Cerveceria Antiguo Almacen de la Madera y El Tabaco - Restaurant in Havana, Cuba
Cerveceria Antiguo Almacen de la Madera y El Tabaco in Havana
Description
Privilege
MoreI dont recommend going to the tourists because they dont like the makers. There is a different price application for the tourists. Its awful. Be careful.
MoreDrunkin chicken was fantastic... Beer great... Highly recommended
Maybe we were there on the wrong shift... but first the sold us a beer tower that was supposed to have 3liters and only had 2. When we complained the guy said he never even saw that there was a mark and did not offer to complete the 3liters. Then we asked for food and like the only thing they had where pork sticks that came rare (undercooked).
MoreA great spot to stop for a beer...
Great live music, beer, and food. Amazing view
Nice location, great beer and a lovely atmosphere. The band played good, and the place looked nice with all the brewery equipment.
MoreWas a good place dont go too early!!
If you love Beer, than this is the right place for you! Excellent ambience with a mazing musicians...
MoreOnly had one beer on tap. It was not at all good. Yeasty and sweet, under attenuated. I think someone cracked the whip and forced the brewers to serve a product that was about 2/3 through fermentation. We were not able to see a menu and the waiter tried to charge us 12cuc for 3 glasses of beer and a lemonade. When questioned as to the price he said "OK, .... 9cuc".They do appear to have some decent quality Austrian brewing equipment. The building is stunning and the breezy patio is such a nice place to chill. So much potential - what a shame.
MoreGreat view, great ambient. Service its OK. Place is really cool.
Really good beer
Went there for a Havana Club bartenders competition so maybe my experience is different but I loved the space , the location and the service is top notch .
MoreBeer was good but the skewers were dry and cold
Unless you are starving DONT GO HERE. We went and were told to see the menu which was on the wall. When we selected the food we were told none was available. We then asked the waiter what was available and he told us the three dishes that they had. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS GOVERNMENT OWNED. DONT GO TO A GOVERNMENT OWNED PLACE.
MoreThe place looks really attractive, but the service was dreadful. The waiter refused to show us a menu, just told us about three dishes no prices no nothing and offered us just Heineken beer. For a place that calls itself a brewery this is really unacceptable. Could be nice if youre lucky, location is nice... smelled like scam to us.
MoreFrom the other reviews and photos, this place (brewery and restaurantmust have produced beer and food in the recent past. Our groups recent experience (end of September 18was not good. They were not producing beer (only cans at 2 CUCand almost everything on the menu (that water was reluctant to showwas not available. Our order of shrimp enchilada (5 CUCwas a small pile of mini caned shrimp in a red sauce with a sprig of cilantro. Far from the typical presentation of a enchilada and not very edible. I suppose this restaurant is at the mercy of suppliers (government or privateand your results may vary greatly.
MoreMust go in Cuba!!!
A nice place where to spend the afternoon with beer and Cuban atmosphere.. Cuba surprised me for beer too!
MoreI got sick after eating there...
Try the dark beer at this massive brew pub.
MoreNice beer. Watch out for scamming waitress (large, short with brown hair mentioned in numerous tripadvisor reviews). She refused to show a menu and tried to charge 50% higher than the price of beer. Also said the free ham/cheese platter was finished, after which we saw it being brought out for another hour.
MoreWasnt expecting much from Cuban beer after drinking Cristal, but the craft beer here was really good. They serve three beers: claro, oscuro and negra. Claro was my favourite and reminded me of the Czech beer Pilsner Urguell. The food was nothing worth writing home about though
MoreNot normally a beer drinker (unless in Germany), however, the beer here was very good. I was thoroughly impressed! The black beer was awesome! The light was also very good. The service was great too. All in all very happy with this restaurant/brewery!
MoreVery good beer but went there twice and got scammed twice. It says a jarra is 2 CUC but they will make up an excuse to charge you 3 CUC (only $1 difference but thats a 50% mark-up!). Make a small fuss (I looked at their complaint hotlineand they should turn honest.
MoreI want much bear here
The beer you can buy in Cuba is underwhelming to say the least. Its usually flat and there is no character whatsoever no matter if its Cristal or Bucanero. This brewery is the exception, the beer and drinks are outstanding.
MoreFood was excellent, service even better. Live entertainment was great. Defiantly a must.
MoreClean good beer and good music.
Amazing place. Good Food, beer, place and music!
Shaded, open air seats are mostly exposed to the sea breeze. Nice place to sit and enjoy a cold drink while waiting for your friends to finish shopping in the nearby market of perpetual inferno.
MoreNice place but the price for an Mojito is to high (4 CUC)
Touristy, but great food. They brew their own beer here - pretty tasty! We enjoyed lunch on the water, and a REALLY tall beer.
MoreWhat a wonderful place, and a kindly brewery. Sea views from the verandah, and an interior recalling a German beer hall of old. The 3 beers brewed are good, solid and low-enough ABV to allow for multiple mugs. Staff, while not hovering, do pay attention to their customers.
MoreGreat place to savour locally brewed beer. You could combine this with a visit to the artisan market nearby.
MoreMissed it this last trip but in 2015 it was a cool comfortable respite from the June heat and the two tour of the Art Mart. We will return in March and are staying nearby so we will be back.
MoreIts superb
great beer and daiquiri drinks
The beer is good but they dont have a menu you have to stand up and read the menu on a big sign
MoreThe place is nice but the price of the beer was far too expensive. 4 cuc 1/2 lt!!!The landscape is not very nice.
MoreHad a drink there after city walks. we sit outside for the wonderful weather and seaview. Great lemonade I had. I see most people order the rocket size beer for sharing.
MoreThe place to escape from Caribbean hots
