Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Bristol

Nice place, gets busy early evening pretty much walked in and sat down for lunch. Typical Cheddars prices, not too terribly high.

Part of my food was bad. I had turned on the call button on our table needing our server because our green beans were bad. 15 minutes later she walked by, I stopped her and told her we needed service. She then said that their call buttons were not hooked up to anyone. There was a light flashing on it. She did replace the food but we were all finished with our meals by then. Not sure it was all her fault. Management needs to connect their equipment. Otherwise all was well.

Great food, working in the area. My first time at this restaurant, service was great food lots of flavor. Enjoy

Omg this place is amazing! Everything was so good! We had the country fried chicken and homemade pot pie with chocolate cake for dessert! FIRE! Definitely recommend this place to everyone! Our server was this tatted up young lady who was extremely helpful and sweet ❤️

The shrimp Alfredo was a little bit overwhelming they had used a little bit too much spicy on it my wife’s dinner was good just didn’t have much glaze on it if any other night it was OK it has been several years since we’ve tried cheddars because the food is just not that great and 10 years later I might try it again

Date night, always enjoy this Cheddars located on Old Airport Rd. Bristol, Va exit 7. Ribs, shrimp and Salmon were all cooked to perfection. We dine here frequently when we come to Abingdon.

Monte cristo sandwich was fantastic as were the drinks. Restaurant was clean, service staff were attentive, restrooms were sanitary and in fulfilled expectations. Wide selection of public favorites such as ribs and burgers, but others as well. Will return.

It had been a few years since coming here. My friend and I shared the cheddar bites and I ate lighter with potato soup and the honey butter crossiants. It was lovely and it is always a bonus to see the gorgeous fish tank.

The food was great the atmosphere was wonderful and we had a great hostess always greeted us with a smile and always very keen on what we needed

This was one of the only places in Bristol open late with food service. We were grateful. Service and service was wonderful. We lost track of time and stayed too long. Now a single person said a word about us holding up their closing.

The food alone would get 5 stars. Getting served the bread and no bread plates is bad. I do not like having to eat off napkins. The floor was a mess. But looking at it they either dropped a plate with a rice dish in the floor and did not sweep it up or someone ate throwing food everywhere. But no matter what someone should have swept it up. Just laziness. If you take orders in a specific order, then do not need to ask who ordered what with the drinks and food. Always serve women first. Do not keep putting the dirty payment systems on the table when removed. Yes they are dirty as I watched 4 tables bussed and cleaned and none of those kiosks were sanitized. Do NOT handle my items and set them from a seat to a wet table. I am not sure who the gentleman was that was our server but he truly needs some training.

I love Cheddars croissants..... but this place in Bristol is NOT THE PLACE TO GET THEM!!! I literally ordered 2 big foil boxes full of them and they barely put enough honey butter on them altogether to cover 1!!! Ridiculous!!! People spend good money at your place of business but that’s what we get. My hometown cheddars in Lexington Ky blows you guys out of the water!!!! 1,000,000 times. You need to cover them well! Also the Monte cristo was not even crispy on the edges, I don’t even know if it was deep fried or whatever. Was just bread with melted chees and meat inside😡See photo for my plain croissants

Nope! Never again. Went in, ordered drinks and food......the waitress never came back. I went to the bar, got the 1 beer then the two waters. I explained to the bartender that the waitress never came back and I was not waiting any longer.After that, the waitress still did not come back to the table so we left.If you are planning on eating there, I suggest bringing your food from somewhere else.

The one star is due to the employee who stole a tip from my debit card. Provided horrific service and I guess she thought she did a job worth stealing for! Told manager, said I’d be refunded and was not. It’s unfortunate because cheddars is great. Just monitor your bank after eating here and don’t rely on management to care.

Good food, very nice restaurant. Little pricey for what you get, but I would go back.

the one at exit 7 in bristol va. has really went down hill. no wonder all the businesses are going to the pinnacle shopping center. do yourself a favor and drive 7 more mins to a better restaurant.

I ordered tilapia and shrimp. My wife ordered grilled chicken and shrimp. She said hers was good. I bit into the tilapia and it wasn’t cooked through. It was rubbery and that was all she wrote for me. I told the waitress to take it back and she offered to have it recooked but at that point I could not eat. I ended up in the bathroom sick. While I was in the restroom they brought out the check and my wife paid for her meal. They did take mine off the ticket but I felt like they should not have charged us at all. We have eaten at Cheddars many times and it was always good but after that experience I will not be going back. The manager only said “we are sorry about that,” after l came out of the restroom and my wife was outside. I told her I was disappointed that we were charged for the other meal while I was in the restroom sick and they couldn’t wait til I came out before bringing my wife the bill. She offered a coupon but I told her she could keep that after that experience. She never asked if I was okay or anything. We did leave the waitress a generous tip though because she did her job well. Hopefully your experience will be better but I’m done with Cheddars.

I like Cheddars. Its not a Michelin 4-star eatery, but the food is good. My wife joined my lunch buddy and I. She started with a girlie mixed drink and really liked it. I had a 23 oz draught Blue Moon. My lunch bud, ever the miser, had ice water. We ordered a cheese bites starter. The breading was crunchy but airy, flavorful, with a mozarella filling just barely cool enough to not burn the mouth. Not bad. My wife had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The chicken was tender, a nice amount of heat, the wraps were steamed, and made for a nice lunch dish. My bud and I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger, a full 8 ounces of lean ground beef. Our waitress asked if medium well was okay. My bud agreed, I asked for medium. They arrived well. Minor whine, since the flavor made it fine, and for both of us it was a 4-napkin affair. The fries were okay, a bit limp upon arrival. I added mushrooms for an extra buck, but they got lost on this bigass burger. Overall, we all left with full tummies and pleasant smiles. Toast the buns a lot darker, cut the bacon strips in half before cooking, Add the condiments in the kitchen. Last word: hungry man sized burgers could go from okay to taste bud tickling excellence with 40 seconds of kitchen time, crisper fries are a must. That would get me much closer to the 5-star rating.

The bread was good,server sweet but stupid,put coffee in plastic cup it spills all over the gentimens gentile and could only say oops im sorry,no manager no nothing

Food was great but they forgot to bring our salads til after the meal.

Drinks are pricey, but everything is now! I hate I cant remember the bartenders name, I think Ryan; he is so sweet, respectful and cheerful 👍I ordered "fresh french fries" and they surely were 😋

Every single time my partners and I have eaten at Cheddars it has always been superb. My only grief is that on a very rare occasion the food was a little off. Other than that , its all made fresh , high quality , and absolutely delicious. Some of the only good chain restaurants still around.

The burboun salmon was delicious 😋 along with the complementary buttery rolls. Design of the restaurant is so pretty and peaceful accompanied by very attentive and polite staff. Its worth the stop to grab a bite!

Great comfort food. Prices are reasonable. Service is quick. Its hard to go wrong with this pick.

Was seated for more than 10 minutes without a waiter acknowledging we were seated. No concerned seemed to be noted when we informed them we hadnt been waited on and was leaving

The waitress was very kind, entertaining, and made extra sure we got the correct order. We had the bacon cheeseburger, the smokehouse burger, the delicious rolls, and the amazing monte Cristos. If you havent tried them, get them!

One my favorite restaurants! The spinach dip is awesome and the food is great to! They have great salmon and broccoli and cheese casarole, key west chicken is great to but I dont get the pico I use their sweet glaze on both makes them awesome!

Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Very nice outdoor seating with umbrella shade available. Service was great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. Will definitely return

It was late and we were turned away at a couple of places.But we were taken right to a table ,and had a wonderful server. Great food and good management. I will be back.My Grandsons Graduation was yesterday and It was lovely memory and experience.

The waiter was AMAZING! She was so kind asked a million times how we was and checked in and refilled out drinks. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted AMAZING!

Always good! We did ask for a booth in a more private area because we have 2 kids under 2 and we didnt want to interrupt other patrons. They gave us a table in the middle of everyone and that was horrible, but otherwise it was good. Our waitress was really nice.

The wife and I had never heard of this place until a construction crew recommended it. We enjoy trying new places to us and we were glad we did. The service was fast, and the food was awesome. Grab a meal here and you wont be disappointed.

They were very accommodating. I accompanied a group for a college class reunion. My salad was excellent!

We came from Blaine, Tennessee. My husband decided to pleasantly surprise me since he knows I love Cheddars. I love the croissants dribbled with honey sauce. I ordered a Sprite and my husband ordered a diet coke but it tasted awful so he ordered an unsweetened tea. It took 5 minutes to get someone to come change it. I ordered the Chicken Dijon and my husband ordered the fish. Another waiter brought our meals.The chicken was a bit overcooked but not horrible. The coleslaw was fresh and the broccoli cheddar was yummy. There was less rice than usual but I am not complaining since it means less carbs.I usually give 5 stars to my Cheddars and Ive been to a few of them but this one I give a 4 star.

Food and service is always amazing! I have never had one complaint about this place! Highly recommend! I always have to get a dessert as well because its too good to pass up!

Every time I come here you get rid of something else to save your pocket a buck or two!! I truly do not like your restaurant at all anymore!! Shame on you for NOT LISTENING to your patrons when we speak!!! I heard that MANY people are complaining about the fact that you dropped so much from your menu....Yet you could care less!! If you want to take something away....Take away all those nasty raw onions you put in your salsa....and bring back the meat in the queso!!! WAY TO MANY ONIONS!!!SHAME ON YOU FOR RUINING A GOOD THING!!!!

The steak was great, service was also great. This will be our place to stop at. The green beans tasted sweet, not out thing. The country fried steak was fabulous. My hubby liked it. And very reasonably priced.

So I went to this restaurant with my family and got terrible service and food, not only that the table they gave us barely accommodated us, the waiter brought me my drink and it was flat I asked for another and it was seltzer water, when I ordered my food which was steak and mash potatoes she asked how I wanted it, I said well done no pink, after 40mins of waiting.on our food it came and I got my steak cut into it and it was raw inside, I asked for it to go back she had an attitude about it, so it came back the manager brought it and said if you anything just let me know, well i had broccoli on my plate and they didnt even bring that back SMH, so I cut into my steak again and yet again it was pink, by this time I continued to pick out the parts that were not pink but couldnt finish it cause it was pink, the service was terrible the food was terrible and the accommodations were terrible, save your money and go else where this place isnt what ppl make it out to be, I am very dissapointed.

My family regularly eats at Cheddars and we love the food. Typically, the portions are huge and you really get your monetary value out of the meal. However, tonight I picked up some Cheddars and my kids meals as well as my husbands burger meal had a much smaller portion than we usually receive. My husband (no exaggeration, see photoreceived less than 5 fries TOTAL. Pretty ridiculous and as a fairly regular customer I’m very disappointed.

Very disappointed. Took a few bites but cant finish because its so terrible. The steamed broccoli is mush. The green beans arent green beans and theyre also mush. The beans and rice is really just sausage with a little beans and a little rice. The cut off the cob corn is not cut off the cob.

I like the Cheddars on Old Airport Road in Bristol, VA. I had heard good things about it.The food was very good. I enjoyed my Grilled Chicken Sandwich, the barbecue sauce on it tasted great. Only bad thing was one of the bacon strips was burnt. The other bacon strips were fine. (Picture of burnt bacon strip attachedThe tomato wasn’t the freshest but it was alright. The waitress Mandy was friendly and attentive. She did a good job, earned a nice tip. All the employees were very welcoming, they seemed happy to see us.

This was a stop for a long time coming. I have been by the restraunt several times and have always wanted to eat there and after visiting I was sad I passed it up many times before now. This establishment was by far one of the top places I have eaten at that deserves at 10.Everything cooked as ordered...service was excellent and can only say I have never been more pleased in such a long time! Please make a stop for yourself and see if you find out for yourself. Youll never be more pleased.

The ambience is so calm and relaxed. Very kind staff. Youll receive a complementary appetizer, it was pastry with a buttery/cheese sauce. The food was delicious and was served fast. The strawberry lemonade taste real good. The portions are on the bigger size. Too bad there is none closer to home.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is cozy depending on where you sit. But that is about all I can say. We both ordered steak and we both had to send them back. One was too rare for a medium well and the other too rare for a medium rare. I sent my steak back twice and they still did not get it right. My baked sweet potato must have been cooked too long as a lot of it was burnt.Their loaded baked potato soup, however, was excellent. Their prices are reasonable but our first experience was not satisfactory.

Food was great and food selection.Really good for family or large groups, lots of room. Good menu for kids. Very large aquarium. Friendly staff. Right off 81 for quick access.
