Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Fort Myers
Description
Privilege
The atmosphere was cheerful as well as the wait staff. My food came out just the right temperature. Coming from New York I enjoyed my first dining experience in Ft Myers.
MoreReally nice place to eat with the family. Nice but not stuffy. Home cooking menu, good bar also.
MoreSaid food from scratch, not so. Its okay, but I wouldnt go back. I thought maybe it was good food because its always busy.
MoreHonestly have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Great food at a fair price, and the crossiants are to die for.
MoreI love going to cheddars. But Ive never tried the New Orleans Pasta. But it was so good and it was a lot of food. I couldnt finish it up. My server was extremely nice and the atmosphere was great.Ps: I added the chicken tender. It doesnt come with it.
MoreI went with family to spend time and enjoy dinner/drinks.Drinks were delicious, food was ok. I would go back and try something else other than the chicken.Service was friendly and quick.
MoreReally surprised by this place. I didnt think it would be as nice as it was. The food was great and you got a lot of it. The price was really good also.
MoreSpring is one of the best servers ive ever had here. Food was pretty good. they forgot to remove the broc from my dish but not a huge deal.
MoreLiterally just ate dinner there. Yuck! Ordered steak, MR and ribs. Steak was well done and ribs were Soo fatty I could / would not eat them. Best part is our server didnt ask ONE time how we were doing so I could voice my grievances. She didnt give any recommendations upon greeting us, or after bringing drinks and apps. She never brought silverware even AFTER we had our meals and were just sitting there looking at our food. Thank god the food runner noticed we didnt have anything to eat with. Terrible service. Will definitely NOT go back.****Management reached out to me offering free meals. I declined and made sure they knew I would never eat here again it was that bad****
MoreCame here to enjoy some good food. I wanted to say our waitress Cheyenne was amazing. Lately, even before the hurricane service in most places as been meh. She was professional and on top of things. Very prompt. She might be dealing with personal issues as most of us are right now, maybe she isnt, but either way she kept great composure and did her job well. A table behind us seemed like they might of been difficult to deal with and she never made it upset her.She had a smile he entire time. Thank you for great service.
MoreFood was excellent. Unfortunately our dinner took an hour to come to our table! Other tables were getting their food within minutes of being seated. Some very young children were squealing and screaming making it very uncomfortable. We requested the manager to come by, who was very nice. She totally was apologetic, investigated. We more than likely will not return to that Cheddars.
MoreWe were seated @ 7:00 p.m. on Sunday September 24th,After a 15-minute wait we were still not greeted at the table. We were seated in the bar,And never seen our waitress. Out after Out after bringing this to the managers attention who could have cared less. After bringing this to the managers attention who could not have cared less.
MoreI have never left a review ever, but Cheddars was terrible. Fries totally overcooked, chicken tenders terrible! Wait staff standing around talking and the restaurant is FILTHY! I keep trying to support my local business, but this place is awful. Please, clean up your restaurants and take a little pride. This may be my last straw! It was my first and last time.Do Not believe the reviews that give this 4 or 5 stars...I wish I had not.
MoreThe chicken strips with their dipping sauce with the side order of onion rings is to die for. One order is plenty enough for two people. Ill be back again.
MoreCan we say "chefs kiss" ? The food was delicious, waitresses were friendly, alcohol was top notch. I ordered the salmon with honey bourbon glaze, broccoli casserole and baked potato. Everything was perfect. ESPECIALLY the croissants. Highly recommend this place, definitely plan on returning!
MoreThe food was very good and the server was great! My only complaint is that the ceilings fans above us were incredibly dusty!
MoreI would give negative stars if I could. What a terrible experience—-one of the worst family outings ever. First of all, 3 of the items we ordered they didn’t have. Monte cristo being one of them in which was the main thing that brought us in. Then our server waited about 20 mins to come back and find out what else my mother would like to have. They didn’t have any frozen beverages when they’re advertised everywhere. Once we received our meal, they decided to tell my father that they didn’t have what he ordered—-when we ordered atleast 20 mins prior! How inconsiderate is that! Not to mention all of the mashed potatoes that we got were cold. The manager came over to see what else they could offer my dad—-my dad ordered a steak and she said it was on them. He gets his food and the steak is way under cooked. He ordered medium, medium-well and it came out very rare in the middle. Listen, I work in the serving industry and I know it’s not easy/things happen but this was unacceptable. Not only that but our server was almost laughing when she kept saying they didn’t have what we wanted and today was not a joking matter—especially for my father whom just lost a dear friend.
MoreThe food was very good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend if in the area. Mid priced food, but on par with surrounding area menu prices.
MoreThis food was so good... We order 2 chicken sandwich and a monte Cristo all with a baked potato food was hot and delicious.... I couldnt ask for a better lunch... I wish I could give you ten stars
MoreFinally, we were able to get to try this place out! The atmosphere is comforting and inviting, very sleek looking! Now the drinks, watermelon vodkatini, was out of this world if you are a fan of watermelon! From the croissants as a app to the main course! Definitely recommend this place, and the price for the serving size is worth it! We all went home with a to go box!
MoreNot sure what has happened to cheddars at least this location. It used to be a go to and it has just been very disapointing every time we go. It has been at least 1 year since i have been there so randomly decided to give them another shot again. We ordered the tenders, a burger, and the shrimp alfredo. The most enjoyable part about this visit was the amazing service we got from Eduardo! He was excellent. The food was not. The burger and pasta were very bland no taste at all. It may be awhile before we return.
MoreWhatever you order make sure you include a glass of raspberry sweet tea! The best I have ever had. Try it with a shot of vodka too. I love how everything is made from scratch. Enjoy, you won’t be disappointed.
MoreThe food was good!!! Nice and clean environment as well. My waitress was cool.
Terrific food, great value and Excellent service! A favorite of myself and my family! Definitely stop by, the Pot Pie, Monte Cristo sandwich, and the Ribeye steaks are just a few of our favorites here.
MoreI wanted to like this place. Nice building, nice ambiance, handsome bar area. The only problem was the food. They gave us complimentary croissants with honey butter. We were not impressed. Cold, dry, crusty croissants are not good.We tried the Chips and Queso sauce. The cheese sauce was like water, the salsa that came with it, was like canned tomato sauce with a few chopped onions in it. NO Flavor at all !We wanted to share a burger, so we got one with cheese and bacon, I think. WHERE is the BEEF ?Skimpy, wimpy burger on a cold, stiff bun, served with the WORST French fries we have EVER HAD !SCRATCH this kitchen off your list !
MoreHoney butter croissants were warm & flaky. The cheddar bites were amazing! I shared the country fried chicken with my son & it was huge. We also had the fish, burger & Monte Cristo sandwich which were all tasty. Our waiter was really sweet & helpful, but I think he got a bit overwhelmed with his other tables at times because we would occasionally now see him for like 10 mins. When he did appear, he was very attentive.
MoreWe haven’t been there for awhile. The restaurant was fully staffed. We went there for a free birthday dessert. The food was good and service was excellent. The dessert was enough for two people. We took the cake part home. The only thing I miss is their onion rings. They have been off their menu for awhile.
MoreThe service was attentive considering that the restaurant was crowded, which we expected bc it was Saturday afternoon. I ordered a bacon cheese burger. We were hungry. My burger was dry. The other folks meals were okay. I was told this place was great. Sadly, not when we went.
MoreShoutout to server Shakira who took such good care of us the first time we went, making sure we are returning customers now. Amazing young lady!!The food has always been great. Service is quick, friendly and professional. The croissants are to die for. I saw them on the menu under appetizers, even though we get them on the house as soon as we sit down. Now Im always ordering another serving to take home. I havent been charged but I feel so bad because I like to pay for it and dont want to make it look like Im trying to take freebies home.Really love this place, the wonderful servers and the great food.
MoreIm not a Local Guide so this is actually a real review! 2nd time and last time I will be going to Cheddars. The first time it was really good so I arranged a few groups to meet there for a Saturday dinner. Wait time was typical and acceptable. Service was horrible as the waitress was extremely crabby... Croissants are delicious but took 20 minutes to get. The only other good thing was their Coke as it is almost perfect. However the rest is downhill from there. All of our food came out room temperature at best. ... Then forgot sauces ordered and had to wait even longer to eat out food. Not One person said they enjoyed their food Not a great experience to say the least. With all of the food choices around our area this wont cut it. Management you need to hire happier and better servers. A Manager walking around to ensure proper service also may be in order. Good Luck!Sorry Cheddars
MoreAlways a great experience, I love their Chicken Alfredo just need to add a tad bit more of sauce sometimes theres a perfect amount if sauce and sometimes its really dry. Maybe Ill eat in next time instead of doing a pickup. The croissant on the other hand is amazingly Delicious!!!!
MoreAlways great food! I have had their sirloin steak many times, as it is one of the lower calorie options. (Love that they put calorie info on their menu!). Steak is always cooked perfectly to my med. rare preference. Everything good, well-prepared... can tell its "from scratch". Also, a very good value for quality food... especially here in southwest FL, where restaurant prices tend to be high.
MoreGood experience. Good food, good drinks, service was good, waiter was attentive and friendly. This place gets busy later in evening on weekends and especially during season, but we didnt have to wait long when we went. The croissants with the icing are so good, light and fluffy, definitely recommend those.
MoreDelicious! Great service by friendly Nick! Everything was great. We had registered on their app to get a free appetizer. *note: give yourself several hours before going to receive the reward! It took 5 hours for ours to show up! Had chips and queso. They cooked the steaks perfect, the broccoli cheese was right on! My husband said the coconut shrimp was super. Definitely a keeper!
MoreMet friends there yesterday (Sundaynoon. Was told by a very professional young man that he was training a new waitress so they would both be working our table. Service was exceptionally good except that one order was missed. The young lady apologized and took responsibility. Got it out quickly. The service was very noteworthy especially compared to many restaurant experiences these days. Food was very good as it usually is.
MoreWe thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Its a busy location (there was a 10 minute wait to be seated at 5:30 pm on a Thursday), but the staff are efficient preparing and serving the food. The complimentary honey butter croissants are fabulous!
MoreClean Restaurant. Great Atmosphere.Server was very attentive. Food was Delicious. Must Try the Croissants. Will Not Be Disappointed.
MoreWeve visited the location here a few times already and always enjoyed the food and the service. Came during lunch time on a Sunday and it was 15 minutes wait. The complimentary sweet croissants were delicious but I feel like theyre more like desserts. I ordered the salmon and the meal was delicious. It came with rice and 2 other sides which was a great deal. My friend ordered the chicken wraps and they were good and generously portioned as well. Cheddars is one of my favorite casual restaurants to go to.
MoreThe restaurant reminds me of an olive garden. Wait time was about 25 min at 830pm, party of 5. Sat us at a booth n Steven waited on us. He provided excellent service. Lightly frosted croissants was brought out to us. I ordered the chicken pot pie (looked good on the menuand a blue moon. My food was good, just the right amount of chicken. Everyone was blah about their food.I would certainly go again. I didnt know they had one in my neighborhood.
MoreGreat service all around - thank you Matt for the great time and wonderful recommendations! We had our first ever visit on Christmas Eve before we went shopping at the mall on a relaxing day off from the grind. We drive by a lot, so we finally got the chance to check it out.We were warmly greeted by a super friendly host in a fun holiday sweater as well as a few servers who were walking by on their way to their tables. There was no wait and we were seated in a comfortable booth under a beautiful fan and skylight. Our server, Matt, was there immediately to welcome us and briefly discuss menu options for drinks. We got a draft blue moon and a bottle of fat tire. Our drinks were ice cold and hot the spot. When he brought our drinks, we also got complimentary honey butter glazed croissants which were soooooooo good! They were sweet and savory... Who doesnt love a warm croissant? We ordered the Wisconsin cheese bites appetizer which were crispy and seasoned really well. We would definitely get them again. For lunch we enjoyed a vegetable plate which came with either a salad or soup (we chose the house saladand four sides of my choosing. Glazed carrots, corn off the cob, fries and cheesy broccoli casserole were my choices. We also ordered the fried chicken with grilled shrimp platter with fries. Everything was hot and cooked well.Cant wait to come back!
MoreThe food was very delicious. The service and atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Overall, had a great experience.
MoreExcellent experience as always, had the Salmon dinner with broccoli rice and coleslaw everything had great flavor and taste
MoreGreat food and great service! Not to mention those Croissants!!!Edit: 9-26-21Still as great as we remembered. We honestly dont come here often because the food is pretty rich, but it is SOOOO GUD! Had the 14oz Ribeye (rare of courseand the lady had their veggie platter (basically pick any 3 veggie sides). She started with a house salad which she had no complaints about, and also the Texas Margarita which she said was also well made.Steak was really nicely done. Pan seared which is great given the seasoning. Perfectly rare, I mean red top to bottom with just a beautifully crusted outside. Very delicious! We didnt have apps aside from the croissants, which are apps enough! No desert this time around but well see about next time!Oh, we were VERY pleasantly surprised at only a $40 bill. Thought for sure the Magarita would be 8 or 10, but was only 6. Great quality at a great price.
MoreNice portions fair prices and the best part of the meal for me was the Pain Killer sauce they serve with the Coconut Shrimp its amazing.
MoreYes. Yes. Yes. This place is amazing. Food was great. Portions huge. Fantastic service. Was not at all disappointed. Texas margaritas were phenomenal.
MoreFood was really good ,I never heard of a Cheddar, but will Court my eye was its a scratch kitchen and you can taste that everything was homemade and fresh the apples was a little overcooked but the pork chop was really good the broccoli cheese casserole was excellent never had that before and the coconut shrimp was to die for they got some sauce called painkiller really delicious it was a pineapple salsa bled thumbs up my server the bartender is really nice just playing to me about the menu that makes a big difference keep up the good work
MoreThis place is always great. Anytime Im in South Ft Myers off alico my wife and I go here for dinner. There was three of us tonight. We sit at the bar fast service and close to kitchen. Always get the onion rings as an appetizer they are the best in town. Never greasy always always crisp and delicious. I always get the salad with the sides. The wife got the fried shrimp. Our friend got the steak and shrimp everything perfect.
MoreGreat choice! The food was prompt and hot. It wasnt any wait time which was surprising for a Sunday afternoon. The food portions are a good size and the prices are easy on the pockets. There is a full bar. They can accommodate large parties but please call ahead.Lillian was my server and she had great customer service! (2 thumbs up). I ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp with corn and broccoli casserole as sides. The tenders were breaded perfectly and the shrimp were huge. You will enjoy you dining experience here.
MoreNot a bad spot. Everytime Ive come here its been good. No complaints. Good choice in restaurant when people in your party want options in food. Good drink menu and lots of different choices on the menu. I had to go with salmon, trying to be healthy but they have steak, burgers, wings, you name it. Decent spot.
MoreMy girlfriend and I had lunch here today. We took advantage of the classic lunch deals. We started off with an appetizer before that - the spinach dip with chips. The spinach dip had a dollop of sour cream in the middle. All in all, it tasted fantastic, and its a pretty good sized portion of spinach dip for $5.99. Ive seen smaller portions at other restaurants at more expensive prices. It also had a lot of chips left over, so they didnt skimp on that either. From the classic lunch deal for $7.49, I ordered the house salad with pomegranate vinnegerrate dressing, and a half-order of the Cheddars Club. The dressing was decent, it was a bit sweet, but the salad tasted fresh, and was a good sized portion. The salad did come with a crescent roll that was delicious as well. The sandwich was ok, my only gripe being that the turkey, for it being as thick as it was, had the texture of bologna. The flavors of the sandwich was kind of bland too. Couldve used more mayonnaise maybe. My girlfriend had the lunch deal as well, but instead of the salad, ordered the potato and cheddar soup. Those flavors popped.I washed it down with a raspberry sweet tea, and it tasted fantastic. My girlfriend approved of it as well. The sandwich was the only blasé thing about the meal. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves here. And for only $25 total.
