Central Filling Station - Beer garden in Knoxville, United States
We always enjoy going here. The variety of food trucks means that my whole family can go and we can all find something we like. It is also a nice atmosphere and a great outdoor dining place.
Wednesday night, 6pm, perfect weather, first time here.We enjoyed it, but cant say we "loved" it.Tonight there were 3 food trucks here, offering a variety of nachos, bbq and wings. And donuts! There was a wide beer selection at the lone beverage provider-- all beer served only in cans.Well definitely give this place another shot later, but with expectations in check for a more limited food variety and beers not on tap -- no complaints here, we just had something different in mind tonight.Very cool venue and great location!
Experience can varies on weather conditions and food truck line up. But regardless I recommend
Friendly staff and good drink selection. Check what trucks will be there in advance if you want food.
Great place to enjoy many different types of food. Plenty of seating and easy parking.
My family and I have been several times. We enjoy the variety of food and being outside! Never have had a bad meal here yet! 🦍🍔🍻
This place was relatively empty at night which definitely helped with parking, lines, and seating which wasnt a bad thing! The downside though was that they only had 4 trucks out there so less options. The food was good and the prices were affordable as well. Definitely small portions for some(Thaiand larger portions for others(Mexican). They also had a station which served beers, ciders, and seltzers at good prices 😋 They also have porta-pottys on site so that definitely helps.Overall a pretty good spot that I need to check out during the day for more options, hopefully!
Great beer selection and good from the food trucks. Tried cjs tacos which was great
The central filling station is a super cool concept! I love the rotating food trucks and trivia on Wednesdays. It’s in a cool part of town with a lot of neat things to do after or before you visit the Food truck park. I’ll definitely be back, Daddy D’s truck has to be my favorite so far!
Food truck park! If it concerns you, some trucks use Styrofoam for to-go food. I reckon it doesnt matter much to me as they burned lead inside our gasoline car engines the first twenty eight years of my life. Great foods though, especially if you dine at the park plus you can have a brew.
Love all the food trucks that just daily. Nice place to sit back and relax, and even better during the fall. They have a nice little fire to sit by. Will return!
First time here and it was a good time. Lots of food options and a unique experience.
LOVE this place! Relaxing atmosphere, great food trucks, great food and variety of beers!
Across the pond is legit for real. Nice setup all around although itll be rough in late july and August to be sitting out there
The food trucks here are amazing had the best garlic fries ever!
We enjoyed shrimp po boy from Macs food truck! Grady was playing the guitar and entertaining the crowd. Cool place!
Always a good time! I wish the music selection was better.. or more diverse!
Loved it! 3 trucks there at 3pm.. a 4th pulled in before I left. Plenty of outdoor seating.. some covered. Also noticed a couple ski ball arcade games 🥳
The perfect place to unwind with your friends and family (including your fur babies!). Enjoy a beer and local grub rain or shine (they have a covered sectionalong with some live music. Always a fun time.
Super chill spot with plenty of seating, a variety of food trucks, and even a wide selection of canned craft beer. Definitely a good spot for the entire family as well as your pups.
Good good but nowhere to sit if you have one it two people. They only have picnic tables and when you ask if you can sit down they’ll say they are holding the table for their family or friends. This happened to me several times. Then later there are only two or three people at the table. They need some small tables and a no holding policy on the seating. This is ridiculous.
Im a huge fan of Central filling Station and always recommend them. The food trucks are ever- changing so theres always something youll love. My newest favorite is the Bayou truck with Poboys!! CJ Tacos is always good and the Fussies Deli truck was good, too. They also have a huge turnout on trivia nights and a great selection of beers!
Great place to enjoy the food trucks and relax.
Great place to enjoy a unique variety of local food truck fare. Theyve got a good selection of soft drinks, beers and hard seltzer as well as a non-alcoholic beer option. Totally open air, but a large portion is covered under a high shed roof so you can still enjoy a meal in the rain. Family friendly with activities for the kids and plenty of space to spread out.
We go here Everytime we are in Knoxville . So many Food trucks! There is also a beer truck and plenty of spaced out outdoor seating. Has the cutest bucket list chalkboard.
This place is really cool. There were two food trucks when we went and an area for beverages and bathrooms and tables. If you are anywhere nearby it’s a cool place to stop to eat
Very cool place to get unique food and good beer.
Always a great atmosphere and solid food and beer options 👌
I had a great experience. The atmosphere was wonderful. Lots of pets, friendly people and familys everywhere. Some of the food trucks are slower than others so expect to have part of your group waiting longer than others if you use different trucks.
Same food truck says the last time pretty much and none of it was all that exciting. I dont recommend that you have so much barbecue and mix it up with different food trucks from the area. The food was pretty lame and filled with wheat and other products that arent really good for the digestive tract. The vibe is awesome there and theres lots of cool people but the food pretty much was awful. I can only eat so much ramen noodle before its time to mix it up a little.
A pretty cool way to enjoy some locallly owned and operated food trucks as well as live music. Dog and kid friendly as well. Its usually pretty busy on weekends, but Thursday evenings in my opinion is a great way to ease into the weekend since its a little less crowded and lines are shorter.
SoWich is stellar in quality & service! Recommend the Heady Grill Cheese with Potato Soup. Excellent!
Really good atmosphere and variety of both people and food. The open outdoor seating and fire pit is a nice bonus.
I love this place. Excellent food options from the various good trucks and a wonderful beer selection. Very friendly atmosphere too.
We had some great food! I gotta Chicken Alfredo Quesadilla from Geno’s Curbside Diner! AwEsOmE!!
Friendly atmosphere. Good beer. Good food trucks. If youve never been I suggest you try it out. Below are a couple pics from the grand reopening for the season tonight. Happy hour 3-6pm all week. $1 off all booze. The prices are already good so you end up getting solid crafts for around $3-4 range.
Good atmosphere. Stuff for kids to do (jumble tower, giant connect 4, corn hole). Shaded and sunny areas. Lights at night. Good music. Different food trucks daily.Chef Aarons Creations has $11 burgers that are worth every penny and I am a cheap man.
Always a fun time here with lots of room for sitting and fun games for kids to play. Several rotating food trucks and a permanent bar make this an awesome outdoor venue with several special music events and activities.
super Chill Spot that has just about everything for everyone. There is definitely a Sandbox for kids to play as it is kid friendly as well as dog friendly as long as you bring a leash! Maybe for both.the bar is really legit too as they have different options for beer and liquor Etc. Theres a really cool wall too that you can fill in the blank with before I die blank blank blank something you want to do. Really awesome and unique and I love how this place really helps the Central Avenue area as it is becoming of itself! Do more of this and you can look online and on Facebook for the schedules of food trucks that should be there on a given day.
I love this place everybody is friendly. The food is really really good. If your a foodie this is the place to be.
We went here for lunch on a Thursday. There were only 3 food trucks. I loved the setting and the food but I would have liked more options for food
Cool place, simple but great food and beer!
Just visited last weekend and wow! What a really cool place to go grab a bite to eat and hang out. Around lunch hour theres generally 4 trucks, and in the evening about 6 trucks. Its awesome to have a place to hang out, get a multitude of different food options and just relax. Theres a sandbox for small children, cornhole, covered and open seating and a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere, with great people, tons of food options with the different food trucks. Stop by and have a great time with friends and family.
Love it! Cant wait to go back and try out a different truck and they offer beer and hard ciders.
Always good! Plus I love the sidewalk chalk, corn hole, and sandbox to entertain the kids!
A very chill, safe & welcoming environment. I come Speciffically for CJs Tacos. A MUST TRY, Tastebud Explosion. Ask for "Belly" 😉 The Owner CJ, is a very nice fella, and Mr.Belly is full of Life.Enjoy
The coolest place Ive seen yet. And Ive seen a lot of cool places. The idea to retrofit a gas station into a food truck venue with a pinic area is genius. I love it and I recommend folks support this local venture!
Had another fabulous meal prepared by Bruce Bogartz. Make time to find where he will be next by googling his food truck, “Bogartz Food Arts”. Well worth it. We had a shrimp Po Boy and shrimp with grits. Both were fantastic. We found him at The Central Filling Station which is Centrally located, has a covered eating area, dog friendly and they have a full bar. This place is a much needed change to the usual same old same old. If you want new and different you will find it here.
Food truck park is food for everyone!Nice seating area under cover and outside picnic tables.I got a vegan sweet potato / pepper burrito as big as a small child from the burrito truck. Excellent!
