and the presentation of the food was nice. It wasnt better than Cotton Patch Cafe, but they had a nice selection of food to choose from, and if you go before 6pm you can get the lunch portion which I suggestion, because they give you a lot of food, and the lunch portion is still plenty of food for one person. I had the salmon, and it was seasoned nicely. The white rice however was not seasoned, and undercooked. The rice in the broccoli casserole however was great. The chicken the wife had was juicy and flavorful. So we recommend those dishes to try. The atmosphere of the place was nice and quiet and you could actually hear yourself think and talk without yelling. The manager was nice she brings you a cookie on your birthday and thanks you for coming and it was my birthday on the 9th of January.

This is a good concept: the scratch kitchen. We visited the place 3 times in a row and each time the food was tasty with decent portions. Not sure if this is a chain or franchise, I will frequent when near one.
