Chateau Golan - Winery in Al Mafraq, Jordan
Chateau Golan located in Golan,Syria🇸🇾
The owners were very nice and welcoming 🙂
We enjoy the place a lot after the black fall route. The owner of the place explained us about the winery and the different wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sirah, even we didnt order a table in advance...
Very nice tour and wine tasting.Venue is nicely landscaped.Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Excellent
The new kosher wines are fantastic! Try all 3
Tuscany is in Israel. Felt like I was in a typical Italian family lunch like in the movie Godfather. Wine was delicious, the rosé wine was prefect for the hot spring day we were there.
I was recently in Israel with my relatives and the six of us went to Chateau Golan because of a recommendation by a friend. When we arrived we were given a tour of the winery by the owner. He explained how the wines are made and showed us the store room where they are kept. He then brought out a variety of wines for us to taste with fresh bread, cheese and fruits. By the time we were through, I was totally drunk. We did have a great time. I would highly recommend visiting this winery. We did buy several bottles of wine which we brought back with us to the US.
Simply amazing. Feels like tiny france.Great hostess and amazing wine. Very good price for the value.Make sure to make a reservation!!!
Boutique winery is about 20 years old. Very tasty wine. They have a visitor center where you can taste wine
One of the most beautiful and high quality wineries in Israel. The staff is very professional and welcoming, Gilat the owner sit with us and explain about each wine. The yard is absolutely stunning, such a relaxing place to enjoy from glass of wine and cheese plate. There is a large and special wine cellar. don’t miss it.Fantastic experience !

Nice Golan Hight winery
Amazing place, great wine.
Nice place, but too commercial
Nice atmosphere & good wine + interesting story of local winery & people behind.
The tests are great and fun. The wine was a bit too pricey.
We had a terrible experience here, and we recommend others to avoid the place. We were a small party. One of us ordered the tasting (which costs 45NIS, that they give back if you buy a bottle). From the onset, the attitude towards us was of "you should be thanking us for even letting you taste our wine..." We sat in the garden and asked them to replace our glass between the tastings. We explained that the taste and aroma of one wine could interfere with that of the next one. This is a no-brainer in any winery around the world, but in Chateau Golan they refused fiercely. It did not help that we asked kindly to at least rinse the glass with water - they refused this as well. They explained that changing glasses is just not needed and that it causes too much work (!). We kindly told them that we are the only people on the premise. But it didnt convince them either. The women in charge came out to us, and after two sentences started to raise her voice. We asked her why is she raising her voice; after all, we had a reasonable request, and we talked kindly and politely. But this did not help stop the shouting. The bottom line: they make good wine, but so do many other wineries in Israel. Their attitude towards customers is outrageous; the wine is costly and does not worth the price and impertinence.
Amazing place, great hospitality, in a natural habitat area......
Great wine and amazing visit. Beautiful place.
Seems like a great place to visit after hiking
Excellent wines. You get to taste these wines with a lovely host (we had Karen, charming and knowledgable). The wines are far from being cheap as they stand in the first row of Israeli wines.
Wonderful experience with great wines, beautiful setting.
I enjoyed my brief visit there. It is a classy winery in a beautiful area in Israel. The wine is known for its quality. Wine tasting seemed in line with this
beautiful place, very good selection of their boutique local wine and great tour.highly recommended!
Wine is good but very expensive. The tour was professional. Thank you Offer
Excellent local wine, sold by very warm and welcoming people
Came for the second time. Told them we just wanted to try a few reds in order to buy some. On the gate it clearly stated that if you buy the wine, wine tasting is for free. We bought the most expesive wine in the house, 50 $, yet we have been charged 10 euros for tasting which included probably 150 ml (if???of reds. Not happy, we did not find it professional, especially for repeat customers and we shant be back again. P.S. Please do not bother to reply.
Grat vine but cheating staff - charged vine tasting after purchase although it was stated different at the entrance. We warned them about that but they ignored it.
This winery worth to go all the long way to Golan Heights. Merlot is my favorite 🍷
What a great experience beautiful grounds beautiful seller amazing table and terrific wine. Definitely one of the best wineries in Israel.
We had the tour and a tasting menu including their own wine selection and local cheese. We learned a lot about wine making with a very professional guidance of one of the employees. Ask to go down to the wine cellar.
Their place is amazing!M Dad & I done so much fun! We found in love with this amazing view (even on the road)! The wines was really good and u can feel that this is something delicate . The wine full of richness!
Excellent wine and pleasant sitting with the winery manager, Ribak. A great day trip, with a fun visit to Eyn Aya spring afterwards.
Visitor center is not really ready for visitors... The wine is very good from my experience and is much cheaper in the winery than in the market.
Nice place in the Golan heights and tasteful wine!!
Boutique winery with great staff and every more incredible wine.
Beautiful winery, tour is great. Nice Golan height scenery, close to some nice hiking trails. The wine itself is one of the best produced in Israel.
Better than anywhere else, The experience is a great opportunity to combine good wine tasting with warm hospitality.
I visited this winery in 2013 and bought a few bottles of their royal reserve merlot. I found it again at the duty free store at Ben Gurion airport for $40 a bottle. Its delicious!
