Good tour in English kind attentive and helpful staff. 10/10.As opposed to Pommery where the staff showed preferential treatment to certain races/ethnicities, attending to some first while ignoring other guests who were clearly waiting in line for a long time.

Be prepared to learn incredibly interesting things on the craft and history of champagne. The length of underground caves, the wall inscriptions from people hiding there during WW1 will blow your mind.

It would truly be a waste of your time to visit this big champagne house. There are other big brand competitors that offer a better experience. I have no idea why the star reviews are so high. I completely regret going here. money-grabbing, poor quality useless experience with a miserly single taste at the end.

We visited several champagne houses in the region. This one had the most interesting cellars. Tour prices are similar to other homes. Its about 12 degrees Celsius in the basement. I recommend taking something warmer

Great tour, highly recommended. Get to see actual working caves (smaller portion vs. off-limits giant caves), but nevertheless, it is great. Tour guide from UK very nice. Go!

No ability to buy champagne on site (license issue). Bathroom is outside and when you go outside you cant get back in. Thought it was a bug. Apparently its a feature. Guide was not very knowledgeable about the history and the process.

Excellent tour, and amazing champagne. Much more “real” and personal than Moët and Chandon. The caves and carvings on the walls were very interesting

First thing: BRING A JACKET. The caves are kept at a brisk 11 degrees Celsius. That said, the tour was very enjoyable and the right length. Very informative in terms of the Taittinger brand and champagne-making itself. Their cave is very impressive in terms of its architecture, history, and aesthetic.

Great experience of champagne, 1 h of underground and tasting excursion. A little lost a tasting part - it could be guided, not just glass of champagne, more interactive.

Taittinger showroom and celler visit. Well worth visiting! Amazing old cellars from 4th and 5th century. Rumours says that they will close this place in october 2022, and move the showroom to a different location .. Aprox. 2 millions champagne bottles ..

Had a private group tour for 13 of us at the Tsittinger caves in Reims, very informative and great tour guide with a superb tasting session at the end. A nice way to spend time in Reims especially on a hot day as it is a nice cool temperature in the chalk caves

It’s a beautiful cellar but I found the tour a bit limiting and our tour guide did not have a good knowledge of the product (she said that there’s 36 grams of sugar in Champagne when a guest asked her). The tasting was pretty limited as well. An express description and people were ushered out quickly. I can only imagine how worse it gets during high season. For the amount we paid, it didn’t feel special. If you’re looking for a big wine house to visit, go to Pommery instead.

Great place to visit to see some of the earliest champagne cellars. Very informative tour, available in English or French. The cellars are amazing in their scale and age. Millions of bottles of champagne are kept here. Highly recommended.

Pretty cool Champagne tour; however, our tour guide insinuated we had to leave with our little children as they were being too loud. He was completely oblivious of how difficult it is for us to raise two toddlers. Instead of being helpful, he made us feel unwelcome. We also went to Moet & Chandon and the tour guide was so much better…they even had the children partake in the tour and explained the Champagne making process even better. Tour guides at Taittinger need training on how to deal with families with small children or give us a tour with other families with small children.

After to going to multiple tours, including Moët (who I also gave 5 stars), this was probably my favorite. It’s small enough that you don’t feel like you are walking through a commercial, yet large enough in scope to contain limestone tunnels at lengths that boggle the senses. When you include all the networks of caves and tunnels in limestone substrate of the Champagne regions, it almost compares to the Paris subway system through a rustic lens. What makes some of Taittinger’s wine catacombs unique is the storage space made available by natural karst features, particularly the original storage areas. Now, I have to confess bias to the fact that I found this champagne to also the be finest tasting of my tours; entirely subjective. It certainly was good though and I would return at any chance offered.

This was an incredible experience! I got to see 1 of 5 crayéres in all of #Reims! Crazy to think how this was dig into the ground thousands of years ago. This is a Chardonnay focused house so think freshness and elegance. I love this style of Champagne. The Brut is perfect for everyday and is definitely part of my #champagnecountdown ! The rosé is perfect for summertime and has a deeper color due to the addition of the red wine reserve. This was my first time trying the Vintage 2013 and this was definitely a crowd pleaser! And of course the tête de cuvée: Comtes de Champagne! A Blanc de Blancs that is 💯 Grand Cru. One of the highlights of my trip to Reims! An amazing tour and experience. I highly recommend! This is an awesome experience and in case you are visiting Reims, I suggest not to miss this. They take you underground where the Champagne is stored and processed over years. In case you have been to Paris often and are wondering where to spend a weekend, do take a tour to Reims. Its about 150 kms and takes 2 hours by road. You can enjoy the countryside ride. Else take TGV. One can walk around the city. Visit Cathedral and do the Champagne tours.

One of the most beautiful and important champagne producer. It’s a “must visit”. The visit is delivered both in French and in English: it begins with a short movie on the history of the brand and the family, than visitors are guided underground into the caves while are explained the products, the methods etc.., finish with the taste: number of glasses and type of champagne is determined by the ticket bought.

We walked in around 10:30 and asked to join the next tour. We had to wait about 45min until the next available one. We took a small walk to a cafe very close to the gates while we waited. They had tours in English and French. We choose the second most expensive option (43eurowhich included tour + 1 glas of brut reserve + 1 glas comets de champagne (excellent choice!).Tour started with a cinema presentation. After that down to cellars. The guide was very nice and explained the history of the house and the champagne process. The tour went through the same area where worker was doing their day to day business in the cellar which made the visit more interesting.Tasting came as the last part and we got the opportunity to purchase bottle and other branded items.

The tour at Taittinger is very informative and includes a short film, tour of the chalk caves and concludes with champagne tastings. They have approximately 2 km of caves underground at their Reims location with the oldest section dug out by the Romans.

In terms of the caves, Taittinger is def worth a visit in that the cellar has really tall ceilings underground, which was used as shelter during WW. The owner successfully made it a world heritage site. The 1 hour tour had about 30 people. The tour guide gave general information without too much technical details. If it wasn’t because of an earlier tour at Mumm, I wouldn’t have understood the description of champagne process here at Taittinger. The tour was more commercial here, but still worth a visit.Be prepared to walk back up 20 meters, because elevator is offered to those in need.

Went on two champagne tours with Taittingers being the high end tourist friendly one. Easily accessed from Reims. Nice large carpark. The basic facts are mind boggling. Taittinger stores 30m bottles in its cellars. At €50 a bottle, that is a working capital of well over €1b. Champagne is huge business. The location of Taittinger used to be a Benedictine Abbey, whose monks were master wine makers. Quite likely, they drank all their stock.

One of those really interesting places to visit in the city. An one hour tour of the caves where the champagne is aged. Slightly educational for those new to champagne culture as well. You get student discounts too for those concerned. No similar places in the city offers that.

I got this tour for free as part of a membership, but for 20euros it would be worth it. The cellars are impressive and a glass of champagne at the end! The guide was knowledgeable and I learned a few things. The film at the start is only 10mins long and they let people in after it started.

Overly busy and commercialised, our tour had 33 people and felt rushed, there was little or no time for questions unlike a few of the other tours. I would recommend Ruinart or Veuve Clicquot if youre looking for something more intimate.

Definitely recommended place by me.90 pts / from 100.•Annual production about 5 milion bottles (2013).•The 3th oldest Châmpagne House founded by Jacques Fourneaux (1734).•The 2nd largest domaine vineyard owner in the region.• You should see three 2000 years old barrels presented by Taittinger on the finished of the tour.My favourite from this house:1. Comtes de ChampagneBlanc de Blancs Brut Vintage.100% Grand Cru Chardonnay from Côte des Blancs.Aged between 8 and 10 years.2. Brut Vintage.Blend of Grand Cru Chardonnay and P.N.2.Folies de la Marquetterie NV.3. Prélude Grands Crus NV and Nocturne Rosé Sec NV.The best value for money from 10 top Châmpagnes producers.Thank you again for a well spent time, with one of the best marketers team from Champagne Region. I learned a few selling techniques watching and leasing you guys. Merci mille fois. The only one product which I really dont recommend from this house - its a Brut Prestige Rosé NV!!!Horrible, over body and luck of elegance...Thursday 6th April 2017.0

Brilliant tour topped off by standing in a 4th century Roman constructed chalk cellar surrounded by champagne - WOW. Informative, interesting, unique and accessible. The Champagne itself is NOT Dom but it is still lovely. The cellars though steal the show. Probably the best tour in Reims

Great champagne house tour. You start with a video upstairs, then are taken through two layers of cellars viewing the remnants of the Abbey of Ste Nicaise and a Gallo-Roman quarry. You get to see many different sizes of champagne bottles in storage and at various stages of the production process. There are many kilometers of cellars and it is quite an adventure!

During our champagne tour we decided to visit also one of the bigger estates. Much different from the smaller, independent estates tours but definitely worth a visit as well.At Taittinger tours are organised in a more professional way and seem more "touristy", but you wont be disappointed since the Roman built caves are really stunning. Go and have a look at the gallery network 18 m below the ground with millions of bottles.
