Chantara Thai restaurant - Restaurant in Nandi, Fiji
Service was amazing and the food was delicious
Tasty Thai restaurant! We tried the chicken skewer, a Thai soup, the pork curry and the duck curry. Overall, the food tasted good! Good portions as well, and the staff was friendly.
Although the sauces were nice it was $48 for 4 chicken wings and 4 small chicken skewers and one wing was not cooked properly, overpriced and am still hungry
sub par food.... pad thai was not a real pad thai... would never go bk
Great food and service!
The food was fantastic and extremely tasty. That said, the flavours are different to how they serve it in Bangkok. Not much of a view but very nice atmosphere.
Food is a big disappointment. No flavour at all.
Being from Southeast Asia, we know how Thai food should taste like and this restaurant is the best in Nadi area. It meets our expectations. This restaurant is located in Radisson Bluresort. Even though we were not staying at the resort, they allowed us to walk in. We waited about one hour for a table because it was fully booked. The dishes were authentic and delicious, maybe the tom yum soup could be more spicy as we are used to the real Thai style. Pad thai and fried rice were delicious too.
We didnt eat here but we loved the bar experience and the bartender was a legend. He mixed us some wonderful shots and was willing to mix whatever liquers we wanted without extra charge. Staff went out of their way to give us what we wanted. Great experience!
Fantastic service.
I judge a Thai restaurant in their Pork Penang curry. This one had a great flavour profile, and the pork was exceptional. We also had a Pad Thai with prawn and a Chicken chilli and cashew stir fry. All enjoyable dishes. Would come back.
The best restaurant at the resort. Fresh and quality food. Do recommend.
Bad experience at this restaurant. The staff at the reception desk of the restaurant only asked our family to wash our hands with the gel before getting into the restaurant as we have Asian face. She said it was the policy. We were seated just opposite to the reception desk. During the whole meal time, she did not asked other guests who were entering into the restaurant to wash their hands. That’s the discrimination. As a restaurant in a five star hotel, how could she treat customers like this. Other staff in the restaurant were kind and attentive.
Started off ruff with a frozen fruit platter which is not a good thing however They came back with a fresh fruit platter and an amazing full english breakfast. Well done team full redeemed yourself with amazing food. See you thursday night for dinner and fire show.Update on my review.Went for breakfast the morning chef has knocked it out of the park, amazing food, presentation is first class and.the chef always greets us with a smile. Waitresses Prity and Nanise and Amelia are fantastic and happy all the time.Cant not fault this place at all. Lets see how.dinner.goes tonight. Judging by breakfast it will.also be 5 star.I have now increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars.started out rocky with the fruit platter but now everything is perfect. Im gussing the fridge was.to.cold.Breakfast again today I tried the thai breakfast and OMG amazing again. Look at the fried rice breakfast.
Food was rather bland, including the pad see ew and the vegetable stir fry. A disappointing dinner but the service was good.
Me and my partner went here for dinner. The staff were friendly. And the atmosphere was good the biggest disappointment was the food.Lack of flavors. Not enough spice. And we specifically asked for spicy food. Not authentic whatso ever. Underseasoned. The best tasting was the water which was $13 for one bottle
The restaurant is really nice looking and the service was pretty good. The food was flarvorful and delicious.
The best Thai weve ever eaten, fresh and full of flavor. Our son had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and we couldnt help but pick at it also, as it was so delicious! We had the yellow prawn curry, chicken laab salad and seafood with vegetables and Thai herbs. Every fish was exquisite and I would happily sit and eat the same tonight. The service was extremely efficient, Sabrina looked after us very well ensuring we always had drinks and everything we needed.I highly recommend going on Thursday night to watch the local fire dancing show film your table also.
worse food every had in a 5 star hotel, order papaya salad, but no papaya in the salad. Egg noodle and pad thai super salty, two sandwich with no spicy and both came with chilli. The chef dont even care and argue with waiter....... We didnt even finish all the diahes
Unfortunately I feel compelled to give this nice looking and well situated hotel restaurant a poor review. I ordered a seafood noodle dish that came drenched in so much sauce it was like eating a lousy mushy soup. It tasted nothing like real Thai food I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. Additionally, although the people at Chantara are very nice, the actual service I received was poor. The less expensive and less fancy Neptunes Denarau Restaurant at the same Radisson-Blu Resort was considerably better.
Overall, I had a good experience at Chantara Thai. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and there is a good outdoor Thai atmosphere. The menu is broad and offers a slight and well performed Fijian twist to traditional Thai dishes. Before ordering we were brought out a bowl of traditional Thai crackers, which were quite nice. The food is very tasty and has an excellent texture. The meat in both my chicken skewers and beef was a bit overcooked and dry, but this was only the performance of a single chef and visit. Once we informed the waiter Lote, who was very professional, he and his manager quickly rectified the issue.Overall it was a great experience, but only one of a 4 Star restaurant.
Food is ok far from Authentic. Setting is nice but wouldnt go there as a big group as food comes out in drops and drabs.
Food is lovely and the service, been here a couple of times 2years apart and still good
Food is OK but I find they constantly try to up-sell the food and drinks. Food is not 100% authentic Thai. Also they didn’t have papaya salad on the day I ordered and didn’t provided us a hot towel like everyone else
Expensive drinks. Food okay.
My wife and I visited Chantara during our honeymoon and our waiter Eroni was wonderful the entire time. He was kind and attentive and provided recommendations throughout the night, and everything was delicious! The waterfall in the background was an especially romantic addition.
Awesome food and firstt class service from Gabby! Will be back next time in Fiji.
Good food, excellent service, overpriced
Great Thai Food!... Delicious 😍
Great food, good view and excellent service. If you’re a couple will till 8 o’clock and the kids disappear.
Nice food good customer service. But bit expensive than the service value.
Food was nice but the restaurant was so hot no proper air flow i really couldnt sit much longer to enjoy music and of course it was pricy
Great food here. Lots of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Staff were very accommodating and friendly when we turned up without a booking. Food came quickly considering the place was almost full. Went back there the very next night cause we were so impressed.
Best Thai food! So delicious, amazing flavours and such friendly service. We ate there two nights in a row. Highly recommended.
Oh best Thai food and Tima was wonderful
Great thai food friendly staff fast service😋😀
Fabulous Thai food by chef Jasmine. The staff are lovely and the cocktails great too. Kids menu fantastic also.
I compared the food to Sydney Thai restaurants and its almost equal in quality and taste. However, the portion size of some items were small compared to the price charged. Its the only Thai place in Fiji so I guess they are taking advantage of that. Overall, worth the night out at this place.
Lovely Thai food with a Fijian twist. Great service and friendly staff.
Best meal Ive had in Fiji, and one of the best Thai meals I have had anywhere. Each dish had interesting flavors that werent drowned out by spice, sugar, acidity or salt. Everything was in balance. I especially enjoyed the soft-shell crab with apple, the chicken stay with some herb that made it special, and even the tofu dish was great. The beef and pork dishes were pretty good. The coconut rice was understated, leaving me wanting the finale: Coconut icecream with peanuts! Great combo, although I wouldve liked some real coconut shavings in it... but thats being fussy. The cocktail was tall, thick with fresh fruit flavour and delicious. The service was helpful and friendly, and they didnt hesitate to provide our special wishes (warm water for our guest, and highchair for junior). While waiting for the appetizers, junior and I watched the huge water fountain wall, played with the gigantic chess set in the gardens, and followed a Fijian torch-lighting "ceremony" through the gardens with some other guests. An experience.Photos here of prawn fried cakes, and chicken satay skewers with yummy spice.
Great food but check your bill.
Lovely setting, tasty food and friendly service all make it worth while.
Yummy Thai food. Best have had in a while. Service was good. Food was good. Drinks were delicious. All in all a good time. Nearly fell out of my chair when got the bill though!!!
Guys, go to Trip Advisor for proper reviews of this place, because youd be missing out if you relied on the google review. Was honestly the best food Ive ever had in my life.
Chantra Thai restaurant is by far the best, freshest and friendliest restaurant we visited over our 8 nights in Nadi.We stayed at the Westin and ventured here for dinner.Staff were great, they genuinely looked after us. Checking if we wanted drinks.. checking when the meal arrived if we needed anything.. came back to query for desert. We really enjoyed our food and time here. Our waitress was Maca who was fanastic, the male manager was also terrific.Food was fresh and tasty. The view from the restaurant of the man made waterfall at night was also beautiful. Bookings are recommended.
What a meal and dining experience. Thanks to Phyllis who looked after us for the night. Excellent service.
Delicious food and great unrushed service. My daughter, who is a picky eater, even enjoyed it. Reservations are recommended. Covered and uncovered open air seating.
Tourists keep away from Denarau, eat in Nadi or Namaka, Fijis Tourism Minister has confirmed that some unscrupulous service providers on Denarau are selling food at expensive prices and ripping off touristsYou will regret eating in Denarau
The food was excellent and the staff was super accommodating!
Surprisingly my favorite restaurant on the island. Food here was incredibly full of flavor and the finish on the plates was spectacular.
