Chase Club in Saint-Louis

Spanky Entertainment Dueling Pianos had the honor of performing at the Chase Club recently, and we couldnt have been more thrilled. Excellent atmosphere and delicious fare set the Chase Club apart as a top-notch hot spot in the heart of St Louis!

The drinks and service were excellent.

Good food, nice vintage aesthetics. Perfect service.

Well, it was busy before a Cardinals game I understand, my waitress was just not glad to be there. Beers at ball park prices should be served with a smile...💯

Took us 20 mins to get our water, 30 mins to get our drinks. Can’t do the slow service.

Went on a Thursday night about an hour and forty five before closing. My food was absolutely delicious . My Partner, on the other hand, her veggie burger was not good. I tried it myself, super let down. It was bland and overcooked. But everything else was absolutely amazing. We had Honey Sriracha Wings, Fried Calamari, and I had the Pub Burger and fries. Oh and a couple whiskey sours. The wings were some of the best I have had in St Louis. My burger was perfectly medium well cooked, and juicy. The Staff was friendly and courteous. The prices were reasonable. They had a DJ that night, and there is patio seating with a large outdoor fireplace.PS. I have had their veggie burgers in the past and they were always good, so probably just an off night.

This is an upscale hotel restaurant with a great patio. Being able to sit outside in the city without being bothered by car noise is something you dont get often. They resourcefully use a fountain splashing into the pool as a way to add white noise over the traffic noise. Genius! The cocktails and food is also excellent and the staff was very friendly. I really liked the tuna poke appetizer which was way more than I expected. The burger was good, the fries so so, which made me glad that I placed an order for a side salad instead. Did to a mistake I was served fries, thus I had to at least try them before the salad arrived. And here I was, proud to forego the fries and yet got beat by the system. I only ended up trying a few, though.

Franklin and Greg were amazing and made the night. Very engaged and friendly.

The menu on Google was totally different from when we ate here. I asked the waiter about the discrepancy and he said, ",Oh, that was two menus ago". Isnt it the responsibility of the management to update the menu being advertised to the public? What youll get here is a limited menu of mediocre bar food at a high price. The manager, if there was one on duty, was not visible. The restaurant was understaffed. The waiter did the best he could, but was stretched to thin to provide good service. We wont be going back here to dine or drink.

We booked The Preston at The Chase Park Hotel and they moved us to the Chase Club — very mediocre limited menu and some options weren’t even available. It was also incredibly cold and uncomfortable air conditioning that they recognized but couldn’t do anything about. Overall a very disappointing experience other than that our waiter who was a sweet guy (which is the only reason this is not one star).

Decor was beautiful but food was ok.Small portions for the amount per dish.

Edit: 3 stars. The manager reached out to me to personally apologize for my unpleasant experience and offered me a voucher to use on a future visit (which I likely wont use, given I am not from the area). Still, I was very impressed by his candor, and based on our conversation, I am sure that service will be improved.Original review: 1 star. Extremely loud. Extremely bright. Literally had to stand up and wave my arms to get the bartender’s attention.

The seating was for skinny people with long legs that can sit in a high-rise wobbly chair. The server seemed like we were wasting her time and did not even ask if we wanted something to drink. The food was average. The noise level was atrocious, my husband and I couldnt even carry on a conversation at a decent level. I understand that it was a bar and grill type place but still they should have seating appropriate for everyone and away from the bar if possible.

Cool location. Definitely coming back with my wife to chill before movies.

Good atmosphere. The food was decent except for the onion soup. Its served in a bread bowl that absorbed the soup and left it mushy. Its also too sweet.The other dishes were good!

Met up with my family here. They kept the drinks rolling. The atmosphere was perfect and the location is beautifully designed.

Cool little place. Good food, good drinks but definitely hotel prices.

Have been visiting for many years. This was a lack luster experience to say the least. Evening bar staff was sloppy and drinks were of below average quality. Not worthy of an institution that associates itself with Presidents and Vice Presidents of these United States.

The wait to get in was quite long, 35 minutes. The food was great and portions were appropriate. The service was a little slow, but Im sure it was because they were short staffed.

We enjoyed the bacon wrapped pickles and the pub pretzel. The bartender was super helpful and friendly. It felt like home. Will return. Would recommend.

Server was nice. But definitely disappointing for my first experience at the Chase. Sports bar vibes but with upscale bar prices- very inconsistent. Not what expected for the Chase.

We had our holiday business dinner here. The atmosphere was energetic laidback. The Manager Michael and server Craig were on top of everything we asked for. The food and drinks were delicious I’m glad we picked this place . The inside of this hotel is just gorgeous holiday decorations.

Wonderful hotel. Bizarre management at the bar. The bar tenders were lovely, as were the drinks and aesthetic. Beware of the manager Michael + the enforcer England (Angler ?), who attempted to forcibly remove my group for ordering in outside food— after the bar tender encouraged us and many others to do so because the Chase Club kitchen was closed. Really couldn’t imagine a worse way (or more pathetic show of forceto end an otherwise lovely stay at The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta. If they wanted us to move to another table to make room for a large group arriving from another wedding, they could have just asked…

We took my kid and her friends for birthday party dinner. We had a total of 11 people. The reservation was effortless. They were readied for us when we arrived. We valeted our cars. The restaurant had a nice decor and a relax atmosphere. There is a patio with pool adjacent to the restaurant. The patio was beautifully decorated. Everyone had a great time and took pictures at the patio. There was no delay with our food. Everyone enjoyed the chicken wings and Neapolitan flat bread. I loved my Royal burger and Shrimp burger. They validated our parking before we left. The food was delicious and inexpensive.

Great atmosphere inside the Chase hotel, right off the lobby and pool deck. The food is good but expect to pay hotel prices. The woman at the door who seated us was fabulous (I wish I remembered her name), but the poor bar staff looked overwhelmed and hurried the whole time.

We went for brunch on a Sunday morning. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits and I had the Chicken and Waffles. We ended up sharing and both were delicious. Its important to know that they validate for Garage or valet parking. Parking can be difficult around the Chase Park Plaza hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. However, the hotel marketing team, owned now by Sonesta is missing a nostalgic opportunity. In the 30s. 40, 50s, 60s and beyond, this hotel hosted many celebrities and Presidents. Why not have souvenirs with THE CHASE on it. Have regular old fashion martini glasses with THE CHASE. Have postcards.....give me something! Also, we had a numnutts server out near the pool. He had no clue about service or flexibility on our requests. Unless some changes made, I would check out THE FOUR SEASONS HOTEL.

The Physical presentation is very nice but the follow thru of service was not up to what it should be. It took forever to get waited on, and forever to get our meal ...basically over an hour just to be servedOur food. I had to go up and ask what was going on. Food was acceptable, not memorable and nothing to write home about. Disappointing! Wouldnt recommend and dont bring anyone from out of town so you arent embarrassed..enough said! Too bad!

The outdoor patio is lovely to dine. It was especially wonderful today with the wind gently swaying the trees back & forth.Sure, service is slow, but have you people read about the service industry right now? Hello? Do you consider that your complaints are the very reason servers are refusing to return to work?Anyway, I am giving three stars for two reasons - to which I hope catches managements attention.First, the medium Burger came out DONE. Really uncool for a Missouri hotel of your caliber. We do not believe in wasting animal product so it was consumed, thus we did not verbal a complaint. But when in doubt, undercook beef - you can fix undercooked.Second, Chase Club should refrain from describing halved Roma tomatoes as chutney in their future menu printing. Had the delicious Shrimp & Grits description just read tomatoes I would have made a query to better understand the prep. But it explicitly read tomato chutney and chutney is not whole food. I was disgusted. I hate raw tomatoes. Yucky!This said, the server brought me out a shredded white cheese of his liking and turned my frown upside down! I asked for white cheddar or gruyere or whatever, he brought a smoked gouda and it was perfect!Presentation for both items was on point.Chase Club takes their mask policy seriously. Please respect them or go counter service yourself elsewhere.

I came here for the location and was surprised that the service was incredibly horrible. Epic. The maitrd wasnt there when I arrived for nearly 10 minutes and when the bartender finally greeted me she said Id just have to wait. It took for ever for the waiter to take or bring my order. Definitely more than 30 minutes later he came and asked if Id already eaten........I would expect more from the chase.

I was disappointed at the service received. The drinks werent made correctly and had to be sent back. The manger had to be called. Also the initial appetizer was not good and sent back. This the worst Ive received at the Chase Club before.

We stopped in for a Saturday morning breakfast to cure the hangover. Our server was attentive, and had a good personality. He seemed cool, calm, and collected, which is always comforting in a food service environment. The food was just what we needed. I swear, my husband demolished the burger and it still looked pretty on the plate haha. The prices were reasonable and there were bottomless mimosas to take advantage of. I really enjoyed the lighting and vibes too. Come here for boujee without breaking the bank.

The restaurant on Lobby level is excellent however, they have a serious bird problem that completely detracts from the otherwise great experience. Birds flying near you while eating/drinking. Bird droppings all over the patio furniture. Feathers falling down from the nests onto your drinks. Its very unsanitary and unpleasant.

Great server named Alex and a bartender named Sean who was very helpful. Sean greeted us with a smile and answered several food and menu questions before our server came. Food was very good. Ive been there several times.

Enjoyed lunch there today 9/17/2019! Best lunch I have had in a long time and I have lunch out almost all week days!! Shrimp dish my mom ordered and salmon I ordered were soooo good!! Mine came with a red cabbage and carrot thinly sliced side salad that had a delicious dressing and very fresh taste along with a rice/seed mixture that was just right with it. Each dish on the plate enhanced the salmon. (Same with my mom’s shrimp). It was a little pricey ($15 for the shrimp and $22 for my salmonbut worth every penny! Great place to dine before or after watching Downton Abbey at the Chase theater. Valet parking is free with theater tickets! I’m taking 6 friends to Downton Abbey followed by lunch at the chase club. Can’t wait!!!

Went to the pool and enjoyed some food while there. Burgers were good as well as salads. They’re served on a cardboard container due to being by pool. I’m not sure they recycle though which would be easy to implement. Fried pickles were the best!!!

The service was terrible!! My food seemed to be a few days old. They took it off the bill as they should have. There was a table full of white people that came in, and I watched them get excellent service. Saying someone is racist is a huge deal. However, the difference in service was obvious. I even had to send the water back that we got upon arrival due to hot pink and lavender lipstick being on two of the glasses. How do you miss lipstick on a clear glass? Definitely not hygienic. I will not be visiting this restaurant again! They ruined my mother’s day!

I love Art Deco and you can see a number of elements from that era around the hotel. The place is very interesting to explore and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Also, the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place when visiting St Louis.

Love the atmosphere, but was surprised by how small the menu was. When I did find something, the waiter then told me they were out of it. I dont know if they have specials, but none were given to us of so. We did love the lobster turnovers and pork belly & brussel sprouts. We definitely want to return and try breakfast buffet.

As hotel restaurants and bars go, this is a very nice one. This is the more casual of the restaurants inside the Chase. It has sports on TV over the bar and so forth. "The Preston" is also inside the hotel, and thats the more formal restaurant.Average to above-average food, good service. Nice place.

Visited with a friend for a quick supper before we attended an event at the Chase. We shared the lamb flatbread and the roasted brussel sprouts. Both had wonderful flavor. My friend and I are foodies and we were really impressed with the brussel sprouts which included small whole carrots and pearl onions. The sprouts and carrots were halved before cooking and were cooked to perfection. We laughed about how such a simple dish could be so delicious. Service was good. We enjoyed a specialty cocktail of which there were several to choose in addition to the expected beer and wine selections. We went back after the event for dessert and cappuccino and sat outside where a fire was burning on the patio (which did get a little smokey a couple of times). There was live music inside. We shared the chocolate caramel cheesecake with pretzel crust which did not disappoint. They were even nice enough to make my cappuccino decaf. The portions here are not the large size that has become the American standard so if you are a big eater or really hungry, take that into consideration. This is a lovely historic hotel in what is known as the classy Central West End neighborhood close to iconic Forest Park. My only complaints are that nearly all seating inside is tall tables with stools. We were seated near a window with a view, but we were cold because an air conditioning vent was right above us. Outdoor seating is standard height tables and chairs.

We went both Friday & Saturday nights to this lively night club located in the beautiful Chase Hotel near Forest Park. There was a different band each night. Customers were dancing the night away. The music was loud so we sat around the corner from the bands. We enjoyed watching the happy predominately young crowds dance. We definately will come back to visit the Chase Club the next time we stay at The Chase. Thanks so much.

The kalbi wrap was excellent. Burger was overcooked even though ordered medium. Service was pretty decent. Knocked down from a 4 because of price. They must think because of the location it is fair, but that hotel is overrated as it is.

Beautiful location and decent food but I expected so much more from a service standpoint. It was overly complicated just to get a seat among 20 empty outdoor tables. When we needed to make a small order change, we got a deer-in-the-headlights look.

All high seating except for 3 tables. No one in restaurant and we were seated next to a post in a dark space behind some bar stools on the pathway, 4 feet wide, from kitchen just 10 feet away at a 2 top. Really?! I asked for us to be moved to another table and we were graciously reseated but it shouldn’t have been necessary. The place was empty! We ordered The Chase Dip which is basically a French dip and said we’d like to split it. It arrived and looked quite good except one half of the sandwich had NO meat on it. We shared what meat there was but it was sparse. Not worth the price at all and so very disappointing. We asked the chef to be notified about the sandwich but got no response.

I took a day off and decided to go to a movie and have dinner at the Chase. After the movie, I went over to Cafe EAU. They had jazz and I love jazz. The group was The Joe Mancuso Jazz Quartet. They were awesome. I could have, and was planning on, listening to them all night. But was so hungry and so disappointed in the service, I left after a few hours.When I got there, I first sat at the bar. There was only one other person seated and two bartenders. I waited until I wondered what was taking so long to be waited on. Finally, I just got up and approached the bartender and asked for a beer.I walked over to a table and sat down. No one waited on me so I had to get up 4 times to ask for a beer. The last time, I asked the bartender for a menu and asked if they had a someone waiting tables. He said yes. So I went to the table and looked at the menu. They had some pretty pricey items, but I was really hungry. I wanted a Kobe Beef Burger ($15). No problem. I waited for at least a half hour but No one came to take my order. So I left and went someplace else.If it werent for the music, I would have left after 30 minutes of terrible service.

Only been to the bar/club side. Very nice, avg price for drinks (roughly $4 a draft beer), live music on weekends, good fun atmosphere. Not your typical club scene either. Wish they could stay open til 3am though. GREAT patio though, perfect summer place. I need a damn rewards card for this place since I visit so much in the summer.

Always have a fabulous time. The only bar in StL I frequent since I hate the city in general. It is pricey but well worth it. Loud yes, but overall a wonderful atmosphere. definitely glad I was introduced to it when I turned 21!
