Centrale in Beirut

The place is very nice and the decoration is light and classy.The service is professional and swift.The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients.The portions are ok taking into consideration that it is a fine dining style food.The presentation of food is nice and creative.Food is tasty to mention the Carpaccio, Filet de Boeuf and Cheese Cake.

One of the best restos in Beirut. The food is heaven. Small portions, but its fine dining, so you need to go through the 3 courses. Everything is soo good, the juicy beef skewers, chicken, ceaser salad, the sauces (butter, pepper..), and the desserts (fruit macaron - amazing and chocolate orange tart)! The entrance and garden are so beautiful. Seating is classy & cozy. The staff is amazing, they strike the ultimate balance between sophistication & friendliness (this is a major positive)! Prices are very fair for the value you get there. Book in advance. Love it!- Just one addition would be great: soft lounge music, just to take away some of the chatting noise.

Great food, I would say Centrale is one of the the few restaurants that still provide quality food at relatively fair prices, especially in terms of alcohol. Their meats are delicious, so is the rest of the menu, and the staff is always super friendly and professional. They’ll even exchange USD to LBP for you at the market rate.

Restaurant serving French cuisine. On the pricey side, but the execution of the meals prepared and the service provide value for money.

Adding on my original review: must try the pork and the fish (both pictured). Went to centrale a second time and these two were very delicious. Other people who I went with, they ordered the chicken and the veal - not exceptional, wouldnt order them again.First time visiting this restaurant, and really enjoyed the food and the drinks at the rooftop bar. Points go for its top food quality and service. The price for the food is fair. We ordered the salmon and the steak skewers (pictured- salmon was good but the steak skewers were better. Not pictured: frog appetizer and foie gras - both delicious, must try! The rooftop is nice, we had a big group so it was a bit too small for us. I had the gin basil and it was really good (more green than usual, but I enjoyed it).

One of my favorite restaurant in Beirut. This place never disappoints me! The food quality is always consistant, the dishes are delicious & nicely presented. It has an elegant garden where you can dine all year long. And there first floor bar is an experience of its own with a retractable roof & gorgeous view over Beirut skyline, must try!

Perfect ornamental and a great culinary experience! Its interior which was designed by architect Bernard Khoury, is an experience itself. The restaurant on the main floor is reminiscent of a waiting lounge at a futuristic train station, with wood and leather chairs that might just as well be found in the cabins of a Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express train!We definitely enjoyed our time and the team was very professional, and always checked on us. Nice place for food and drinks, since youre there its better if youre seated outdoor at one of these large lounge tables with a group of friends.The place is a bit pricey, but youll be receiving a great service and experience for it.Best to go there during the summer. On another note, getting to the place you will notice many architectural designs. Even the place has its own twist. Check its roof when youre there and youll know what Im talking about :)

Laud place full of annoying rich people. I would have give couple of stars more for some good dj night if I was not living in the neighbourhood and forced to listen their party till late. Very unrespectful. Very Beirut.

Somehow fancy place. You will find new sophisticated dishes. The portions are small but the dish will definitely make you full. Prices starting 85,000 LBP per dish, up to I think around 650,000 LBP per dish. You should pass by the place as it represents a new style. The seatings are really nice and the service is extremely good.

Was so disappointed by this well known and rated place.The indoor decoration is great (designed by Architect Bernard Khourybut the outdoor garden is cheap, the tables and chairs do not match the high end profile of the restaurant.To add:UnprofessionalTables are 1m apartMusic too low, all you can hear are people talkingWaiter talks to me like Im his broWe waited 10 minutes for the menuThe food was removed before asking if we were doneNo decoration in the "Garden" you feel that is was an afterthoughtWe waited 1h hour for the main course which came at a room temperature.Overall not visiting again

We had dinner at Centrale, their outside garden themed setting is beautiful, as for the bar it’s unique with a roof that half opens, and a dark and warm ambience. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and polite. The food is nothing short from tasteful, their steaks, cold cut platter, and desserts are must tries, I always enjoy my time at Central.

Cool space, very unique architecture.The bar upstairs and outside lounge areas are def worth a visit. The spot for post dinner date night type location. It is intimate, classy, and the type pf place where you can enjoy a beverage and have a conversation without screaming your lungs out. We sat at the bar upstairs. Unique architecture and definitely worth trying.

I love this bar. Its a beautiful building. But its a bit too fancy and expensive for my taste.Architect Bernard Khoury took an old Beirut building and did a daring architectural intervention. He stuck a metal tube inside the building. The result is outstanding. Its beautiful, modern, a bit violent, futuristic.We enter the restaurant from the traditional building and go up a (real coolelevator to reach the metal tube hosting the bar.Apart from that, drinks are ok, not special. Food is good, but also not special. Its fancy upscale bar food. Things like salmon, quinoa, burgers, fois gras... You get the idea. Its all well made, tasty...But the reason to go to the bar is really the architecture. Its how cool it looks.

Great food with a very chilled terrace. Centrale is one the few places in Beirut that held its position. The bar is very nice as well. Must visit !

A must try. One of the most elegant restaurants in town. I went their with a group of friends and we are definitely coming back. Great ambience, and very professional staff. I tried the burrata and it was out of this world. The interior design of the place adds to the whole experience.

A nice and cozy place in Downtown. Great choice for a lunch break for employees in azariyeh buildings. I recommend you to try Chicken buffalo salad, chicken alfredo pasta and Steak Sandwich.

This is a very fancy place for fine dining.The plates are exceptional with addictive tastes! The rooftop bar is made with a very creative idea, but to be visited during spring / summer rather than winter, as it is super freezing up there with its top being open.The music though should be changed to something more commercial / fun so the night lasts for a bit longer.

Perfect location in the heart of the downtown area. A cozy place thats great for a quick bite, a tasty cup of coffee, and a shisha (if youre into smoking). The service is really good, and the staff are nice and helpful. The nice thing about this place is the price: you get an amazing value for your money. This place is highly recommended for working, or for a small group gathering. I would love to go there again.
