Český Krumlov Castle Tower in Ceske Budejovice

Great place to visit from Prague, about 3 hours by bus. You can easily do it in 4 hours as everything is close enough. I took the English tour to the Castle and dont recommend it (But its up to you). No pictures or videos inside the Castle.

Wonderful Place

Beautiful castle, huge size similar to the Belgian Bouillon. Sad, that the English tour here is also a bit faked history and provided by someone who cant speak proper English.

Tower is offering beautiful panoramas.

The tower climb is worth is for the views! You can climb the tower for 150 czk and get to visit the castle museum as well.

Worth the ticket to go up

Very beautiful. As you walk through it, you get transported back in time. Bring comfortable shoes because you go up hill in order to see it. The view of Cesky Krumlov from there is breathtaking.

The view at the top is awesome! Well worth doing and the castle museum was good too.

This was the last of the pieces we had to see of Český Krumlov castle. The Tower was worth the wait. We like to do a piece every time we visit and then go into town. The tower has its own castle and museum and the view from the top cant be beat. I highly highly recommend this to you.

This castle is also keeping bears in the most cruel tiny place. It’s torture and it’s really not ok.I regret visiting and sponsoring it, I would have liked to know this in advance. Please don’t sponsor this animal cruelty by visiting this town.

Tickets are ok price this tower has an incredible view of all the city at the top is a 360 and is just wonderful to see eveything around to take some nice photos or videos

Absolutely beautiful 360 views of the entire city from the top of your this castle tower. The stairs were a bit dangerous, and clearly very old- definitely climb with caution.

Awesome place, but partially closed due to covid + rude and very impolite woman at ticket office.

The staff at the toilet was not friendly. I urgently needed to use the toilet but didn’t have my wallet with me. The staff refused to let me use the toilet first before my friend comes with my wallet.

The 360 view of the city from above is magnificent. It can get a bit crowded at times. There are a few flights of steps you need to climb. The last one is very narrow and steep, but its worth it. Also when you buy the ticket, combine it with the ticket for the castle museum. Its well worth a visit and you get a discount if you combine the tickets.

Climbing the stairs at 7 months pregnant in the summer heat wasn’t fun, but the view was just so WORTH IT! The only bad thing I would point out is the grumpy guy sitting in the museum section, always looking super ugly at us and not even saying hello.

Must see place in Cesky Krumlov. Stoning view over the town. Museum is worthy of the time as well.

The lowest rate for the staff.She didnt even be patient to me.I didnt know there was student discount,she just said its too late, and in the process she didnt look me though.It was like to be treated like Im dumb tourist.Bad memories with this spot.But the tower was great.

A great place for watching panorama of Krumlov, also some exhibitions of the Castle.

This tower offers a great view of the surrounds at the top. The staircase up to it is half the fun! The ticket also includes entry to an interesting museum of the castles history.

I love viewpoints and this tower has a beautiful view on the city. Climbing up takes only a few minutes. 150 CZK per person combined with the museum.

A good old fashion walk up authentic feeling steps. It can be very narrow in parts with only one way up and down. The view from the top is amazing and well worth looking down on the picture perfect town. Absolutely love this city

Amazing view from the top of the tower, able to observe the town in a clearer picture from above. The climb was an exhilarating experience, but not for those who are faint hearted. However, we were ultimately let down by the male staff at the ticket counter in the Museum & Tower area. We were taken aback by his rudeness & he was not very friendly or informative in answering our queries. Overall experience was alright, but couldve been better.

A bit crowded but it’s worth seeing.

Great place to see the whole city. Does take a little bit of an effort to climb the stairs but should be doable for most people. The view from the top is definitely worth the climb.

We went on a sunny day. Views were stunning. A great photo op. We didn’t pay to go for the tour. We were just happy to walk around. It looks like a great place for a beer at the top in the summer. During quiet season it was still busy. Highly recommend!

Superb view from the castle tower. A 360-degree view of the town from high above. However climbing up and down is a bit dangerous because it was quite dark inside and tourists may crash on the way up or down. But it’s worth it!!

An imposing tower snd castle that was the seat of the power Rosenberg noble family. The castle has a magnificent view of the River Vltava and old town below

20 min climb. Power through and you won’t even feel it.Narrow stair ways so if it’s busy make sure you time your decent otherwise it gets complicated and crowded.

The tower does limit the tourists number, so it might be quite crowdy on the top floor. But the view is astonishing and charm.
