Incredibly interesting palace if one wishes to learn much more about the Prussian monarchs in Prussian history. The palace has multiple buildings for viewing, and some of the rooms are incredibly detailed, while others aren’t that detailed. The audio tour guide was a huge help in really explaining the significance of the buildings, and all the rooms. So many rooms!Taking a star off because some staff were a bit brusque at points and there wasn’t really enough to go into the other Prussian monarchs. With the audio guide, it’ll talk one’s ear off about Frederick the Great, but other Prussian monarchs and nobles made use of these buildings too, which was lacking in the audio descriptions. I wanted to know more, but one will learn a lot about Prussian history anyway. The open garden behind the palace is amazing for a long walk, plenty of paths, and in the front, there are sometimes light shows on the building’s front. Pretty cool. Would recommend visiting in Berlin.

One of the best experiences I’ve had! I highly recommend going through the palace with the audio-guide. It explains all historical backgrounds and points out many details of each room. That results in an even better experience! 100% worth it.

We went there on a Wednesday morning and it was pretty empty. The palace is very grand and magnificent with wonderfully sculpted gardens to go along. We bought tickets and took the tour of the old palace with a multimedia guide. The guide is quite informative and well done. We toured through the rooms of the old palace and also checked out the exhibition on the Hohenzollern dynasty on the second floor. Unmissable is the princes silverware collection. Later we also checked out the beautiful garden. Prepare to spend 2-2.5 hours touring the old palace and gardens and getting insight into the life and settings of Sophie Charlotte and her husband emperor Frederik. If you also want to check out the new wing, get the combined tickets and set aside about 3-4 hours in total. Unfortunately we were a bit short on time so we couldnt visit the new wing, but we would definitely some day come back for it.

The staff here are some of the nicest I ran across during my trip, and I have met only pleasant and helpful people in Berlin. These guys were just, above and beyond though. Oh, yeah, and this palace is a Baroque and / or Rococo lovers dream. Take the audio Tour, it is worth getting a ticket for the entire place, New wing, summer residence, and Mausoleum included. Bring a picnic to eat in the beautiful gardens if you can.

Be careful because you will need a couple of hours to see everything! The palace has really breathtaking elements however I visited for 2 hours and it was NOT enough. I had to make a fast paced walk to finish the old and the new wing but it was worth it.

Very nice place to visit, but only if you have a lot of time in Berlin. It takes some time to get here, since it’s quite far from the city center. Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful and everything, but it’s nothing compared to Polish Wilanów or French Versailles. The gardens are visibly not taken care of on a regular basis, which was quite a surprise. However, the ponds are very sweet and give off good vibes. If you’re a fan of this type of buildings, definitely come to visit.

Beautiful palace easily accessible from the center of Berlin. Somewhat “typical” palace design so if you have been to others, you might be able to skip the interior tour and just enjoy the gardens, which are free. The audio guide is decent and certainly enhances the tour although it’s not as engaging as some. We spent about 2 hours here on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t very busy.

We visited Charlottenburg Palace on a Wed morning after buying tickets online the previous evening. When we arrived there were a few people ahead of us but the queue moved quickly. The self-service tour (commentary provided by app which can be downloaded on arrivalis approx. 1 hr and the rooms you get to see are impressively decorated. You can also take pictures if you like.Note: Charlottenburg Palace operates a one way system which is strictly enforced by the staff in each room so make sure you have seen/ photographed everything you wanted before moving on 😉

Beautiful, expansive palace with an astonishing garden! The gardens are free to visit, but the palace is definitely worth the ticket price. Rooms are well presented and the audio tour offers great information. Stunning collections of ceramics and really pompous rooms, definitely worth seeing.

Beautiful to explore around knowing the history , a nice garden and water fountain at the back, if you walk through garden you will see the river on the right and lake on the left side, good to relax in such natural place. Also the royal mausoleum is near to the lake, tickets 3Euro for entry for adults.

Its perhaps the Berlin Monument with the biggest history. Its a pitty that visitors are not allowed to take photos on the ground floors rooms, but its worth to listen the audio guided tour to know more about this treasure in History. It displays beautiful forniture and items. Genuinely I had the feeling of being in a far better place then Versailles. Visitors buy the 17 euro ticket with access to the 3 pavilions and garden. its worth every cent of the price.

The Palace-turned Museum is simply aesthetic to look at. Even though it was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War, it has been restored magnificently. The rooms have been preserved and/or restored fabulously. Would certainly recommend taking the overall Schloss Ticket which costs around 13,00€ (saves money). A certain "must-see" location in Berlin!

Brilliant audio tour around countless rooms, most of which are furnished. We spent many hours here so great value for money! Photography not allowed in many of the rooms in the main Palace but more relaxed in exhibitions and other areas. We bought tickets that included entry to 3 separate areas including old and new Palace and pavilion.Entry to the garden is free.

Beautiful Historic architecture. A must visit place for people who love photography, and silence. The Park which is just in front (or behindthe Palace is so beautiful. There are a lot many seats to sit, and during Spring the Park is full of colourful flowers. The place is really nice, and worth visiting. Keep in mind, the Palace is quite far from the S Bahn, a bus needs to be taken to reach the Palace.

The palaces are beautiful and stunning, the architecture is amazing and also the breathtaking.I like the fact that some of the original architecture are still in existence and well preserved here. There are audio guides that take you through the palace in chronological order, which helps navigate the palace. Also I’ll suggest to go early so as to not rush and enjoy the journey.

During my stay in Berlin there wasn’t one day where I wouldn’t pay the Charlottenburg Palace a visit. It’s a huge park in the heart of Charlottenburg. Depending on the time you have, you can take a short 30 min walk or even explore all the greenery in 3 hours! There are elements of water and beautiful trees, with rich history! I got to see the park during the winter time, therefore the flowers weren’t blooming yet but even though it was grey and gloomy it allowed me to take a break from this big city life. Definitely a must if you’re a nature lover by heart! Further to the back of the park you get the feeling of actually being in the nature. Not only do you get to escape reality by wandering through the flora, but there are many ducks and swans in the park that are lovely to look at!

The Palace took its name from Sophie Charlotte of Brandenburg, the second wife if who became in 1701 King Friedrich I in Prussia. The "Philosopher Queen" transformed the previous small leaure Palace of Lietzenburg into this sumptuous into a private retreat, from where she used to meet with talented and smart creatures and thinkers, the most famous was the genius Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz who helped her to facilitate the founding of the Berlin Academy of Science in 1700 by her husband, who was at that time still the Elector Friedrich III before being the King in 1701.King Friedrich I renamed the Palace as "Charlottenburg " in the honor of his wife, Philosopher Queen, who died prematurely in 1705.Let the photos reveal the beauty of this distinguished landmark of Berlin:

Charlottenburg Palace is actually a large garden open to the public. The area inside is very large, but in addition to visiting the garden, the Charlottenburg Palace block outside is also very worth visiting. First of all, although this block is close to the palace, there is no Generally, the popular tourist attractions are noisy, very quiet, the whole block is lined with trees, and the houses on both sides are very characteristic of European houses. It is very comfortable to stroll through, and it is a pleasure to walk in the afternoon sun.Palace is a beautiful palace in the center of Berlin. Like many European palaces, it is divided into two parts: palace and garden. You need to buy tickets to enter the palace, but you don’t need to visit the garden. The garden is relatively large and has a typical geometric design. Composed of lawns, woods, ponds, etc., it is a very comfortable place and a good place for Berliners to take a leisurely stroll.

The castle itself is already interesting but I didnt have the slightest idea of just how huge the gardens in the back are. A park very nice to go ride around on your bike or go for walks with friends and family. Further back, also more interesting places to roam about and discover. The insides are still closed, as far as I know and yet it is still worth visiting for the outsides, even at this early stage of spring, where there is not yet much vegetation in bloom

Beautiful palace which is worth visiting 🏰You can buy tickets both online or at the door. 🎟 If you choose to see both the old palace and the new one, you can buy a bit discounted ticket. 🎫I personally believe old palace was way more beautiful 😍 and the new one was rather about paintings 🖼 But if few extra euros is not an issue for you, better go to visit both, as we did 😀Also dont forget to take an audio guide once you enter, 🔊 you dont have to pay extra for it, and can enjoy hearing stories about the palace while you walk around admiring the rooms, decorations, paintings.P.S. If you are running out of the time before the closure, and want to walk in the garden as well, remember that the garden is free and publicly open, so you can return any other day, rather stay inside the palace and admire it a bit longer 😏

The castle has been respectfully restored, but the famed garden is in much need of care, and in some places even in need of repairs. The second floor of the old castle was closed for repairs, but they dont inform you of that fact when you pay for (the still full pricetickets.
