Чайхана Самарканд - Uzbeki restaurant in Brody, Ukraine
Amazing food, great atmosphere, nice decoration. I really appreciate that they have a bell on the table so when you are ready to order or pay, you just ring it and don’t have to wait around. They also have gluten free options and vegan options labeled in the menu.
Delicious food.Original flavours.Very friendly staffHighly recommended.A hidden gem of Lviv.
I wish there were 10 starts to give, 5 are not enough. Its the best restaurant ever. Food is just amazing.!!!
Traditional food. Tasty and good-looking. One star less for not respecting covid-19 restrictions.
Delicious main, waitress was very nice and spoke excellent English. Dessert took a while and sadly was not as amazing as the main dish.
Nice UZBEK resturant, had a nice lam meat marinated with sauce. The guy at the reception has shown courtesy and willingness to help explaining the menu. Now a days menue via QR and you are left to struggle through it. Good luck
5/5! Best food we ate on our trip in Ukraine and price was reasonable. The staff are very friendly and speak English and gave us some information on Uzbekistan. We will be revisiting
The Good: Tables have notes in different languages which is fun to read while you are waiting for the food. Menu is translated into 3 languages. Plov and ribs were good. The Bad: My friends are vegetarians and the menu had plenty of vegetarian friendly dishes; however, one of the entrees had meat in it when it was brought to our table. Waitress said it was kitchen’s mistake, no big deal, they’ll remake it, easy fix, right? WRONG, they decided just to fish out all of the meat, microwave it and bring it back to the table. You guessed correctly, they missed some of the meat. Called the manager who took the dish away and went to “investigate” never to be seen again for the rest of the meal. Didn’t bother to apologize or try to clear things up. We did run into him on the way out, but he looked the other way and ignored us.On the side note, they completely forgot about one of the dishes, had to remind them 3 times about the drinks which they finally brought out AFTER the food. You may be thinking that the place was probably busy, but no, there was only 1 more table except us. The bill did come really quickly and the waitress did not bill us for that dish which is nice of them I guess.P.S. Whats up with all these blank recent 5 star reviews? You guys are not buying FAKE REVIEWS righttttttttt?
Food portions great. Home made food, owner from Samarkand. Mantu and lamb with beer🤩😍. Its a must eat if you in town.
Wow, just wow! We had Plov, lamb with dried apricots, noodles and dumplings, paired with Moldovan wine and green tea. Maybe our best meal in Lviv with great service.
Amazing food and service! Being Uzbek myself, I can say with confidence that its the best place to try authentic Uzbek cuisine.
Great food which is very fresh and authentic. The service was incredibly friendly as was the owner of the restaurant. Our best meal (and staffduring our time in Lviv! Thank you for a great time in the restaurant.
Indeed a very beguiling place. Excellent service and flavoursome food. Loved it
It is a very nice place. Food is delicious. There are many vegiterian options. What else do we need? 😀
I visited quite a few restaurants during my stay in Lviv. Chaikhana Samarkanda was the best choice. Both food and service exceeded my expectations.
AWESOME food!!! Just ignore warnings about how spicy things are (Ukrainians just dont do spicy...), order spicy sauce to everything and enjoy!Very good service, super nice, cool dressed, beautiful smiles;Dunno if there is upstairs, but it looks super small. Causy, nice interior. Definitely one of top restaurants in Lviv!!!
Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, place itself modest, may not look like much but I guarantee food will shoot you in the fifth dimension. Give it a try when youre around.
I visited there with my wife and everything was good. Ozbek plov was really delicious and the meat was amazing. Prices are good and service is fast. Definitely worth to visit
Very nice place, maybe not in the most turist part of city but only few minutes by car. Food was very good, big portions, service was wonderful and very. There isnt a lot of Uzbek cuisine restaurant at least where I live or was so its also nice to have occasion to try a new flavors.
Top place to eat . Really good Uzbek food. Very good service highly recommend wort of moving out of city centre and taste something different . Maybe not the best location in city itself.
Great Uzbek restaurant with friendly English-speaking owner and staff, delicious lavash roll with tomatoes and cheese, plov and other Uzbek dishes. Well priced for the quality, has a nice outdoor terrace with two small tables for warm summer days. Their draft wheat beer went well with all the dishes.
The food is excellent, but the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, we had to wait because the restaurant didn’t have a menu for us, then we were stuck with 1 for about 10 minutes. It was a surprise as the place wasn’t even that busy. Then we were served beer that was room temperature from the tap, after being informed that bottled beer is warm due to fridge failure. The starters and the dishes were excellent, but my girlfriends main dish arrived together with the starters and she had to wait 20 minutes for my main. After my arrived hers was cold. She asked for it to be recooked, which resulted in me waiting 5 minutes for her dish. This ruined our experience. We expected a lot more since this isn’t a very cheap restaurant by Ukrainian standards.
Most memorable dish in Lviv. Super!
Awesome experience! At first we were worried that the place had closed down, but we then found out that its simply located in the basement around the corner from Pekarska Street. Despite being in a basement, the locale was actually super comfortable and cozy. There were loads of different wines to choose from, while also a selection of local beer on tap. We first shared a lavash roll with cheese and tomatoes, which was ridiculous good! For the main course we had lyula kebab and the vegetarian kovurma lagman. Both dishes were fantastic. The portion sizes were perfect, as we cleaned our plates and saturated our hunger. The service was excellent and I can warmly recommend this place. Ill definitely come back the next time I visit Lviv!
Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely decor. Definitely worth a visit. I would not hesitate to go back. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you Samarkand
Amazing, cheap food, but you have to wait for a long time to eat something.
Place is OK. But overrated 😂 to be honest food was OK service was also not bad. Place is little cozy and different, but I wont say it authentic Uzbeki food. I have been to many cities and tasted authentic Arabic/Indian /Uzbeki/African food. I would say its barely good enough to try. Lviv is place of tourists so maybe for some its enough but for food lovers its nothing I would say. Place accept CC and cash both. Place is expensive if I compare the quality of food its not worth. Spicy food 😩 not at all. The taste I got wasnt enough to be called real spicy food. Due to location and lack of competition the resturaunt is thriving otherwise it wont stand a chance . SO I WOULD LIKE TO SAY IF YOU NEVER TASTED Uzbeki FOOD ITS GOOD FOR YOU BUT IF YOU KNOW THE TASTE OF ARABIC/Indian /Uzbeki OR SPICY FOOD ITS NOT WORTH VISIT.
Amazing experience <3 we just loved it!! we were new to uzbeki food but for sure we will keep ot in mind !! good job guys fresh food and great flavours and nice servers
We have ordered plov (delicious and we really recommend itand chicken with potatoes, carrots and broth which was also good. Although we prefered the plov.Additionally, we had oriental tea - refreshing and not too intense what was good.As a dessert we took baklava and freshly made chalwa from sunflower seed - wonderful. We really recommend this place as the food was great and also the staff very friendly and nice.
The menu doesn’t tell you what they serve. I’d read rave reviews and having been to Uzbekistan last year was looking forward to eating here. I ordered a main course, with ingredients listed, but then was served a dish covered in cheese which I cannot eat. Why was the huge amount of cheese not mentioned as an ingredient on the menu. I sent the meal back and did not eat there. The staff were apologetic and wanted me to order another dish but I had zero trust in the place. The beer was good, the staff and management wanted to help but I’m sick to death of getting dishes that are not what it says on the menu.
Such an amazing, tasty and cheap dinner! I would recommend this place to everyone!
Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was beyond amicable and I generally had a good time in this establishment. There is something about almost fetish-like relationship with tartar sauce in Uzbek cuisine and not to forget - dill. Lot of it. I was quite surprised there was no dill in my kompot-style lemonade.
Absolutely delicious food! If you are craving mildly flavorful or spicy food or indian food - go here instead! Youll love it even better. The portions are just enough to fill you but they wont completely stuff you. Prices are affordable
Amazing Uzbeki restaurant in lviv.Every staff is welcoming and warm. They make sure you have a tummy full and pleasant meal .The owner is kickass guy .All the rice dishes are mouth watering.
Beer ordered at the begining but served after soup and main meal. Strange. No internet connection. You can connect to the router, but router has no internet connection so you cant use internet via its infrastructure. Most important: be VERY carefull - tip for service included in a bill!!! 10% !!!!!
I was waiting long time for my dish. I got it before a table that was waiting much time before me, but when it arrived it was cold.Dumplings are delicious, service is good, nothing special. Overall experience 3/5
Just one word to describe - fantastic! Very good soup „mastava” with meat, rice and vegetables. Then great samosa dumplings with meat, onion and fresh tomato sauce. And as a great „finish” - lamb with vegetables. It is hard to describe how tasty and yummy it was.
Fantastic food and service for an affordable price. Try the lamb with apricots. Maybe the best meal Ive had in a month in Ukraine!
The homemade noodles I ate the first time was amazing. So I went back the second day and it wasnt great. Neither was the rice dish.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Ukraine, so if you pass through Lviv, be sure to visit it. I had the greatest experience with dishes that were new to me, but at the same time tasted like home, and it was all delicious. The service was amazing, as the woman who attended our table was ever so kind, as was the owner of the restaurant, who I got to meet at the end of my dinner. Overall, everything was great and made me want to come back once I have the opportunity.Дякую за все!
Although the location is a bit out of the center, it sounded interesting and we decided to visit here. It was such an excellent experience. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The staff as well as the manager were also cheerful, very kind, and helpful. Highly recommended
I loved the home made Uzbek cuisine, served with tons of sympathy. The workers and the owner were very kind and caring, so it felt really good to be there. I recommend this place to everyone who visits Львів
Very nice place. They have a rich menu of central asian food. The staff is very encline to help and service you.
This was my first go with Uzbek (or is it Uzbeki or Uzbekistanifood. And a great first time it was.I had two soups; the creamy lentil soup, which was very good, and the rabbit and lamb (if I recall correctlywith vegetables in broth, which was excellent. As a main course, I had the chicken with rice, which was flavorful and well spiced, but not overly so. And that was heaven.Great place if you’re gluten free. Many items are marked as such, and more dishes that aren’t marked are. Just ask the staff, and use your smartphone or an allergy translation card to explain.A must go if you’re in Lviv.
Awesome food. Excellent service. If Im ever back to Lviv I will definitely come here to stuff my belly up with their dumplings as I just did today.
Great, unique (to mefood for very decent prices. The restaurant entrance is below street-level and can be missed. Try looking around the corner if you cant find it.
Worst experience. Had to leave Restuarant after waiting one and half hours. Waiter even couldn’t remember our order. Worst service. We went there after reading positive reviews but I think all that are false. We noticed same with other customers.Strongly not recommend.
Very simple Uzbek restaurant located a short distance from the Historic center of Lviv . Food is very tasty and prices are excellent given the quality. Highly recommended.
Uzbekistan Cuisine :-Very friendly and helpful staff! Been there on 16.06.2017 and everything was perfect! Probably best restaurant Ive visited during my trip to Lviv! :-)
This was our favorite dining experience from our trip to Lviv. The restaurant owners are very sweet and helpful. The food is delicious!!! We got the lagman noodles and the manti and were truly impressed with these dishes. The restaurant is in a nice spot. A little out of the way, but a nice walk from the city center. I highly recommend this place. I hope they flourish.
