Central Shahid Minar, a monument for the martyred of mother language who laid down their lives for mother language in 21st February 1952, is the national symbol of patriotism and one of the national spiritual places. The architect of Central Shahid Minar is Hamidur Rahman. It is situated at the DU campus & beside the DMC outdoor gate. I think we should keep this place free from any chaos and keep it neat & clean. Everyone should try to be responsible for self responsibility for country and countryman.

This is one of the historical place in Bangladesh, situated in the capital city Dhaka to show respect the martyrs of movement for our mother language Bangla. This is a nice place but cleanliness could be better. Responsible authority shoud take care of it but public responsibility is not to make the place dirty.

Nice place. Sometimes very crowded and sometimes very free.

Lovely place feels like heaven. But some major problem has which should be solved for better environment.

In my childhood we used to think this as a very serene place and never thought of going there there with shoes put on. However nowadays it’s become one of normal square for people to hangout. Nobody cares it’s cultural and historical value

This Shaheed Minar is situated in front of the Dhaka University medical center and near Dhaka Medical College Hospital. It is adjacent to the Mathematics department of Dhaka University.It has a great history related to the birth of Bangladesh. National Monument. It is the symbol of the movement of mother language, the sacrifices of lives for establishing the right to speak and communicate officially in mother tongue. This movement built the foundation of the mass uprising in 1969 and the liberation war of 1971. This monument has numerous replica monuments all over the country and beyond. The monument area is very attractive and worth visiting.

Shaheed Minar monument built in memory of the mother language martyrs, In the design there was a half-circular column Like heart of the monument and as a symbol of the mother and her martyred sons. But that only we can find in occasion.

History of our language survive with our Central Shahid Minar. But environment Is not suitable except 21st February. No Public toilet. Need few work to visit comfortbly with family.

Need to maintain Holiness Purity Cleanness round the year, not only on the International Mother Language DayCelebration. I visited on that period and feel proud.

In this busy town this place can give you fresh air for sometimes. Its for memories of those neglected days weve lost our brothers Salam Barkat Rafiq and Jabbar give their life for a language. Bangla is our mother tongue and we are proud to have this . Also English is our second language so we should learn it too.
