Chandigarh Tandoori - Indian restaurant in Geneve, Switzerland
Good restaurant to have Indian food
Great food, very much in budget as well. The paneer was a delight, the naans very well cooked. The ambience is fitting for an Indian restaurant, as is the music XD I wouldnt recommend the Daal Makhani because it wasnt the typical punjabi/dhaba daal makhani I like, but it was still rich in flavor and of good taste. Outdoor and indoor dining available.
Good but not the best compared to the price
Worst experience for Indian food. I would never recommend anyone to go here in Geneve. Rude staff. Bad service. Food is okay okay. You will regret for sure. There are many other Indian cuisine options in Geneve you can try.
Amount given is quite good
Absolute worst restaurant ever. It is incredible this hole is still in business. First time I went there it was OK. 2nd time with my wife there a staff member joked to me while getting our dessert order about how their tea would help keep my libido up all night- I was shocked by such unprofessional behaviour. I then started ordering from them with Smood- first time it was OK, but twice now, the food has come with so much salt that it is not edible. This thing should be shut- it is not doing the reputation of Indian service or businesses any good!!
Very tasty but expensive
Not comparable with other Indian foods in the city! Way below average!
Great food and service. The bread is amazing 👍🏼
Good service, nice atmosphere and good size portions.
The best Indian I’ve found so far in Geneva!
I love the food its so so good too and they are so nice there , you know it can take some time for prepare something so I can understand them :I love the boss he is so kind and funny , service is fine , you HAVE to go there it is amazing
Really good Indian food with lots of options, also for vegetarians. Expensive but only a bit above the standard price for Indian food in Geneva.
Really great place even during Covid. Great takeaway and eat in. Always great service.
Super tasty Indian place. Regularly getting a take away from this place. Highly recommended.
Will go again. Tasty food and friendly service.
Nice and lovely food house
One of my favorite Indian places, located very close. Prices are reasonable and the mood is always great, very much reccomend!
The restaurant isnt located in Beausobre and the telephone line isnt working. Made me go and pickup my food in the wrong place. When I finally found the right address, I picked up my food and noticed it was cold. Also, the chicken was overcooked and dry. I got an indigestion the same day after eating their dish, yet Ive lived in India and my body has tolerated extreme food preparations. But somehow, this butter chicken wasnt at the right address either... Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
The food was good but the service was unacceptable. Maybe just an off day, but we waited nearly an hour for drink and food..
Best Indian food Ive had in a long time, a must visit.
Authentic indian food with quality and taste. Location is a bit away from the city centre but its worth visiting this place. One of the few places to serve good Indian food in Geneva.
Good authentic Indian food. A bit pricey for the Geneva area though. Good customer service.
Food tasty for European palate, price reasonable, overall a good place to try Indian food.
The dishes from different regions in India are well served with quality and taste. I loved it. Its bit expensive. But you could try to book with la fourchette app to get discounts for booking a table on before hand.
Food was really good, but the service was bad
Friendly & informative staff, quite quick, nice ambience and of course, tasty Indian food!
Ok, looks chef and manager got changed. Food taste was not as good as last time and service pattern also changed... Loved ambience and Melody songs.
The food was average. It was expensive and i had better taste of indian food somewhere else.
Went for dinner with a few friends. Very friendly service, nice setting, good meat and curries. Will go back again! 😊
Very expensive, service extremely slow - but tasty.
Horrible food..horrible service... complete waste of money for vegetarians!!
Really good place to eat Indian food. The food was good, staff was friendly. Location is not easy to find with Google map specially when you arr arriving by foot.
Had a terrible experience. We were given a gift voucher from this restaurant with an expiry date of 8 months and yet the Swiss law says it should be min 12 months. We were not able to go there in time and they refused to let us use our gift voucher. Theyre a bunch of vultures. We will definitely never set foot in this restaurant and I do not recommend it. The staff was not friendly not care about their customer. Its all about money. If it was possible I would have given them negative stars.
Quick service and authentic north Indian food.
Actually it would be zero stars if possible.I have given this place a few chances over the years and I have no idea why it is still in business. It is not only THE worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in but probably the worst restaurant ever. The staff are rude and have zero customer service. The food is way below par, VERY expensive and as another reviewer mentioned, a recent pre-theatre consisted of 2 Indian mains at 35.-, no Indian starters and a wide choice of pizza!! If I’d known that in advance I’d have gone to one of the pretty good Italian restaurants in Morges.Absolutely do not waste your money in this place!!
Such a good Indian place. Delicious & colorful dishes served by a friendly Indian owner. Dont hesitate to go there, youll be transported by the charming Indian atmosphere in a second and you cant be disappointed with such an Attentive staff and a variety of choice
Very nice place with Indian food. Good spice are making all dishes tasty and unique. You can pay with a card there.
Run of the mill indian restaurant. Average everything. Only location is good, next to bus stop.
Warm hospitality n mouth watering food.Excellent service, wish to be there again. Goodluck & Godspeed for the staff n management.
Nice food and good service. Located just opposite to the bus stop. So very easy to reach.
Great indian food, amongst the best in Geneva. The place isnt really trendy but the service is very good, the waiters are friendly and very helpful, and the food delicious, cant recommend it more!
Really lovely people and very tasty food! Highly recommend.
It is one of the best Indian restaurants that I have eaten out ,in Geneva. They provide authentic Indian dishes. They staff can converse in English too.I strongly recomend visitors to have prawn curry and peshwari naan here 😋.
It was quite quiet for lunch on a Saturday and the service was friendly and efficient. The dishes are quite expensive, but the food was very tasty so we left satisfied.
Just been there with my friend and i loved it. For a lunch menu vegetarian only for 16.90 chf as much i know you dont have any other better option in Geneva for that price.starter with pakoras and then mail meal, the way it was decorated..just very nice..very good service. Good job
Awesome, delicious, presentable food, nice and courteous people to serve..must try vegetable soup, mutter mushroom..lovely.thanks superb indian food
As a Brit living abroad is hard to find a good curry place. This place is one of the best Ive found on my travels. They are always friendly & remember us each time we visit & have no problems with us taking our <1 year old with us. The menu is varied with chicken, beef, lamb, fish & vegetarian dishes. Of several Ive sampled theyve all been tasty, freshly prepared with the chicken tikka a family favourite. The reviews referring to only 2 choices are a special menu offered on theatre nights which guarantees a quick service to ensure you are in & out in time for the show. You can of course order from the full menu but these will take longer when the restaurant is full of theatre goers.Overall a great restaurant, a little out of the way but ideal before or after the theatre & they even do take away you.
We went here this evening as a special treat before our son goes back to the UK, and were bitterly disappointed by the poor quality of the food. We chose onion bahjis and samosas for starters - the bahjis were in fact dry onion rings and the samosas were also dry - two of them for 10 Swiss Francs! The time lapse between the starter and the main course was around an hour, but we waited patiently; however, when the food arrived (in small portions the curry Madras was so salty that it was inedible and was obviously just some puréed vegetables which had been cooked in beef bouillon. I complained about it and when it was brought back it was no better - perhaps just slightly less salty as some water had been added. The rice which was supposed to be pilau rice with peas, was just plain boiled basmati (with peasand was tasteless. The sauce of my husbands dish of butter chicken tasted of Campbells condensed soup and obviously had never been near any ginger or any of the other spices listed on the menu..Our sons Vindaloo was basically flavourless apart from the chilli. All of the main meals were priced at 27 Swiss Francs, plus 6 francs for the rice. The Nan bread was burnt and also served in small cereal bowl sized portions. The popadoms were served in very small quarters and the sauces were also one spoonful sized portions. In the end they deducted the cost of the curry Madras (27 chf from the bill, without being asked to, which was a good gesture, but for the 134 chf we paid it was a sad offering. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is a joke. The menu consists largely of Pizzas and it offers only 2 Indian dishes!!! They bring you and let you eat dessert without cleaning the table etc., price for one main dish + mineral water = 35CHF... Very disappointing dinner experience before the theatre.
