22 Avenida Juan Ponce de León, San Juan, 00907, Puerto Rico, San Juan
Major performing arts center offering concerts, plays, ballet & events, named for local politician.
It’s a good place for you to enjoy the art’s. It’s close to everything related to the metropolitan areas. Nevertheless, there is not enough parking for the handicap. The area that is close to the cashier (towards your right sideis always closed to the public. It’s only available to their staff. There are a few handicap parking spaces there. However, even if you have the handicap card, they won’t honor it because it’s only exclusive for their staff. To my amazing surprise, the staff will not even allow a car to drop off a person that is in need to be close to the elevator.I have observed that they allow their family and friends to park there; while those of us with a disability are ignored and neglected. I attend a quite amount of time at the place to comprehend how they play their ways of not honoring the handicap right to have access to the building without significant barriers. And, to be beyond amazed many people are treated disrespectfully when you ask for a closer parking spot .It’s interesting to observe that those that have comfortable access to the elevators, staff, family and friends, are quite young and healthy.I can’t comprehend how the staff has such levels of comfort in order to go to work. As much as I know, for an employee having a parking space is a courtesy; but, not an obligation. If the visitors are spending quite enough money to be there, how come they don’t have the right to park were is needed?Someone that is receiving a great income to be the person in charge of the place is definitely not doing their job.Puerto Rico have such habits of neglecting the rights of the handicap. It seems that they are either not well trained and or supervised in making sure they honor the federal rules. Just having a rail or an elevator is not enough. Consequently, I strongly believe that we, as handicap, must consult with a counsel to see if a lawsuit can solve the problem.
Beautiful place, enough parking. Outside, the courtyard the fountain and statues are beautiful. To Go inside you need to wearer mask all the time as Covid protocol, if you missed the mask, they kindly offer you one, no charge. Very kind people working around there.
Beautiful place a very good acoustic always EXCELENT presentations
Great place, didnt go to see a show or act but to participate in a camp (Jovenes Sobre las Tablas). As it says in the title, is a camp for juveniles and under, its a great camp where you learn lots of things like clown, masks, acting, filming, make-up and more. Trough the camp you participate in acts, you go see acts(not in the same placeBUT you get to act in Centro de Bellas Artes. Pretty cool camp it has seen better days but still enjoyed it and I know it will be better.
Parking fee extremely expensive it’s duplicate charge from $5.00 to $10.00This was last night
Beautiful place, and easy in and out. Great experience 👍.
Performing Arts Center is great but arrive early. Parking fillls up fast. Pay your parking prior to seeing the show. After show long line for paying your parking .
Great acoustics and ambience. Every seat is close to the stage, and the employees were great.👍
Excellent place to view any activity
The Best shows in town! Medium capacity venue, but nice and cozy.
Good place for events and stuff but I called to ask what was needed to enter since Im coming from Houston for a concert and the lady from "Servicios Generales" hang up in my face, not professional or nice.
First time there and it was a great experience, very beautiful place to enjoy any concert, plays, recommend for you to enjoy as much as I did.
Excellent place to visit and watch a good show.
Bellas Artes is a great facility with multiple theatres. The courtyard has a series of statues that represent the Greek muses...really worth seeing. Easy access and reasonable ticket prices as well as restaurants in easy walking distance.Worth a visit!
Great place to arts performances, I went to a Queen Sinfónico Tribute concert and was exceptionally. Ill recommend it.
Enjoyed show and had a nice place to get some 🇵🇷 plates.
This is Puerto Ricos equivalent of Lincoln Center. Saw a phenomenal modern dance/ballet performance here called Temporada Primavera. Everyone should go and support these talented dancers.
Everything was good. Clean, organize and the concert was excellent.
Had a wonderful time at CBA. Saw Humberto Ramirez lead his jazz symphony. It was spectacular. Worth the price and long line at Will Call for ticket pick up.
Nice place to walk around and take good pictures. Great place for concerts and good location.
Its a center for cultural events, what is surprising costs are terrible expensive to see a show and the irony is, its funded by the Goverment or may I say taxes that we pay.
This is a beautiful venue. Well designed, with good visibility all the way to the last row. The stage seemed very roomy, even in the upper levels where Clara was able to fly off in her sleigh, her Nutcracker by her side. Plenty of benches outdoors--a boon to those who cant walk far. It would be nice, though, to have a few sheltered areas outdoors for when it rains.
The ballet was supposed to start at 4pm and the theatre decided to open the doors at that same hour. The show got delayed and even then lots of people were almost 30 minutes+ late because of the theaters decision.
It’s always clean and well kept. The parking is appropriate for the venue. Nice restaurant in front but very busy. Book restaurant as soon as you buy tickets for before/after show meals. Easy in and out location.
Reopen after close at the Covid-19, Welcome Again!!! View Donna Summer Experience tribute. Amazing show.
Fito Paez gave an amazing performance! After showing your tickets for entry, you must present your vaccination card and the hand sanitizer machine is also a thermometer.
Went for a rock concert and staff was surprisingly organized, bathrooms were clean. Had a nice time. Bar closes early though
Excellent. The ushers could not have been nicer. Great sound, great concert
The procession of these beautiful women as ushers into the theater could compete with all the Stars in the Galaxy. The placement of the figures from first to last is the invitation to all found within. Every detail from the gowns to the coffieurs is a glowing work of precision. I come here often for inspiration and gratitude for this portrayal of women in the culture of Puerto Rico.
Great venue, comfortable seating, temperature, and facilities. Attentive staff. Enjoyed Danny Rivera, Armando Manzaneros concert. Outstanding.
The venue has everything you want in a music hall. The only quibble is that it gets to cold. Music sounds great, from the second floor it still had clarity and excellent soundstage. Price was good, began on time. Recommended.
I use to go there 3 times a year. Excellent facilities and a lot of parking. The program veried from classical to pop concerts.
Saw a first class, Broadway quality production of Hamilton! With Lin-Manuel Miranda! Beautifully refurbished, comfortable seating, perfect sight lines, well matched acoustics. We were very pleased with this theater, inside and out, and add that remarkable show!!! An evening that will bring us lasting great memories.
Spacious theater, great acoustics and bathrooms were spotless. Second level seats were kinda scary, especially if you wear high heels. However, seats are comfortable and space between other seats was acceptable. Outside of the theater there were benches to sit during the intermission. Ushers were very hospitable.
Basically perfect. Every single seat has amazing viewing angles. I saw Sister Act with my school and I had an absolute blast. The seats were pretty comfortable and moving between the isles wasnt bad at all. The sound is amazing and like I said, viewing angles were great. Totally worth the money
Great venue. Acoustics and lighting and sight lines are great.Lines for restrooms enormous during intermission.Air conditioning is intense. I needed a real jacket and would have not stayed for the second act if it wasnt the amazing Lin Miranda in Hamilton. A mind blowing experience!
Great theater- saw Hamilton there and it was a great venue
Went to see Hamilton on Saturday night SUPERB!!!!! The play was awesome and the personnel at Bellas artes did an outstanding job. Lines moved well to get in and seated. My son had someone seated in his seat and ushers quickly fixed that. The crowd was great too only saw two folks trying to take pics and they were quickly taken care of too. Only problem I saw was the ladies restroom not enough time to make the line use the restroom and return to this seat. Play started up for second half and folks mostly ladies were trying to return to there seats. But my wife got in and then I left for the mens and was able to get back before the show started again. Police did an excellent job directing traffic crossing people and making a show of presence. Parking entrance and exit was a breeze and very reasonable. Did I mention the play was SUPERB!!!!!
This theater is in pretty good shape, despite its age. It is well-maintained, with clean lines and a fairly plain interior. The grounds outside are quite nice, a pleasant place to spend an hour or two while waiting for a performance, although it would benefit from a few more vendors. The restrooms are quite small, and my wife waited the entire intermission in line.Still, an altogether pleasant place.
Great theatre! It was my first time on the Centro de Bellas Artes and I was stunned by its beauty. I am happy that my island has such a great place for performances. I went to see Hamilton with Lin, and everything was perfect. I dont think there was a bad seat in the house.
The facility look nice and big. Not enough parking for such a place. Have to park at another facility across the street. The theater room is big and has a great view of the stage. Lights and sound was good. The seats are uncomfortable. Theres little leg room.
Have gone to watch a couple of plays here. Very nice setting. Personally I like it on the 2nd floor 1st row but Ive sat on the 1st floor (mid-cnter& its good too, you see a little more details. I like how they also have a restaurants near the premises just in case you want to satisfy your self with a glass of wine or just have a grab to bite.
I had a great time. The only problem was lack of facilities for my elderly mother to sit while waiting for the doors to open. Then, to get to her seat she had to climb lots of stairs. No ramp inside the theater.
Theater was big enough for the concert. They have varios theaters in the same building, so there were 3 activities at the same time running in each theater, but neither bother the other, sound proof is excelent. Ushers were helpful and attentive. The place was clean. The seats were comfortable.
Went on my bday to watch" 6 posiciones sexuales que no conoces" and I had a blast , laugh so much with the presentation.. The place is very comfortable and you can see the show from every corner . The only bad thing is the restrooms , they were place on only one side of the theater.
I realized that this theater is not the same as before. The plays that are selled as comedy are very vulgar and the only thing they do is talk bad as a joke. That after 15 minutes only talking bad is not that funny and becomes monotonous. At least they should include warnings or a notice in the advertisement/ media so one knows and may buy something else. The CBA has good facilities and good location. I liked to go because I dressed well and go out at night.
Lovely theatre space. Adequate bathrooms. Needs better sound system. Could use a parking facility. We saw the last performance of comedic take on the eighties in PR. Cast were top quality performers. Understand the show is going to Orlando soon. Carch it, if you want a fun evening of light entertainment.
Great place to go if you want to go to the theater or to a ballet. While my wife and I were there in December 2016 we went to see "The Nutcracker" which was well worth seeing.
I always enjoy spending my time here! Very attentive and respectful staff, always clean areas and lovely atmosphere. Wish I could come more often!
Nice facility. Nice service. They have a accessible bar and great A/C.
