Chanters Lodge - in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
The food is amazing!
I love the location and its very nice
On arrival they didnt have WiFi throughout the lodge. As one staff explained, the owner hadnt paid for the WiFi bill. This was fine for the first night as we had our own data and did intend to leave the next morning. When it came to breakfast, we each were given a single fired egg, three spoons of beans and two fried rings of onion with toast bread. When we requested for butter for the toast, they said they didnt have butter at all, only Jam. When we requested for sausages we were told it would coast extra, however they said it would be a while as they didnt have any in the kitchen and would have to go out and buy. Only Coffee was offered and one of the people in our party didnt drink coffee so had to ask for tea.As we were in Livingstone for two nights only, we rebooked only for convenience. That evening on return from the Falls, we arrived to no water in our rooms due to what was described as a water pump failure, so we couldnt use the toilets or shower that evening. The next morning, we didnt have water either but a chat with reception they turned on the pump and we had water for few minutes to shower before we checked out.We got a complimentary breakfast (two fried eggs, beans, sausages, toast and butter), and a refund for the inconvenience caused.Overall, the rooms were clean and is in a good location. They resolved the issue to our satisfaction.Would we stay there again? We would give it a try again in the near future.
If you are on a low budget nice place to stay, would I go back? Probably not, staff nice breakfast okay no juice though or a bottle of water in the fridge to start with. Its a great location the owner should pay attention to details very disappointed with the pool
First of all I love their tasty juicy spicy foods and their hospitality is on point thanks Stella and Towela u guys are doing 👍
Peaceful and quiet
The best place to stay in Livingstone
Okay , clean and spacious. Food quality can improve though
Great for people travelling on a budget and in big groups as they have rooms from as low as K350 and can sleep up to 3 individuals. The staff however rarely changed things such as towels or thoroughly cleaned rooms everyday. Breakfast took a while to get ready (maybe it’s because we were a big groupbut I did order some dinner which I had to wait for 3 hours. The manager is a very nice lady and she will assist with whatever you require. The lodge is in a good location as it is in close proximity to everything such as restaurants, airport and the falls.Another thing I loved about it is that there were hardly any restrictions as with most places, we could sit by the pool and play games and music up to whatever time because Livingstone is definitely a party!
So good
Not a 5/4 Star Facility, but very clean, pleasant and peaceful environment. The hospitality is also wonderful and welcoming. Enjoyed my stay and would come back.
Great
A nice and quiet place
The place is so cool and chilled, i love it
Good food, excellent reception
I know 5 star is a bit too much ya but this place is OK. wouldnt mind my family here.
Cozy and quiet place. Good for family travel
Nice place to be in Livingstone
Beautiful.and quaint.
Its definitely not a 5 star resort and for this reason we walked in with humble expectations. We stayed in one of the family rooms (unit 8).The beds are good, mosquito nest are provided and you also have 24/7 security (guard, gate and wall). However, the bathroom was disappointing... Th door had no lock/key (which was a bit of a necessity coz we travelled as a group. The shower curtain was mouldy. It got cleaned after I complained about it)Other things to consider, its a walkable distance from the town centre, has a restaurant and a little pool.Would I go back? Probably not.... BUT if you are on a tight budget and cannot find a better place for you the same coin, it should do the the job.
Nice meals,cool surroundings.
Very nice clean place in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms well kept and very pleasant staff, the food is on point very delicious and fresh worth the wait.
Was an absolute fair time
Good family sleeping options. Clean.
Cool place we booked for a room with bunk beds and they gave us to rooms instead 😁 so cool.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The room had mosquitoes and the towels were stained. The shower curtain was dirty.Unfortunately I had already paid in advance,I couldnt wait to leave.
Lovely rooms, friendly staff and great rates.
Good place for a weekend
The was not even up to Zambia standards. My husband and in-laws are Zambian and they couldnt bare this place it was to dirty. The sheets were dirty, shower and bathmats dirty, the walls were dirty, the misquote nets were dirty. I found hair in my food. We were hoping to swim, but the pool was dirty. We only stayed one night checked out and went to the Marriott which was a much better experience. The only good thing about this place was that they were nice.
Great
I loved it! its cozy & I felt @home! the Owner Towela is amazing, she made us feel welcome & the staff were super helpful!
Good place for resting and a quiet time
Poor
Its a good place lodge in Livingstone, Zambia.
Chanters is good, i think of visiting again next year. Especially sign boards, that is very important .it was a good experience.
Great place and staff is friendly
Wow super friendly staff! Very attentive and made us feel at ease. Will sure return when back in town
Its an amazing place to lodge at...Good customer service and nice, clean and spacious rooms
A lovely hostess, Towela. Frendly staff. Tasty meals. A homely feel.
Nice and quiet place to stay. Price is fine for locals however pricey for foreigners.Good ambiance but rooms are run down and in need of a facelift. Bathrooms need a major overhaul. The room I stayed in had a blocked drainage, loose power point and inadequate lighting. The pool is unsightly and needs a coat of paint.Food was surprisingly good with adequate portions.Overall if the rooms are worked on I would not mind going back to stay there.
Food is decent! Lovely high pressure water!
So amazing... Its home away from home
I love the ambience and the food. This is the place i always eat when am in Livingstone. The service is superb!
Place is supper cool just the reception they have to work on. Its a tourist capital you know. Love the food
Very nice place- Friendly people, accommodating- Good Laundry service- Nice food- Do what they promise, they dont over promise and under deliver
A good look for a good service. I dont give them 5 because they are slow and takes time to serve clients
Lovely quiet lodge in Livingstone suburbs. Good food served at reasonable price.
