Lava Rd, Lingsaykha Khasmahal, West Bengal 734319, India, Shiliguri
Serene, circa-300-m. waterfall reachable via a short walking trail, with several viewing decks.
Lovely and huge waterfallsAlso adventure s trekking here but its good
This place I tell is one of the best places. We visited kolakham for noise free vibes and this place serves the best. We had to hike downwards for like 500 meters to reach this waterfall. And it was worth it!!Very serene and beautiful. They also provide sticks for rs. 10 so that you can easily hike back.Just a little tip, please wear well gripped shoes because the path is not very suitable for slipper type footwear.
Beautiful waterfalls nestled between greenery..a must visit point very near to lava, west bengal..a small trek to reach the falls but the journey justifies the destination..small hamlets selling momos, wai-wai,tea, coffee etc are present..not recommended for anyone with difficulties in walking or old people..overall a very good spot to spend half a day
Mesmerizing view of the roaring waterfall up close; a steep descent to the fall and hike up back to the road will take 30-40 mins for a young adult.
Changey waterfalls is no doubt win your heart if you can give a little effort to reach the place and have that much fitness to return from there. Actually the falls is very beautiful and the combination of the sound of water with the beautiful falls makes it more attractive. You have to walk around 1.5 km or more down hills and the same distance uphill while returning. That needs physical fitness for sure. If you can do that then go to enjoy the falls. Also you should carry some water and energy drinks if possible to tackle the huge loss of energy during up and down movement. Enough of describing. Now it’s time for you to enjoy !!
The place is quite nice. waterfall is not too big but the force of the water is really high and we can feel the sprinkle of water from far. This waterfall is inside neora valley National park and 14 km from lava. One need to go by the foot trail to reach the fall.
Truly an underrated spot ! For those visiting Lava-Rishap , can visit this beautiful waterfall as a bonus trip . Although the road from Lava to the fall is a bit rough and narrow , it’s totally worth the effort. Plus all those adventure lover-riders will definitely enjoy the journey. The waterfall takes a little ‘trekking’ as the path is pretty stiff, so the elderly people can find it a bit difficult. I went there in monsoon season so the place was all wet and slippery, so winter would be better time to visit.
Very beautiful place to visit. Waterfall is huge. Its a 20 min small traking from car stand to reach to the waterfall.
Beautiful nature, good to visit in monsoon. Siliguri to Lava road is so beautiful and well maintained. Best for bike ride.
One of the finest place to be.Its 45 min from Lava.Highly recommended. Just watch out for the leeches and carry a stick for going up the stairs.
Beautiful waterfall near Kolakham at around 10 minutes distance via car. Then you have to trek down through dense forest for another 15-20 minutes. Be careful about the slippery path and the leeches found everywhere. The waterfall is massive during monsoon and calm during winter.
Located 14 km from Lava and close to Neora Valley National Park with natural beauty, Changey Fall. The road is not good. We have to trek down to the waterfall for around 10 minutes. The upward trek is pretty hard and stressful.
The waterfall is lovely❤. But it is very exhausting work to climb down more than 2km too see the waterfall and more more exhausting to climb up the same distance 🥲🥲. So it is very hard for old aged person to see this waterfall. And the young aged people who are climbing down to see the waterfall are recommended to carry minimum things which are essential like mobile, cameras and waterbottles. And while returning it is also recommended to check whether u take all the things or not otherwise if u foreget to carry something from the down then it will be so hard for u to again climb down and bring that..
The wonderful waterfall located near lava in the kalimpong district. The road is not good. But natural beauty is great. If you go lava you must visit it.
Gorgeous place. Seems easy going down. but the uphill trekk can be slightly difficult
Best place Ive ever been to. Mesmerized, overwhelmed. The struggle, stress, muscle pain everything is worth it.
This waterfall is awesome. Its soothing. After a tiresome journey, it will bliss you. The water is crystal clear here.. and be aware of the leeches. It caught me there. If possible take umbrella.
Nothing extraordinary, it’s a little off road, and you need to descend on a muddy path for 15 mins to reach the falls. Reach there by 10, it will be less crowded.
Situated in Koklaham village of Kalimpong. One need to go down from main road to see this beautiful waterfall. The road is not very good, but walkable with a stick a need to be careful. Got different viewpoints to see it also can sit on rocks at bottom of the waterfall.
You have to trek a short distance to reach there. But after reaching there the view of the waterfall is just mind blowing.
It was a hard journey to reach the waterfall. The roads are rough and full of potholes. The fall is not a good attractive place at all. You will have to walk 15 minutes downward from the spot to reach the fall. You will be charged 20 rupees.
Hello all, this is Prasenjit from UroJahaaz YouTube channel and I want to share some feedbacks about Changey falls. Its a beautiful place for tourists. However you need to trek to reach to the falls and its almost 40 minutes to reach and almost one hour back up. We have enjoyed a lot here at Changey Falls, Kolakham. You can visit Changey falls when you visit Kolakham, Longchu, Lava, Lolegao or Rishap. Prepare yourself for the good trek. Such a lovely place to reach over there. My Son had a good count and according to him, its 984 steps. Please visit the place for good enjoyment. I shoot a good video. Please visit my channel on YouTube.
Small village with cold and cozy weather...the owners were friendly with lovely food ...homely feeling .. price was negotiable❤️
A beautiful waterfalls from the mountains .The 700 m one way trek to reach to the bottom of the waterfall is tiring as well as exciting and all the joy comes out on experiencing such a nice waterfall. One should be careful while treking as the path is steep and slippery. Although support sticks are provided, one must be careful while going downhill. There are small food and refreshments stalls for providing refreshments to people as one had to cover a very steep path while returning uphill .
A wonderful but breathtaking journey through the jungle towards the falls, very steep and uneven stony road.Only mentally and physically strong person dare to take the road..Im not talking about the age here, because the age is just a number...you should be young at your heart to conquer the challenge.
An amazing experience... Must visit place. The road leading to it goes through a thick forest and is itself an experience. You then reach a base from where you have to walk down for around 15 mins. Do have some delicious chicken Momos when you go down to the waterfall from the small shop there (Rs 60 only for 8 pcs)
The way to the falls is somehow adventurer.. the fall is large & eyesthoothing....as we went during rain...we faced muddy slippery way...& problem of leeches but we enjoyed a lot..precaution- carry water bottle & inhaler in case of asthma & obesity patients.
This is a good place to visit, the road to the hiking start point is around 8-9 kms from the highway, condition is not too goodOne-way hike takes around 10-15 mins, the hike is not difficult. The waterfall itself is not surprisingly huge
This place is awesome. One must visit this waterfall during Lava tour. The way to this fall from Lava is more awesome and closest to nature.
The changey water falls is really awesome, You have down trek approx 800 meters. The trek path is not easy. Keep it min, Most of the steps is broken for the landslide and its looking very dangerous. The local peoples did some repairing. Added some steps and handrails with steel pipes and Woods. WB government install one light but the light is not working anymore. The rest room and the public toilet also broken. Its approximately 12 km from Lava. The road also not good.
Its really beautiful to see while crossing ya traveling on the road nd good thing is dat there is a sitting area also in upstairs so u can rest nd enjoy the view also.
A beautiful waterfall. The trek to the falls is awesome but the local authorities need to do some repairing works of the trekking path for ease of trekkers. Some renovation works at the fall site is also required but the experience of nature is at its best here.Overall its a good experience

At a distance of 4 km from Kolakham and 10 km from Lava, Changey Falls is a mesmerizing waterfall situated near Kolakham in Kalimpong district of West Bengal. It is one of the gorgeous waterfalls in Kalimpong region and among the best places to visit in Lava. Required to walk 750 Mt from car parking lot.Changey Falls is a small waterfall in the midst of hills and forests. Cascades down from a height of about 150 feet, the waterfall looks stunning with crystal clear water and thick green forest. Very nice and clean place, good for small hiking. You dont need any guide. Awsome view at the end near the falls. Momo was good 😍
Its a water fall located near Kolakham in Kalimpong district of West Bengal. To reach this falls someone has to walk down a very stiff narrow walkway using walking sticks for balance. The walkway is about 600 meters long and you walk down about 500 feet from the motor able road to view this falls. The falls is amazing and very beautiful. The locals have set up shops at different levels so that the visitors could sit and recover breadth while coming up. Guides are available to accompany a group at a very reasonable price of Rs. 200/- only. The whole journey could last for about 2 hours.
It is vey beautiful with scenic beauty. You have to trek to reach down to the waterfalls. You can have the beautiful jungle trekking experience if you trek 6.75km down to Changey Falls from kolakham
Great views!Small trek.. a bit tough due to the damage during the abrupt rains.Worth mentioning: Small tea place setup.. run by these two cutest kids and their old father.. definitely adds to the glory! :)
Best waterfall in West Bengal... Last 900m is not motorable... It takes about 20 minutes going downhill to reach the falls and about 35 minutes to return uphill... Excellent natural beauty...
Amazing to visit this place. Must visit place. But you have to go down straight from road to the waterfall waking. The foot path is very sloppy and looks dangerous. You have to walk about 500 m by walking. It is very hard stepping up. Old people and physically weak and child should avoid this place. Otherwise very nice place to enjoy.
Awesome trip. Tracking for one and half kilometres, beautiful scenery. Lovely water falls , Natures Beauty. Must visit once. Very kind and friendly people.
Changey falls is a hidden treasure for nature lovers. I trekked to this place from Kolakham and I must tell you it was one of the greatest morning walk for me. With continuous chirping of birds and mystique petrichor made my day. You need to descend a bit to reach to the falls, hence, it may be a little difficult for aged tourists, unless he/she is fit.
Very beautiful place with amazing view of the waterfall. The best part is the jungle trail which you have trek for atleast half an hour to reach at the point. It will be a lifetime experience ❤️ (not recommended for elderly people & kids as the path is rocky and uneven, may arise difficulties while walking)You can see many bird species and also enjoy their sweet chirping noise throughout the journey.
Must Visit if you are visiting Kalimpong or nearby areas you have trek for around 2 km going down to visit the falls anyway its worth visiting chilling crystal clear waterPlease take towels and clothes if you want to dig into the falls and no changing rooms or rented towels is available you will only get small tea/maggie stalls nothing else
The waterfall is beautiful no doubt but the hiking for it is not worth it.... It took us 40 mins but we also had a senior citizen with us but she had to stop in the middle. Tbh it was really tiring but it was fun
Very steep slope down the road almost 1 km walk way from the road. very adventurous place. And it was so good view of the waterfall. I will suggest to carry water bottle and careful with your step as it is little bit slippery during rainy season.
Its being 2.1 km from road, have to use a narrow rode to go down to see the natural beauty. In rainy time it takes a massive look and scenic beauty. Must visit in rainy season then you can feel whats exactly it is.
