MoreIve passed the access road dozens of times over the years, now I have visited I wish Id made the effort earlier. Its a wonderful lake with crystal clear water, lots of walks and picnic opportunities, intresting 4 mile preserved collery train route, a big dam play area and multiple cafes and ice cream vendors....pretty nice day out
MoreI come here all the time I have autism and theres a spot I will always cycle up too as it helps clear the mind I have been in the main bit of Chacewater but I found it a little to busy for my liking but where I go its always peaceful its a massive area so u all have plenty to do some people clearly cant read as it says dont swim or paddle in the water but people still do u have people that come from all over its a clean area at times but visitors that are not from this area will chuck there rubbish on the floor with disregard to nature of u ignore them two small down sides u would definitely enjoy it over at Chacewater is there is so many different stuff u and ur family can do its also dog friendly as so many people walk with there dogs which is cute to see u not only have that u also have the lil forest areas that are around also so no matter what if ur in to a busy life style or like me u like the peace and quite theres a spot for anyone I wish I listened to my brother sooner then I did as I just love it here
MoreOnly recently discovered this country park. Its a great location for a day out with the family.
MoreThats such a nice place to take a walk and spend time in the fresh air, nearby to water reservoir. Its a clear way to car park, quite big enough, Exhibition Center, playground and picnic area, wake boarding trail and lovely paths around the water. Its possible to be a passenger of special railways on Brown Hills station. Great experience and also occasion to meet wild animals in the forest.
MoreLovely place to walk, participate in water sports or ride your bike/scooter/skateboard etc. Theres a playground with equipment thats suitable for children of all ages & a cafe. There are also plenty of picnic tables for you to enjoy a picnic if you prefer.Theres also a railway that does short journeys along its line, which is wonderful.Theres definitely plenty to do for all the family. A great place to visit. 😃

MoreLovely sunny day at Chasewater yesterday the waters up never seen it that high
Love this place is very calming and peaceful. We had a lovely time, apart from the man with his dog off the lead with no recall at all.. We go here alot we sit and listen to the water rippling away. Closed thing to feeling like you by the sea if you cant afford to go away. My kids loved it when they were growing up. Now my dog loves the walks and the doggy ice-cream
MoreIts a really amazing place and cheap car parking, only £3.00 for the full day. MoreLovely place for a walk, run or bicycle ride
I love it here. Most people are friendly you come across. Mostly clean, some irresponsible people not picking up after their dogs but on the whole its a lovely place. Seen the deer up close a few times now.
MoreLovely walk, very quite on the paths around. Deer currently with young so dogs are kept on lead. Lots of wildlife to see.The parking is £1 for 2 hours. Plenty of spaces available. £3 for all dayThe park has been completly stripped. Was disappointed that the children wasnt able to play or no signs to let you know this before hand. The park has been completey rebuilt, very nice play area for kids also is wheelchair acceptable with some of the play areas too. Updated 25/6/22
MoreNice place to visit for some fresh air, walk and/or picnic! Fab place for all the family with kids playground, cafe and plenty of wildlife to see. Unfortunately avian flu has been reported there so don’t expect to feed any of the ducks, swans etc. Lovely to walk or cycle around the edge of the lake, along with a visit to the Chasewater Railway. Nice little museum and a ride in the steam train too if you like! We will be back!
MoreBeautiful place to walk with family and friends

Theres so much to see & do here:- Just an amazingly beautiful walk around the lake, theres a short wooden bridge, a lovely raised section, & an off track path too- A lovely cafe with inside & outside seating, some of the outside seating is covered too- Another amazing cafe at the train station section thats fenced off with inside & outside heating- Theres also a small caravan park on the waterside- Theres also loads of water sports here too but Im yet to have a go at themWill be returning here soon
MoreA lovely picturesque walk round a beautiful lake. More signposting would be helpful. Large pay and display car park available.
MoreBeautiful walk around the lake, good to see dogs on leashes. A nice kids area and a cafe with an ice cream van.During summer gates close at 8pm
MoreLovely lake. Takes 1 hour to walk round. If you’re a fast walker. Lots of water sports to do. Good easy path. Can wear trainers.
MoreGreat place for a walk. Could do with a better track to go all the way round as you cant walk through the boat club so end up having to go on the road which is a shame.
MoreTook my daughter to Chasewater to cycle around, car park pay & display meters barely work.. took several attempts to purchase a ticket. Cycling is extremely limited around the water itself and a lot of ways are just dead ends or impassable on a push bike! We went to the cafe at the innovation center, there were 4 people behind the counter.. only one person being served in front of us.. we were completely ignored by the other 3 who were standing around doing absolutely nothing?? All of them definitely worked there as they were wearing polo shirts with the logo on.. they were utterly useless, rude, ignorant and unprofessional.. nobody even acknowledged us, so we walked out on principle. Cant say I would recommend Chasewater as its very limited on what you can do if your not there for watersports. 👎👎👎
MoreFantastic place to walk your dogs. Well sign posted from start to finish. £1 for 2hr parking, £3 for all day. Ice cream van on site. Toilets and gift shop.
MoreGreat place to walk beautiful country side a must to visit great for dog walking.I had not been around here in years I was very surprised how lovely it was.Nice places to stop for refreshments a nice park for the children.
MoreLovely place. Great for a walk. My son loves the park. The cafe has the best ice cream!!!
MoreAnother great walk around the lake, with some close up wildlife.
Outstanding place to walk car parking is very cheap and it supports the country park. Stunning in all weathers. Amazi g sunsets also
MoreGreat walk around lake although foggy and muddy.
Another favourite for me on my park-life list of regular places to visit to lift my spirits. Yes indeed people; you need uplifting I suggest you take a walk around this pleasant oasis of serenity. Just £1 buys you a calm environment for two hours and some people might even wish you good morning! A nice view and some goodwill, that’s a good deal for a quid!
MoreBeautiful place to take the dog. A quick paddle in the reservoir then a walk along the path. There are a couple of cafes /ice cream shops or bring a picnic, theres lots of tables and benches and grass to sit on. The car park is reasonable... All in all, a lovely place to spend a relaxing day.
MoreBeautiful location but the park is currently fenced off while being newly refurbished and the castle was fenced off for the swans to nest. Still had a nice walk but but went primarily for the park. Hopefully ready gor out next visit.
MoreLovely place to visit, £3.00 parking all day, gates close at 8, walking, boating lake, Railway full size & a 7¼.brilliant Cafe, toilets (must wear a maskToday we are celebrating 40 years of Barrett Engineering in the Engine shed, here till 4 today & 10.30 till 4 tomorrow. 11th & 12th September. It was an absolute pleasure to run gauge 1 in the Engine shed 11th and 12th, the staff are friendly & helpful everywhere is clean & tidy & the train ride was lovely, even think you can get Membership card x well worth it if you have got youngsters that love the trains 😍
MoreDisappointing visit, only the toilets which were not clean, a nonfunctioning hand dryer and one toilet had hazard tape blocking it off and pier 52 were open. Canadian geese poo all over the pavements, the kids castle was blocked off with no explanation signage, there was no play area for kids open, they’re having a new area installed as photos show but not complete at time of visit yesterday and full parking charges were in force. The car park also had potholes. Will not be returning and suggested you don’t waste your time on it either
Moregood place for walking, biking and watersports as kayak, stand up paddleboard, ring etc. All kind of watersports you should book earlier
MoreChasewater Country Park has a 90 hectare reservoir and vast green open space.Ideal venue for the whole family to enjoy from bird watching, walking, cycling and riding on the heritage steam railway.
MoreExcellent place to enjoy the nature, wild life, fitness, to improve your mental health, to have a day out with your family.A new Caffè The Shed has been recently opened offering many varieties of Italian desserts, gelatos and coffees.£1 for 2 hours parking.
MoreGreat place to visit, plenty of space for walking or camping. Family friendly with small kids too. Can spot some wild deers and swans or others birds if walking around the lake.
MoreLovely day out with the kids, cheap all day parking. Great to walk to the Train station and see the steam trains & pick up cake from the cafe. Only thing letting it down is the childrens play area has been dismantled with no date for it to be replaced
MoreLovely day to walk around. Takeaway café open for hot drinks to warm you up. Toilets open.Parking reasonable. £1 for 2 hours or £2 all day.Longer and shorter walks available.
MoreGreat place to walk the dog or take children. If you want a longer walk too you can follow the blue or green routes and walk the entire way around the parameter of chase water. Passing both train stops. You can enjoy stopping for a drink in the cafes or following the walk at a leisurely pace it took us maybe 2.5 hours to walk all the way around, only stopping now and again for our old Staffy.
MoreBeautiful place to go for a walk and a good mooch about. You have a wide range of things to do here from the walking trails, playgrounds, crazy golf, paddling pools, pebble beach, castle on the water, water sports, steam train rides, railway museum. There are a great set of public toilets too, and the whole area is dog friendly. Great place to take the family and a great place to take some time out.
MoreGreat place to visit so close to home. It was a windy day but we enjoyed walking around and our daughter loved riding her bike. We went into the cafe where there was a nice selection of food. Our daughter went on the small park and we saw some the boats out on the water. Parking is very reasonable at £1 for up to 2 hours and £3 for all day. 2hrs was enough for us due to the weather.
