Charlotte Hawkins Brown - Museum in Greensboro, United States
This is a wonderful place to visit! It’s best to take the very inexpensive tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about the school and cultural history during the early-mid 1900’s. The awesome opportunities offered and started by Charlotte Hawkins Brown would be very useful in our culture today for both white and black people. Don’t miss out on such an awesome experience!
Fascinating historical site glad it was saved and will be around for generations to come. Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
If you are a real history buff or just love hearing about facts that were never taught to you, visit this place. She was an amazing woman who accomplished a lot of things at such an early age. She surpassed so many obstacles placed in her path. The things she did and the people she entertained. Her Uncle was Nat King Cole. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. The inside of her house was beautiful. If you wish you can tour the entire grounds and read about each section of it. We did this on a Saturday to get out of the house during the fall of 2020 Covid lockdown.
A lovely piece of Black History. And a Strong willed Black American.
Part of my Soul!!! Beautiful place to explore with family!I’m sure we still have teachers with unwavering passion as Ms. Hawkins did!
Wonderful site with fantastic history! Friendly staff. Loved it!
Very interesting and helpful staff. Lots of info on the placards placed around.

I was pleasantly surprised with the history of this place. I strongly recommend visiting this campus. Only drawback was I was not able to go inside the school and dorms.
Cool history, cool grounds, cool story, cool lady, cool tour guide.

Recently has become a North Carolina Park. Fascinating history and well worth taking the time to enjoy the nice grounds and see and learn of the black history in this area.
Great place to learn something about the past.
My family and I took a tour with Jamie, and absolutely loved it. To learn about all that Dr. Brown did we were blown away. Jamie took us on the tour, she educated us on a lot of what Dr. Brown did, and even gave our children pop quizzes which I thought was good, she kept them engaged. This place definitely needs to be a place where everyone should visit. You wont be disappointed. It also has a picnic area also in case you wanted to tour and eat after, beautiful area to enjoy a nice picnic.
Well cared for, important establishment that everyone should visit.
Great venue for a wedding.
Awesome placeSteeped in history .Ms. Brown was very diligent and persuasive in getting funding for her school. Walking around the campus and tours of her house were excellent. Her house was 1st house with electricity in the late 20s. She was bent on teaching rural children the right ways of society. Kool place to visit and free.
