Char Char in Tulsa

Absolutely delicious food, served up by the friendly staff of Char Char, is one of our favorite ways to enjoy a lunch date. Every time we have eaten here it feels more like being invited to eat in the home of a friend rather than some mass produced franchise meal. The service is friendly and welcoming. The food, oh man the food, is so flavorful and delicious, its difficult to recommend any specific thing. Do yourself a favor and check out Char Char the next time you are in the neighborhood.

I havent been here in about 2 years, but the food quality, freshness and service is still superb.Lunch time can get a little busy but about the same (maybe a little longer)than most fast food places to be honest.My old reservation for the elusive 5th ⭐ is the prices. I realize cost of goods and overhead have increased, but slightly high in my humble opinion.Granted it obviously didnt prevent me from enjoying a fresh delicious meal. Maybe I will just have to tighten the budget elsewhere and come back more often.

Wonderful and authentic Mediterranean food oh, and the staff is extremely nice and pleasant. At first I thought it may have been a little bit pricey, but once I received my chicken gyro loaded with toppings and filled to the brim I have to say that it is well worth the price and quite delicious. The hummus and bruschetta is also fantastic.

Absolutely amazing! They made the tabouli in front of me to order. All the ingredients in my gyro (halalwere super fresh and the meat was so tender. Literally mouth-watering. 5/5 ⭐

The hummus is the best Ive ever had, and Ive had a lot! They make the Tabbouleh fresh when you order it so you can customize it if you want. Everything is made from scratch. I travel the country and this place is one of the best, if not the best! Great job guys! My family and I will be back....many times!

One of the best dining places in tulsa. The whole menu is lights out amazing and the customer service is top notch to boot. Kabobs and gyros are delicious and honestly the whole menu is incredible. Throw a dart and you will get something great! Jimmy is the man!

The customer service was amazing! Super sweet, super fast, and so accommodating! I ordered the gyro sandwich and Jimmy was very helpful with helping me order since Ive never had Mediterranean food ! Great first experience and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone.

One of my favorite places since moving to Tulsa at the beginning of the month. The food is fantastic. The owner and staff are really friendly and make it a great experience. I’m kind of addicted to the potato salad.

Tried this place for the first time today. It will be my new Mediterranean go to restaurant. The reviews about customer service and hospitality are 100% true- the owner went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect. The gyro was awesome! Can’t wait to return.

Dined in right at closing time. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff. The food is Iranian. We had a salad entree, a gyro and chicken over rice entree and the grilled chicken leg/thigh quarter kids meal. The roasted corn on the cob side was very good. All of the food we ordered was among the best we have eaten. It was incredibly GOOD!!! We cant wait to go back. I want to try everything on their menu!!! The NICEST owner I have ever encountered. You must try it!!!

Char Char is one of the best restaurants in Tulsa! I always crave this place. The food is so fresh, and the workers are very friendly. I normally order their chicken kabobs, but everything I’ve tried on their menu has been AMAZING! Definitely check out char char!

I dont really post reviews but I went here for the first time and the owner was so helpful in explaining the menu and the food so good I had to say something. Best experience Ive had in awhile. I got the chicken and it was delicious! Looking forward to trying more items in the future.

The food here is so good and fresh. Its really one of the best restaurants in all of Tulsa.4 stars because the hours sucks.

You eat here , you can even overeat, and feel fueled and happy instead of dumped. The chicken is cooked 8 hours in its own juices and falls right off the bone. The hummus is not generic - it’s a special blend that will make even those who don’t like hummus fall in love with it- it’s made in the kitchen , and is not overly thick or bland - it’s perfect texture and has amazing flavor. The pita is cooked fresh as well and is in the perfect size of slices where you can get a generous amount of hummus on it , it’s also not thin and has depth to it ,and the outside is crisped just right. Also come here and check out the Iranian specials they have , from family tradition, it’s always something new and worth trying.

My husband and I decided to get some Middle East food and we found Cha Char ,friendly people specially the owner we got the Kebabs and is v delicious ,Thank you

What an awesome place to eat! Whether you are getting it to go or dining in, this place is legit! The food is wonderful, the owner and his employees are all SUPER nice and helpful! I have tried about half of the menu now and havent been disappointed yet. They make the Tabbouleh right in front of you! DEF RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent food! Made fresh. Best Mediteranian so far. Dont care so much about the gyros because it has lamb in it. But it is my personal preference because I am used to different gyros in Germany. Very nice owner. Thank you for the nice chat Sheed!

Okay, the customer service here is above and beyond. We were checked on 3 times to make sure we had everything we needed despite it being order at the counter. One of the times we were even recommended a certain pairing and it was excellent! All of the food here was so so good! I got the quarter dark chicken and it was fall off the bone soft. Everything is so unique

First trip in today. Place was extremely clean. People were extremely friendly. The food was amazing. Baklava was the best Ive ever had anywhere. Will definitely be back to try new dishes. Prices were reasonable and nice size portions.

The food is delicious! I had the chicken kabob with vegetables and rice. The owner was kind and asked me about my food allergies. He told me every ingredient that was in the Lentil soup that he brought out for us to try. This was my first time here and I’m so excited my friend took me here for lunch!! The food seems very healthy, too and the service is fast! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This place makes a very delicious and beautiful gyro, probably the best Ive had in town. The flavors are all on point and the trimmings (tzatziki and the veggiesare all fresh and plentiful. Left me feeling pleased and well satisfied rather than the usual bogged down and heavy like other more street-style gyros you can find.The icing on the cake was the tabouli and baklava were both truly phenomenal. After getting into a rut of avoiding both due to routine disappointing experiences, it was wonderful to have some first rate iterations of both.Looking forward to a return visit and would certainly recommend it!

This place was so good! Had the chicken kabob on rice with a house salad (the crunch on those fresh veggies were outstanding!and hummus..Hands down best Mediterranean style food in Tulsa.

The best Mediterranean restaurant I have ate at in Tulsa! First was the service I received before ordering, asking me if I had been here before and kindly walking me through menu. And next came the food, full of flavor! The humus and tabouli 👌🏽👌🏽 Looking forward to trying more on the menu next time!

By far the best gyros in town! The pita was the perfect blend of soft and warm. The presentation of the food was amazing and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. A perfect spot to dine in for lunch!

Delicious, affordable and great service! I contacted Jimmy (who makes the best Tabouli!and explained my wife and I were hosting friends and wanted to place a larger order of gyro sandwiches with all toppings on the side so everyone could make their own according to personal preference. He prepared everything perfectly complete with labels for all toppings. The food was hot and ready to go on time. He intentionally found ways to save us money on the order and even helped me carry everything to the car. Everyone loved the meal and we had a great event. This is our favorite Mediterranean eatery in Tulsa and we cant wait to go back!

Awesome place. Wife had a chicken sandwich made with pita bread and humus with more pita bread. She said it was phenomenal, and I listened to her say this is so good about 20 times while she ate. I had the 1/4 dark roasted chicken served on a bed of rice with roasted corn and roasted red potato. This came with a pita bread as well. I agree with my wife. Phenomenal. This was something like I would have made at home and tasted amazing. The gentleman behind the counter, that I believe was the owner came out several times to check on everyone in the dining room and was very friendly. This is a great place with great healthy food choices. I say you need this place on your MUST TRY LIST!

Excellent customer service and delicious food!I placed a carry out order about 15 minutes before closing time. I expected to be turned away but was pleasantly surprised when they happily took my order and then had it ready for pick up when I arrived. The food did not disappoint! I had the gyros sandwich with a side of rice. The food was fresh and flavorful. I will definitely return. This is one of Tulsa’s best kept secrets!

The food is healthy and delicious! My young kids love the chicken kabobs and rice. We love the gyros and cabbage rolls. The weekly special is always worth trying, you are sure to find a new favorite! The owners and staff are kind and friendly. You will be rewarded for trying something outside your usual here.

Absolutely love this place. The food is fresh and made to order. We come every week. I usually get the Greek salad with chicken. Ive tried everything that gluten free and enjoyed it. My husband goes for the weekly specials or the gyro. The kids plate is great for our kiddo. The owners are super nice and make you feel like family.

Wow. What an incredible find in Tulsa OK. My wife and I had their char broiled chicken and when we say that this was the most tender chicken weve ever had, we mean it. The meat fell off of the bone and was absolutely delicious. Not only that, but the staff was genuinely happy to see you there and made you feel happy just by walking in the door. We will definitely be ordering from here more often.

Just happened to be driving by and thought I would try this place. I am so glad I did! Not only is it super clean but the service is impeccable. I was immediately greeted by what I assume is the owner, who explained the entire menu to me and did not rush me while I made my choice. Everything looked so good and clean and fresh. I ended up with a regular gyro, which you get to dress up on your own, and a side of potato salad. If you have not tried the potato salad it is a must! Probably one of the best potato salads Ive ever had! I will def be going back and telling others about this place!

We loved it! My husband got the beef tenderloin which was cooked exactly to his request and I had the chicken kabobs which were excellent! My 2 and 4 year olds didnt eat great (as usual), but they really liked the pita bread. Service was excellent especially since I think it was just the owner running the register and cooking. I will say, it might seem expensive to some, but it is well worth the price. Everything was fresh and made to order. We will definitely be back!

Just returned here for lunch yesterday. Good is always great, beautiful, and healthy. The kids have both declared Char Char as their favorite place. If youre looking for something good and healthy, this is it. The chicken, hummus, tabouli, and roast corn are some of my favorites...

My husband and I were looking for a Mediterranean restaurant and my brother in law recommended this place! It was amazing! We had the gyro platter with hummus, the vegetable platter, their bean soup, and red lentil soup. All of it hit the spot! The owner was very kind and she gave us a free cup of the bean soup for my husband to try because I ate all of mine before he got a chance to taste it! Plus, everything was freshly prepared! We will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! We we looking for a lunch option and this just happened to be near us. Best happy-accident I’ve had In awhile! The food was made with great care and the ingredients were fresh. If you love Mediterranean gyros, this is a must go place in Tulsa. They have a limited menu(no falafal but everything is of high quality ingredients and home made. The chicken kabobs are must haves. This is a family owned restaurant run by the owner so you really get the feeling of having a host there. Its a clean and nice place.

Fantastic service! We showed up just before closing time (2pmon Sunday and were delighted to be served so warmly by the owner. We had the Gyros and hummus with delicious warm pita. Everything was amazingly fresh. Im grabbing the rewards card and heading back soon!

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The chicken was the most tender, juiciest chicken I’ve ever had. The hummus and also top-notch. My friend got the gyro and loved it. I tried some of the lamb and it was as good and mouth-watering as the chicken. I highly recommended this place.The ONLY downside is the wait time. Just make sure you’re not in a hurry when you go in and you’ll be fine.

LOVE this restaurant! When I arrived I was immediately was greeted with warm/smiling faces. When I had questions about the Menu the employees kindly answered. The food was AMAZING. I cant emphasize it enough. Its especially good if you enjoy food that is not over seasoned. I feel like this is definitely the most authentic Mediterranean restaurant Ive tried in Tulsa!
