MoreFabulous food. Great service. Will definitely go back 🥰
Great food and very nice staffs 🤗
Food lovely, staff lovely. Smells musty when you walk in but is fine in the restaurant
MoreThe best thai food Ive every had and at very reasonable prices. The staff are also very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
MoreLittle gem of a place. Was quiet when we got there but midweek kinda understandable.Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu is extensive and covers everything you could really want.Would be nice to have sticky rice on the menu, that was only thing missing for me.Salads are a real winner and probably an overlooked item but super tasty, fresh and spicy although less chilli than i was expecting for a 2* heat rating.Mains were fresh, hot and delicious with plenty of sauce. For 2 salads, 2 mains and a side plus drinks the bill was under £50 which i thought was great value. Left very well fed, the portions are very reasonable.
MoreExcellent food, quick service and friendly staff.
Most impressed with this first visit. Would recommend it to anyone for a special celebration or just an evening out. Food was really good, also service. A small point that I appreciate, no intrusive background music.
MoreThe two-course lunch deal is just perfect in terms of price and portion. Lots of choices on the menu. Tom yum soup and green chicken curry are delicious. Great decorations and service.
MoreDelicious food, excellent service. Well recommended.
The food was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked and full of exciting authentic flavours. The service was lovely too.
MoreReally excellent little gem of a restaurant. 5 of us ate here for our 2021 Xmas meal and the food was delicious, reasonably priced and service was excellent - what more can you ask for? Cant wait to go again in the new year - best Thai restaurant Ive been to so far
MoreAlways amazing food at very reasonable prices. The staff are lovely too
Well what a find! We went to this restaurant on a recommendation. We had the most superb evening. Really, the best Thai. The food is so fresh tasty and truly delicious. We had Menu B - superb! As for the staff of this family owned and run business I would put 6/5 stars if I could. Do not walk past this place. You will not do better, in Nottingham or elsewhere.
MoreLove, love, love Chai Yo Thai. The food is amazing, so reasonably priced, but its the service from this family run business that keeps you coming back. Amazing, just amazing.
MoreWe visited at the weekend and had a really lovely meal, the food was great & service could not fault it. We will definitely be returning 👍🏻
MoreWhat a hidden little gem. Great food- ensure you come hungry and have an empty stomach as the portions were huge. We had the set platter b and rolled out the place due to amount of food provided. Very quiet setting- literally had the restaurant to ourselves for most of the meal which was lovely. Prices were a bargain for the quality and amount of food you get. Definitely will be returning and telling everyone I know to ensure they visit this place when heading to Nottingham.
MoreReally enjoyed my visit here. Beautiful interior. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. And the food? Very nice indeed. Vegetable spring rolls were just what I needed to calm my rumbling stomach, and the main event, Pla manow, steamed sea bass, was excellent. Sadly no space for dessert after too much egg fried rice. And all for about £20. Excellent value. Would be most happy to return. Give it a try, dont think youll be disappointed.
MoreSuperb Thai restaurant. Was a but quiet when we dined on a Friday at 7pm, but soon got busy. Food was superb, drinks were reasonable and the service was spot on. The dishes were fresh and tasty. I have dined at many Thai restaurants and eaten in Thailand and I was impressed. Best was the bill, it was so reasonable.
MoreAuthentic food and setting, with fantastic service. Cant recommend it enough! Enough spice to challenge us without going OTT.... Look forward to returning next time we visit.
MoreIt was the best Thai food I have had in a long time and the wife loved her vegetarian dishes as well.
MoreLovely family-run restaurant serving delicious food at a very reasonable price Calm atmosphere with prompt and friendly service too.Highly recommended!
MoreStunning decor and atmosphere as soon as you step in, the food was delicious and came out quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful.
MoreAmazing food, copious portions and lovely quick service. I would recommend this place to anyone who feels like a Thai in Nottingham!
MoreMy first Thai restaurant and boy was it worth it. The food was amazing, hot and tasty. Will definitely go back. Highly recommended.
MoreHad a lovely enjoyable meal , food was hot , spicy & tasty . Great atmosphere , attentive service , making a very chilled evening . Would recommend
MoreBeautiful layout and atmopshere. The food was amazing and such a high quality, it came quite quickly yet did not feel rushed which added to the relaxed atmosphere. One of the best Thai restaurants Ive tried. Lovely service, would definitley go again and would recommend!
MoreVery pleased with my time spent there. Service was okay, little slow as it was not busy at all and we had to wait a bit for our food to arrive. They were very pollite though. Food was piping hot when served, all was fresh including chicken and seafood. Dishes full of flavours and the coconut rice was PHENOMENAL. Nice scenery inside and loads of details.
MoreNice looking place. However they are not very vegan friendly or clued up at all. They had to check I was okay with coconut milk! Even most of the vegetarian dishes were not even vegetarian as they contained fish sauce but you had to check the allergens chart that told you this.
MoreLovely food! Affordable for students and very cosy environment. Very close to the tram stop, so easy journey. Lovely service too with mints :)
MorePretty stock western style Thai restaurant. Food was OK but not really feeling authentic. No Thai sticky rice. Lots of x sauce with choice of meats like the usual Western oriental/Chinese takeaway. Food was quick, tasted OK and service was adequate. If you really want an authentic Thai a miss. If you want something oriental, relatively tasty and quick then no problem.
MoreLovely relaxed restaurant with delicious food, served in a bowl with a candle under to keep it warm. Nice touch. Had Jungle Curry that tasted wonderful. Waiting staff were great.
MoreDelicious. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The food is full of flavour and the menu is big enough to give you choice, but restrained enough so as not to be fussy. The staff are all polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. Would recommend.
MoreJust ok. Have had better in other Thai restaurants. Service was Very good nonetheless.
MoreWe recently ordered a takeaway whilst on holiday in Norfolk and the food was fantastic, really flavoursome. So good in fact we ordered again two days later. Staff friendly. Would order again and recommend to others.
MoreI love this place for a lunch, Im a regular (only open Thursday, Friday or Saturday for lunch though). Work in the City so not far from my place of work and express lunch is amazing value for money, £6 main, crazily express (I think theyve managed 5mins as a record for 2 of us). Green curry is superb, fresh, rich, lovely rice, great portion size, amazing presentation, lovely family / staff... couldnt ask for more.
MoreLove it here the food is so nice. The staff are very happy and welcome you and help you if you need help with the menu been so many times. Always love when we return.
MoreWeve been coming here for years and love it. Great food and friendly service. The tom yum, sea bass and beef salad are our firm favourites and theres also a great choice for vegetarians too. Definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for great Thai food.
MoreWe visited prior to a comedy gig and rocked up early without making a booking to find we were the first people there. It was only later that we realised they had actually opened earlier than advertised so no wonder we were first. The food was delicious and although Im no expert it felt authentic too, The service was also fine and even the bill wasnt too bad so overall I would recommend here.
MoreGreat tasting Thai food for reasonable price. Unfortunately service for us that evening was a slight let down. everyone who came in received complimentary prawn crackers but we didnt receive any.
MoreLove this place! Best Thai food in town (IMHO). Great value, great food, great price, very friendly staff providing great service, very clean place, lovely Thai decor and very peaceful atmosphere! Shame they wont let me live there - oh, if only!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
MoreA delightful Thai restaurant, its up a side street with an unassuming frontage. The restaurant is in the basement but it felt very spacious. The food was delicious with a chicken, beef, fish and tofu options. The staff were very friendly and couldnt be more attentive. If you like Thai food you wouldnt be disappointed.
MoreThis is by far the best Thai restaurant in Nottingham. Family run, great service, amazing tasting food and not even expensive. Place has nice decor too. Recommended trying the green curry, stir fry with chilli and holy basil and finally the garlic and white pepper stir fry (but everything here seems to taste good!!).
MoreGreat authentic family run Thai cafe. Set price lunch is fast fabulous and cheap. Freshly cooked healthy hot food served to you for the price of a sandwich.
MoreLove this place, really friendly and accommodating. Weve been many times with groups from 4 to 14 and they have always served us promptly. Food is delicious and varied from mild to spicy. Thai is a nice change from usual Chinese and usually lighter and fresher tasting.
MoreLovely place in Nottingham - a hidden gem! Coconut rice is DELICIOUS and celebrated my sisters 21st and the staff decorated the table beforehand and happily brought out the cake. 10/10 would recommend!
MoreThe food is so good! I had the Pad Si-ew (pictured below), and it was so filling!! Definitely coming back!
MoreIve been 3 times and planning on going again this week. Great food, cooked fresh to order. Really affordable set menu too, brilliant vegetarian choice. Their mock duck is just perfect!
MoreService is great, exceptionally friendly and forthcoming. The inside is nicely decorated, relaxing and calm. Then there is the food.No doubt some of the best Thai curries you can find.I can recommend the set meals in particular.Plenty to go around for a few people, and last time we went the chef himself even offered us some seconds.
